Venda is great. Most recently came in for RI Food Fights best iced coffee. The coffee is good and Carina waited on us, she was hysterical. My friend added a whipped tiramisu topping to her coffee and it looked great! I also love coming here and getting a bunch of fresh pasta for my parents to try. I almost bought myself potato gnocchi today, but saw it was made with ricotta. Next time I'll stay longer and find some food for me! The bread looked and smelled amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had to place an order to go for a hosting event this week. The people at the deli counter are so helpful and gave me great advice on ideas of what to serve and how to serve it. I ordered a tray of meatballs and an order of the veal with red sauce and peppers. They were both delicious and all of my guests were so pleased. This place is always wonderful and I am looking forward to going back.

Well my wife and I and a few of our friends went here on a double date on 5/30/2026. We shared a honey hot pizza, some bread and I had a ravioli dish with shrimp, in vodka sauce, with if I remember correctly some lobster stuffing . Bread was about a 6/10 , nothing to write home about . Honey hot pizza was a 7/10 good , but not great . My pasta dish was definitely an 8.4/10, I do remember really enjoying it . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only issue was where they seated us , I preferred the seating in the nicer dining area , but they stuffed us in the deli like some loose salami's , didn't like that at all and one bit ...yes I had a reservation[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . The 4 star is for the food and service. I just didn't like my deli seating. Whatevs! Will I go back, probably not ,was it good ?? It sure was. I can't rank my wife and friend's food I didn't taste it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Venda Ravioli is a classic Italian Market and Deli in the Federal Hill section of Providence.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It says something that for over 15 years, whenever I visit Providence, I try to fit Venda Ravioli into my plans. They have a large case with ready to eat pasta, meatballs, cutlets, sides, etc. The pasta and cutlets are better than what you get at most similar markets. They make sandwiches. They sell specialty products like Olive Oil and vinegars. They sell a variety of ravioli and sauces to make at home. They have fresh bread. Venda Ravioli is a classic spot that has thrived for generations. Places like Venda Ravioli should be celebrated. 5 Stars

Stopped in here for a quick lunch on a time crunch. It's awesome at Venda because you can make your own plate from the prepared foods and they will warm it for you. The woman who helped me out today cut the big meatball in half which I appreciated. Pictured: chicken saltimbocca, eggplant involtini with spinach, colossal meatball, broccoli rabe, & complementary rolls. So yummy.

So after being disappointed by another place that was closed that sparked my interest to head over to the Hill (Federal Hill)! I walked up and down the street to see what was open and then it hit me. My Grandfather use to take me here on the weekends when I was a kid so I had to head over there and take a walk around and get a sandwich and see what else they had to offer. On to the review! I walked in the store and was greeted with smiles and I walked around and was offered if I needed help with anything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just walked around for 10 minutes to just soak up all the stuff they had which is like everything![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ended up settling with an Italian Grinder and some Tarrone Italian dessert thing that that my Grandfather loved getting for Christmas time. Itlian Grinder - I have to say the grinder was pretty good ! It had a pretty good meat to veggies to bread ratio! The bread had a crunchy crust but soft on the inside. Tarrone - Just as I remembered from back in the day soft sweet and filled with nuts, O did that bring up memories of being a kid and hanging out with Grandad! Over all, I really enjoyed my time there and enjoyed sitting down eating my sandwich and having some great small talk with a wonderful employee that walked at the register. I didn't get her name but she was a sweet person! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very clean and had a great vibe to it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Keep it up over there Venda! I will be visiting again soon!

Brought in by RI Food Fights and I was surprised by the size of these sandwiches. Absolutely huge. That said, so much bread. It's practically a whole loaf. Sadly, it drowned out the flavor of the honey balsamic chicken which I subbed grilled chicken for instead of breaded. The chicken with, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, honey balsamic, lettuce & roasted red peppers sounded really good. I left feeling pretty satisfied, though. Regularly a $15 sandwich, this is a great value. It was also quick counter service style, [[HIGHLIGHT]]you could eat in and enjoy the old school deli feel[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] or just do take-out since it's all packaged up ready for you to go.

The stuffed quahog is homemade and freshly made and they are not stingy with the quahogs also they are priced very reasonable. The snails are not thinly sliced at all. They don't give you all juice like most places do. If you like snail salad I recommend giving this place a try you will not be disappointed. The food is already prepared you can take it home to cook it or they will heat it up for you to eat it here. Everyone behind the counter has a particular section of food they provide service to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can eat inside or go outside and enjoy the Federal Hill ambiance and view the waterfall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a great spot to get all your Italian needs satisfied! I have been here on numerous occasions and find something new each time. Fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, sauces, pasta, bread and everything and anything in between. Everyone there is super helpful and always willing to answer questions. My personal list of favorites include: Sausages, there Sunday gravy package and a wide variety of raviolis to satisfy your needs! Swing on by and buy and buy!

