Intimate. Eclectic. Tasty. All the traits of a fantastic eve of noms! Though I feel drinks are on the pricy side, they are crafted very well. As an added bonus, they can be infused with CBD at your request (for more $) You really can't go wrong with any of the tapas. And if you are in the mood for something hearty, they have a specialty large meat entree. Thursday's is a great day to visit, with cheap tacos and sangria. Free valet parking is provided. Definitely a great date spot!

A comfortable second floor location for tapas and very nice cocktails. Samantha is a delightful bartender and server tending to your libation and small plate needs. Everyone else sitting near me ordered tacos. They looked nice and tasty. I regret that I did not order tacos. I did find my $5 fried artichoke small plate very beautifully plated--and delicious. I would not order the duck torta again. Torta too crunchy. Not enough duck. In contrast, the tacos were all two to a plate and looked good. I work and can rarely get to a 5-7 happy hour deal. That is too bad for me--for the happy hour tacos are half price. Want to return here with friends.

We heard good things about Suba but never seemed to find the time to get there. We finally had some time and we certainly weren't disappointed. The food and drinks were fantastic. I'm sure we'll be back.

This is the upstairs bar/restaurant above Mangia Qui. It is a tapas style bar so small plates are meant to be ordered and shared amongst the table. They have a great bar list with craft cocktails, in house sangria, beers and wine. The Caipirinhas are legit! I really like the Charcuteria! It is a varying tasting of meat and cheeses. The Atun is also really great, seared Tuna done right! The empanadas were ok, the beef filling was lacking some seasoning, maybe the batch was a little off I would order them again just to try. The Gambas al Ajillo are a definite must try. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. I love Mangia Qui so we will definitely be back to give Suba another try!

3.5/5 upped to 4 based on prior experiences. Attended the Paella on the Patio event Friday evening. Paella was cooked outside and served with specialty drinks and music out on the sidewalk. The event was enjoyable (and very popular); however, the paella was served cold (typically should be served nicely warm). It was easy to see the paella being plated from the large pan and watch it sit on a table for upwards of 5 minutes before it was served. Unsure if the pan had a heat source still or not, but the rice/seafood (minus the lobster tail) were cold to the touch - which was a bummer because the rest of the event was nicely done.

Came here for their happy hour per a recommendation by someone at rubicon. Sadly when i came suba was closed for an event so I ate at mangia qui instead for the suba tacos. Make note they're half off tacos until 7. Tacos were more spaniard flavors than Hispanic by the way. We got the all 4 tacos- taco 47 (chicken), suba tacos (grilled fish), el ranchero, and el pastor. Taco 47 definitely was the best out of the three. The combination for flavors and freshness was delicious. The chicken was well marinaded and moist. The suba tacos which they're known for was good as well. My cousin and I had a hard time comparing these tacos to any tacos we've had before because well...they're not Mexican tacos...the mango salsa was delicious and the fish is grilled perfectly. The el ranchero and el pastor were okay. We also got another tapas - the pollo frito and it was deliciously crispy and melted in your mouth. Tapas are well priced with plenty of options

Hip vibe in the bar. Love the lighting and exposed brick.

Then you open the menu and realize there is a surprisingly large Hawaiian themed food selection. It is not really a restaurant, though. It feels like a bar first, with a better than expected food program, not the other way around. The bar service was excellent. I ordered a Sazerac, and they served it with the absinthe on the side so you can add it to taste. That is a small detail, but it shows care and attention, and it made for a great drink. Service overall was friendly and prompt. Even though it is clearly a bar, it is also calm enough during certain hours that you could do some work or have a low key meeting. I would not try that during peak drinking hours. I am not sure of the exact hours, but it seems like more of a late day or evening spot than a lunch stop. If you are in the area and want a solid cocktail and a snack, High Dive is an easy pick.

The moment I realized there was nowhere to park in Harrisburg's awesome Midtown area, I knew I was in for a good time. That kind of energy usually means a place is worth the stop. From the old‑school neon sign outside to the throwback décor inside, the whole place felt like a blast from the past, almost like a little slice of Brooklyn tucked into Harrisburg. The crowd was lively but not overwhelming, with plenty of seating and someone ready to greet you right away. I was told that during the week there's usually no wait at all, which is a huge bonus. I asked the bartender to surprise me with a drink, and he delivered a gorgeous gin Frenchie with perfectly balanced foam and flavor. It was honestly one of the highlights of my visit. This spot is a true hidden gem and now holds a special place in my heart. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great drinks, great vibes, and a throw back atmosphere.

The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The bartenders really know their craft, and the alcohol selection, including local beers, is solid. My only real issue is brunch. Every time I've visited after 12 p.m. (brunch is served until 2 p.m.), there's been a problem--either they're no longer taking food orders, the kitchen is backed up with a 45-minute wait, or they've simply run out of food. It comes off unprofessional and could definitely be handled better. I've noticed this becoming a growing trend during brunch service in general, and while some people suggest arriving as early as 10 a.m. for the best experience, consistency matters. If you're offering brunch, you should be properly staffed and prepared to serve guests throughout the full service window. Period. It's especially frustrating when you've traveled specifically to experience their culinary offerings and hit a wall like that. Overall, if you're looking for a spot that feels like a New York-style dive bar with elevated drinks and solid food--if you catch it at the right time--this place delivers. Just plan strategically if brunch is your goal.

    Men In The Kitchen

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. You have to do it online, via text, and it won't allow you to purchase any time less than an hour. Kinda sucks for those carrying out. Totally not the restaurant's fault though. I got the jerk quesadilla without the jerk ranch sauce. They don't serve this or their regular quesadilla with salsa or pica de gallo so it does taste a little bland. The jerk flavor isn't coming thru for me. It's a little disappointing but it's also just a quesadilla so I don't expect much. I'm not deterred though. I'd be interested in trying more on the menu. It seemed like a cozy place to sit and eat. I'd also like to eat there on my next visit. I'll update my review when I do.

We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Cleared out, yes, poppin', no. Basically, I will return again only if: I'm too drunk to remember why I shouldn't go here or if I have a date I want to dance with alone on the dance floor. After giving the bouncer the weekly password (this can be found on their facebook /knock.hbg, twitter @knock_hbg, or instagram @knock_hbg), we went up a flight of stairs and entered the Beauty Parlor. The Beauty Parlor was set up perfectly, and after giving the password one more time, the bookshelf vanished to the side.... and TA DA! We entered the Speakeasy, a whole new world. The music was pumping, the drinks were flowing, people were dancing, the lights were low, and we were in for a good time. The entire bar/ club has a Prohibition-era style fashion with dark hardwood floors, lots of purple, and chandeliers. The bar was located all the way to the back, which is also where the exit is. There is a dance floor in the middle, and centered is a DJ. There are a few seating areas in addition to the VIP sections. I think there was a total of 3 VIP sections which ran about $250 + per a night. The drinks were fruity and presented well- I wish I could comment on the price, but I really can't recall.
