I don't normally get a plain cheese but I guess there's first time for everything. We grabbed a couple of slices to try. I loved the amount of thick cheese on top with a thin layer of sauce. Just the way I like it. The crust was thin, not too thin. Again. Just the way i like it. Service was quick & friendly. I'll definitely go back to try their other pizzas. 2026-6 read more

LaPorta's Pizzeria - Cheese pizza - Pizza Near Me - Buffalo, New York

The pizzas and salads are always good. Have had a number of different flavors for pizza, and each is wonderful. For a special treat, top dinner off with some wings. read more

We do love our neighborhood pizza joint! LaPorta's Pizzeria has been our favorite take home salad and pizza place for years. Their chef salad is a staple even if it's all we order. Yes, it's iceberg lettuce, but the salad is built in the container with layers of lettuce, celery, chickpeas, purple cabbage, black olives, seasoning and cut up tomatoes on top. It's like a little salad party in a box. The fam likes their personal pan pizzas, or just a regular pizza. There is an eat-in area with some big screen tvs or order on the Slice app and pick up or have your order delivered. read more

Very disappointing! Ordered antipasto salad and 2 slices of pizza to go. Salad was a container of lettuce and very minimal toppings. Only 1/2 slices of 2 cheeses meat 1/2 slice of 2 different meats with a-slight sprinkle of parm cheese. Very little micro chopped tomatoes. Pizza was very stale but reheated. Not nearly worth the 25.00 paid. Will not go back! read more

ordered a large cheese and pep for delivery...$40...WHAT?? and mediocre at best never again

I hadn't had wings from this restaurant in many years. I ordered 20, medium for pickup. About the only thing that was remotely good about them is they were huge. They had absolutely no crisp, no sauce, and they were maybe mild at best. I could only eat 4 of them. Far from worth the $35.75 I paid. I don't plan to get wings from there ever again. read more

Stopped in and bought 2 slices of cheese/ pepperoni pizza. It cost just over $9.00. The pizza was kinda doughy and just ok tasting. Not bad but nothing I'd go out of my way for. If I had to score it 1-10 I'd give it a 6.5 read more

The service was friendly and efficient. Not your average pizza place. The food is outstanding!! Love the pizza! Make it a regular spot! Highly recommend. read more

When we first moved to East Amherst, I searched long and hard to find a pizzeria with pizza that I loved...LaPorta's was it! I love a pie with a bunch of oregano and this tastes like my mom's! read more

I have been frequenting LaPorta's for years, the service is great and the food is amazing! My favorites are their personal veggie pizzas, their mean meatball subs, salads, pizza and wings. Family owned and operated since 1986, LaPorta's is simply the best! read more

Love LaPorta's! It's always consistent - which is hard to find these days. Their regular pizza, deep dish and thin crust are all fantastic.

Easy to order off online menu. Always consistently good food. Pizza always tastes great and wings are meaty and delicious.

The homemade pizza and boneless wings were delicious! We had a bigger group and they were both so friendly and helpful. Hope to defintely be back! read more

Food and restaurant conditions are terrible. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The staff were friendly and accommodating but the food was awful. Pizza is comparable to store bought frozen pizza in my opinion. Lacks fresh premium ingredients that one would expect from a Buffalo pizzeria. There are plenty of other options in the immediate area that are miles better than this spot in my opinion. I really wanted to give them a fair shot but it's a strong miss for me. As for the "dinning room"; it's in an unacceptable state. I would not eat here as it is extremely dated, dirty and poorly lit. I sat to wait for my pizza and noticed that the chair and table is coated with a certain dirt build up. Not a good look. I also had the time to notice that the windows are filthy looking like they haven't been cleaned in years. If that's the front of your business I can only image what the kitchen looks like... yikes. read more

They have a great gluten free pizza here and I would recommend them for pizza and wings. They are a great staple.

When my family came to Buffalo we wanted to try a local pizza place. Boy what a mistake we made trying this place. First off when I ordered the time said 35 to 50 minutes then once the order was placed the time went to over an hour. I requested utensils and plates, none of which was included. When the delivery driver finally showed up he advised that he was unsure how I was going to carry the drinks since the lemonade spilled since it was a 20oz. He advised they don't carry those. I went back to the site and sure enough there is the 20oz lemonade listed. So for almost $3 I got a half glass of lemonade. All of this could have been saved by this pizza since we were all just starving from our long trip. Little did we know that would be the worst part of the experience. The breadstick things were so cold I'm sure they were from a day ago. The pizza wasn't as cold but I have had better pizza in a hospital parking lot. This disaster cost nearly $60!!!!!!!!!! I finally had enough and complained on the app I bought the pizza through and they gave me back less than 10% of the total. I stated that was nice but it didn't even cover the McDonald's I had to buy since the food was inedible. So $90 later I can say that both this pizza place and McDonald's suck but at least the McDonald's was hot. read more