Stopped into the shop to pickup some deli items to go (meatballs, caponata, and ravioli - pumpkin, crab, lobster). All items were fresh tasting and delicious. With my store items secured before they closed, we wandered to the Venda dining area across the courtyard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a solo musician to entertain the patios/courtyard diners.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We opted for a table in the bar, near the wide-open windows overlooking the sidewalk. What a great place to people-watch and see some of the showy cars roll up for valet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The host and server were kind, obliging, and helpful. We enjoyed (okay, devoured!) the Stracciatella and Prosciutto appetizer: fried dough with a creamy cheese (mozzarella curds/shreds/cream) and thinly sliced cured ham. I'm not sure there could be a more perfect appetizer! We had time only for the one dish, but it was perfection! Food: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5

on this very rainy monday, decided instead of having to get dressed up and eat on fed hill that we would buy some ravioli and sides from here and stay in. amazing idea because their in-house made pastas are actually the best. we got the pumpkin ravioli for $8 a dozen. crab ravioli for about $12 a dozen and lobster ravioli for about $18 a dozen. eating 9 pieces of varied ravioli each making it plenty for 4 people, for a total of $38 is wild. the staff inside were super helpful about pairings and cooking instructions. and i always love walking through this market and perusing their selections. loved the marinated mushrooms and pitted olives too. will do this again many times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]totally had gelato first before dinner while in the shop and enjoyed the beautiful ceiling and other store decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My family wanted to stock up on fresh pasta before the recent snowstorm, and after I had purchased their fresh pasta during the Newport summer Farmers' Markets, we decided to take a trip to Tiverton and check out the brick n' mortar. It's a small space, but the quality of the product is unmatched. We went on Thursday and we were the only people in the store. When we walked in, there was a table that said bread, but there was no bread available. There was one cooler that had frozen raviolis and then another cooler that had fresh pastas in addition to fresh ready bake meals like chicken, veal parmesan and meatballs. I bought the spicy rigatoni, which was fresh and frozen prosciutto and cheese ravioli as they were not any fresh ravioli. The price I paid was pretty reasonable and comparable to the other store that I go to. My friend bought six meatballs, which were made of pork, beef, and veal with one package of frozen prosciutto raviolis. Her total came to about $30. I was so excited to try the prosciutto raviolis. Tonight, we followed the directions, even though we've made raviolis many times, but the raviolis split apart and the ones that didn't stuck together. There were 10 raviolis in the package I bought. They were very filling, I ended up eating about four of them, but didn't like the flavor. They were very smoky and tasted like bacon not prosciutto. I did like that they had an Narragansett Creamery ricotta in them though. Overall, I was disappointed with the taste and the quality of the raviolis. I'm glad that they have very good ratings and people like them because I always want to see a small local business succeed. The taste and consistency just wasn't for me. I'll stick with my other place as a ravioli are fresh and I've never had one thing from them that wasn't a 10.

Saint Martha exudes an old-world, Euro-Chic charm that immediately wraps you in a cozy, comfortable feeling. The details, from the original pressed-tin ceiling to the quaint glass/wood wall separating the kitchen, all add to the ambiance. We started with a complex Black Onion Garlic dip with house-made potato chips. Straight away, this puts everyone in a good mood. Our appetizers consisted of Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Lamb and Beef Meatballs, and Citrus & Radicchio Salad (party of 4). All were expertly crafted, creative, and delicious. Of special note, the sauce served with the meatballs was "finger-lickin good". For entrees, we ordered White Lamb Ragu, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Nettie & Ramp Pesto Fettucini. Each dish was beautifully presented and generated a lot of excitement at the table. The roasted lamb, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, was succulent. The house-made, melt-in-your mouth pappardelle pasta served with a ragu sauce put me in the zone. For dessert, we enjoyed 2 servings of a Frangipane buckwheat tart with Almond ice cream. This unusual creation was a homerun. A 32-ounce French Press was enjoyed by all. It's not easy to produce such a meal. We went to the front and ordered the butternut squash ravioli in butter sauce and their lobster roll special. Food came out in a reasonable timeframe, we perused the oils and vinegars while we waited. The lobster roll was a flop. Dry lobster on top of lettuce barely warmed on a non toasted hot dog bun. It's a ravioli shop, so I didn't have high expectations, but figured they have worked with lobster before so I had higher hopes The ravioli we got were also a pretty big flop. Raw uncooked pasta in broken butter sauce and no seasoning. The butternut squash filling was puréed to heck and reminded me of frozen butternut squash sides you buy from the grocery store. Not bad, but lacking. The fries and onion rings were good. Bagged but good quality, the highlight of our meal. The staff were friendly, and the space was small but cozy.
