Takeout for a party - all around great sheet pizza and fingers
    Laura G.

My favorite sheet pizza in WNY. Crust is chewy and thick, sauce has a nice tomato tang, and the pepperoni has perfectly burnt edges. If you have someone looking for traditional Buffalo pizza, this is the place!

    Pizza. The best.

This is the best pizza ever! Keep up the good work! I'm from Jamestown but whenever I'm in Blasdell I get one. I'm glad my gf has a doctor there !

Picassos is only greedy with no care for the customers or staff. My fiance and I and our entire family will no longer be buying from Picasso's. I work next door to Picassos and usually go in for their lunch special. A 20oz soda, with a single slice and 5 wings for $13 is pricey but reasonable for my 6 hour shift. So imagine my surprise when I order my regular and they charge me $17 for it??? WHAT? thats INSANE. So I ask and they say that they have taken off all of the specials and that it reflects online but not on the physical menus yet. Okay fine. I go back to my work to wait for my food. But the pricing bothers me. So I try to order my regular order online. And it tells me that its available for $14 and some change(about $15). The guy (a high school kid) comes in to give my my order and I ask him "hey, how late is your manager or store owner staying today?" He says "until 4". So then I say, "sorry, its just, I'm having an issue with the price and I KNOW its not your fault so I don't want to take any of it out on you." This kid starts crying in my doorway and bowing slightly saying "thank you" a few times just so extremely glad that I won't yell at him?? So I go on and it gets busy so I miss the chance to talk to the manager. But then later I see one of Picasso's customers chasing the delivery driver(another kid) outside and just raising all hell at this kid about the prices. It happened so fast and I was too stunned to do anything. But I DO NOT reccomend a pizza place who keeps uping the prices, staffs only Highschool kids (at barely minimum wage), and leaves them to fend for themselves against angry customers. Picassos is only greedy with no care for the customers or staff. My fiance and I and our entire family will no longer be buying from Picasso's.

    Pepperoni cheese pizza (large)

So first off, this pizza place has become my absolute favorite. It's a tad bit on the greasy side but once I dab it with paper towel, ring the paper towel out from all the grease and then dab it again , it's perfect to eat with out having a mild heart attack . Their consistency is not the best but that's most places in Buffalo I come to find out. In the picture attached there's literally no cheese in parts of the pizza , like give me my greasy cheese damnit ! Flavor though, is what always keeps me coming back for more. I will put up with the inconsistency as long as the flavor stays the same and I will stock up on paper towels to keep the (mild) heart attacks at bay.

Nicely boxed sub and bbq fries.

I just had the best turkey sub from Picasso's today. Everything was extremely fresh, boxed up very nice, the quality was awesome. This will definitely be our new go to spot for subs. Oh don't get me started on the fantastic rolls, just come try them for yourself.

They don't mind serving you wings that look like this.

Consistently great pepperoni pizza, and good wings. I also like how they do slices in large portions.

We had called in an order for some cheese slices, some pepperoni slices and a salad. When we got the food out, however, it turns out we got all cheese slices. The salad was loaded with black olives, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, and cheese. The dressing was well packaged in a small cup wrapped in plastic, perfect for transit. The food was all quite tasty and was much enjoyed. Staff was courteous and efficient. There is a small parking lot available out front and it was hopping! We saw someone come out with a giant pizza that must have been the party size - very impressive and no doubt great for a crowd!

The restaurant itself is a very strange setup. It's on a main road but far back behind other buildings. Almost like you couldn't overly see it from the main road. I think that's why this place isn't more popular than it is. Inside is a cool setup. Lots of seating for tables of all sizes. Big, huge bar and then a small arcade setup to the side. Made a great place for me to bring my daughter without worrying about her being too loud and disrupting other guests. The arcade gave her something to do when she got bored at the table. The food has vastly improved since my last visit. They have greatly improved their pizza dough and their standard cheese pizza (we added fresh mushrooms) was SO GOOD. It tasted just like a pizza hut pan pizza with better ingredients. My friend got a cheeseburger which he said was really great, and my other friend got a quesadilla, which wasn't her fav... But okay. The tots we ordered as an appetizer were horrendous though. Way overcooked. The waitress was nice enough to bring out some applesauce for the young toddler we had with us that was hungry and crabby. Such a sweet gesture!

