I had an excellent experience at Quest Diagnostics. I did not schedule an appointment prior and walked in. I was able to have my blood drawn in 30 minutes. I researched how to get there, as some have complained they could not find it. I walked into the building, and the security staff told me to go to floor 15. I walked into the office and checked in at the kiosk answering a few simple questions. I get a bit uneasy about having my blood drawn, but Tiffany was wonderful. She had such a calm and reassuring voice. She told me everything that that we would be doing and took extra care as she drew my blood. Before I knew it, it was done. Tiffany made sure I was feeling okay before letting me know how and when I should expect my results. She was really fantastic! I had a great experience here and recommend it. For peace of mind, do a basic search of the address so you can get familiar with where you are going. It helped for me. :) read more

I arrived 5 mins before my appointment at 1 pm and there were 7 people in the waiting area. No one knows when they were supposed to be called and there was no staff that we can see from the waiting area. Adding a doorbell or something similar might help? But I can also see the reason why there's no such thing. May just be an abnormally busy day... At about 1:10, I got called for my appointment. It was smooth after that. I was in-and-out pretty quickly and there was only a few people waiting then. Don't come here unless you have an appointment. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Quest Diagnostics. In February 2025, I went in for a tuberculosis test and paid $60 at the lab. At no point was I informed about any additional charges or that I would later receive bills for hundreds of dollars. Shockingly, six months later, I started receiving bills for $384. No one informed me about this extra cost during the test or afterwards. If I had known I would be charged such an outrageous amount, I would have never used this lab and would have gone elsewhere for a much more affordable option. Furthermore, all my attempts to resolve this directly with the lab were ignored. They did not offer any way to pay in installments or even discuss the situation. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If Quest Diagnostics plans to charge such amounts, they should clearly inform their clients upfront. I cannot recommend this lab to anyone -- their service, communication, and billing practices are extremely disappointing read more

The staff there was very nice. They handled my 13 year old kid very well. Unfortunately, I got a $600 suprise bill for simple blood test. Quest does not take most of the common insurance providers (e.g. Blue Cross of Illinois). They tried to bill to Blue Cross of Minnesota, and it was rejected of course. They are running a racket. read more

I've been here a couple times for blood draws and they are quick and efficient. The parking garage is spacious and the building is clean. This last time I went, there was nobody even in the waiting room. I was more than 10 minutes late to my appointment, so when I signed in the computer told me I would be treated as a walk-in. Since I was the only one there, I barely even had time to sit down before I was called back. My phlebotomist was friendly, albeit very quiet. He took my measurements and told me the results, which weren't quite right since he took the kilogram weight from the scale. I corrected him and then he proceeded with the blood draw, which went very smoothly. After I was bandaged up he said I was free to go. Make sure to ask to have your parking validated, as they didn't ask if I needed it. It was a little over $3 after validation. UPDATE: I got my results back next day, which was super fast, but my weight was recorded as 100 pounds less than it really is. Being 6'4", the 111-pound measurement resulted in my screening results reporting that I am severely underweight. I have emailed quest to have this corrected and they are currently looking into it. I may have to go back in for another measurement. Make sure they record your measurements correctly! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went to Quest for regular bloodwork. Everything seemed fine until my doctor called to receive my results. Turns out they performed another persons tests on me. They gave my doctor this other girl's name, the tests she needed, and the name of her doctor, completely violating HIPPA. My doctor immediately shared the error and they assured her they would be investigating the incident. I also called to ask what happened, and was also given the confidential information of the other patient whose tests they performed on me. Her name, doctor name, and tests were in my Quest portal as well. When I called, I was assured an investigation would take place and I would not be billed. A month later, I received a bill from Quest for the incorrect services. They billed my insurance over $700 for this incorrect service. I called their customer service many times. Found out that the original investigation never took place. Asked to start an investigation, was told I'd hear back in 24 hours. 48 hours later, I called back again. This agent couldn't find any record of an investigation - so those first two investigations I was told were happening simply didn't happen. At this point, I've talked to over 10 Quest employees, asked for multiple investigations, was assured I would not be billed, and everything I was told would happen did not happen. I finally submitted a HIPPA complaint with the Department of Health & Human Services, which finally got Quest's attention. Apparently they don't care about their mistakes until it could affect them. After the HIPPA complaint, Quest told me again that an investigation would take place, but a few weeks later I received a letter saying they looked into the situation and there was no evidence of any wrongdoing...which is a joke. If you look at my account, you can see the other girl's name, doctor, and tests that were ordered for her. Everyone I've talked to at Quest has acknowledged the error. I even had someone from the Halsted location call me, apologize for what happened, and assure me the bill would be voided. That never happened. The bill is still active. Quest is an absolute joke of a company. Their customer service hangs up on you. Their agents tell you they will be helping you and do absolutely nothing to follow up. They don't take issues seriously even when it is a serious violation of privacy and ethics. They don't make these issues right even when they say they will. Others should know to avoid this place at all costs unless you want to spend hours of your life trying to fix their mistakes. read more

