Crispy chicken "alfredo"
Kelly F.

We had 7:45pm reservations and arrived a few min early, were seated a few min early. We waited and waited and waited an hour and 10 minutes for our food. It came out hot and was very good. The sauce is a little sweet. I'd probably opt for pink vodka next time. My only complaint is the cheap cheese they use. I'm Italian and typically use pecorino Romano. It's like sawdust and tastes dry and cheap. It ruins the delicious homemade pasta in my opinion. We got a slice of peanut butter cake as well to split. It was dry AF. Refills are not free btw. Overall just okay this time. The parking was also terrible. We had to park next-door and walk over. Not sure we'll return, too many negatives.

We went here for my birthday with family and it really exceeded my expectations. They have 3 rooms. The left is a bar area, a middle room and the room on the right has larger tables for big parties. They could use a little more decor, but it was still cozy. I had the garden salad with blue cheese, chicken piccatta and spaghetti. The others in our party also had chicken piccatta and gnocchi. The food was excellent as was the service. The server was very attentive and she and a bus girl promptly cleared dirty dishes. They have a parking lot which is ample and I would recommend making a reservation especially on a Saturday night because when we left at about 7pm it was mobbed! Highly recommended! Take it from an Italian who's family was in the restaurant business, the food was perfect. We'll be back!

Veal Parm

My wife and I have been going almost once a week to Pat's for the past 3 years. Simply the best Italian Restaurant for me. Love the sauce and the veal parm is "THE BEST". If I do go to another Italian Restaurant i don't order Veal Parm because I don't want to be disappointed. Brian the bar tender where we typically eat is the best and a clean freak.

Veal Marsala

My mom has been raving about this place for a while now. I went here many years ago and was not a fan at all. However, mom and her friend really enjoy the veal marsala. She talked about how thick it was and how great the quality. So she decided to order us takeout. Veal marsala. Let's just say it's very underwhelming. The meat was so thin and tasted absolutely nothing like veal. The taste was just horrible. The Marsala sauce was lacking in taste as well. I'm personally not ever going to eat here again. Mom will most likely go back, but won't ever get takeout from them again. It was disappointing.

Delicious food. Have to have the homemade pasta, always. Great service. The restaurant is nice and clean inside, great spot all around.

We were seated right away. The food was excellent and the gentleman that waited on us was phenomenal. This was the best experience we have had at pats Italian in years. We felt the dining room was a little dark for our liking but it's probably acceptable ambiance to most other patrons.

This restaurant has been on my bucket list and I was finally able to experience it. The service was great, I had a party of 5 on a very busy Saturday/holiday weekend and they were able to accommodate my family within 5mins of calling. They pulled a table aside and made sure it was set on time, even with a kids cup ready to go. We ordered several apps: Cheesy Garlic Bread, Calamari, and Mozzarella Triangles. The mozzarella triangles were the best out of the 3 apps ordered. The Cheesy Garlic bread could use some more cheese. I also got a chicken soup and Caesar salad on the side. The pasta in the chicken soup was a bit mushy but had good flavor. The Caesar salad dressing wasn't very flavorful, pretty basic but the lettuce was crispy. My family ordered the Christine, Bolognese, and chicken parm with pink vodka. All of the entrees were the shining stars and absolutely delicious. Very big portions! This is a great family style restaurant with plenty of seating. The restaurant was very dark inside but had a cozy feel. Parking was also very easy.

We had a gift card for this restaurant and decided to use it tonight. Wow! We were so impressed with the food. Everything we tried was tasty and the portions were large. They even offer a dinner for 2 for $50 - an app to share, two soups/salads and two entrees - which made our first visit there a great value. Our server was very friendly and made some great reconnections on what to try. We look forward to returning to this wonderful neighborhood spot

"They have the best red sauce" "Have you tried Pat's in Johnston? You'll like it." This is what I had been recently told about Pat's. I do love Italian. When Mother's Day rolled around and my husband asked where do you want to eat- I said Pat's (after Lucky dog only had 8pm reservations.) Large parking lot since the restaurant is in a strip mallesque building. But they fulfill a lot of the 'shops.' We had reservations. No wait needed. Modern decor, large bar. It is a dark facility and runs a little cold I found. The parmesan salad dressing needs a little kick! The chicken parm was a nice size portion. The chicken was cooked well enough to be cripsy but tender (I like that!) But the red sauce was not the best. I like it garlicy and this was more sweet. It was fine. My husband had the crispy chicken alfredo. The Alfredo was missing something... garlic. My husband explained the place is a very safe for all palettes type of place. That makes total sense!

