    The location is next to staples, like many offices in Chicago you find the building number and then take the elevator to the floor on the address. (Floor 15) for this one. There is an easy self check in and no receptionist. I was called back right away. The lab tech took my blood and it was painless. She provided the glucose drink and gave me instructions. She was friendly and professional; zero complaints. I was worried bc of the other reviews but I had no problems. She put on new gloves every time and it was clean.

    There are no signs outside the building to quest. We walked around the streets and building for 30min trying to find this place. No one in the area knew where quest is located. Once we arrived to the appt there was a young black woman at the front that said my appt is cancelled. When I checked in for walk in, she said walks ins are not allowed anymore. Quest should make a statement of walk ins aren't allowed if they are discontinuing it . Why does quest have the walk in option in the kiosk if it's not allowed? The lady said she has several scheduled appts around the clock so she can't take us. We spent another 45 minutes trying to reschedule and we waited and its so said to see that 0 patients walked in during that hour. It's pure laziness of employees that is so unethical! Employees at this location sit around and get paid to do unethical things like that and lie to patients.

    Was skeptical due to negative reviews but service was very efficient and fast. In and out in 15 minutes.

    In and out, the staff was super friendly and nice. Had to wait a little but that's expected, I recommend having an appointment.

I researched how to get there, as some have complained they could not find it. I walked into the building, and the security staff told me to go to floor 15. I walked into the office and checked in at the kiosk answering a few simple questions. I get a bit uneasy about having my blood drawn, but Tiffany was wonderful. She had such a calm and reassuring voice. She told me everything that that we would be doing and took extra care as she drew my blood. Before I knew it, it was done. Tiffany made sure I was feeling okay before letting me know how and when I should expect my results. She was really fantastic! I had a great experience here and recommend it. For peace of mind, do a basic search of the address so you can get familiar with where you are going. It helped for me. :)

No one…read moreknows when they were supposed to be called and there was no staff that we can see from the waiting area. Adding a doorbell or something similar might help? But I can also see the reason why there's no such thing. May just be an abnormally busy day... At about 1:10, I got called for my appointment. It was smooth after that. I was in-and-out pretty quickly and there was only a few people waiting then. Don't come here unless you have an appointment.

    I received a flyer from Northwestern Lasik Physicians for a free LASIK consultation at the…read moreNorthwestern Medical Faculty Foundation on the 15th floor. Since it was free, and I had considered Lasik before, I thought this would be a great time to get my eyes checked out to see if this was a procedure for me. My appointment was at 5pm, which was the latest appointment of the date for Dr. Basti. The eye technician had promptly called me in to do the preliminary tests. There were a few issues I had while I was with her, which were: 1. I had to ask her to wipe down the chin and forehead areas of the machine 2. I was relocated to three different rooms because she said she was "stealing" rooms. This left me very uncomfortable because I had left my jacket and other items unattended in these rooms (thinking the room was exclusively reserved for me during my appointment) Again, my appointment was at 5pm. I was finished with the technician by 5:20pm. I had waited and waited for the doctor (unable to see because I was instructed to take my contacts out). By 5:55pm, the doctor stops by my room, apologizes, and tells me that he'll be another 10 to 15 max. As he leaves my room, he walks another patient into the room next to me. All the while, another patient in the room across from me is waiting as well. As I was supposedly the last appointment, it appeared there were two other people AHEAD of me. It was looking like I'd have to wait till 7pm to see the doctor. Frustrated, I left the office at 6:15pm. I was going to explain to the receptionist that I just couldn't wait and needed to leave. But everyone that worked at this office had already left for the day. It wasn't until 6:40pm that I received a call from Dr. Basti apologizing for the wait and explaining that it was an unusually busy day. Then he shifted the blame to his technician telling me that he assumed I was already selected as a candidate for Lasik and thought the technician had dilated my eyes. He said he wanted to give my eyes the full 30 minutes to dilate and thats why he attended to other patients before seeing me. As a patient, I was already upset I had to wait so long to see the eye doctor. To hear that Dr. Basti and his technician couldn't communicate well enough during a consultation worried me to the point that I wouldn't want to pay thousands of dollars to get my eyes messed up and in the end have them tell me "Oh sorry, I misunderstood". Any miscommunications while under the laser is not worth it to me. With so many businesses out there that do the Lasik procedure, first impressions is key. This visit left me with a very bad impression.

I was never informed about this fee, was explicitly told it's a trial with free return during that period, and I was pressured to sign an agreement on the spot without being given time to read or understand it, which is outright illegal. The customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. Dr. Brienne Honan falsely claimed I was told about the fee, even though she wasn't even present when I signed. She appears willing to say whatever is necessary to protect the business, regardless of the truth. I returned to the office over nine times because I still couldn't hear in real-world settings (non-Bluetooth), and they still couldn't fix the issue. So I asked for something covered by my insurance to which they said no - they only want to sell Phonak and oticon. They have no empathy and did not care that I was crying to them that I couldn't hear (wouldn't even offer a tissue from the box on her desk). After spending thousands of dollars and receiving no real support, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The manipulation, dishonesty, and lack of accountability speak volumes. Dr. Honan does not have the attitude for customer-facing service. She escalated and made everything worse.

It…read morehappened over the holiday weekend, and with nothing open, we went to a convenience care clinic for earwax removal. At best, it didn't help--at worst, it made things worse. I booked an appointment online at Hearing Health Center for Monday at 4 PM, and called as soon as they opened, hoping for something earlier. Andrew at the front desk was amazing and got us in sooner. We saw Dr. Sheri Larks, and she was phenomenal--warm, calm, funny, and incredibly good at explaining everything. She talked my daughter through both the plan and the backup plan, then used gentle techniques to remove the wax. In just 20 minutes, all of it was out safely and effectively. My daughter can hear better now than she has in years. One more thing I appreciated: while we were in the waiting room, I noticed a few patients who seemed to have dementia or confusion--something that's apparently common with hearing issues in older adults. The staff treated them with such patience, respect, and kindness. It really stood out. Bottom line: if you're dealing with earwax, skip the at-home methods and urgent care clinics. Just come here. They're amazing.
