This place used to be tilted kilt downtown. With that gone, it was replaced by a more high end restaurant. The interior decor was really sharp like a fancy cabin so it also feels cozy. For the appetizers we ordered cornbread, bacon and bone marrow. We were not disappointed at all. The bacon was thick and flavorful, the bone marrow had a good consistency and paired well with the baguette and the corn bread was also delightful. For my meal I got the shrimp and grits. I normally don't like grits as it can taste very bland. This one however was far from that. It was the perfect balance of salt, savory and the texture was just right. The drinks were well prepared and not overpriced which was nice. I would have expected more from the bone marrow however. It was only enough for 3 bites. read more

I'm surprised the ratings for this place aren't higher because we had a fantastic experience. First, the ambience is beautiful. Big open windows, modern, and tastefully decorated. We sat at the bar, which displayed a beautiful array of many different types bourbon and liquor. The food is reasonably priced, and delicious. We shared a jambalaya and a side of green beans. Both were excellent. We finished our course with the cobbler and ice cream, which was also delicious. The place was hopping with many diners, and full of good energy. Wanted to enjoy the Phoenix Suns opener with family in from Vegas and decided to eat here but big mistake!!!! The service was absolutely horrible. We waited an hour for our food just to be told "it was still on grill" another 30 mins then we were told order mix up on computer...how is that if we were told it was on grill! I visited the restaurant with high expectations, we had traveled in from out of town for Billy Joel, when the reservations were made they easily and eagerly accommodated our party of 8, then we had 2 guests join us so it was quickly changed to 10 and they accommodated. Then, upon arrival I was told that it was for 8, and they seemed put off that I needed a spot for 10, but the place was DEAD so miraculously they found us a table in their dead restaurant. There were 100 people working not joking yet the service was terrible and slow! We mentioned we were trying to get to a show and they seemed eager to please and sent things out quickly, when I say quickly think of the slow turtle "rushing" kind of trying but not really actually rushing anywhere. Sooo we finally order, someone got a filet it was bland, over cooked, and dry. My food ribs, were way too overcooked to even attempt to eat them, my fries were good, but that hard to mess up! Someone got salmon, bland and over cooked, I'll go on, I heard the jambalaya was bland and cold, then a cold pork chop was served. One meal was missing so I went back to the kitchen myself and they stated nope all the foods out, I said well no 1 person has no food. A few minutes later food was brought out, cold hot over Smokey meatloaf and cold mashed potatoes. It was all just awful!!! My friend and I (1st time visitors) went here spontaneously, because I love Bourbon and it seemed interesting. When we walked in the hostess said it was full and asked if we had a reservation. The service was great. My friend and I had salads (Caesar and Country Cobb) that were both great! Fresh veggies and for me fresh chicken and bacon. Very nice portions. We both had an Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden Bourbon and it was just magnificent (a recommendation from the waitress). Slightly Smokey finish with a smooth taste. We were even offered free promo shots of Bourbon. I definitely recommend this place for it's good, service, drinks and food. But go to the 2nd floor!! Wow! How disappointed I was with this place! It was my first time there and we made reservations for 6 p.m. Our order was a pork chop, and fish and chips. We asked our waitress where our food was as we were going on 1 1/2 hours with no food. She said she would go check and never came back to us with an update. We grab another waitress to tell her to cancel our food! All of the sudden the food started to come out and we told the waitress we were leaving! The manager Jay asked us why we were leaving and we told him that the food took too long to come out! Jay the manager started then to argue with us! I questioned why other tables were getting their food before us and he said they ordered burgers! Hmmmm one would think that our food should of come out sooner if we were there before other people? The rest of my party also thought that their food was very bland. The waitress barely gave us any attention. It was just okay. First they didn't have 3 of the drinks on the menu. No stagg, no Lee. They offered a "comparable" drink. The higher priced items were 25 a pour so sure why not. They served Blantons Gold. Nice choice, for 25 sure. Check came and it's 65 a pour. That's crazy specially for bourbon place. Tried to give feedback and told me they never said comparable. So my friend and I decided to stop here for dinner before going to our concert. We wanted to get a few drinks and eat some good food. We probably got here about 530 and it was busy but not super crazy yet. And not many people at the bar which is where we sat. I got a Manhattan because it sounded different. No fault to the bartender but hated it lol. I was hoping they'd have Aviation Gin But they didn't though, but they do have a lot of bourbon hence their name. We decided to just get two chicken Caesar salad's considering we were not Sure how long it would take. Within five minutes some girls sat next to us and probably another 10 minutes before they order. We had to wait till probably 610 before we got our salads. And the thing was we were constantly asking our server how much longer it will take because we did not think two Caesar salad with chicken on it was going to take that long. I try to be considerate and think maybe they only had one cook or was super busy but there was people who came after us who were getting actual meals. Finally we got our salads and the funny thing the ladies next to us also got their meals. I don't know if we annoyed our bartender by asking her where our food was but we could definitely tell she did try to avoid us. I don't think it's her fault but then again did she even place our order or did she forget to. There's so many factors that could've happened but in the past I have bartended I have waitressed and I just felt like the service was not to my standards and I'm pretty generous with my standards. Especially with Covid I understand staff shortages but at least communicate with the Guest. I still tried to be nice even as I was leaving or when my friend picked up the check but I think the bartender could care less. So I don't know how I really feel about this please I would love to come back maybe give it another shot. I do have to mention the salad was definitely not worth the wait I mean not to be mean but it literally was just lettuce Parmesan cheese and grilled chicken and the chicken had no flavor or seasoning or anything on it. But it wasn't tender chicken. But was not worth a 30 minute wait. A week ago I use this facility to host a team event . I worked with Theo to coordinate the menu and the room space and worked with Ali and Amaya for the service for our event . I cannot speak enough good about our experience there . The food was exceptional, the service was over the top and I would recommend it highly weather for a bigger event or for a night out with your family or friend . We had such a wonderful experience we returned as a family the following night and our experience far exceeded what often happens at many establishments . Unfamiliar with area so was walking around checking out our food options as we were staying a couple blocks away. Would not have know Bourbon Room was there if not for their sign advertising their happy hour. It wasn't on the street level so took outdoor escalator up and found it up there with other restaurants. Wasn't very busy except for 3 people at bar. Waitress seated us at table by the windows so had an excellent view of road below and diagonally across street was The Footprint Arena and Chase Field was a couple blocks away. Had a burger and onion rings. Both were excellent. Even though a number of restaurants in area, we ate there a couple nights later and had a brisket sandwich (without the bun) and it was excellent. Husband had the crispy ribs starter and they were pretty good but rub was on sweet side. As the name suggests, the bar wall was stocked with any kind and every kind of bourbon/whiskey cost ranging from $$ to $$$$. Thought food prices were a couple dollars cheaper than the restaurant located below on ground level. Would recommend if in area. read more

Second time here and the food has been great both times. First time had a bit of a fly issue, literally lots of flies at our table. Random stuff happens okay no worries maybe I forgot deodorant, second time a month later flies still present and now the A/C is out! Normally would have been 100 degrees but it rained the night before and was only 85 great breeze and another stellar burger. When we told the manager it took 30 minutes to get our apps and we already waited another 60+ minutes with no food, his response was, "what do you want me to do about it?" I guess I can go check on it." It was unreal. The server was super nice but had too many tables. The apps we got were delicious but unfortunately after being there nearly two hours we had to leave (to go to a show) and we left without getting our entrées.
