My husband and I stopped by Benaiah's on a Thursday evening during happy hour, and it exceeded our expectations. The dining room has an upscale feel with white tablecloths and wine glasses already set at each table, yet the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with most guests dressed casually. It was quiet when we arrived, making it a perfect spot to unwind, and gradually became more lively as the dinner crowd came in. We chose to sit at the bar, where the bartender took care of us for the entire meal. He was friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about his craft. We started with mocktails - a Marigold and a Berry Pop - and they were absolutely outstanding. These weren't just fruit juice blends--they were thoughtfully crafted with premium non-alcoholic spirits, bitters, and other quality ingredients. They had all the complexity and presentation of a traditional cocktail, and we were genuinely impressed. We ordered small plates to share from the happy hour menu. The grouper tacos were fresh and flavorful, and the mango habanero crema added the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. The elote potatoes were the best! The smashed fingerling potatoes were crispy around the edges with just the right amount of seasoning and spice, and the roasted corn complemented them beautifully. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavor. If you appreciate a unique menu featuring premium ingredients, a talented chef, and a skilled bartender who pays attention to every detail, you'll love Benaiah's. We left impressed and are already looking forward to coming back. read more

7/23/2026 We had an enjoyable dinner. The place is lively and slightly loud due to the hard surfaces My spare ribs were good, though a bit over-sauced. The salmon was also enjoyable, and the deconstructed fajitas were creative, though I'm not sure the deconstructed approach worked quite as well as traditional fajitas. The wine was a standout. The Tempranillo and Montepulciano were both excellent. Our server, Tina, was great--friendly and attentive, and she made the evening even better. Overall, a good meal with some creative dishes, excellent wine, and wonderful service. read more

I live pretty close to this spot and have enjoyed the service and food at Beerded Goat, so we decided to check out Benaiah's. First of all, the restaurant is gorgeous and has a bar area set aside as well that makes it a very accessible restaurant. We went during happy hour and our waitress, Heather, knocked it out of the park! So polite, funny, friendly, and attentive. She made it a great experience! We enjoyed the happy hour menu of elote potatoes and $4 drafts! For our main meal, I had the half order of the crab pappardelle and my husband had the half order of the chicken pot pie pasta, we were both floored with the taste and helping, definitely treat yourself! We ended up paying $80 for our drinks, apps, and meals which we thought was a steal! Quality: 4.5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Cost for value: 4.5/5 read more

Benaiahs Scratch Kitchen - Crab pappardelle and chicken pot pie pasta - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Food was amazing. Our server recommended two appetizers which we got and a crab pasta entree. My wife and I split the entree (full size) and the Italian Cobb Salad. The entree pasta was made from scratch and highly recommended by our server. All the food and drinks were delicious. Nobody in our group had heard of this spot but everyone loved it! First time for all 6 of us and we'd all go again. It was a bit pricey and my main reason for 4/5 stars, but the price may just be more of a function of the current environment-- everything is expensive. read more

Loved this place. Stumbled upon it accidentally and glad we did. Tastefully decorated and on the smaller side. Sat at the bar since we didn't have reservations, although there seemed to be several open tables on a Saturday night. Our bar tender Raydon was awesome. He was very attentive and engaging. The food was very artfully presented and absolutely delicious. We had the deviled egg appetizer, side salad , salmon and the chicken Mediterranean bowl. All were absolutely delicious! Will definitely return when we are in the area. read more

My wife and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and NYE at Benaiahs this year. The cocktails here are STRONG. We had the fried green tomato appetizer which was delicious and both had the pork chop special which was cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the banana creme brulee which was phenomenal and the sweet potato cake - also tasty not overly sweet, popcorn garnish was soft vs crunchy though. They also left a card on our table which was super nice but the best part of the evening was our server Tina. She was phenomenal. Even on a busy night she gave us recommendations, was attentive, and so nice. Five star experience for sure. The space also was nice, only thing that was kind of a bummer was being right by the door where servers were going in and out, but the service was top notch so not that big of a deal. read more

Benaiah's wood fired kitchen was a place I was highly anticipating to visit. Unfortunately for me it wasn't exactly a place I would have to visit again. While the service was absolutely amazing.. the food was just good.. and yes good is good but for the price points there's nothing to really rave about and you could probably go somewhere else and get more bang for your buck. The ambiance is also just kinda " meh" it kinda feels like you're sitting in a shed, just very " pop up " feeling which they are newer so it makes sense. read more

