I'm going to give this place 5 stars, while the meatball sandwich I had was good, but not the best I've had! It could be because I swear my mom makes the best meatballs, and just none hold up to it. The chicken sandwiches looked AMAZING! I got meatball because it was a choice for best sandwich, and it was good. I def will be back for a chicken sandwich and some of the amazing rainbow cookies and some gelato next time. The shop itself is cute. There is a decent amount of seating even though I feel like many people grab and go. They have a lot of classic choices and they really take pride in what they are offering. Had the Vittoria's Favorite Focaccia--a chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, and basil pesto on their house-made focaccia. The bread was the highlight. Perfectly soft while also having a nice crisp exterior. The pesto was generously applied, and the texture and temperature contrast in the cold mozzarella and warm chicken cutlet was great. Staff were very friendly, answering questions from customers about pizza slices and pastries. I've also had their gelato, and it was lovely. While the sandwich was a bit pricy at $18, the serving size was generous and I think you could easily make each half into its own meal. read more

We just finished dinner at Pasquale's across the street, so dessert was of course the next thing to do. Especially since they are related. We walked across the street and walked right in. It's a smaller store but has a lot to offer. They have various Italian items and Gelato. You can get a few meals, cheeses, meats, desserts, pastries, grocery items and much more. I could have looked at items for a while if I had the time. We opted for some gelato. Gosh, it was so good! So light! There were about 10-12 different flavors when we visited. They were nicely packed in. We all got different flavors so it was nice to try each others. They were all so good. Gelato just hits different. The staff were kind, and helpful. They managed to help everyone and get them through the line with ease. Owned by the same folks who own Pasquale's jut accross the way in South County Commons, Neapolis brings a delicious concept to the area. Fresh, fast, ready-made Italian pizza by the slide (roman style), and various types of sandwiches made to order. I believe the slice certain meats themselves in house, which just adds to the freshness. Some of the breads are also made in house and the sandwich I had was the Classico. It was made with DOP Buffalo mozzarella, Parma Prosciutto, olives and EVOO on house made bread. It was so delicious I didn't even snap a picture - my bad. I ordered a few roman style slices, one with peperoni, one with spinach and a few other veggies, and the one pictured - prosciutto, arugula and burrata. They were all delicious and the prosciutto is amazing quality. You can ask to have your pizza or sandwich heated. There are a few dine in tables and some imported foods straight from various parts of Italy. They also offer gelato, which I unfortunately was unable to try that day, but it looked so good. The service was fast and friendly, and the staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the food the make. My only complaint is that this establishment is 40 minutes from my house which means I can't patronize it as much as I want. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, and even if you're not, you should make an effort to stop by! It's also great to bring over to the local brewery in South County Commons - Tower Hill - for some seriously delicious eats while enjoying the beer over there. What a great find. This shop is amazing from fresh pasta, pre made meals, deli meats to Italian products. I could go on and on. The service was great, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming.The caprese pasta salad so good. Eggplant parm delicious. Tiramisu was labeled the best my friend has had in years. Marinaded olives were delicious and did not last long. The butternut squash soup so thick and tasty. Will be returning soon to try more of the many options. read more

Discovered this place a few months ago my son and I walked in here after eating pizza across the street and we absolutely love the gelato and now that it's colder my husband and I love the authentic tasting cappuccino's taste just like the ones we used to have at the Sicilian bars. Neapolis is a small Italian grocery with pizza by the slice and gelato. They do have a small counter seating area inside if you wish to eat your pizza or gelato in-house. There is one public bench just outside their door as well. The store offers many pre-made food items to go such as lasagna, eggplant parm, soups and more. They also sell the raw ingredients you may need for cooking such as olive oil, boxed pasta, flour to make pasta, canned tomato, etc. The staff were super friendly and helpful. In reply to my inquiry, I was told they make the pasta in their pre-made meals. I definitely need to get me some of those. This visit we bought flour to make pasta, olive oil and gelato. That coffee gelato is molto bene! Wow did I enjoy that. And the price on the olive oil was good. Definitely plan to return. Check it out. read more

Grabbed a quick pizza slice early afternoon and it was okay. The dough tasted stale, but the ingredients were more fresh. $5 was the cost for a slice that wasn't too big. The slice I bought had prosciutto and broccoli rabe on it and they were actually generous with the amount of meat. On the pricey side for a slice like this and I noticed everything else in there was expensive too. I won't give it 3 stars because the place to get pizza is right across the street at Pasquale's and they probably have better gelato and other products. read more

