Gluten free Crab tortellini Alfredo
Heather C.

We made a reservation on their website, definitely recommended- it was very busy. Seated right away and asked if we needed a gluten free menu which we did. The ambiance of the restaurant was great- it smelled amazing as soon as you entered. Our little 2 person table was perfect and in a nice warm area. I ordered gluten free crab tortellini Alfredo, my husband had the lasagna and we finished with chocolate lavender cake. Everything tasted great and was nice and fresh. The best part for me as someone who is gluten free was the pre meal bread- they brought me gluten free bread and him regular bread. It's so nice for a restaurant to not just skip the pre meal bread for the gluten free person. Much appreciated! Highly recommended!

Authentic Italian Gem in Hershey, PA Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior that makes this trattoria look more like a casual pizzeria -- once you step inside, you're in for a delightful surprise! The charming bar area, complete with reserved seating, gives way to a bustling dining room that was completely packed by 5 PM on a Saturday. And judging by the long line at the pizza takeout counter on the other side, they're clearly doing something right! We kicked off our meal with the meatball and garlic bread appetizer ($8). While the three meatballs were on the smaller side, they were packed with flavor, and paired with the garlicky, buttery bread, it was a great start to the meal. One of my dinner companions ordered the soup of the day, a Manhattan clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. For mains, two of us opted for the veal parmesan with spaghetti -- a solid 4 out of 5 stars! But the real standout for me was the chicken piccata served over creamy risotto. Absolutely delicious! To round off my meal, I enjoyed a house Bourbon Old Fashioned that was mixed to perfection. If you're a fan of classic cocktails, give it a try! Service was warm and friendly! And, our waitress was extremely helpful answering our questions about the area A couple of pro tips: Definitely make reservations, as this place fills up fast! Also, there's plenty of free parking in the strip mall lot, and it's just a quick 2-mile drive from Hershey Park and the stadium. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!

Food was tasty and light, no after dinner heart burn like I normally would have after an Italian meal. We had margarita pizza that is made with homemade dough and mozzarella cheese- my husband was skeptical as he usually prefers red sauce with it, but we were both blown away with the pizza. The meatball with spaghetti and vodka penne pasta that has homemade penne were cooked perfectly and delicious! Tiramisu was amazing, tastes just like the one back at home in Boston. Tiramisu was also made in house. Our waiter was also great! Will definitely be back again when we go to Hershey Park next summer!

And they didn't tell us the price of the special before and I should have asked. But I've never had a 50 dollar swordfish that's why I didn't ask. It's always busy there and it's good now, not great. The sauce changed since I last went. I would give it one more chance.

It was very busy and we didn't have a reservation. They made adjustments to the seating chart and had us seated in 10 minutes. As someone who is dairy free, I asked if they would be able to make accommodations and they were happy to. We started with a bread basket. The bread came out warm which was perfect on a cold evening. Not to mention the oil was fantastic. Then, I ordered a chicken Marsala which the chef made dairy free for me. It came with a soup that was to die for (can't remember which kind). The portion size of the Marsala over linguini was huge and I was able to have leftovers for the next day. The wait staff were so kind and made you feel like family. Would definitely recommend Lazzaro's.

Fresh bread w butter was provided. The place is unusual in that you must purchase a lodge membership in order to be able to order alcohol. The application for lodge membership to be potentially approved takes some time. None of my friends had this membership but one of them wanted to get it in the future: I do not need drinks to enjoy my time but I am still open to them. I try to be pickier about drinks because I feel inundated from them throughout life, The choices they have tend to be very mainstream Italian and I wasn't expecting too adventurous in this more remote area (compared to Philadelphia) and this isn't a place I would typically pick on my own, but they do the food well here. I wanted to try a dessert but nothing struck my fancy AND I was too full. I unregrettably ate about half My dish and took the rest home. Staff here is very friendly.

In my opinion there was nothing special about it, and I see no reason to go back.

This place is very pricey, and knowing this we stuck with water and no appetizers. Our waitress was standoffish and yanked the menus out of our hand when we declined drinks or appetizers and frowned at us...even though her tip was easily going to be a nice chunk due to the expensive menu prices. I got the Lobster Tagliatelle, which was pretty good. It had a great depth of flavor, and the onions really pulled everything together. I would've preferred the greens to be maybe blended into the sauce, since they ended up clumping together in focused areas in the dish. There was a sufficient amount of lobster in the dish. I was comfortably full by the end of the meal. My husband got the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was disappointing. There wasn't much flavor, enough so that it could've been on a kid's menu. He added a bunch of salt and pepper but was still underwhelming. For the price, it was honestly pitiful. He said that he was still hungry by the end of the meal. For my meal, I would recommend this place only if you are looking for an expensive night out. Based on my husband's meal, I would say absolutely do not waste your time or money.
