The pizza was good however before I cashed out online I had to pay a service charge to receive my order from Grub Hub. I wrote to George's Pizza asking them what this service charge was for. I was told to it was to help pizza thrive providing necessary marketing tools for new pizza owners. I wasn't happy about it and was told it was something new and I already paid for it before the credit card payment was accepted. I asked her to refund the $1.99 to my card and she said she couldn't do it and assured me it wouldn't happen again. Georges seems to have a good reputation from what I've read and this was the first and last time I order from them. People beware before you place your order to refuse this new service charge. $1.99 may not seem much for some people but with this service charge, the tip, tax and $4.99 delivery fee it cost just about $35.00 for a large pizza. read more

The food. We ordered a thin crust pizza, which was burnt black on the bottom. The buffalo chicken pizza was nothing but hard slices of pizza with Franks hot sauce spilled all over it. It was awful. read more

Ordered for the first time. I've been wanting to order from here but I've gotten so many mixed reviews. So here's mine. I'm disappointed that in order to get delivery you have to go through slice. The charges are just ridiculous for those apps. However it seems to be a place run by a younger couple. So I understand the app delivery service as opposed to hiring another employee. This place is on my route so I was ok with picking up my order. Got 2 pizza's. Forest was the hot weiner pizza. It was put together well and didn't fall apart. It wasn't short on toppings. However, the meat wasn't seasoned like the weiner sauce is. That was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless it was still a good pizza. Very greasy though and I think if they season the meat properly it would be an award winning pizza. Next was the Minnesota pizza. Ordered specifically out of curiosity. Honestly wasn't bad at all. Jalapeños added the perfect kick to the sweetness of pineapple. Not as greasy as the weiner pizza so you know it's the meat on the other one and not the dough or anything. Dough was cooked perfectly and the crust was nice and crunchy. I would order again. But I'm hoping this review catches their attention and they season the weiner meat! One day last yr we had a negative encounter at pizza place nearby and went here ....couple was so sweet, their two kids were there, very comfy first time visit, pizza was great. The two folks working there were friendly and pleasant, especially the woman at the front, who welcomed me and told me a little about the business and their menu. Brought my pizza home, opened it and felt a little disappointed. So thick, and I prefer a thin crust. But guess what? The pizza was really good. Though it looks thick, the dough was different, light, a little flaky and with a nice taste. It wasn't goopy like some "deep dish" pizzas. Been going to Georges for a while, first with original owners and they were the best. Then with Maria and her husband, they were good and the "Greek Flavors" were great. Angela and Ken have recently taken over this take out pizza place are producing a terrible product. We have always liked the Spinach Pies, before buying them was assured by Angela they used the same recipes that the previous owners used. Brought home spinach pies the other night and they were terrible, the amount of filling was small, no garlic taste and lacking spices/seasoning. It was a poor product. The dough was also terrible, it was nothing like the previous products that had been offered under other owners. It seemed as though they were skimping on the dough and filling.. we are very disappointed in what has happened to this take out restaurant. Probably not going back.. read more

Just tried George's tonight after reopening under new ownership. Angela and Kevin have an honest passion for food service and community and it SHOWS in their work! The pizza was great, the homemade dough is delicious, and I am picky with dough! It's just soft enough on the inside with a nice firm crunch on the outside. I had a spinach pie too and it reminded me of a nice hearty mini calzone kind of, definitely dip it in marinara! It's nice and filling otherwise I'd eat the whole pie in one sitting, definitely looking forward to reheating the leftovers thank you! We will be back! read more

Maria is rude. Tried to order a special steak and cheese sandwich. ALREADY confirmed the fillings of the sandwich twice with gentleman and then her for a total of three times. I was just informing I already confirmed everything with gentleman and her response is "this is an off the cuff request" we don't have to take this order! This place has really fallen off recently. Not sure if the owners have clocked out (it has been advertised as 'for sale') but the quality of the food has been terrible the last few times I've been here. A burnt steak and cheese that tasted like somebody dumped a handful of salt on it, the most pathetic attempt at a salad I've ever encountered, a sopping wet oil soaked Italian... Seriously the last two times I've been here I didn't receive one thing that was edible. The irony is I'd heard reviews that their steak and cheese was the best in Warwick yet it was the most memorably bad steak and cheese I've had in a long time. The pizza is still good but so what, if I need to cherry pick your menu to avoid stink bombs, you're not doing a good enough job. It's obvious when zero effort is put into preparing or cooking food and with so many good pizza places nearby like Picasso's, Don's, Crusty's or Shoreline to name a few, I can't see any reason to come back here. I have tried this spot a few times while at my in law's but I have mixed experiences to report. I Love LOVE his spinach pie, absolutely amazing! But the cheese pizza, way to cheesy - I like the crust but I am chewing cheese for 5 minutes after each bite! I like the fact that the people who run the place are old-world greek and the crust is great but less is more- I don't expect a pound of mozzarella on my pie. Place hasnt changed in 30 years the food still tastes the same. I drive down for glocster to eat here and it is always worth the ride. My son thought that subway makes a quality meatball sandwich thanks to his mother so i had to bring him in and intoduce him to the best classic greek grinders around. I personally believe "EH" got it all wrong. I've been to George's 3 times in my life and have lived in Warwick for 2 years, which makes me sad to say it's only been 3 times. But each time I was there I can tell you the staff was amazing especially the woman working the front. Stopped by here over Christmas time.. Moved to NC about eight years ago.. But I try my best to swing by here for a Italian grinder / sub every year. I grew up in the area.. Love the fact that it's family owned and George is a great cook! I used to literally walk to this place as a kid with my girlfriend at the time and we would have a sandwich and a can of soda lol. It's a little friendly Mom and Pop gem of a hole in the wall that doesn't hide behind glints and glam like some of the other pizza joints need to.
