The gal at the front desk is a literal angel. Every single person who helped me that day was incredible. I went in with a broken finger and they helped me and fixed me up. The wait was not long and the whole process was actually pretty quick. The doctor was so knowledgeable and warm, she helped me feel so at ease and safe. The x-ray tech was so comforting and efficient. The nurse that took my vitals was so sweet and caring. I'm so glad I went in that day. I hope they all had a happy new year! read more

Don't go here for TITERS!! The day of my visit all went well with my blood being draw for my titers... but that was the ONLY positive experience I had with this location. I've been to another location on Clybourn and they were much more professional! The front desk girl at this Bucktown location had a terrible attitude even though I was just calling to ask questions about my titer results. So here's what went down. I paid FULL Price to have ALL MY TITERS checked and they even drew an extra tube of blood to "make sure" it would be enough. Yet the lab had some kind of "processing issue" with the varicella titer. They NEVER called to tell me that. It wasn't until I called to request my results 2.5 weeks later and I ASKED if I had a suffice sample for all my titers to be checked. The person I spoke with told me to come back in for free to redraw blood since it was THEIR MISTAKE. When I called again prior to walking in I mention this, and the RUDE front desk girl says "i dont know what to tell you, we will have to charge you again"... I asked to speak with the manager, she said she'd leave my number and I'd receive a call back and I NEVER did. I have never written an angry review but this place had me livid. I HIGHLY SUGGEST using (Jason Health) a cheap out of pocket alternative where you can get doctors orders, if all you need is bloodwork done and go to Quest diagnostics. I have been here a couple of times since it was acquired by Well Now. It was fine when it was Physicians Immediate Care. It has gone significantly downhill. The last time I was here I fell and was pretty sure I broke a rib. They did a couple of x rays and told me it was just bruised. A few days later the pain was much worse so I went to a Northwestern Immediate Care. When I told the doctor there what kind of x rays I had done at Well Now he said those were chest x rays not rib x rays. It turned out that I did have a broken rib. Nothing can be done for a broken rib but I just wanted to know what was going on. Ridiculous that the PA at Well Now didn't even know the right kind of x rays to determine a broken rib! Against my better judgement I came back with a suspected UTI because it was close to home. It was so dirty. Disgustingly dirty. Not what you want in a medical facility of any kind. We were visiting from out of town when my daughter woke up with an ear infection. We googled the nearest urgent care and this came up. They did not take my insurance and the out of pocket fee was about $165 but honestly, it was worth it. They took amazing care of my daughter and her ear infection and asthma and even gave us suggestions on places to visit in Chicago. The staff was wonderful and caring and efficient. We were in and out in under 40 minutes from start to finish. The NP and her staff did a wonderful job and definitely recommend this location. As a nurse practitioner myself it is sad to say all it takes is one staff member to be unprofessional. Your lab tech I believe was trying to explain why she couldn't process my lab order but her delivery in the explanation was unacceptable. She did calm down after I told her there was no need to speak with the tone she used. Your front desk staff was exceptional and should be an example to others. Here and everywhere else online its they close at 8PM - went by Saturday 5/3 at 6 PM and they were closed, but even the open until 8PM hours are clearly posted on the door. No sign about why closed early. WTF? I use this place a lot as I have a chronic health condition. I have a primary immunodeficiency and sometimes I need antibiotics and can't get in to my specialists fast enough. I explained that I was sick for over 2 weeks and the last 3 days were unbearable and that I have an autoimmune disorder. He did not feel my lymph nodes, he did not attempt to look at my sinuses, he looked in my ears and at my throat and said "nope, nothing." Another medical professional there at the time noticed my facial swelling, but this man looked me up and down and said "you look fine." He said 3 days wasn't long enough to be sick (I reiterated that I was sick longer and the last 3 days were intolerable) and he told me to just get some Flonase and take some decongestants. He said he could give me a delayed antibiotic prescription in the event I was still sick in 5 days. Every time I tried to further describe my situation, he gave me terrible attitude. I tried explaining I have an immunodeficiency and what that entails for me and he got upset. He gave me such attitude over prescribing me ANTIBIOTICS. For a CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITION. This was a physicians assistant making judgements on my healthcare and giving me attitude where I didn't deserve it. He has done this to me before and I have had to go back to eventually get antibiotics from someone else a few days later. I will never be seeing this man again or going back here. Yesterday I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a smile, check in was a breeze and little wait time. Anna the nurse let me just say Above and beyond!!!! she checked my moms blood pressure w/auto machine and it was a little high she went out of her way and rechecked it manually some pple won't do that at all. After a few minutes she even checked back in to see if we needed any water or needed anything before provider came in (I absolutely loved this) the provider Sara was so sweet very knowledgeable & thorough answered all our questions! the clinic smelled so fresh and clean as well! I visited this Physicians Immediate Care location for employment reasons such as for a urinalysis, tuberculosis and influenza (flu) vaccine for my new job. I chose this particular location because it was the closest to my neighborhood on the westside of Chicago, and for possible future visits during or outside of work. I am also very familiar with the Bucktown / Wicker Park area. I have to say that parking at this location is designed more as a neighborhood location; it is about the size for a small number of customers at a time. As for entering the building, I was required to state my purpose for visiting along with my information for confirmation. Once I was cleared, it was requested that I sanitize my hands before opening the clear double door. Nothing flashy about the interior inside; it consisted of chairs, two benches and a flat screen television to keep you comfortable and occupied as you wait to be seen by the physician. A thorough yet mutual process was my experience at this location. Mutual meaning the physician requested me to visually watch what he was doing to account for integrity which was fine by me. All in all, I had a pleasant experience at this Physicians Immediate Care location, but for future visits I plan to set my appointment ahead of time versus walk-in in order to prevent the long wait to be seen by the physician. We walked in at 7:20pm as my partner suspected he tore some ligaments in his shoulder after a cycling accident. Even though the lobby was completely empty, the female employee said they were no longer taking walk-ins. I asked why their website says they are open until 8pm if they stop taking walk-ins well before 8pm but she didn't have an answer. We ended up going to Midwest Express Clinic (River North) and despite walking in 17 mins before closing, they took us in even though they had a busy waiting room. Why is a receptionist offering any treatment or test? This place is just an insurance suck looking to make money. No concern for actual people. Went here for a COVID test - they have certain restrictions as to who can get a test, so make sure you qualify before going. I stayed up til midnight to get an optimal testing spot (the website opens up at 12 am for appointments that day) - you cannot book in advance. I registered online which made paperwork at the office nonexistent and easy. I arrived at 5:15 for my 5:30 appointment, texted them when I was there, and waited outside for them to call me in. They called at 5:26 and asked some questions to make sure I qualified for a test, etc. Then they brought me directly to an exam room where they took vitals and did a nose swab - it was actually much less uncomfortable/deep than other tests I've gotten. They did the rapid PCR test (so cool!) and a doctor came in to give me my results around 6:20. The whole thing took about an hour, which is very reasonable for a PCR test. They will give you paperwork to show if you need a test to travel. Overall I had a really good experience here - there was zero time sitting in common areas with other people, which put me at ease. It's nice that they do a quick PCR test instead of the standard antigen rapid test, since PCR is much more sensitive. Staff was friendly and straightforward. read more