When this place first opened, there was no bathroom. So everyone used the Mexican Porta Potty that was outside, known colloquially as "La Porta Potty". The name stuck, and even though the porta potty is long since gone, and they actually have a real bathroom now, it will forever be named after that cute little outhouse that helped this place make its name. What to get: Specialty Slices - veggie or Buffalo Chicken. So I tried La Porta's. I ate the food. I nommed the cheese and pep slice. It was good. It was CHEESY AS HELL, it was actually a bit reminiscent of Bozanna's which broke my heart recently when it closed down, on Main St between Clarence and W-ville. But it's not really as good as that and so I will probably going to give it a 4/5 based on that. They I tried their veggie slice and my word, it was totally different. Not too cheesy, fresh and delicious... totally different from their saturated, over the top cheese and pep slice. It was still fairly cheesy though. So between the two I would definitely get the veggie again although I am sure I will try others. I would give this place a 5 for the veggie slice, but with reservations, because I will have to try it a couple more times to see exactly how much I like it, and maybe give a couple of the other slices a go. But there's a real absence of great pizza in this part of town, so this one stands out like a beacon in the night. I'll give it a 4 for now and then try it again and see where it stands. The first time I went there, the whole plaza had a gas leak, so I didn't get to try anything. But it was totally worth going back the second time. read more

I've been coming here for pizza for years and want to say that I'm so glad to have them nearby because they have the best deep dish white pizza! Not many places offer it and yesterday I was thrilled to get a loaded pizza, no skimping on toppings! Worth the money. So delicious. Keep doing what you're doing, La Porta!!!! read more

Attention! if you have Celiac Disease do not order their gluten free pizza. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza Gluten free and the chicken on it is not gluten free!!! I'm glad I didn't eat it all, when I called to tell them the owner, he did not care and pretty much said oh well. if you carry gluten free food then you need to be educated on what it is and what it does to people. if I would have ate it I would have been in the hospital. They wouldn't do anything for me. Poor customer service. You would think he would be like omg I'm so sorry what can I do to make it right. nope. we will never ever order from there again. read more

This is another restaurant claiming they serve chicken fingers . With the increase in prices all restaurants are buying the cheapest chicken fingers they can find but yet charging you 4x's more . These breaded chicken planks you call fingers are simple not good . As being a chicken finger professional bigger is not better . But the hot sauce was very good . Along with that I purchased French fry's . My preference is crispy on outside and tender in the middle . Fries undercooked or been sitting around are nasty . Full of grease . read more

After being in the house for over 1 month and being highly cautious as to eating anywhere but from a grocery store pickup, we decided to order LaPorta's pizza, wings and chick fingers. My teenagers were thrilled to eat food that didn't come out of a freezer package. I called ahead of time to make sure they'd bring the food out to our car trunk. And sure enough we popped our trunk and out came a man carrying our food with a mask & gloves on. Food was delicious and they wrote "Thank You" on a box. We'd like to say "Thank You" to the courageous staff/chefs at Laporta's and everywhere. read more

LaPorta's Pizzeria - Wings & Fingers~ - Pizza Near Me - Buffalo, New York

Small neighborhood pizza spot. Dough is hand spun, airy and sauce was tasty. We did the small pizza and 10 wings medium sauce for 21.99 and the pizza was pretty big. Blue cheese appeared to be homemade and served a plentiful amount. Wings were crispy and sauced well. Nothing fancy but basic done right. Service was friendly and place was tidy. We will be back. read more

A friend recommend this place for a calzone. I ordered over the phone for pick up. I got there about 6 minutes early and it was still in the oven. Which I was happy about because that means it wasn't sitting out in a box getting cold and soggy. The calzone was fresh, hot, and enormous. I walked out excited to get home to eat it. The flavors were delicious and it had the right amount of ingredients in it. Two thumbs up I will be back again! read more

LaPorta's Pizzeria - Large Calzone - Pizza Near Me - Buffalo, New York

Good quality pizzeria! My favorite menu item is their wings, specifically the cajun ones. They're dry rubbed with the seasoning instead of coated with sauce, and in my opinion is so much more flavorful. Their pizza is also delicious. It's a thicker crust, not thin. One of my go-to pizza and wing places. read more

We had a horrible experience with LaPortas. We ordered a large pizza and the bottom was charred to the point where half the pizza was not edible. Very disappointing, I could not believe the staff thought it was appropriate to give a half burned pizza to a patron. What made matters worse, is that the owner cashed me out, he saw how burned The pizza was and he allowed it to leave his place of business. I will never order Anything from there in the future. read more

The pizza is like eating a tasteless pillow. That's about the highest compliment I can give it. The wings had a weird taste about them. Not off exactly, but not like your standard wings you'll find everywhere in the Buffalo area. Next time I feel like ordering a pizza and wings from here I'll have to remember to just throw the $58 directly into the garbage can, since that's where it ended up anyway. At least that would save the hassle of having it delivered. read more

