Love the fact that I used to wash my work van here. If you're looking for a true hole in the wall that serves amazing food you won't be disappointed. The parking is lean and there isn't a ton of seating, but the quality of the food and service is very much worth it. They make their Pho like it should be made, no bullion or oily ingredients, just clean broth and fresh ingredients. I have been eating here for more than 10 years and have never had a bad meal. Service was beyond exceptional!! The lady working the front is so kind and friendly. Immediately my fiance and I as we walked in we were greeted right away and our table was getting cleaned for us to get seated. We got an array of dishes. Shrimp and pork spring roll, banh mi sandwich, flame grilled beef with rice and a bun bo hue spicy. I loved how delicious this location prepares their bun bo hue. Five star rating for the Pho. Disregard how the place looks from the outside because the food will be worth it. When you get inside, the decor is a little better. Service is nice and attentive. I usually get combination with everything in it whenever I get pho. This place has five star rating pho. The broth is authentic and hot. They give good amounts of noodles and protein as well as a nice plate of sprouts and garnishes. It is very filling and great for any hot or cold day. The spring rolls are also fresh and light. It comes with a delicious dipping sauce which complements the rolls well. The bubble tea is pretty standard and good for a sweet dessert. This is my mom's favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver so she brought me here for my first time after a whole day of intense shopping (Christmas time yo!). Although it was super cold outside, I was craving some bun (vermicelli noodles, non-soup) and I'm glad I opted for that because not only was it delicious, IT'S HUGE!! It seems like the portions for all their entrees are big, which is fine by me! I got the grilled pork/shrimp/egg roll bun which came with all the veggies, peanuts, and sauce for $8.95. The pork was perfectly marinated and grilled, the shrimp was good too but regarding the egg roll...I've definitely had better. My mom ordered this "make your own" spring roll set where you get rice paper, all the innards for a spring roll (noodles, lettuce, mint, sesame leaves, bean sprouts, cucumber, and meat of choice; mom got the pork patty), and the coolest little "water bath" contraption where you dip your rice paper into hot water to "cook" it before wrapping! For less than $10, it was A LOT of food. What's neat about this is that you put exactly what you like in the exact portions. I think it came with 6 rice papers (pretty sure you can order more) and we had plenty of filling leftover that we took it home and made more! HAHA :D The pork patty is fantastic! It tastes similar to the grilled pork in my bun but a tad sweeter, which was yummy in the spring roll. What a fun way to make + eat your food? Interestingly, this place closes really early (7pm), which is right around dinner time. We came in around 6:50pm, yet they took our order and we didn't feel rushed at all! Service was great and our waitress was kind and even told us where we can buy the little water bath for the rice paper! Prices are definitely reasonable, considering the portion size is HUGE. Probably the best pho ever!!! The small pho bowl is the perfect ratio of noodles/broth/protein and their boba smoothies are soooo bomb!!! Carb overload but hey whatever!! Every time we went (we went around 4-5pm 3x in one week) they were out of boba! I love Vietnamese food and have tried out Vietnamese restaurants from Vancouver B.C. all the way down the west coast to San Diego. In fact, as a teenager I even worked at a Vietnamese restaurant for a summer! This little place is an amazing secret that more and more people are finding out about. Located in a funky little building next to an auto shop and gritty Zumba studio it's easy to pass and not even know it. When a friend invited me here 5 years ago I was pretty unimpressed until I tried the food. Wow! It seriously rivals the best Vietnamese restaurants. The food is fresh and flavorful. The Pho is cooked right with hearty broth and stock full of meat. The chicken cabbage salad and grilled chicken salad is amazing. Same thing with the salad rolls. Over time the interior has become a nice little place and has better ambiance than most. And, very friendly and fast service. Definitely recommend!! read more

