Gave this place and organization 1 star. Trust me it would be less if Yelp allowed that. Subsequently I got a message that asked me to email them with the details of my disputed bill. I emailed immediately. Of course no reply. Have called customer service (which is a call center in the Philippines and so these operators have no authority or knowledge to do anything.) Was able to schedule appointment for Sunday am. Upon arrival Doors were closed, no one was there, no one answered the phones. Nothing. Was left standing outside (17 degrees) while I tried to find another provider and wait for uber. Unbelievable. read more

Nothing immediate about this place. They are incredibly slow. Or understaffed? (Except there was a lot of staff in the office) Idk but they took us 2 hours late for our appointment, which is incredibly rude. They must feel that their time is more valuable than ours. A lot of chit chat going on in the back, so that probably didn't help either. Oh, and they were having a shift change, which I think they were pointing out to justify their tardiness. Odd. Unfortunately, they don't even realize how poorly they are treating people, nor do they care. They were actually arguing with an elderly gentleman who was simply trying to point out that if he will be seen 2 hrs past his appointment time, just make his appointment 2 hours later. ....obviously. The provider was fine and seemed reasonably knowledgeable but the entire experience was polluted by the logistical incompetence. You know, health care doesn't have to suck but it will continue to suck as long as providers perpetuate the problem and put patients last. It sucks to suck and you all are kings. Bottom line: A competent provider does not outweigh poor customer service and I simply cannot recommend this place unless you want to contend with this ridiculous nonsense. read more

Came here to get a Rapid PCR COVID-19 test, but my experience was very much soured by the long wait time. + Ease of making an appointment + Appointment availability + Friendly personnel - Waited 35+ minutes to be seen, and an additional 20 minutes for results I made an appointment online for a rapid PCR test. Everything was straightforward and pretty easy. I registered, chose a time, provided all my info, insurance card, driver's license, etc. with relative ease. I arrived for my appointment exactly on time. Despite being the only person in there, I waited over half-an-hour to be seen. I was provided no information or reasoning at all; at a certain point I wondered if they forgot I was there, or if I had a stroke and this was all a dream. When I was eventually seen, everyone was very nice and helpful. I was tested quickly, but had to wait in-person for my results. All-in-all, I got what I needed. However, if this was my experience as the literal only patient in the building, I would hate to experience it when they're busier. If given the choice, I would sooner go somewhere else for care. read more

It was such a waste of time. I visited this clinic since my primary doctor was out of the office. The office clerk treated me with an attitude, and the care provider gave the bare minimum medication and was reluctant to refill medication. Only 5 people in lobby and I was able to take a hour nap after sitting thru appointment time for 30 minutes...5 staff members chatting in the back. I was asked to undress then waited another 15 minutes for Dr to come in for 5 minute exam ...then another 10 minutes waiting for the xray technician, then another 30 min for results from xrays...so it could have been a better more fluid visit. read more

Brittney Tunon PA was hostile and completely unprofessional. There's something wrong with her, she's hostile and aggressive and rude. I had flu symptoms for four days. I was tested for Covid and flu, and had a chest x-ray. I had to ask three times for her to correct the errors on my return to work slip. The first time I asked, she slammed the door of the examination room. The second time she insisted there was no problem. The third time she told me to get out. I had to turn in an inaccurate return to work slip that my employer had to verify because it looks like a kid trying to forge a note, and contained grammatical errors And the dates were incorrect. This was the closest location when I searched for a free covid test. It's not free. Even when I got there and asked the front desk before I saw anyone, they assured me that if I had insurance, it would be free. It's not free. Insurance paid for most of it, but I still got a bill for $37. Had they have been honest with me, I would've gotten a covid test elsewhere that is actually free. Never coming here again. read more

Made an appointment and arrived 15-20 mins early as prompted by their email to fill out new client paperwork. It was pretty busy but not crazy- several Walk ins and appointments waiting. I waited 15 mins past my appt time when the receptionist realized that a walk in who arrived at the same time as I did was taken back before me. She checked with the nurses and 5 minutes later said it would be another 10 minutes before I was seen. I had to leave so I told her that they needed to cancel my appt because it's already 20 mins past my scheduled time and that apparently having an appointment doesn't mean anything. I left and called a few minutes later to speak to someone and they left me on hold for another 10 minutes. Terrible customer service; thankfully my broken finger wasn't bleeding too. read more