Our whole family can't stop talking about how good everything was. That says a lot. First, the space. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the acoustics are genuinely impressive. My grandfather wears hearing aids and he had zero trouble following conversation all night. That's rare and it meant so much to us. We had a reservation and they sat us early, which immediately set the tone. The bread and bread oil kit they bring out? Do not skip it. Just trust me. We had kids with us and their food came out so fast I actually laughed. Our food followed shortly after and the pasta was truly exceptional. Just genuinely high quality, generous portions, and completely worth every penny. We were shocked at how affordable the bill was for what we got. Our server Envy was an absolute gem. Friendly, attentive, and so kind. But honestly the whole staff was like that. Other servers who weren't even in our section came over just to joke around with our kids. The table was never cluttered. A dirty dish sat in front of us for maybe ten seconds before it was gone. I travel for work domestically and for pleasure domestically and internationally and can say that Bar Lino is the only flawless restaurant experience I have ever had. Flawless from start to finish. We will be back. Bring everyone you love!

The bar area is large with lots of seating both at the bar top and many high top tables nearby. Booth seating is also available in the bar area with tables in a dining room on the opposite side of the restaurant for families. The menu is large and offers apps, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, entrees and dessert. Full bar with beer on tap. Our waiter was very friendly and capable. Everything was very clean. For ambiance, this place has it going on. A basket of focaccia, olives and oil were brought to the table. The bread was very soft and the oil has a nice body. We ordered a 'suppli' appetizer. Suppli is a Roman 'street food': a hand help item, small enough to get two or three as a snack. These suppli are quite large. It's an interesting take on the original and definitely a 'knife and fork' appetizer. Wouldn't repeat order this myself. My dining companion ordered the Carbonara. They bring it to the table with a raw egg on top of the dish which makes a nice 'photo op', but isn't really how the dish would be prepared by Nonna. The guanciale was not cooked 'crisp' and the pasta was cooked soft vs. 'al dente'. The carbonara sauce was tasty. The pizza Margarita was a nice presentation. The sauce is not made with San Marzano tomato so the flavor is not there. The Caesar salad lettuce and dressing were fine. They offer it with a piece of anchovy on top if you like to eat those. It's your choice. The shaved cheese on top did not taste very good at all. I thought it might be my taste buds so I offered a piece to my companion and they confirmed it was 'not good'. They have the ambiance down 100% and the service was very good. Presentation of the food seems to be more important than creating authentic Italian cuisine. It's clearly loved by the locals and I'm sure they won't mind my not returning. Just wanted to let you know; don't expect the 'real deal' from the food. It's American-Italian cuisine so if that is what you are looking for, you will most likely very much enjoy this spot. Bathrooms are gender neutral. Parking is shared with other businesses in the strip mall. Wait to be seated by the hostess.

But there's parking so that's a plus. The location gives very upscale vibes and the decor and ambiance match it. I went a little before Christmas and it was beautiful inside, the decor was top-tier, very dim lit place and very cozy and on the quieter side even with a lot of people. My first experience Kendrick was my waiter, very genuine and kind and attentive. Did an amazing job. Said all the specials word for word no menu- impressive. I got the lobster ravioli special and it was delicious! That day everything was very good even though Kendrick had tons of tables - so stuff took a little bit, but I understand. Now I also came today. I ordered stuffed mushrooms they were very good. And ordered the snowflake mimosa- so cute and very yummy, edible glitter yes please! For my meal I ordered the pasta with clams (forgot the official name), I took all my clams out the shells and put them on my pasta. Took one bite of my clam and tasted sand, gross. Now I know how clams can eat sand but personally I know you have to rinse them and wash them several times to get the sand out. So I chucked it up as a bad clam, bit into another one and same thing, spit it out and was done, that's gross. Lost my appetite and told my server Mia, she apologized and was sweet from beginning to end! The manager on duty I guess came over and apologized and asked if I wanted anything else, told her no. The sand taste isn't pleasant/ so you'll lose your whole appetite. Told them it was okay. They insisted on giving me a menu and seeing if I wanted anything else. I say fine- and grab the stuffed mushroom to go. At this point everyone ate and I wasn't going to order and sit there eating by myself. Bill came, the pasta was removed (as it should I didn't eat it), but they charged for the stuffed mushrooms that they constantly asked if I wanted anything else. I wouldn't had got it if it wasn't gonna be comped- especially after a mouth of sand. Don't see myself coming back not after that sand situation, I'm very careful with seafood.

We started the night with some seasonal cocktails. The spiced pear old fashioned was to die for. Complete with a solitary large cube and balanced flavors it was delicious. Our table had veal parm, linguine and white clam, and lasagna. Each dish was fresh and executed perfectly. It's a garlic lovers paradise but never overpowering, in a way any Nonna would approve. For dessert we split a slice of limoncello cake. The cake was so light and fluffy it was like eating air. Even the frosting was light enough where it didn't feel like we were stuffing ourselves to finish it. It's a smaller place so it gets busy quickly and can be a little loud. I would highly recommended a reservation as I don't think you'd have much luck getting a table on a weekend.