I Love this place. Again, it is a bit sketchy from the outside, but nice and clean inside. They just put together a brand new menu that shows lots of pictures of all the different menu items. And there are alot. My favorite dish here is the 1E, a vermicelli noodle salad w/grilled pork shoulder, shrimp, shredded pigskin and an egg roll. Their egg rolls are really good. The 1E also comes with lots of fresh vegetables, so darn good!!! A Must try! I'll order pho every now and then, it's decent. But when I want pho, there are better places in the area. I've been here several times now. Generally, when heading out for Vietnamese, I head for one item, the Pho. My typical "in a hurry, gotta grab a quick bite" Vietnamese lunch is as follows: I order the Salad Rolls and a Large Pho Tai Nam. To that end, Pho Ton is good eating. The salad rolls typically have large shrimp packed tip to tail (no shells of course), and include the typical peanut sauce on the side. The Pho itself is about average (which is to say, you'll get about what you expect). The meat can sometimes be a bit dry, but is usually reasonably flavorful. The broth is okay--in all, a reasonably good bowl of soup, especially on a wet and windy Northwest Winter day. One thing that stood out in my last visit was that alongside the typical side dish of bean sprouts and basil came three or four beautiful large leaves of Thai cilantro. This was a really nice touch and flavored the soup quite nicely. It's unusual to see places serve cilantro on the side as Pho Ton does and it's wonderful tearing it to bits and tossing it into the broth as I do the basil. In past visits, I've also had a Taro bubble tea. Not bad, up there with some of the better bubble teas I've tasted. If you're a Boba-lover, definitely add this to your list of places to swing through and grab one. In all, perfectly decent place to grab a quick bowl of Pho, typically in and out in 25 minutes. read more

Pho Ton 4 may come very close tho since the owners of both restaurants are sisters, but I prefer PT1 because the staffs in PT4 are naive. If you come here during lunch time, don't even bother finding a parking spot because you won't find one. Go to the parking lot of the small mall next to it and park there. Also, don't expect to be treated like god when they are busy. The restaurant is understaffed. Wait to be seated, order food and be patient. Other food and Ph here are decent, but Bún Bò Hu is topclass. read more

Ok, love, love, love this place! I am Vietnamese hence I am very picky with Vietnamese food. I love their Pho at Pho Ton it is always on point! It come out hot and with plenty of meats. The flavor is always on point not to sweet and not bland. Sometimes they add too much MSG at other joints, mind u, I am Asian so I don't mind a little MSG to bring out the savory in a dish but some places replace the natural bone marrow flavor with MSG. Not here! My favorite thing is that it is consistent, and the owner runs the service her self. She is friendly, fast and efficient. Pho Tom 1 is no nonsense and relative with steadfast customer service. The interior is downhome, menu is extensive with all the greats you'd expect in a Vietnamese restaurant. I've ordered bành mí with a crisp thin baguette and flavorful grilled chicken, could've been amped with more dô chua, with a touch more pickle and crunch. The phô broth is solid and understated, still hitting notes of comfort with cinnamon and so spices in a langorious warmth. Flank and brisket in this location are quite juicy and begin beautifully sliced thin and rare. The vermicelli dishes are a favorite and a standard with grilled pork chops at the tangy charred savory that hits a tactful balance of salty sweet. For drinks, their avocado and jackfruit smoothies are staples I would have every summer day if my body could tolerate that much sugar and that much childhood nostalgia. So a few of my favorite things about Pho Ton 1: -The dining room is clean, inviting and comfortable. -The customer service is very warm, friendly and efficient. -The Vietnamese sandwiches are gorgeous, the portions are generous and the pho is exceptional! -I basically live on pho when I'm sick, so I'll usually pick up 2 phos to go, eat one and keep the other in my fridge for the next days lunch and it's still amazing the next day! (This pho is some serious power food if you're looking to kick a cold fast, btw.) -It's hard to find a restaurant in Vancouver that doesn't have several televisions going at once and I am VERY happy to report that Pho Ton has zero T.Vs and is a very peaceful place to grab a relaxing and delicious meal.