I was lied to repeatedly about what my insurance would cover and it took over 2 hours to get a simple blood test. All I needed was a cholesterol test, which they confirmed would be covered by my insurance. Then, because I'd had no blood work done in over a year, they encouraged me to get some other tests, each time assuring me that my insurance would cover it. I agreed. Then I waited. And I waited. And I was ignored. And I was moved to a new room. And I was ignored. And I was told the phlebotomist would see me soon. And I waited another half an hour. And the phlebotomist confirmed that all of the tests would be covered by my insurance. I bet you can guess where this is going. It was not, in fact, all covered by my insurance. Avoid this place. They lie. Try to call and ask questions/contest a bill and prepare to hit walls. What a garbage operation. Go elsewhere for your medical care needs. read more

The nurse was beyond rude at this location, honestly considered walking out because I didn't feel safe or comfortable with her doing my lab work. She barely looked at me until drawing my blood and went to pick up her Uber eats order in the middle of doing my bloodwork. I've been to other quests and I highly recommend going anywhere else but here. I understand giving the benefit of the doubt and people having bad days but as a medical worker you should aim to make your clients comfortable and feel like they are in good hands. read more

Well there is no sign on the street because it's actually in a medical building that you really wouldn't know is a medical building. I am covered in tattoos and every year I get filler but i'm still incredibly scared of needles (including the 62 Botox ones I get every 90 days in my face) well I'm petrified of blood draws or blood donation. Wellllllll Carolyn is amazing. Bomb!!! Phlebotomist was beyond obnoxious. I asked for a butterfly needle for my child, and she ignored me. I thought she might not have heard me, so I tried again with no response as she silently drew his blood with a large needle. When I asked her if they had butterfly needles at Quest, she replied yes. Wow. I have never had anyone give me pushback on this before, and she was so unkind. read more

That was 7 days ago and when I sent an email to follow up they said thee lab service is not available for people with a physician referral. I was a walk-in with no referral. This location is inside the office building on the second floor. If you park in the garage, you can walk right into the 2nd floor hallway from there & quest is just steps away. Also just steps off the elevator. Validated parking in the garage is a discounted rate is $3 up to an hour. The front waiting area is pretty spacious (nice during flu season) so you aren't sitting right on top of each other. The walls though- man Quest that neon limeade color on the walls got me feeling a little queezy & I DONT have the flu ;-) Hydration station for water and plenty of magazines, medical flyers, and a tv. The entire facility that I came into contact appeared absolutely spotless. The staff was incredibly professional and kind. My blood draw was nearly completely painless. They allowed me to pay a small balance with a credit card right there without acting like payment was an inconvenience (like the former location I visited who told me I had to call to pay.) As far as blood draws go, this was a five-star experience. I'll be back! read more

