Absolutely amazing pho!! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! Our new favorite place. We will definitely be back.

The food and prices are good. The owners must not care about their employees. More than twice I have gone to eat there and there will only be one employee taking care of the entire front end. Every time we have gone in there seems to be a new employee that is clueless about the menu. read more

Have never tried this type of food before. Decided to give it a try and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The egg rolls were cold inside. The dish I ordered was bland and tasted horrible. I told the waitress that I did not like it and she took it back and said she would bring me something else. Then she returned and said her manager would not let her replace it or take it off our bill. My husband and grandchildren didn't like their food either. The rice was clumpy and bland. So needless to say I paid for disgusting food. The waitress was kind and apologetic so I will give them one mercy star but i will never return and intend to tell everyone I know to never go there. read more

For being my first time here, I was really impressed. I've been to quite a few Vietnamese restaurants and I was very surprised by the amount of chicken that was in my pho, some places are kinda stingy with the meats when you order the soup. Cool thing about here, is they actually give a choice of a small or large bowl, which is good for the lighter eater or kids. Our waitress was the only one there and she never missed a beat, keeping up with all tables and super nice while doing it too. read more

This is my first time trying anything like this and I really enjoyed it!! great customer service and they worked fast food came out about 10-15 minutes after we ordered! definitely coming back read more

Ordered take out for the family and the portions were great! Broth had a good flavor, bbq pork was well seasoned (and served with all the proper sides), and priced pretty fairly. Growing up eating Asian food in Houston has made me biased towards most of what is offered out here so for there being a pretty good Pho restaurant near our house is amazing. Definitely will be back (gotta finish our leftovers first) Thanks! read more

The prices are reasonable. My roommate got one of their phos, believe their house speciality one which had good flavor, and was a lot of food for the price. That being said we ordered the fried springs rolls, which i was expecting a normal spring roll just with fried shrimp instead of boiled or sauteed right?! Nopeee was legit a shrimp wrapped up and thrown in the deep fryer and thats it. I got the beef sandwhich nothing special... it was super dry, small hoogie roll that made it taste mainly like dry bread. Needs some sauces or more vegetables to give it more flavor and texture. So for pho one of the better places in the area but the rest for my experience was eh okay at best. read more

Amazing Food ! Amazing Service! This is the place to be! The food was a good portion, had lunch for the next day. The fried rice is better than any restaurant in the area. Pork Chops and Cornish hen were delicious and not same same old. Young men Who are serving are attentive, polite, and a great addition. Someone Is doing something Right! I would recommend to anyone and I never right a review unless I'm disappointed! read more

We got our meals to go. I had the Pad Thai and my husband had the Pho. We both really enjoyed our meals and the service was friendly and fast. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. Hair in food. No soap in men's or women's restroom or toilet paper. When brought to the attention of staff the guy said they didn't have anymore and didn't seem to care too much. They didn't bring out my daughters food. The place smelled like ass. It's like damn dude y'all just opened back in January and y'all are already like this? Get new management. This place absolutely blows. read more

Pretty disappointed with my first experience here. Ordered the grilled pork sandwich to-go and when I got home I realized they had just placed the sandwich into a paper bag. Had they wrapped the sandwich in aluminum foil my sandwich might have still been warm but unfortunately it was cold and most of the substance had fallen out. Hope they are able to figure out a better way to serve to-go orders. read more

New Vietnamese restaurant in Kyle that won't last ! Met up with family last Saturday night and They only had 1 employee up front who was the hostess, waitress, bus person, cashier which made for a long evening I can't believe this owner is so freaking cheap , I'm surprised he didn't make her the cook as well , as far as the food it was disgusting and smelt like burnt rubber ,from now on when I drive by this place I'm shooting it the middle finger with a couple swear words read more

I've been to this place three times now. I have to say up front, the food is GOOD but the experience is not. Our first visit, we were told that they only served sweet tea. That has since changed and they have gotten wise and put unsweetened tea on the menu; however they have a hard time keeping sweeteners on the tables. The wait staff doesn't know anything about the menu and has to ask the kitchen for answers on everything. Several times we've asked for minor substitutions such as changing chicken to tofu or changing the type of meat in a stir fry. One time we were told no subs at all for the curry and the second time, we were given the requested substitution with no problems, the third time (the very next day), we were told it would cost an extra $2.00 to have bbq pork instead of plain pork. These were not more expensive proteins so really should not have been an extra charge. That kind of nickel and diming is very unattractive and keeps me from wanting to return. Two separate times, the waiters sat in the booth behind us chatting while we had to wave vigorously to get their attention. Where is the management for the wait staff? Were these guys given any training at all? Again, as other reviews have said several times, the food is very good. The Pho broth is good and not too salty. The fried rice is terrific and the fried egg rolls are addictive. It will really be a shame if they can't get their act together and this place goes down because they really have a promising cook. They need better management! read more

SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! The past couple of times that we have gone there the servers have been rude and terrible. This last time I was in there the server checking me out for my to go order was rude to me so I left a zero tip. Now I understand that servers work off of tips, however when you are rude consistently I will show that in the tip! As I was leaving the server addressed me saying that I should've left a tip. This is not how you talk to people at all. Will never be coming here again. Sucks because the food was amazing but the service trumped the food. read more

Food was good but I have had better. I had the bun with grilled pork was good but could have been better with different fish sauce. The rolls with the peanut sauce tasted like they were made yesterday not fresh. Other than that it was good. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday around 6. The dining room was very cozy and clean. The serving sizes are huge, our waiter was very attentive and nice and the broth is better than the other pho place over by HEB. Our new go to pho spot. Thanks Pho 99! read more

The food is good but the waiters never come back to check on you. I felt rushed out as I was still eating my food and the waiter comes and goes "I'll bring you a box and the check." They also never refill any of our drinks. The only time they come to you is when they bring you the check. I would rather call over the phone and pick food up than sit down and dine in. read more

I was driving through Kyle, hungry, so I did a quick Yelp search like I usually do, and found Pho 99. They already had great reviews so I was expecting quite a lot, and they exceeded my expectations. Service was great, and the pho was the best I've ever had with loads of meat. Thank you.. read more

Well I looked up their website so I could see what they were all about. I may be ignorant for assuming that would have Vietnamese food based on their name. I looked up their menu and they only had non Vietnamese options so I called... and that was awful they had no clue menu options where limited online the person operating their phone lacked basic manners and customer service and could not explain the menu. When I informed them I would not be placing an order they hung up on me. Well great way to show up as a new business in a small community. read more

Got the Pad Thai with chicken and beef- specifically asked for no shrimp. When I picked up my order, I checked the box and there was shrimp, so they took it back to remake it. I also asked to make sure it wouldn't be spicy and they assured me that it was not. Well, my food tastes like shrimp and is so spicy I can barely eat it. I will not be returning and would not recommend. read more

Wanted to try a new place tonight and so glad we picked Pho 99. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh and the servings huge. Staff were very attentive. Nice clean place. Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. read more

Really good food, reasonable prices, nice waiter but the service was terrible! Only one person running the entire front end... Taking phone orders and doing takeout, seating customers, taking all drink and food orders, delivering drinks and food, handling checks and payments, AND left to clear the tables! We arrived to five dirty tables, and then waited 15 minutes to order through no fault of the waiter. When we left there were 7 tables of customers and 7 dirty tables. People came in, stood waiting, and left. Kyle really can love this food choice but management needs to not run off business by failing to provide more than ONE PERSON up front to do EVERYTHING. WOW. JUST WOW. I thanked the waiter, gave a good tip, told him we understood his predicament, and wished him well. Might try again in a month or two... Sad to leave a bad review. Hope it helps! read more

Been here twice, food wasn't bad but they seem to be struggling with staffing. It's never open on time and periodically has handwritten "we're closed signs. Owner needs to get staffed or they'll close. read more

Service was great. Tofu Spring rolls fresh and tasty. Good sauce too. Vegetable and tofu noodle soup tasted great. But needed more vegetables. Overall great experience. Please have more vegetarian options available. And you'll definitely see me more often. read more

Tried Pho 99 for the first time after reading some reviews, I was definitely not disappointed. Service was great and food was delicious. So glad Kyle has a new Vietnamese place that is worth going to. read more

I like the food from this restaurant, however I try to get it to go. I would give a better rating if I could get them to answer the phone so I could place my to go order. When I get there I tell them and they say their phone hasn't been ringing. This happens almost every time. read more

the food is awesome and the prices are good but no one ever answers the phone for takeout. They are understaffed and as a result of the 20 times we have carried out another 5 times we just gave up and ordered elsewhere since no one answered the phone. Try it out in person before ordering takeout otherwise you might never get to try it. read more

The food has been good, first time I was in, it was nice and well kept. Tonight i saw numbers on the wall with past numbers ripped off that made the place look trashy. On top of that, i walked in at 7 and ordered. I knew they closed at 8 tonight but witnessed one guy turned away at 7:15. What's more, a couple and one more single guy walked in and they too were turned away at 7:30! The couple even asked if they closed at 8 which they did and she said no. If I was the business owner, I'd be pissed. So, if you wanna eat on a Sunday when they close at 8, be there by 7 at the latest or else you're SOL. Bad customer service in my book. That was easily and extra $100 turned away. read more

I really dont know why people say this is good. The food was mediocre and the service sucked. They have one waiter. A person we were with said they were not happy with the food. The waiter said "well he ordered it" I switched a drink from tea because it didnt taste good, to Dr. Pepper and they charged me for another drink. Also, the table was dirty when we first came in. The roof was leaking onto our table. The other Pho place in town is much better tasting with better service. My son ordered a sandwich, waiter said they were out of the sandwiches. We had to wait for silverware to be washed before we could eat. It wasn't packed in there so I don't understand lack of silverware. Everyone in our party felt overwhelmingly sick after eating here. read more