With the lack of delivery options in Williamsville/Getzville, I gave LaPorta's a shot. I used to love the chicken finger subs here when I was a kid. And I must say, the chicken finger sub was still decent. It was a solid 3.5 stars. Good flavor and sauces-to-toppings ratio. Additionally, the char-bbq wings were quite tasty. I would say the chicken items the best thing here. The pizza looked amazing, but somehow lacked any real flavor. It wasn't gross, just completely forgettable... I would not order it again. My search for Buffalo's best pizza will continue. Suggestions welcome. read more

Food is good - but the owner/manager consistently refuses orders placed well before closing. It's very annoying and we've stopped ordering from here. And the odd occasion that we do decide to order they are predictable every time. - we have too many orders. What pizzeria closes at 8pm in Buffalo anyway? read more

First, the service has always been friendly and polite. Second, I really wanted to like their pizza, but couldn't get past the cheese. It has an oddly sour taste that ruins the pizza. If you scrape the cheese off the crust is good. Beyond their pizza their subs are really good, always consistently delicious. Bottom line skip the pizza, order the subs. read more

I have heard about them from one of my colleague who knew the owner and highly recommended this place just because he though the owner is a very nice gentleman! I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint me! it was right before Corona outbreak, we placed our order and we went to spend some time at the adjacent super market meanwhile ( Dash's ) We got back to our car and was waiting for our order to be ready. They saw us and they brought the pizza to our car in the parking lot and it was very nice of them! very friendly and professional people. the pizza was really good but I'd say it may not be the best pizza I've had in my life. a bit cheesy and thick crust. however, the taste was really good. overall it was a great experience! read more

This is a response to LaPorta's response to my review. The item in question was ONE dollar, not $3.50. First I asked & paid many times when the extra sauce didn't arrive. This makes you look even pettier. I was the one who kept YOUR business afloat during Covid. We even talked about it. You said we'll have soup when Governor Cuomo allows diners back in. Remember that? I placed many an order so then I ask for a perk or something that demonstrates your loyalty to me and you say no- to $1.00? Get off it. Ask your driver how many trips he made to this address. Then come back & tell you were right. You lost a customer. read more

Ate in. First time customer. Had pizza and fingers. Large pizza is huge by weight standards alone. It was okay. Fingers were unfortunately very greasy and somewhat over cooked. Overall, food was average. Upside: Staff is eager to help and very friendly. read more

Tried the Cheese and Cheese/Pepperoni while dining in. Nice little local pizza place with very friendly owners/staff. Price is okay and the pizza was good. Not a bad place to stop if you're in the area. They do have decent lunch special as well (2slice and a drink) read more

Ive ordered from this place before and enjoyed the food. But the customer service sucked and now since im so disappointed i have to update my review. Im so mad every time call after 11pm they say they "sent the delivery guy home sick" this is the 3rd time! The one time they did deliver i gave the guy a very generous tip being it was so late. I work over nights and order as soon as i get here, the house is literally right across the street but i cant leave my client so i guess ill starve and never count on ordering from them ever again. It says right on the front of the menu "We Deliver All Day!" Liars!!!!! read more

LaPorta's Pizzeria - Pizza Near Me - Buffalo, New York

I used go to LaPorta's a lot when I was younger for a good-but-not-great neighborhood pizza. Recently, I've been consistently disappointed. Over the last 3 or 4 months I've ordered 5 or 6 times for pickup and they've been late every time. Two of those times were 30 minutes late or more. One time I ordered a large lunch order for my co-workers, I arrived 10 minutes after my pickup time and they hadn't even started the order... so that was very embarrassing for me. Foolishly I tried once more just because it's close to where I live, and today got one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. WAY over cooked, smashed in on one side, and 30 minutes late! And when I initially asked for my order, I was rudely told "you got a few minutes" and I realized then that it was obviously not even started. So anyway, they are disorganized, awkward, sloppy, and very inconsistent. Second star only for sentimentality's sake, but I won't be going again. read more

LaPorta's deserves five stars on all counts -quality of pizza and other menu items, service, prices, location, etc. I used to live around the corner so I grew up coming here and once I went to college and joined clubs, I convinced my clubs to use LaPorta's for club events on campus. They were reliable and we always were told by club members how great the pizza and wings were. Now that I'm a working gal, I come here pretty often to grab a slice of pizza or a salad on my way home from work. Personal favorites: any of the veggie slices that they have on display -they are always fresh and when heated up, they don't stand a chance against other fast food places. Just delicious. Also personal pan pizzas are so great -you can get any topping you want! Their chef salads are also a good menu choice -very big and full of the freshest lettuce and topped off with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and cheese. The wait time is always reasonable at LaPorta's, too. For a personal pan pizza, your average wait time is ~25 minutes. To get a slice heated up to go is ~5 minutes. Pat, the owner, is friendly, accommodating and quick to strike a deal with you if you become a regular for catering to a club or event (i.e. tax break). Scott is always great, too. Quick to know your name and greet you when you walk in. If you come here to sit down and eat, service is again exceptional. I don't expect there to be waiter service at neighborhood pizza joint, but they insist on coming over with your food and bussing the table afterwards. They do a great job keeping an eye on your table, too, in case you're looking for a fork or napkins. read more