Thank the Lord for Joanne, the phlebotomist that checked me in and drew my blood. She greeted me upon my arrival into the office, which is located inside the same building as the British School of Chicago. (Parking is in the garage for $2 with validation!) I came in earlier than the appointment time that I booked by 20 minutes, and I was out the door before the time I chose online. How awesome is that?! As for the actual process of inserting the needle and drawing my blood, I felt a poke and that was it. Over in less than 30 seconds. Joanne said that she 18 years of experience, and her 8 year old son even prefers to have her draw his blood whenever has to for doctor's appointments. I came in on 11/15 to this location and was greeted and serviced by Dana. There was only one person ahead of me so screen check in was quick. Dana took me back 5 min later, greeted me again, and asked how my day was going. This was while she was checking my insurance and taking my doctors orders for the blood draw. She explained everything with insurance and took my HSA card for any additional expenses that insurance didn't cover. She got 4 tubes ready and did her thing. I did not feel any pain. That's how good she was! The reason I chose this specific location was because the Quest lab closest to my home 3000 N. Halsted has terrible reviews. The website offered a test with 1-2 day results for a COVID test. So I made an appointment , even though the closest place was 35 minutes from my house. When I got to the Walmart store where I was to receive the test, there was no Quest office. Nor was there any signage directing me where to go. I had to ask three different people where to go--mind you, I've got COVID symptoms and it is exhausting to walk back and forth across the store. I was finally told by the pharmacist that this was a curbside pick-up. I would receive a self-test kit which I would then need to drop off at a Fed Ex office to then receive my results IN FOUR OR FIVE DAYS!. I went to the place in the parking lot where the pharmacist said I would need to go and call the number on my ticket. This was a national number, not a number from within the store. After punching many numbers on a phone tree, I finally got an agent. She said she would call the store and someone would come out to deliver the test. I decided, at this point, to search for another appointment at a different lab. I sat there in my car where I was ostensibly going to receive the kit for a half hour, setting up an appointment on my phone at a CVS Pharmacy close to my house. I was sitting there for a HALF HOUR, but nobody came out of Walmart to give me the self-test kit they promised. Now, ONE DAY later, I get a message from Quest saying the test (which I was never given) showed a negative result!!!! And, of course, they are going to charge me/my insurance company for the bogus test. Wow. read more

Came here to do some standard blood tests. Titers for Hep B, Varicella, and MMR + Quantiferon Gold In my case I was advised to book my appointment under Quantiferon Gold online (since they need time to gather the materials) and the titers didn't need to be mentioned since they always have the stuff for that on site. Tip: You need a doctor's prescription before you arrive for your appt. You can get this at any urgent care center if your primary care doctor is booked. This was a new aspect of healthcare to me. I've never had better sticks anywhere in my life than at this quest. I've been here several times multiple months apart and both times were painless. Everything was super fast and efficient. I've been here twice now for my company's annual wellness testing. Clean, well run, and nice waiting area. The staff are efficient and well-trained. They're open on Saturday too for all those 9 to 5ers. You can book an online reservation or do a walk in. I think this Quest is one of the relatively newer ones with fewer patients so that's a plus! I can see that changing soon with more reviews. Booo. Oh! If you park in the building's garage, they validate your ticket. I highly warn of this place. It took me two hours to get a test done that elsewhere would be much faster, today on Dec. 30, 2021. Why? Because the staff has not enough training and is extremely unfriendly. One person, Edwards Demarquis, was not able to put into the system a lactoferrin test and yelled at me as if it was my fault. He also yelled at an older man when asking him for a phone number in front of my eyes. Carroll walked around unmotivated and unfriendly. The staff has poor training, they let you wait for hours, and are even aggressive. They told me their medical facility director is elsewhere at a newer location. It seems that they feel they can do whatever they want. This place looks out of control with people that are frustrated and not motivated at all. The worst lab I have ever visited in my life. I will also request to speak with the medical director. This is a totally out of control lab. read more