Just had lunch here for the first time today. Friendly waiter, nice clean comfortable dining room. There's an extensive menu with a big variety of dishes. We started out with flavorful Shrimp Spring Rolls with a tasty peanut sauce. I had a "small" Seafood Pho and my husband enjoyed a "small" Meatball and Flank Steak Pho. Both were great! The small size is sort of misleading, since the large seemed big enough to feed three people. We'll definitely be back and working our way through the menu. We're so glad they're here and we don't have to run all the way into Austin for a pho fix. read more

My husband and I tried this place after having an awful experience at the other local pho place in Kyle. Pho 99 was significantly better, but still didn't meet our hopeful expectations. We ordered water to drink and it had an awful taste to it, so we ordered Thai Tea... which tasted oddly like strong smoking tobacco to us both! We have had Thai tea elsewhere/before and it hasn't tasted like this... so we weren't sure if it was just a fluke or what. The chicken was amazing! The broth was so flavorful and the chicken delicious. My husband ordered the special pho and it had a ton of fatty pieces in it that he didn't particularly care for. Overall, it was an okay experience. Not sure if we will frequent this place, but we may come back in a couple months to see if the staff has worked some of the kinks out. We love local and we love pho, so we wish for the best for Pho 99 in Kyle! read more

Really liked it! I got the Grilled Chicken with Vermicelli and added egg rolls. Yum... It hit the spot! I will try to get a photo next time. They have just opened, so they still have some organizing to do with staff and storage but the food is tasty/fresh and to me that is what counts. I got there a little after 2pm for a late lunch and was served quickly. read more

Tried to short change me. Very unprofessional. Integrity is everything. I had to wait 5 minutes while they tried to find change. I offered to pay with a card instead. They just wanted my money. She tried to give me $20 back after I handed her $40. This place is a total joke. Don't waste your time or money. The shrimp vermicelli was a joke. They gave me a pound of vermicelli with 4 tiny shrimps. read more

So far so good! I came by during opening weekend and am so glad the their pho is DELICIOUS, unlike Pho Thaison, yuck! But I can't wait to come back and see how the rest of their menu is! read more

Great food but terrible customer service. The place is family owned and the kitchen is phenomenal. Unfortunately they have their kids run the phones and the counter. My order is hardly ever correct. They don't know the menu and have bad attitudes about it. I used to spend $50 per week here and have stopped giving them my business all together. read more

Vegan pho was awesome along with the tofu. Going back again today! So glad to have Pho 99 Asian Cuisine here in Kyle :) Price is right, too! Sayonara, Pho Thaisson, your service was HORRIBLE. I tend to think that they were the ones writing the bad reviews about Pho 99, which is about HALF the price of Pho Thaisson, who wanted the tip BEFORE you got your food, and if it was small, so was the serving. read more

The peanut sauce for the spring rolls had a tangy flavor to it that I couldn't identify nor belongs in peanut sauce. The pork chop was super salty and tough. The spring rolls appeared to be old and the rice paper was hard. Was not my favorite Vietnamese food. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered two phos. I got a Tofu and vegetable pho that came with two or three tiny cubes of tofu. Now let's be clear , tofu is a very cheap ingredient and to put an entire block of the yummy soy into the pho would be less than a dollar. My waitress dropped the food off and ignored my twenty minutes of staring, and refused to come to the table. The woman seeming to be in charge was very loud as she visited each table in a row very far from calmly which was very off putting. She loudly yelled goodbye to a customer from where the cash register is located. A customer behind me waited a solid ten minutes before he stood up to give the hidden waitress his ticket. The man who seemed to be the owner sat in the corner and watched as all of these events occurred. The manager walked around asking customers after their meal to write a good review for a free pho and not a bad one, which makes most of the reviews biased and unreliable. The 5 not recommended reviews are much more accurate. When I go out for pho I would prefer the Asian experience. A typically quiet setting with soft music and waitresses watching for the customers needs before they feel they need to come ask. After bringing my dissatisfaction of the food to the waitresses attention I received only a less than 20% discount rather than not paying for the food I did not want to eat. We will not be returning....PhoThaison is less than five minutes away I'd suggest you just go there. read more

The first visit was good. The food was good. We decided to go again but the service was horrible. February 2 at 5pm. Not busy both of the waitresses different times asked for our drink orders we asked for water. Never got water as we watched them serve everyone else. I know it's new but they need some supervision. We left to go get pizza. They watched us leave with no apologizes at all. Again the food was good when we ate there the first time. read more

A hidden gem in Kyle, a really clean and peaceful place to sit down by yourself or with friends, I got the Pho99 special Large soup and I was amazed at how huge the portions are for how cheap it was. The workers and service are really nice and the food tastes authentic. Strongly recommend!! read more