We chose to sit at the bar and had a very polite and pleasant bartender who took our drink orders and promptly served them . I ordered a Tito's Mule - it was fair , not quite as ginger flavored as I hoped but it was ok . We ordered the fried cheese curds that come with a marinara sauce as an app , these were pretty good . We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wing dip which we did not enjoy at all - they were kind enough to remove it from the bill , one bite was enough. I'm not sure if they use the canned chicken that tastes ultimately like tuna fish but the flavor was definitely off. As for our meals , I ordered the weck slider with 5 chicken wings and it was quite good . The hot wings were perfectly hot and delicious. The beef on weck was quite good too .I actually even liked the pickles they came with on the side, which are often left uneaten. My partner got the chicken fajitas and she did not enjoy them . The rice was bland and the chicken did not have the flavor/seasoning she would have expected so she didn't eat much of her meal . The atmosphere here is that of a larger "neighborhood" type bar , but there is an area on the back with an adequate selection of arcade games to keep kids ( as well as adults ) busy for awhile . I think the smallest denomination game card was $25 which is much too high in my opinion . We gave the remainder of our balance to a young boy who was celebrating his birthday as I don't think we will be back . Overall we thought the service was great , the food - hit or miss. Stick to the most basic items like chicken wings and fries , bottled beer - you should be fine.

I called a little after 4:30pm on a Saturday and an automated system answered and provided multiple options, with "1" for calling in a pickup/delivery order. After pressing "1", it took a couple minutes for someone to answer and when they finally did, they told me they had to place me on hold, thankfully this was not even 10 seconds of waiting though. A gentleman then took my order - he was courteous and I appreciated him asking the cooks in the back a question I had about topping substitutions, which they were good with. After giving my phone number and they found my name and I placed my order, he said give them 30 minutes, which is pretty reasonable, standard. Imperial Pizza on Abbott Rd. does have a parking lot, but it's usually jam-packed so I usually park along the road on a side street close-by. The pickup process was simple and quick, but I will say, the gentlemen working behind the counter weren't too friendly, but they were quick. So for dinner, I ordered a Half (9", six slice) Stuffed Hot Pepper Pizza, but I substituted the Italian sausage for meatballs. The pizza was excellent and had a nice heft to it! Perfect cook on the dough with a nice crisp to the crust and plenty of (sweeter-side) red sauce and cheese. The stuffed hot peppers are diced up and placed generously on each slice, the cheese filling within the hot banana peppers is creamy and does a nice job to contrast the spice from the hot banana peppers. The meatballs were crumbled nicely across the pizza but I could've used a little more (but that's me though :) ). Doing the substitution for meatballs did not increase the price, which was very nice to see, and compared to the other pizza shops I frequently go to, the price was reasonable! Imperial Pizza truly is a Buffalo pizza "heavy hitter"! I don't come here too often but when I've worked up a healthy appetite, I know a pizza from Imperial Pizza will satisfy it.

The three stars is a fair assessment I believe. The food is bar food, and really it's all kind of mid. Not terrible, but certainly not knocking it out of the park. Service has been good every time I've been there Just a very in the middle kind of place. Other positives to note however; it is a large place, so probably really good for groups, which is probably why the people where I work keep scheduling things there. They do accommodate those parties well. They have garage door walls so in the summer the place can be fully opened up at least in the bar and main seating areas. And of course, they have an arcade, so if you're looking for a place that has more to do while you're there, the arcade side is an option very few other places would offer.