Don't go here to get stitches. Not only will they not numb you correctly so you'll feel every exit wound, but they will not even stitch it right. The wound wasn't even properly cleaned and in less than 24 hours one of my stitches came out because not enough sutures were added. Even while he was stitching, he didn't seem aware of the suture blade and it poked my hand during the process. When I asked if they could look at it the next day without being charged since it was there mistake they said no and the physician interrupted me and didn't even let me explain what happened. All they said was you'd have to come in but they probably wouldn't be able to restitch it. Honestly it was an absolute joke and who knows what else I'll have to pay outside of my copay. On top of all that, i had to go through the entire intake process while my wound was just bleeding, because god forbid the front desk just take my insurance ID card and drivers license and do it themselves. Wow! A girl that I had been passionately copulating with last week texted me that she tested positive for Cootie-19. I didn't have any symptoms, but I didn't want to spread the gift that keeps on giving. Rather than go to one of the excessively ratchet city run test sites, that are currently shut down anyway (yes, for real), I went here. I went online and booked an appointment within 2 hours. These are no doubt professional Cootie-19 testers. They be running this like a military operation, like it was optimized to perfection by a team of Japanese efficiency scientists. I was in and out in 20 minutes with negative results in hand. No waiting 2-5 days from aforementioned ratchet city sites. And it didn't cost me anything since they took my insurance. Just lovely in every aspect. Ohhhh, and did I mention they have a parking lot so you can sit in your heated car when waiting your turn when it's 3 degrees outside? No WAY!!! Went in with a sore throat. Wife two days prior diagnosed with strep (at another facility). They gave her antibiotics, 2000 mg/day. My test also positive, they gave me 1000 mg/day (this facility). She gets better on her medication, I do not. When I call back to see if they will prescribe something different, they claim I have to come in again to get reevaluated. Sorry, no. I'm going someplace that sees me as a patient, not just another way they can bill the insurer for treating the same condition over and over again. read more

