Listen to the other bad reviews!…read more Buyer beware. This business charges a $500 restocking fee -- even when the mistake is theirs. I was never informed about this fee, was explicitly told it's a trial with free return during that period, and I was pressured to sign an agreement on the spot without being given time to read or understand it, which is outright illegal. The customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. Dr. Brienne Honan falsely claimed I was told about the fee, even though she wasn't even present when I signed. She appears willing to say whatever is necessary to protect the business, regardless of the truth. I returned to the office over nine times because I still couldn't hear in real-world settings (non-Bluetooth), and they still couldn't fix the issue. So I asked for something covered by my insurance to which they said no - they only want to sell Phonak and oticon. They have no empathy and did not care that I was crying to them that I couldn't hear (wouldn't even offer a tissue from the box on her desk). After spending thousands of dollars and receiving no real support, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The manipulation, dishonesty, and lack of accountability speak volumes. Dr. Honan does not have the attitude for customer-facing service. She escalated and made everything worse.

I booked an appointment online at Hearing Health Center for Monday at 4 PM, and called as soon as they opened, hoping for something earlier. Andrew at the front desk was amazing and got us in sooner. We saw Dr. Sheri Larks, and she was phenomenal--warm, calm, funny, and incredibly good at explaining everything. She talked my daughter through both the plan and the backup plan, then used gentle techniques to remove the wax. In just 20 minutes, all of it was out safely and effectively. My daughter can hear better now than she has in years. One more thing I appreciated: while we were in the waiting room, I noticed a few patients who seemed to have dementia or confusion--something that's apparently common with hearing issues in older adults. The staff treated them with such patience, respect, and kindness. It really stood out. Bottom line: if you're dealing with earwax, skip the at-home methods and urgent care clinics. Just come here. They're amazing.

The Arkes pavilion isn't quite as flashy as some of the others; it may be a bit older. But that doesn't get in the way of the care you receive here. Lots of specialties practice out of the building, amongst them dermatology, travel medicine, hematology, nephrology, primary care, and more. There's a big space on the southeast corner that pre-pandemic was a Corner Bakery. They're still in the process of filling the space, so it sits vacant for now. But on the Huron side of the building, there's an M Burger and Ramen-San. I don't believe there's parking in this building; however, there are lots of parking garages throughout the Northwestern medical campus and you can get your parking validated for them in this building, and I think (as of August 2022, anyway) that parking is $13 once validated.

They have billed me (he/him) for my wife's birth (she/her) for 3 consecutive bill cycles and have now sent us to a debt collector. I get one mix up, maybe two, but 3 times you bill the husband who is incapable of birth? How is that even possible?? Their billing is so hidden and mischievous that we will never be returning once this is figured out. I have told them every phone call not to send us to debt collector, and we have the money to pay the bills once it is sorted out. Hope this saves someone else in the future. I've spent 17 hours of my time (and counting) to get this all sorted out.

Suspected severe DRUG ABUSE by staff! No cap. I called and a man answered the phone. I told him I…read morewas calling about getting an autopsy for my daughter. No response. Instead the man starts heaving and making gasps "Oh!"......."Oh!" ....."Ohhhh!" "Please hold while I process what I just heard..." He puts me on hold. It was as though it was the first time he had considered the concept of death and dying and he wasn't prepared. He had a truly medical reaction to an emotional subject for him, like he was going to pass out. I wondered if I had the wrong number, it didn't sound like a professional reaction. It made me think he was on extacy or something and reality of mortality was hitting him hard. Now I am a teacher and state registered care giver of special needs among other careers, so if he has autism or something, I tried to be patient and wait on hold. I mean, there's nothing wrong with being emotional or to feel deeply, empathy is a good thing, but not professional. However, his later actions disprove that he was caring. He began to ask if I was the mother and began suggesting that the reason I was seeking an autopsy was due to greif and began suggesting that my call was a misguided act resulting from proximity to the anniversary of death or the deseased' birthday and how what I really needed was counseling and began rattling off services from other agencies. I was calling on my lunchbreak, so I didn't have alot of time and when he paused to hyperventilate again, I tried to tell him that this was actually not my reason for the autopsy, but as soon as I began to interject, he began making a loud, long, childish sound over me so that I was not allowed to speak "Way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-wayway" and then he started speaking in paragraphs again about this not being the right choice for me and I attempted again to get back onto topic for the reason I called. I tried telling him that his assumptions were inaccurate, that the autopsy was for a court hearing because the hospital neglected to perform the ordered autopsy in question, so I was trying to go through a private agency, but I never got to explain any of this to him, because I was not permitted to say one word before he stopped me rudely again shouting "Way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-way-wayway" over my voice to shut me up. He said, "don't interupt me, I will lose my train of thought". And he continued with his hypothesis and gasping and panting. I was just trying to get info on the cost and process of an autopsy but he wanted to force me to listen to him and I was not allowed to speak. A person can try to make their sister "shut up", but I am a customer, you don't interrupt me or talk over me or force me to let you talk in paragraphs about services that I am not calling about and control and dominate the conversation and not let me get a word in or defend myself against what you are accusing me of calling about. If I am short on time, as a customer, I am allowed to find a break in your speech to try to get the conversation back on topic. If I was your wife, and we were discussing our relationship, then that is the time to take turns to make sure eachother's feelings are heard and validated. As a customer, you dont force me to listen to you belittling my intelligence as to the reason for the autopsy of my family member and make loud irritating sounds to "shut me down" from having any words in. I am a strong, independant woman. I am just trying to get answers to my inquiry. I dont need a psychological evaluation. I am not trying to be harsh, i just speak with confidence and trying to get clear, direct answers. Totally disrespectful. I don't need upsetting customer service to compile on any possible remaining greif of this process.

I researched how to get there, as some have complained they could not find it. I walked into the building, and the security staff told me to go to floor 15. I walked into the office and checked in at the kiosk answering a few simple questions. I get a bit uneasy about having my blood drawn, but Tiffany was wonderful. She had such a calm and reassuring voice. She told me everything that that we would be doing and took extra care as she drew my blood. Before I knew it, it was done. Tiffany made sure I was feeling okay before letting me know how and when I should expect my results. She was really fantastic! I had a great experience here and recommend it. For peace of mind, do a basic search of the address so you can get familiar with where you are going. It helped for me. :)
