    Probably one of the best meals I've ever had! This review is a little delayed but I ordered the Country Chicken, my dining partner orders a pasta dish with sausage, and we split egg rolls (pepperoni pizza and cheeseburger), coffee milk, and strawberry shortcake. The fried chicken is so good, I could eat it every day; maybe my favorite vegan fried chicken I've ever had. The garlic mashed potatoes are also so tasty, as was the gravy, and the cornbread is moist and delicious. Butter on the cornbread was great. My non-vegan dining partner raved about the eggrolls (I also thought they were great, but a bit meaty for me). So sad I didn't find this place sooner because I can't wait to come back! Cute on the inside too with lots of plants and great music playing. Great service.

    5 stars all day every day!! Vegan supreme. From the moment you order online or walk in, they treat you with the utmost of care. The space is small, but handled with excellence. The food...fuggedaboutit!! Represent on Fed Hill. A vegan spot that offers a filet, OK! Their chicken tendies are unreal. Wait for it, the cornbread and maple butter!! Unstoppable!!! This fam is hitting home runs

    Enjoyed every bite of my Italian Grinder!!! I haven't eaten meat in almost 7 years, and getting to have an Italian sub this good is drawing me right back to Pianta. The staff was so friendly, I can't wait to go back and hang with the bartender and the cook. I would love to see orange wine on the menu! I think a darker ambiance would also draw people in, especially at night. But overall amazing experience, can't wait to return.

    Ordered the following to go: - Lavender lemonade $6 - Refreshing, but a really small cup and didn't taste any lavender. Mostly tasted lemonade and a little bit of sweetness. - Wild Mushroom Risotto (GF, SF) $21 - Delicious! They definitely gave a lot of mushrooms! Well seasoned. - Crispy Brussel Sprouts (GF, SF) $9 - The maple siracha glaze was so delicious! It tastes like the honey walnut shrimp glaze from the Chinese restaurants. Thought this was a creative combination and think it would be great to try to make at home! Haha - Shawarma Plate (GFO) $28 - you could have fooled me into thinking this is real chicken! Well seasoned chicken and the loved the beetroot & lemon hummus. The cucumber tomato salad was also delicious. Think it was with an Italian vinaigrette? From a non vegetarian/vegan perspective, this place was amazing! Loved the food! The server was nice and let us know that it was going to be 40 minute wait for the food. Lots of seating inside and they also offer outdoor seating.

    Staff is always friendly. Menu is often changing with the seasons so I often get to try something new. I was lucky enough the grab the griddle cake sandwich and it was so good! Only eaten outside and had take-out but the inside always looks neat and tidy.

    This is a lovely little spot on Atwells Avenue. I appreciate that their menu is labeled clearly with gluten-free, nut free and soy free options. I ordered an artichoke gnocchi and it was disappointed because the sauce was very vinegary- more like a salad dressing than a sauce. My general impression was that the restaurant is still getting its footing and will absolutely improve over time.

    This was the best dinner I've had since going vegan five years ago. We started with the Elote and it was fantastic. I had the country chicken plate and it's a customer favorite for a reason!! The mashed potatoes themselves made the dinner worth the price. My partner had the seafood platter (part of the 2023 vegan chef challenge) and really enjoyed it. Our server, Daysia (sorry if I misspelled your name!) answered all of our questions and was helpful when we couldn't decide what to get. Every part of this experience was fantastic. I wish we could take this restaurant back with us from this trip.

    The food was delicious! We tried the Brussels Sprouts, Mexican street corn flatbread, penne alla vodka, and country chicken. Each bite was better than the last. The cornbread and butter that it came with were out of this world! We can't wait to try the garlic bread next time. We also got espresso martinis that were the best we've ever had. Our server helped us decide between a few dishes and definitely didn't lead us astray, she was fantastic. The location is perfect, right on federal hill. The inside was so cute with all of the plants and the bar was stunning. Can't wait to go back!

The staff at Sapphire (Melissa, Marc, & Shiv), as well as the guest bartender (Vannaluck), went above & beyond to make the experience interactive & memorable. We were greeted immediately with a French 75 made with cognac - Did you know that the original French 75 called for cognac, as well as many other classic cocktails? No? Neither did I. The welcome aperitif was a great lil' treat to kick the night off with. We were given a mini charcuterie selection to keep us busy until the main event, which began about 20 minutes after we arrived. Vannaluck talked us through the history & characteristics of cognac. We were given 3 small pours of different cognacs to taste as well as a serendipitous, bonus mini pour at the end. Throughout the night, the kitchen sent out a variety of tapas that UTILIZED COGNAC. Cognac glaze, reduction, brine, etc. Fascinating! I went in knowing next to nothing about cognac & left with a decent understanding of the spirit. I've always wanted to do something like this, & Sapphire made it extremely accessible.     I had a last minute invite this morning to join a friend's reservation. I have heard great things…read moreabout this place but hadn't had the opportunity to visit yet. So it was an easy yes, to say the least! When I arrived, I walked around the corner to the entrance on Rochambeau. The waiting area inside is bright, colorful, decorated with some personal tokens, assorted cookbooks and accolades. You can just see into the kitchen and suddenly the chef and owner, Milena Pagán will appear over the cafe style doors to greet you and get you checked in for your reservation. Highly recommend a reservation if you plan to come on the weekend. The place was busy! We were taken to our spots at the bar and greeted by Milena's partner, Darcy. He took care of us from start to finish. I could not resist the brunch prie fixe menu for $45. What a steal. An entree, house made pastry, juice/coffee/tea and one of the house cocktails. I chose the shakshouka, a cardamom knot, the guava-pineapple fizz and the rebujito. I also added an iced horchata latte because I was at brunch after all! We had our drinks and pastries in front of us quickly. My juice was refreshing, tangy and just a hint of sweetness. I love guava and this was exactly what I wanted. The latte was simple but effective, hitting the spiced notes you want from horchata with the depth of good espresso to back it up. The latte in particular was delicious with the cardamom knot, the two harmonizing together for a moment of heaven on this rainy Sunday afternoon. The outside of the knot was caramelized in spots adding this great crunch and the inside was soft like a cinnamon bun. My friend mentioned it was one of her favorites and I can see why! When the shakshouka came out, the smell hit me first. Warm tomatoes, the herbs from the chimichurri, and the tostones fresh from the pan. The presentation is beautiful, inviting you to dig in immediately. I of course opted for the smashed avocado upgrade and they thoughtfully plated it on the side. I like to taste everyone together so I added it to my skillet, and began eating the dish using my tostones as my utensil. It was amazing. All those smells I mentioned before played through beautifully in the tasting. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My only wish was for more tostones but I know if I had asked for an additional side, they had that as an option to take. I'll make sure to do that next time! The rebujito cocktail was something I hadn't tried before so I was looking forward to it. It felt like the kind of drink you have on a hot summer day. Similar to a mojito, but with good sherry as the base alcohol instead of rum. As a side note, I think it's an incredibly clever to create a cocktail menu around sherry when you have a beer and wine license. Using a fortified wine? Brilliant. But after my experience here today, I know that brilliance is in every brick of that space. If you were like me and haven't made the trip to this spot on the corner of Hope and Rochambeau, please fix that ASAP! I can't wait to go back, and bring all my friends and family here so they can share in what I enjoyed today. Just an incredible meal and service.