We are not locals, but during a recent visit to Rhode Island for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding, we stumbled upon Neapolis and it turned our to be one of the highlights of our trip. We stopped for bite to eat and we were absolutely blown away by our lunch, but the real magic happened when we spotted the sfogliatelle. It happens to be a beloved treat in our family. We asked if they could prepare a platter for our wedding celebration and they did. They were the best sfogliatelle we have tasted. They were flaky delicate and fabulous. We are so grateful to Neapolis for adding such a special touch to our celebration. If your anywhere near the are, do yourself a favor and stop in - you will be glad you did!!! read more

Stopped by for lunch dying to check this place out because we love Pasquale's. Ordered a meatball grinder (made to order) & chicken parm from the grab & go cooler. The chicken parm was good but pretty overpriced for what it was. Not worth driving back for but this was the best part of our visit. The meatball grinder was so disappointing. It had 4 tiny meatballs in the whole sandwich with next to no cheese or sauce and was 90% bread. For the price this was a huge rip off. My husband opened it and laughed out loud at how crazy it looked. The taste was as mediocre a it looked, dry and needed salt along with a handful of other things to save it. Small and quaint shop with a small, but varied selection of imported Italian shelf stable items as well as some frozen and prepared foods. They also have some pastry in the case from cakes to cannoli. Not a huge selection but enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. The main draw is the gelato served out of the front case. Interesting flavors, like pistachio and banana bread plus the standards of chocolate and dolce de leche. Quaint spot if you're strolling through to grab gelato, but I wasn't impressed by the market though I recognize that they are making an effort. What an unbelievable find! This truly authentic imported Italian restaurant and store is out of this world. We were visiting recently and at Tower Hill Brewing , which is right next-door and used the QR codes on the table to order the dry rubbed wings. Within a few minutes, they arrived fresh and hot right at our table in the brewery from the Neapolis team. it truly was like sitting in a restaurant!. We enjoyed the brewery and the great beers there while eating the wings. After we left the brewery, we went over to the store and bought some goodies to go. If you haven't tried this restaurant you're missing out! We thoroughly enjoyed two local and amazing establishments in Neapolis and Tower Hill Brewing. What a fun time. read more

Our new go-to gourmet foods shop! Adamo is terrific - knowledgeable, intelligent, and very serious when it comes to food and food quality. And his passion for gelato and sorbets shows through with his experiments in new flavors and willingness to give you a taste. The baked goods are excellent - great desserts, some of the best macarons we've ever had for flavor and texture, cannolis, tiramisu, eclairs, babas - goodness, I've gained 5 pounds just writing this sentence. Our hats off to their baker Amy! Though they don't bake bread on the premises, Amado "imports" his Italian loaves from a Bronx bakery - and dang, he's right, you can taste a difference (maybe it's the water?) and the crust had a terrific chew. There's also a salumi counter and a good selection of formaggi, as well as prepared foods. What really tickled us pink was that my wife had been looking for squid ink to make squid ink pasta, risotto, etc., and every gourmet shop and food emporium we visited didn't carry it (for retail at least). Until Neapolis - we asked, Adamo paused, told us to wait a bit, and came back with a jar of imported cuttlefish ink. Whoa. He the man! read more

The person who waited on us was nice/friendly. However, expect sticker shock (or non-sticker as many items didn't have prices) when you checkout. The total was almost $80 for 9 items, 4 of which I could've bought at HomeGoods or Amazon for 1/2 the price. I didn't realize until I left that I wasn't given an itemized receipt when I paid, just the credit card receipt. Oversight on the employee's part? Don't think so. Here I found bread from Arthur Avenue, the Little Italy of the Bronx, and I also found the best homemade sfogliatelle. There is a large selection of homemade pasta and gelato. I will be back, and I am hopeful that fresh mozzarella and ricotta will be added. If you have the casa di pana from Arthur Avenue, you will want the fresh cheese made by an in-house cheese artisan. I stocked up on a few things today, and I'll be back to buy some of the pasta. The spinach and artichoke pasta looked delicious. read more

I was debating going to another place mid-state but I've always found Pasquale's (it's sister restaurant across the way) to be authentic and consistently top quality. Neopolis did not disappoint. First, Alessia and Simone couldn't have been more cordial and accommodating. Alessia's communication was also timely and helpful. They made great suggestions based on both the number of people and the other types of food I would be serving (I went half Italian, half Portuguese). I ordered: ziti w/chicken and broccoli, eggplant parm, arancini, sausage and rabe, and antipasto (the antipasto was all top shelf meats and cheese). Everything was prepared on time and delicious. You know you hit a home run when the guests from Italy can't stop talking about the food! BRAVI all around - you made it a day to remember.
