I have been coming here for many years and I love it the food is delicious and the service has always been amazing.

My family and I have been going for years! Tonight was by far our worst experience. There was a bug in our food. The server took the egg rolls which had the bug on the plate off but I did not even get to eat my food because I found the bug before I got the chance to eat, but my family had already consumed some of the food! I ended up paying $40 dollars for two plain pho's, a side of noodles and an order of egg rolls with a bug on the food. Before we left we talked to the waiter and he said, "we do not have a manager and if you have an issue leave a yelp review." So here we are, we do not recommend this place anymore. read more

I wanted some place quick and I wasn't craving pho. I wanted vermicelli so I decided to come here. Most pho restaurants offer bun thit nuong. I looked at the menu and I ordered the grilled pork, egg roll and shrimp vermicelli. When it comes to Vietnamese food, I'm a little picky. So here's my thoughts. Fish sauce. Bland. Average to below average at best. If you make a dipping sauce, you need to make it a bit saltier and somewhat spicy. Garlic and lime are a must. However, if the fish sauce is to be used to pour into the vermicelli, you need to make it a bit sweeter, with garlic and spice. It has to be salty enough so that when you pour into your bowl, it should flavor the noodles and especially the vegetables. This place made a generic brand fish sauce and it wasn't even enough to flavor the bowl. Vermicelli. Average. The quality of this dish is determined by the vegetables and grilled pork. The grilled pork wasn't that impressive. It was edible, but nothing special. For the vegetables, it had some bean sprouts but way too much lettuce. I don't recall eating any tia to, mint, or other leafy Vietnamese vegetables. Based on this one dish, I gave it a three stars. I would give it a four stars (maybe the pho is better) but for the price being over $10, I was expecting something better. At least there was a little free dessert afterward. I had not been to Pho 2000 in about 5 years. Back then it was top notch. Now, not so much. Prices, super inflated. A lemonade was $5.25. That's water, sugar and lemon juice for $5.25. The oxtail pho was $17.99. Mostly broth with a handful of noodles and a small serving of oxtail on the side. The pho broth was very bland. Nothing compared to what I remember it tasting like. Ordered two phos - #1 & #2 on a Wednesday night. Soup was salty to the point where we couldn't eat it or taste any other flavor. I hate complaining at restaurants but something had to be addressed to the service staff because it was really bad. It wasn't salt saltiness, but MSG salty - as if they had been boiling the soup on high heat for too long. Tried adding our water in our soup and it was still inedible. When I brought it to the older lady server's attention, she tried to remedy the situation by asking us to trash some of our soup in the bowl and brought us a bowl of hot water. I let her know that we had already added our drinking water to the soup and didn't want to add more as it would compromise the whole flavor. She offered to remake with more water but I know they were just going to add more water to it so we refused and asked for the check. There was another older Vietnamese man on shift as well and I could overhear her telling him about the saltiness complaint but he never came to address the issue or provide a solution. We paid full price, which came out to be over $50 after taking two bites of the pho. We also ordered a summer roll which we finished but the peanut sauce was really salty as well so we used sriracha instead. Biggest waste of our money and we're not even full and don't have other options to eat now. This place used to be decent but it's gone downhill. Never coming back nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Another table eating across the room from us asked for hot water too, and I watched them pour the water in their pho as well...... We will usually go to Pho Tasty but it was packed. This place used to be a decent backup. Prices have been jacked up recently like everywhere else but it's exorbitant here, at least 25-50% than other pho restaurants. The pho noodles were mushy and old. For a pho restaurant you can't mess that up. Crispy fried noodles with chicken had some very dry breast, like over-boiled and then left out to dry, basically inedible.
