Have been going here for over 10 years. Love this place and they never disappoint. Staff is very nice and work quickly. This will always be my favorite comfort food!! Thank you.

61. Beef with Egg Loaf and Rice

Pretty solid Pho spot in the UV plaza. I had one of their rice dishes with charbroiled beef since it was a hot day. I was impressed with the portion size and the quality! The beef was delicious and the egg and fish sauce was great as well. The only gripe I had was that the rice was a bit clumpy but not a big deal. Good service and convenient location. Interior is a bit outdated and I don't think the AC was running. But still a good option close to campus.

one of the dirty dishes, built up yellow stuff on fork and it smelt terrible !

TERRIBLE!! -10 every single dish was dirty & the boba was falling apart, it looked old !

Not a bad place if you're craving a bowl of pho. They have a big selection of Vietnamese food that range from broken rice dishes to even pho. Always ate here growing up and still has the quality I like in their food. Service was friendly and the ambiance is very homie with a nice Vietnamese man making sure we have water and food ready within minutes of sitting down.

There was a roach on the floor while i was here and no one was in the restaurant to greet customers. Health Inspection needs to come here

It's been a while since our last visit. We recently gave it another try and I stand corrected. I appreciate that they changed the receipts to an itemized list of what you're paying for. Nothing to hide and out in the open. A complete 180 from a previous visit. The food was soothing. This place hasn't changed in appearance, hard working staff or placement of table condiments. You can reminisce about coming here while you went to college at UCR and years later come back to visit and it'll still be the same place you once remembered. Familiar faces all while enjoying that same great pho. It has once again captured me as a returning customer. So glad to see improvements for the better. With a line formed at the door the continued patronage keeps this place alive and thriving.

took too damn long but dis was lowk bomb as hell like i actually finished the whole bowl too but like lowk the wait was so bad i chewed up a set of chopsticks i was so hungry and the spring rolls were chill but ya

This is my favorite photo place since I was a student ten years ago. Best food with great portion. People are same and nice and friendly. Love this place. I hope this place will last forever

54. Pork chop and charbroiled pork with broken rice AND an egg.

My party and I went into this place for lunch around noon and the parking was as expected with the university nearby. The service was quick and efficient. The booths were a little small and tight, but seemed ok for a quick lunch. We all got the same thing, number 54 with an egg. It was good classic pork chop with an egg a sort of fish sauce? The meal was missing a bit more flavor than I liked, but I'll have to try the other dishes in the future.

Keep in mind they do not take reservations and only seat you (or prepare to seat you once your full party is present) which is totally fair and honestly not that bad of a wait even on Mother's day. The waitress also offered to take our large order ahead of being seated so there would be minimal time waiting for our food over seated which was very thoughtful. Onto the food, YUM! Our table ordered a variety of their vermicelli bowls (short rib, chicken, grilled pork+shrimp), Pho (special combo and brisket), eggrolls, thai iced tea, and vietnamese iced coffee. Everything we ordered was so delicious and there were generous portions of meat in all of our dishes. The fish sauce that came with the vermicelli bowls was super delicious and tasted so much more flavorful than any other Vietnamese restaurant I've dined at. The pho broth was piping hot and tasted so clean and refreshing. Drinks were also great and I honestly loved everything about today's lunch! I will definitely be coming back with my family and my kids loved all of the food (pho and vermicelli) too!

We got brisket pho and combo pho and it was delicious! Portions were very fair for the price. Love that they also included an additional plate of all the toppings to add. Restaurant itself is very air conditioned and clean. Soft music playing in the background, we would definitely be back! Just popped in because we were driving through. Main emphasis here is on their BROTH. They lean on a very aromatic broth (maybe extra clove??) but it was soooo nice. Paired so well with everything. Highly recommend for their pho!

My husband's beef banh mi was a joke. It was so light and there were two pieces of meat not even overlapping. That's an insult. Pork spring rolls were ok nothing special and peanut sauce was not thick enough very runny and not enough meat. The two spring rolls were long so maybe appearance was good. Vietnamese coffee came in a 8 ounce cup but mainly all ice to the realm. I got two sips. Could hardly understand that guy. Ambiance was nice. The food kinda made me sick. My husband ended throwing the sandwich away.

Parking is tough especially around dinner time…read more The place has a cool decor with murals of old Hollywood but the lighting is dark and dreary. Service was extremely slow for it not being busy. They were a bit stingy on the lemon wedges and veggies. There were three of us and we ordered three bowls of Pho. We got one small plate of veggies and two lemon wedges. When we asked for more lemons, waiter looked over at our table to make sure we actually needed more lemons. When we asked for a sauce plate/cup, he looked bothered. Well next time just put little sauce plates on the table and we wouldn't have to ask you to get it. Like how do they not know people like to dip their meats in Siracha and Hoison sauce. Not everyone just pours it into the bowl. When we ordered our Pho, we also ordered a Banh Mi sandwich as a to go order. At the end of our meal, my wife went to pay and the check included the price with the sandwhich. She paid and asked how long the sandwich would take, they said, "what sandwich!" Uh, the one we just paid for. Cashier looked confused and asked to see the receipt. Then he went to the back and asked about the sandwich. We could hear someone in the back saying they didn't make a sandwich. Cashier apologized and we waited another 12 minutes for the sandwich. Pho was actually good but a bit on the pricey side. $20 for the Dac Biet. Next time we'll just go to Pho Ha down the street for better noodles at a cheaper price and they won't charge you for a sandwich that doesn't exist.

The pho was the better of the two. I liked the vegan spiced beef meatballs but the airy and light fried tofu in the pho didn't feel texturally comparable to sliced beef in pho. I also didn't feel like there was enough protein in the bowl, since normally pho is packed with a variety of different meats. The flavor of the soup was nice and the amount of noodles was satisfactory as well. The banh mi was not so good. I liked the crinkle cut radish and carrots but that's about all. The sliced beef meatballs and the fried tofu again didn't really evoke the taste and texture of meat in a banh mi, and the protein was basically just a few thin non-overlapping slices per section of the sandwich. The worst offender-- the sandwich was dry. Vegan should mean vegan mayo, not no mayo at all. It was sooooo dry. I had to take it home and add my own mayo. I don't hate this restaurant, and I really appreciate the willingness to incorporate a vegan friendly menu. However, the pho and banh mi missed the mark for me. I think I'd just order different items next time, like some of the saucy stir fry plates instead.
