Cute, unique speakeasy in downtown! I love the pho restaurant downstairs, and if the vibes are right, I usually try to stop by upstairs for a quick drink too. It can get pretty busy, but I've been pretty lucky the last few times I went with getting a seat, although I know that's not necessarily the same case for others. They have a variety of creative and unique drinks on their menu. My friends and I love the nuóc mát, a refreshing cocktail with longan and hints of jasmine. My only complaint would be that I wished they'd use fresh fruit instead of frozen, but the flavor still soaks through the drink well. I also always recommend the khoa was here drink when taking friends for the first time! It's a shot of Jameson with a cup of pho broth as chase, and it's a totally unique experience I haven't seen anywhere else. The two actually pair beautifully well together! I came here with a friend and we both loved it. I ordered the firefly and then the green tea martini. My friend tried the cà phê tini and the queen bee. All the drinks were delicious but my fave might've been my friend's cà phê tini! I'm already thinking about the next time I'm here so I can order one for myself. :-) We also got the cua dip which came with toasted baguette pieces, crackers, and pickled veggies. For food, I ordered the Pho Cup and dumplings and for drinks I had the Salted Egg and Tofu Martini. The pho is the same as the noodles downstairs and as a result is delicious and perfect on a dark gloomy Seattle evening. The dumplings had a very savory pork filling wrapped around a boba-like wrapper--delicious and unique! Both drinks were great, but I highly recommend trying the tofu martini. I love Asian inspired cocktails, and when I traveled to Seattle by myself, this bar popped up on Yelp and it instantly spoke to me. I popped in on a Saturday night at 6pm, and when I walked in, I told one of the employees I was here for the bar, and I was directed up a set of stairs. The area upstairs probably seats like 12-15 people. There's not really standing room. I think most of the seats were filled when I arrived. I ordered the ca phe tini (tasted like a real Vietnamese coffee) and immediately fell in love with the drink. I also ordered the dua dua, and I liked it, but not as much as the ca phe tini. The cooking water was refreshing and sweet (definitely for those for like juice and dislike the taste of alcohol). The egg coffee struck a good balance between sweet and bitter, and was overall super rich. Phocific standard time (PST) is located inside Pho Bac on the 2nd floor. I will recommend going early as it is limited seating if you don't want to wait. They have unique cocktails and definitely get your money worth with their drinks as every drink taste very strong; personally a light drinker. Came here after seeing the Seattle Times article. It's a small intimate bar tucked away upstairs from pho bac. We came on a Thursday night which was nice as it wasn't very crowded. I had the pho fat washed Japanese whiskey with salted egg which tasted like a well balanced silty old fashioned with a slight hint of umami. It was very nice but all of the standout ingredients didn't really stand out as much as you would think. I also had the Viet martini which was very nice and I think even better than the whiskey drink I had. The Viet coffee martini was a little too much on the sweet side. We ordered the tapioca dumplings which were really good. The shrimp and crab dip was a bit heavy but you could taste the bits of shrimp which was nice. We ordered the banh mi but unfortunately they forgot about it and by the time we realized, it was already past 9, meaning no banh mi or pho from the kitchen. Overall, I would say this is a cool place with an inventive take on cocktails that highlights Vietnamese ingredients which are usually ignored in favor of more in vogue asian food cultures like Japanese and Korean. The food was pretty good also. Just wish we were able to try more. I would definitely take out of towners here for a drink. read more

The staff are very friendly, and are very meticulous when it comes to their drinks. It's a small menu, which I feel makes it perfect. Often times I feel like places who try to run a large menu just over complicate things. Having a little over a handful of really good drinks with distinctive flavors really takes the pressure off of menu searching! I was not impressed by their drinks or ambiance. For starters it is hard to get in because it is so popular, so you have to put your name on the list and then wait a while. Once you manage to get in, it feels very unpolished and cramped inside which I usually don't care about if the food/drinks are phenomenal. However, the drinks were not fantastic, too sweet and not complex enough for me. Maybe its what I ordered but overall it is not worth the trek or the hype for me. FINALLY went to @pst.seattle and was catching up with a friend telling her about the amazing tulle section that I saw in the costume shop at Seattle Opera then this happened lol We were in the cute bar upstairs called Phocific Standard Time which is nominated for the James Beard Award they don't accept reservations but we went in right at 5pm and there was no wait..however around 5.30pm there were no seats at the bar so would suggest getting there at 4:57pm like we did cuz we're smart and also don't like waiting lol Yes the golden tulle was delicious & had jewel tones sooo pretty in the light really loved the golden hour cocktail with the golden tulle. I did drop the golden tulle on the floor but they were nice to give me another one even though I didn't ask plus they use stainless steel straws which is better for the environment than plastic. The guys were happy with their asian beers and whisky sips. The cocktail specialties were fun & creative. I loved this place so much, from the ambience to the decor. It was so chill but fun. Super cute speakeasy bad on the top of pho bac. Saw the Jameson shot with pho broth on tiktok and heard about it from a friend so I had to give it a try! The Jameson is washed with pho fat which gave it a deeper smoky flavor. The broth that was used to chase it with was fattier than normal broth and the taste of it was amazing!!! Comparable to San Jose CA viet food broth. Also got the banh bot loc appetizer which was really good. The vibes of the place were super cute. This is a nice cocktail lounge located inside Pho Bac -- my understanding is that it is essentially it's own business and is not the same ownership as the restaurant they are located in. Once you enter Pho Bac you go up the stairs to the right and through a beaded curtain. Once inside you have a smaller horseshoe shaped bar. They serve fancy cocktails and a small menu of snacks as well as offering some Pho from the downstairs restaurant (my understanding is that they basically buy it from the restaurant and re-serve it). The bartender was nice and the cocktails ($13-$20) were good. I only tried one item off the menu, the Banh Bot Loc, described as "chewy tapioca dumplings" with an option of either a pork/shrimp filling or a mung bean filling (6 for $10). I wasn't really sure what to expect. They came singly wrapped in banana leaves. Once you unwrapped the leaves, there was a small very sticky dumpling that you could eat with a dipping sauce. These were an interesting experience but I'm not sure I would order them again or if I really liked them that much to be honest. read more

It was confusing finding as it was inside a pho restaurant so wasn't sure to wait for the waiters in the pho restaurant to lead us up upstairs or if we were okay to head up ourselves. Communication on their system could use improvement so customers may be less confused on the seating/waitlist system but they're new. Gave speakeasy vibes and definitely a small, cozy, intimate space. About 12 chairs at the counter bar and 8 chairs (4 tables), so they are limited in space. Came on a Thursday night around 6 and was packed, came in right before they started the waitlist luckily but noticed the groups could have wait times between 30-40 mins! The drinks themselves were great, the bartender was very experienced and the drinks had unique and innovative flavors that would be hard to find elsewhere. Cooling water cocktail was very refreshing and light, perfect starting or ending drink. The pandan cocktail was very mezcal forward but enjoyable with the pandan flavor combination. Coconut cocktail was sweet and creamy(not heavy) and had what tastes like sago for texture. The price point was reasonable for the type of flavors, presentation and innovation that goes into each drink. I've had far worse cocktails costing more sadly! Appetizers were great! Perfect with booze, the tofu dip was nice, creamy and cheesy but had texture from the broccoli and side of pickled vegetables and crackers/bread. Good Vietnamese street food apps. There is a parking garage close by with about 6-8 dollars for 2 hrs we stayed so not expensive. Came up after eating dinner at the shared restaurant below (I would definitely recommend it for top-notch pho). We had to wait a little under 10 minutes for seating to open up. Side note: there's an iPad on the left pillar at the top of the stairs to check in for the waitlist for the bar. It can be hard to find. But the drinks were tasty. I really love their use of pandan. I've never had the flavor come across so clean and fresh before. You should definitely ask for their special pandan shot (not on the menu) for a little extra burst in fun. Ambiance could be better and they could invest a little in decor but that was the only downside. We even got to meet with the owner and she was pleasant and told us about the business and their shared business The Boat.