I arrived at 8 am, when they open, only to be told they had no staff available and couldn't determine how long I would have to wait. So, they offered me an appointment for 10 am. I accepted it. 20 minutes later, I received a text message that my appointment was cancelled. This is unacceptable for a business whose entire purpose is to see patients--it's supposed to be an urgent care, walk in center. They do not inspire confidence and are totally unreliable. read more

The waiting time was probably the longest I've experienced at any walk-in facility I've been to, which says quite a bit considering I have utilized walk-ins often in my lifetime. I believe the visit in its entirety took 2 hours, and within that time period there was one person in front of me. I came in with a sore throat and had a PA take a look as well as a tech swab for strep. The rapid results for strep takes 10 minutes. What was going on for the extra 110 minutes, I do not know. The staff were friendly enough, but my PA for example was not very experienced or knowledgeable around what I was maybe looking to gain more insight on-- tonsil concerns. In the end, I left right where I started-- not knowing what's going on, and the wait time was certainly not worth it. (Really a 1.5 rating because again- what I needed was incredibly straight forward and it took a huge amount of time). read more

I have been here twice. The first time , I had a great experience the doctor was totally professional and she fixed my problem. Second time it was a disaster. I do not like to write bad reviews, but when I called the clinic to explain my situation, they did not care and also they were mean, they played the fact that I have an accent and they could not understand me ( I have been live in the USA for 10 years). I call that discrimination! They only care about $35 I owed them. The "guy" ( I cannot call him physician), kept me for 4 hours without resolving the problem and ACTUALLY MADE IT WORSE to the point where I was bleeding and asking him to stop using a mini drill to my wounded finger. The only good thing he did, was send me to the ER after keeping me in pain for 4 hours with zero progress. Luckily, the ER fixed the problem in 5 mins. If he did not know what he was doing , he should have immediately told me that he had zero idea and send me elsewhere He clearly didn't have any experience nor the proper instruments to do any procedure and this was clear from the onset however he decided to drill away for 4 hours when I was telling him to stop and that there was visible blood and pain. He did not have any empathy or patience , he was hurting me and cutting my skin he never apologized or explained to me what he was doing even when both me and my husband asked him directly. When I called to request a medication refill I was told that I need to come in for an urgent care visit (higher copay) and that they could not bridge my medication for 5 days until I can get in to a new doctor. Long waiting times and disappointing care. I visit this clinic because I was sick as hell, after sharing my symptoms their first reaction was the flu but I told them that I didn't have the flu but they ran the test and was negative so they sent me home with a Tylenol and told me to come back anytime if the symptoms get worst. So next day I came back because I was feeling worst they ran more tests and they came up with an infection but they didn't prescribe anything they just sent me home. Then I ended up getting two bills for the two visits, I totally understand the tests and laboratory services but charged me for the second visit for a follow up when they told me to come back if I was still sick. I mean if I had known that they would charge me for a follow up, I would have stayed sick at home as they did not prescribe me anything but a Tylenol. read more

She was super detailed and considered my prior kidney transplant when making decisions on antibiotics. Even stayed and waited for my team to call her back. Live this place and this experience. Awful experience. I called to see if they did presurgery clearance physicals snd was told yes! Headed over and the doctor focused solely on my weight asking multiple times about health issues I don't have, drew extra blood work because of my weight (all normal) and then even though my EKG was normal wouldn't clear me for surgery without a cardiac appointment because "he wasn't my normal doctor" ugh duh this is an urgent care. After scrambling for an appointment I saw a cardiologist and an internal med doctor and they both laughed at the request for cardiac clearance since I had a completely normal EKG. I live in River North and did my research on urgent cares near me before deciding to choose Physicians Immediate Care on Clybourn. There were urgent cares closer to where I live, however because of how sensitive my injury was I wanted to make sure I went somewhere with good reviews and hoped it would be worth paying for an uber there and back. I was NOT disappointed! It was well worth the trip. I was in immense pain and needed relief quickly as I am in the midst of a move. The staff here worked quickly and efficiently. More importantly they listened to me as a patient when I expressed my nervousness about them handling my injury. They were accommodating, respectful and extremely gentle. Absolutely awful experience at this urgent care today. I felt lucky to get an appointment for after school since my daughter has had a persistent cough but not many other symptoms but the cough had lasted over a week and I was nervous her symptoms would develop into an ear infection. We get in for the appointment and the nurse checks her vitals, everything fine and she says to wait for the provider to come in. Then the provider comes in and says her tests were negative and she had allergies. I explained that the nurse only took her vitals and she insisted that she had done two swabs for COVID and strep and both were negative. She said my daughter's symptoms were because of allergies but my daughter has never been diagnosed with allergies, so that was weird. She peeked in her throat without any kind of otoscope and said "yep, allergies!" Funny, i was tested for allergies as a child and it involved a lot more than me opening my mouth for a split second. I got all the way out to the car before I decided to go back in and demand to see the tests they took, since both my daughter and I did not recall them taking swabs. They put us back in the same room and it was then I realized they gave us SOMEONE ELSE'S after visit summary. The nurse comes back in and actually completes the swabs for COVID and strep. When the results come in (negative) the "provider" comes in with the exact same diagnosis and treatment as the other patient. Now, this could be a coincidence but the provider NEVER looked in my child's ears which we told listed to the nurse as part of her symptoms. She didn't even look at her throat other than the first time we came in. It was all so confusing, I wish I had spoken up at the time but the visit was already so bizarre and drawn out. I was on my way home when it dawned on me--they didn't actually examine my daughter! The whole experience was very gaslighty and unprofessional, if not unethical. I'm very confused how my daughter could be diagnosed with anything without actually being examined. read more