Amazing new brunch spot! I went with the bacon and Gouda omelette. It was packed full of flavor with balsamic onions, bacon, and Gouda. What made the dish was the horseradish aïoli on top. Don't forget about the potatoes that were so crispy and seasoned perfectly. My friend had the crab Benedict and it looked so fresh. She said it was some of the best Benedict she's ever had. We split the pastry, but unfortunately, it was a little burnt. The place is decorated just enough. The bar is inviting. Their cocktails make me want to try everyone. read more

Had a great brunch. Kids enjoyed their food. Elote potatoes were the stand out dish. Classic Benedict was nice but the hollandaise was a little flavorless. Service very good but stretched thin. Ambiance was energetic. Would go back but want to try more of the menu. read more

Let me start with this may have been one of my favorite meals in years! My wife and I stopped after a comedy show in Hershey. The location is... interesting. I thought I was driving into a neighborhood and we put the address in wrong. When we entered the staff could not have been nicer. We were so impressed with our server, Tina, and all the employees. The place is dim but very clean. It can be a nice date night or you could take the kids. The menu is unreal and I could have eaten anything on it. The kids menu is great. We started with the elote potatoes after my wife had an espresso martini. The potatoes are almost like a street corn potatoes and is charred and crispy. It was excellent and a fantastic start. For entrees I had the crab pasta and she had the Mediterranean chicken bowl. Let's start with the pasta- legit homemade and outstanding. I never get crab dishes outside of Maryland. Our server said it was one of their most popular and I see why. It has a little spice and is in a rose sauce. As good as it was the pasta really is the star. My wife's chicken bowl was everything. She loves on a plate. It was fresh, clean, and scrumptious. She ate the entire thing and the portions were large. The chicken was perfect. Seasoned and cooked to expert levels. She will obsess over this dish for a while. Simple but amazing. We finished with dessert. A piece of chocolate cake that when it arrived you would think it was a quarter of the cake. It was rich but not sweet. The milk raspberry crunch was totally different. I do not care for raspberry but ate this and really enjoyed it. So I give it a 10/10 on food and service. We live an hour away and will find a reason to come back. The best part was we walked out with all this food, great service, and a bottle of win and the price was $169. I think the value is there and I hope this place thrives. read more

Best food I've had in the area for a while. Yes, the food is on the pricier end but it is definitely worth a try. The meat is cooked to perfection. The wood fire grill definitely makes a difference! They gave us complementary sourdough bread with a goat cheese (and i believe cranberry?) spread. It was moist and delicious. The drinks were alright. We could've gone without them. We started with the Brussels sprouts. If you don't like Brussels, you might like this one. My husband doesn't like Brussels but couldn't stop eating this one. I got the steak and he got the chicken. I love steak but the chicken was better in my opinion. Either way, the food was delicious. All the vegetables were well seasoned and cooked. Our server was kind and answered our questions about the food. The place is small and connected to another restaurant (bearded goat) . It was a more intimate setting. Perfect date spot or a nice place to go with family/close friends. read more

We've been wanting to try this restaurant, and decided that our 40th anniversary was a good reason to try it. We did not regret the decision! The service and food were exceptional, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the littlest of details. The mere fact that they have Guinness beer on tap puts this restaurant in the top tier in my opinion. Then there's the bread - OMG it was so unique and so good! A duck fat rosemary focaccia bread that was truly something special! For our entrees we ordered the Halibut Rockefeller and the ribeye steak. I say "we ordered" because we're one of those annoying couples who pass our plates back and forth with each other, so you can never say at the end which dish was yours. Both entrees came with the asparagus parmigiana, which I highly recommend as a side dish. The crispy fingerling potatoes are also a must. For dessert we shared a piece of butter cake, which was topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh blackberries. The butter cake was denser than what we're used to but still tasty. The ice cream was so creamy and smooth, it was another surprising treat! All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant you shouldn't wait until your 40th anniversary to go! read more

This is by far my new favorite restaurant in Harrisburg! We have gone twice now and both experiences were unique and absolutely fantastic. Insanely knowledgeable staff, wonderful atmosphere, and the food feels like something you'd order at a bougie restaurant in NYC. A top favorite food item would be the Shoyu Deviled Eggs which I could eat 24 of! Since we've done dinner twice our next visit will be for the brunch which looks heavenly. Please, please, PLEASE check this place out! "Chef curated menu, craft cocktails, broad wine selection, high end spirit options." read more