People had been really nice and courteous until I asked the provider, well what can I do then (he'd given no suggestions, only ruled out Pneumonia or heart condition) because I felt like it was a waste. He suddenly changed his attitude completely and replied what do you want me to do? You've had this for months... if it gets worse go to the emergency room. Don't bother coming here if you suspect you have the flu. I came in here last week with the classic symptoms: muscle aches and chills came on hard and fast, fever spiked to 101 from normal quickly, headache, cough, the works. Came here the following day and did the nose swab and it came back negative. I said this has happened before but I was still prescribed tamiflu because I had classic symptoms. The doctor said their test is 99.7% accurate and I don't have the flu. The CDC says the nose swab test is 50% to 70% accurate. I was diagnosed with a cold. On my discharge sheet it said to come back if I experienced a headache, chills or muscle aches. All symptoms I had already been experiencing and described. The chills and muscle aches didn't let up and my headache got exponentially worse as my sinuses clogged up. After 8 days with this virus I went to my PCP who said I very likely had the flu. read more

It's not worth it. The wait from walking in the door to being seen was almost 4 hours. Two hours just to move past the lobby. So much for immediate care. My vitals were taken by phone and then I was left there for more than an hour waiting while I'm hacking up the ground burger in the back of my throat. Why do they ask me what I'm hoping to get done? I'm hoping a doctor will tell me if the cough is viral or bacterial. I wanted to know if X-rays should and could be taken. But is that my choice or the doctor's recommendation? Normally, when I leave, I almost always get a text from the pharmacy, which they confirmed with me during vitals, that my script is ready. This time, I got no such text. I called the pharmacy and they couldn't confirm they'd received anything. I call the number on the discharge paper and it doesn't even go to the location. I keep getting the main menu when I only select to ask a question about my prescription. Four times it did that. The fourth time I think someone just gave up on me because the line went to a busy tone, each time I could hear the line pick up, the fumble of a phone, and then the main menu. Frustrating! So I call again, select to talk to a rep, and while on hold I actually make it to the clinic. The provider isn't there today, of course. The provider on duty won't fill it until they've confirmed with yesterday's provider, and they ask me if I want to wait again? Nope. They can call me. They better call me. I will not be coming back to this location, despite its proximity. The wait room had tissue on the table, which no employee seemed to concerned about. read more

However, despite being there prior to the appointment time, we ended up waiting half an hour past the scheduled time. We entered the room with limited time due to the wait and asked to have the doctor come by soon so that we could be out in time but we just told that there's no guarantee. Don't even bother coming here for COVID testing. They'll make you wait 3 hours, give you a number, a nurse will ask you about symptoms, you'll be asked to check in online and wait to be called in for the test, you'll wait some more and before you know it you've wasted your whole day there. The kicker is when they tell you they're not able to retest. This is obviously once you've already waited in line outside for 3 hours. I understand waiting in line is part of taking the test, but 3 hours only to be told you'll have to wait some more time or worse that they won't retest? They need a better system. Not only are people who are potentially sick standing OUTSIDE in the hot sun waiting for this place to pick up the pace, but there's no communication from the staff about how long it might potentially take, etc. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else. After waiting 10 minutes for the doctor to come back and tell me something, I went out and asked where the doctor was. She wasn't planning to come back. When I asked her what she thought of my condition, she said ' we don't do this type of treatment. That's not what we do.'