I made an online appointment for my son 90 mins before arrival for 1:30pm. Arrived at 1:15. Wasn't seen by a doctor until 2:30. Waited for swab results for another hour. Nurse came in hour later and discharged us with a prescription electronically sent. I asked her what the diagnosis was since we thought we were still waiting for results (no one came back to follow up after swabbing son). Only after I asked they replied No to flu, maybe to strep. specifically asked if the prescription was sent to CVS on Armitage. Yes I was assured. Cvs was on my onbording docs and I confirmed as I was leaving. Rushed there, and they had no record of my sons prescription. Called and was placed on hold forever. Finally CVS found it from a nearby Walgreens and they got it transferred . And I finally got to take my sick 4 year old home 4 hours later. Nevermind he fell asleep twice in the waiting room and vomited during that time. Just not a good experience, probably worse one ever in an urgent care. Only had two people in waiting room when I arrived and even with my appt didn't seem to make any difference. Will choose another place next time. read more

I have (unfortunately) had to visit this clinic on a few occasions, once for a particularly stubborn flu, once for a bladder infection, and once for a cut on my foot.. Every time I have encountered personable doctors (wow,) and staff, was seen quickly, and was satisfied that I received very good care. I found the price is quite reasonable given that it is urgent care and not routine. *please note that some medications prescribed are available at the clinic and some are not, so they fax it to your pharmacy. And you've got to love the ample parking lot in front! read more

This place ruled for several reasons... -Parking was easy -I was seen within minutes after filling out some pretty basic paperwork -They had free coffee and snacks like granola bars/chips -The doctos listened to me -The nurse was super nice -I got a gift bag afterwards But the best thing of all was the fact that I went in with what I thought was bronchitis (I get it often) and found out I had pneumonia. The doctor also looked through my paperwork, saw I had asthma as a kid, and took the extra step and ran a breathing test. I totally bombed! A shot and nebulizer treatment later and I actually felt so much better. I realized I did in fact need an inhaler after all. I'm wishing I went to Dr. Z a long time ago, perhaps I could've avoided getting bronchitis EVERY year! read more

Absolutely do not recommend. Went in for a sore throat that I needed medication for. Doctor looks at me for less than 30 seconds and sends me to the ER abscess. I get to the ER and multiple different doctors examine me and find nothing. Given medication and sent home after less than an hour there. I called the office to let them know and they denied my claim that they made an error. Now I'm escalating with the BBB and looking for attorneys. I had injured my ankle and after 12 days it was still swollen and not getting any better. Rather than go to an E.R. and pay an arm and a leg I decided to try an urgent care facility. The check-in process was easy and I was immediately taken back to an examination room. Sarah was the nurse who talked with me about my injury and took my vitals. She was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Very shortly after she left Dr. Richardson came in and did a thorough examination of my ankle and informed me that it was sprained and she was so sure of it that she didn't want to run up my bill with x-ray which really wasn't necessary. I appreciate the fact that she was trying to minimize costs and my time by not ordering unnecessary tests. Like Sarah she also was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesititate to recommend this facility to family and friends or return myself if I needed to be seen quickly and it wasn't a life and death matter. Been here a couple times when I needed something looked at right away and my regular doctor's office is booked out and going to the ER was overkill. The receptionists, nurses, and doctors are all nice and professional. The medical staff were courteous, understanding and did their work as expected; in short, my experiences here met or exceeded expectations. I'd probably go here for regularly scheduled exams but the co-pay is a bit higher with my insurance (that and my regular doc is great as well).