Our group thoroughly enjoyed dinner & drinks here! The ambiance is ok, but doesn't feel as chic as the menu does. The space still feels warehouse-like and not as warm & inviting as you would like. That being said, the menu is fabulous! Our server was top-notch and very knowledgeable about the cocktails and the specials. Our table shared the fried green tomatoes and the elote potatoes. Both were delicious and each element was perfectly executed. The elote potatoes was the shining star dish of our evening. I ordered the wood grilled salmon as my entree. The salmon was cooked beautifully and the harissa glaze was nice and bright. The couscous and broccolini were wonderful sides to this dish. Everyone was delighted with their food. The cocktails just put this outing over the top! I ordered the violet sky gimlet and was smitten. It was a perfect blend of flavors. I tried my friend's Black Velvet Manhattan and loved that one as well. Benaiah's is just a great all-around place for foodies to enjoy a night out. We will definitely be back! read more

Lovely new restaurant in the area. I've been twice and both times, the service and food were exceptional. Danielle was very knowledgeable and friendly! We were celebrating my husband's birthday. We've been to Benaiahs a few times and always enjoyed our meal. Service has always been on spot. However, need to send a shot out to a few employees. First, Sofia the hostess was incredible. She is sweet, engaging, funny, and wanted to make our experience special. What an incredible young woman. Kudos to you. Our waitres, Tina was wonderful. Even though some of the appetizers we wanted to order were sold out she was apologetic, we picked other appetizers that were delicious and she brought us 2 glasses of champagne for being out of what we originally wanted to order. Ok, Andrew. He is absolutely amazing. His customer service is outstanding and honestly the best I've experienced. We've been to Benaiahs a number of times but I wouldn't say we're regulars and he remembers us and always comes to our table to make sure everything is going well. Not only that, he is engaging and authenticate. What a wonderful person he is. read more

This was our second night in a row (!) at Benaiah's. Tonight, we did a bunch of appetizers, the Italian chopped salad (on recommendation from Hailey, our outstanding server), drinks and a shared dessert. Everything was great. Those fried green tomatoes were better than we remembered from last night. Again, we say this culinary team doesn't have an off night. Really amazing food even when you're just sharing appetizers. We had a great table with a window view. Two nights in a row, two nights that they could not miss. Well-done again. Can't believe we waited this long to try it. Don't make our mistake and get there soon. read more

The food, drinks and wait staff are great. I love this unassuming place with its unique menu.

For all of the hype this restaurant has received, I'm not really sure it has lived up to it. I found Benaiahs through social media and decided to check it out with my fiancée for a date night. Based on photos, pricing, and social media advertising, we thought it would be a more upscale restaurant with a chic/fine dining type atmosphere. The food was okay, but the atmosphere was entirely lacking and a major disappointment. While the food may be considered, by some, to be fine dining, the atmosphere is more like a brewery with stark lighting, little to no sound insulation, basic tables, and a garage door. It was extremely loud, far more casual than we expected (yes - you could wear your sweats), and in no way romantic or upscale. If you frequent locally owned restaurants that source close to home and serve farm-to-table style dishes, there is nothing special here. If you normally frequent chain restaurants and want something nicer, don't mind a brewery-type setting, and/or don't mind spending exorbitant amounts of money for small "fancy" dishes, then this is probably the place for you! Service was okay and our drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all served quickly. In summary, come here if you are looking for something nicer than a chain restaurant on the East shore and you have plenty of money to spend, but you're also not that hungry. Don't come here if you are looking for an upscale, romantic date night with fantastic food to boot. Unfortunately, Benaiahs just didn't hit the mark. read more

Food was average. Service was good. Ambiance was like dining in a warehouse. Pics on website make it look like fine dining room but is not.

I had stumbled across this restaurant on yelp. Had never heard of it so we gave it a try. Restaurant was empty when we went but it was day after Christmas. The service was amazing. Our waitress Cheyenne was wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was great. We started with the elote potatoes which had wonderful flavor. I had the crab fettuccine and my husband had the ribeye. The pasta was great with just a kick of spice. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. Craft cocktails were great. I recommend the King of Mules. I would highly recommend this place! read more
