There were 4 ladies behind the counter ready to wait on customers, but they took a bit of a while to approach us and ask what we wanted. The food was very salty for my taste and the pork loin was not moist and tender but a bit dry and hard.... The beans were not great either. I don't think we will be frequenting their hot food section anytime soon..

Where else have you ever seen pistachio milk?!), and the Frittata with potato and onion is my favorite for a light brunch moment. Make sure you ask them to heat it up for you! I got a canolli and sfogliatella.. It's the only spot I found in town with Italian treats you can pickup and go. The canolli was really tasty but it was very small and very expensive. The sfogliatella matched the taste and quality of those I had in Napoli, Italy. It was expensive though. The spot has a pleasant sitting area that's functional but not necessarily cute to sit in and relax. Not much to look at inside. Overall a spot to get your Italian fix if you feel like paying the prices. It does have a great selection of cheeses, meats, and Italian goods which admittedly I didn't try. It's a slightly expensive spot even for Newport which is already an expensive town to eat in.

The parking lot is quite spacious, but the plaza only offers paid parking, however you can get your parking validated with purchase at any store in the plaza with proof of parking ticket. The store itself was clean, rather spacious, and well organized with clearly labeled aisles and pricing. I found that you could get many of the staple items at nearby competitors for nearly half the price. I thought they offered unique products in the meals to go section for a reasonable price point. I would recommend the mini snackle boxes and raw pressed juices. Those could actually be useful for a nearby beach trip and I liked that they use glass jars. The woman running the cafe section of the store was very hospitable, but as other Yelpers have mentioned some of the other store associates were less than enthused. I kind of get it though, Newport's upper echelon isn't the easiest clientele to interact with so I would probably get a little stoic over time as well.

But no biggie. Several items on sale throughout the store and not to much out of stock. We picked up breakfast yogurt, berries, milk, cereal, fruit, bread, cheese/sandwich meat, hummus and some baby carrots. Very happy not to have to travel off the island to get groceries for a couple of days.
