The service was fast and accurate. There is plenty of parking. The food was packaged correctly. This is a family style restaurant.

large cheese pizza with green peppers on all and half sausage, half roni

One of my favorite pizzas in Rhode Island... sauce and flavors are on point! No frills, but delicious... love the snail salad, wings and calamari as well! If you have a sweet tooth, the peanut butter explosion is not to be missed! *I have never dined in but looks cute inside...as does the East Providence location ***I usually get some combination of sausage & ricotta and/or pepperoni and extra cheese (give or take onion, mushrooms and green peppers). My only wish would be that this location had pineapple as a topping (don't be mad 'bout it, pineapple allll day)!!!

Back for another great meal at this local gem! We both at veal tonight; me with the veal abruzze and my wife with veal parm. The gravy (sauce) can not be beat! And neither can the service! The food arrives piping hot, and it is made from scratch. If you're looking for a place to eat, Uncle Tony's is only moments route 295, right on route 44.

Johnston, Rhode Island location. We were visiting from North Carolina and decided to give this place a shot. It is what it is: A fairly average place to eat. That being said, the Mozz sticks and pizza were the winners, here. Not bad at all. I also had the eggplant parm sandwich, and it was just ok. Wish the eggplant slices had been a little bit thicker. Service was good, and the folks there were pretty friendly. I think I'd give the place a return visit in the future, but as everyone knows, there are a plethora of Italian restaurants to try out in Johnston and nearby Providence.

This is one of the best hidden gems of the providence area…read more If ever any of you are in the Providence area and you want a really authentic Italian dinner without the price, pretension, and hassle of Federal Hill , but also a restaurant that accommodates families, I highly suggest "Posillipo" off the beaten path on Waterman Ave in North Providence. I've been there twice now and their food is amazing and the ambiance and hospitality are so very rare. You walk in and it feels like being invited to a family dinner. First time I had the Lobster Pescatoré. Was fantastic. Tonight I had their special Rack of Lamb. They asked how I wanted it and delivered perfectly. The chef/owner Luigi is a really friendly older man from Italy. He's the real deal and he runs an amazing restaurant and kitchen. He once told us that he goes to the market at dawn every day to pick out the choicest produce. Everything is made fresh. The Place isn't fancy, but they've made it nice with the space they have. It is a hidden gem. They serve only beer and wine, soda and water. I've only gotten half carafes of Cab. But the chef came out and had shots of homemade limoncello with us before and gave us complimentary Bruschetta. Rumor is they get their bread from Buono Italian Bakery in Providence. I've been there for double dinner dates and dinner with the kids. I highly recommend.

The owner is the sweetest man you will ever meet . This is a hidden gem. Cozy, great music, service was impeccable. Ever since we first walked in the door we said YUP NEW FAVORITE SPOT . We can't get enough - we have been here a few times within the past two months . I get something different each time bc it's my goal to try EVERYTHING haha -- WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! While the space is inviting, I personally feel the televisions take away from the otherwise refined atmosphere and give it more of a neighborhood‑bar feel. Our server, Sarah, was absolutely fantastic. Her service was impeccable, especially considering she was managing both the bar and our table. We started with the Antipasto, which was excellent. My wife ordered the Pollo Limone, and I had the Linguine Shrimp Scampi--both dishes were flavorful and very enjoyable. What stood out most was the décor. The restaurant's setting in a beautifully restored Victorian home creates a charming ambiance and makes it an ideal choice for a date night. Highly recommended for a romantic evening out. We will definitely be returning soon.

We love love love that there is adequate parking here always. Inside was also very cute, feels like you're walking through a home! Very nice decorations and a lot of their awards and signs seen around the house! Their red sauce was so good, highly recommend any of their foods. They let us know that their chef makes batches of the red sauce in house every few days. Also, their portions are HUGE. We took home half of what we ate and it was still great as leftovers!

The host seemed surprised to see us despite being right on time for our reservation but we were seated right away after a quick exchange. Our server Erik came right over with a smile and continued to be a consummate professional throughout the evening. I wish I could have him be my server everywhere I go. We started the night with some seasonal cocktails. The spiced pear old fashioned was to die for. Complete with a solitary large cube and balanced flavors it was delicious. Our table had veal parm, linguine and white clam, and lasagna. Each dish was fresh and executed perfectly. It's a garlic lovers paradise but never overpowering, in a way any Nonna would approve. For dessert we split a slice of limoncello cake. The cake was so light and fluffy it was like eating air. Even the frosting was light enough where it didn't feel like we were stuffing ourselves to finish it. It's a smaller place so it gets busy quickly and can be a little loud. I would highly recommended a reservation as I don't think you'd have much luck getting a table on a weekend. There was a bar area with some seats but it's probably not easy to get a seat there either. As the old adage goes, if a restaurant is full all the time there's a good reason why ;)
