I love this place , they have the best pastries and durian drink . Every time we come to temple city we always stop by

I came in the afternoon and there weren't a lot of people. They have a lot of tables inside and a few outside. I got the mixed fruit delight and I was hoping that there would be more fruit in it for the price. It was mostly coconut milk. Not saying that it tasted bad I was just hoping for more for the price.

My first time at the Temple City Phoenix Kitchen location after the San Gabriel one closed, and I was so happy with the experience. Ping was an amazing server, so kind, welcoming, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We ordered the minced chicken with seaweed and fried egg, Thai flavor seafood soup, noodle soup with pork, beef king pao, and sticky rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions are definitely worth the price, and the lemon iced tea was so refreshing. The ambiance also made the meal even better. There was plenty of seating, the benches and chairs were comfortable, and the music was kept at a low enough volume to easily enjoy conversation during the meal. For my birthday, Ping brought us a bubble waffle, which was such a sweet surprise and so good. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I will definitely be back!

Honestly this place hasn't changed much from 10+ years ago! Coming here for their food is pretty mediocre. I tried their crunchy chicken fried rice bowl and beef and rice dish and while the beef was good, the chicken dish was practically flavorless and tasted as if you were just eating straight up gluten. The place is definitely better for a quick grab and go of their purple rice jellies or tapioca drinks! Also, there is no ac or wifi and their service in the area isn't great. Not a great place to do study/do work.

I was craving some good ole wonton noodle soup and ordered online for pickup and it was deeeeelicious. The wonton's were huge!!!! I wish it came with more noodles or had a option to add more noodles for an extra charge.

my family can always rely on this place for late dinners. prices are good, dishes are great, and service is incredible!

Our meal included: The Chili Tofu Skin Crispy Shrimp - highly recommend Na's Prime Angus Ribs - highly recommend Braised Abalone & Pork Belly with Chinese Puffy Pie - highly recommend Shrimp Fried Rice with Bonito - my fav! I came here for my birthday dinner with a friend and made a reservation via OpenTable in advance. We dined around 5pm and the restaurant wasn't too packed at that time since they just opened. My friend and I ordered a lot of dishes: -Diced Black Pepper Honey Angus Beef: Our favorite dish of the night. I've never had beef that can have a perfectly crispy exterior, but a tender and rare interior. This was delicious and the flavors and textures were on point. A shame that this was only 4 small pieces in one order though. -Braised Pork Belly: This dish was also great. There were large chunks of fat on the meat, but it literally just melts in your mouth. The pork was tender and flavorful. Delicious. -Tofu Skin Salad: I quite liked this dish. A great appetizer. The texture was great and the seasoning wasn't too strong. -Crispy Shrimp: One of the dishes they're known for. The shrimp was large, plump and crispy, but kind of overhyped. -Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable Noodles: If Pad Thai and Chow Mein had a baby, this would be that dish. A solid noodle dish, but tasted and felt like something you could get at a mom n pop Chinese spot. -Shrimp Fried Rice with Bonito Flakes: Solid shrimp and egg fried rice. I think the bonito flakes are unnecessary though. The flavor from them is distinct and doesn't match with the fried rice in my opinion. -Crispy Tuna Poke Salad: Honestly, this is the weirdest dish I've seen at a Chinese restaurant. It was a fusion of many different things. Crispy rice shells reminiscent of Indian Panipuri filled with a sweet and creamy poke salad reminiscent of Asian fruit salad all served on a bed of chocolate chips? This wasn't bad, but it was too out of the box. -Mushroom Noodles: A free "birthday treat" from the restaurant. To be honest, this felt like they just gave us whatever was lying around in the kitchen. The noodles were too clumpy and the mushroom sauce was pretty earthy. -Lucky Koi Milk Pudding: My friend and I enjoyed this dessert which was also given to us for free on my birthday. It was creamy and not too sweet. The pudding mold design was also on point. -Na's Assorted Flight (Mini): This is good for 2 people to share. The desserts were pretty traditional in taste with a lot of bitter pieces. Not my cup of tea unfortunately. The ambiance was beautiful and the service was great! Overall, while I had some good food here, there were also some misses. The food seemed a bit inconsistent which is why I think they lost their Michelin star twice. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to dine here again, but if someone invited me I would. This is a spot worth the try though!

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue. The lady mentioned that the wait is around 30 minutes, but if we're comfortable sharing tables, there's no wait at all. I wanted to be on the waitlist because I wasn't too keen on sharing tables. I spent nearly an hour outside, keeping an eye on my phone to see the status of our table in my phone. Then, I headed inside to find out how long it would take to get seated. Turns out, I needed to check in first so they could add me to the waitlist. I spoke to the lady who took my information down over the phone, know that they hadn't mentioned I needed to check in to be on the waitlist. She explained that they usually don't take our information over the phone and put us on the waitlist. So, I need to check in to be on their waitlist. She didn't apologize, but she kept saying that they don't know if customers will show up, so they can't put us on the waitlist. However, she did say she'd seat us next. I only got to taste a little of each dish, and they were good. But I lost my appetite because I drove 55 minutes just to try their food, and I had some really bad customer service right away in the morning. My friends also enjoyed the food, but did not have big of an appetite by the time we got seated. They were swamped, so no one followed up with us after they served our dishes. The group of eight ladies next to us seemed to get more attention. I know they're super busy, though. I'd suggest checking out the food there! Just a heads-up, if you're with a small group, you might not get the best customer service.

Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe.
