We ordered the boa, pork patty salad rolls, and chicken potstickers which were good. We also got a banh mi sandwich which barely had any meat.. For my entree I got the spicy soup bun Bo hue which was lacking flavor. Our server was very awkward and disappeared into the back after dropping our food off. Just no... I'm sorry. They're open kinda late which is nice but everything was under seasoned. Even the peanut sauce tasted weird. The vermicelli bowl looked fantastic but the meats had no flavour, the spring roll was mushy, the noodles didn't taste fresh. It was just so disappointing despite being so highly rated on google and expensive. Inside the restaurant was just boring, unimaginative and dated. There's broken machinery sitting around. The colour scheme just doesn't feel appetizing at all. I really like this place. It's kind of hidden and out of the way. Once you find it you will be like I have to remember this place and come back. I got the chicken chow mein spicy with salad rolls. The salad rolls automatically come with pork and shrimp where most places charge you to have either. They were delicious. The peanut sauce was not as good as other places and a little runny tho. However, the chow mein was delicious. It even came with mushrooms, celery, carrots, etc. When I need my noodle fix again I will come here. Would give a 3.5 if I could. Stopped by this place on the way home to Seattle. Nice variety of options on their menu. Friend a I both ordered the beef pho (beef based broth for all their pho), and split the fresh rolls and crab Rangoon appetizers. I also ordered the chicken wing appetizer to go. Food was probably closer to a 3, but good, prompt, friendly service, hence my thoughts about giving 3.5 stars if I could. This is one of the few places that serve their salad rolls with warm peanut sauce, and warm peanut sauce makes it 10x better than cold. Never had to wait a long time for my food to come out. As we are passing through to WA State, I wanted a hot bowl of Vietnamese pho in this cold weather. Pho Saigon did not disappoint. I was disappointed a week ago in SoCal where I was served a lukewarm bowl of Pho noodle at a different Vietnamese restaurant but was not good. I was afraid of the same experience again. So was looking to see where to go eat, and a friend accidentally referred us to this place. Lol. The combination noodle bowl was very good. It was steamy hot and the broth was flavorful. BEST PHO IN VANCOUVER! Hands down! This place is a hole in the wall off 4th plain and it's a hidden gem. They shred the chicken, add spices and make authentic bone broth that is super good. I drive all the way from the other side of town just to get this pho! The egg rolls are also super good. If you're a pho lover like me you won't be disappointed! My experience 3 years ago was amazing. Yesterday my experience was terrible. We ordered 3 meals to go. Upon picking up and heading home, we unpackaged every thing it was discovered none of our meat products were cooked. The chef literally tossed red meat in with our food and packaged it to go. Absolutely brilliant little spot. It's not much to look at, meaning it's appearance is very simple; but since I'm easily pleased, and only factor in aesthetic as a bonus, this joint still gets an A++ from me. Service is run by an incredibly kind and humble crew. Salad rolls are perfect! I've tried both shrimp and tofu, and I would recommend the shrimp (my pallet wasn't super inclined to favor the tofu, unless that's your thing). Waters are always refilled, even after you've finished your food and are waiting on your check. They never rush you, and they'll check on you just enough to make sure you're satisfied with what you ordered (which you will be). The pho is PERFECT. I get the chicken pho or round steak, and add veggies. If you ever request to add veggies anywhere, you'd know it's usually 1-2 types of veggies they'll add (and not very much of them-not sure what pricing on vegetables is for pho places, but I've noticed most are kinda stingy with em). Not so with these guys-they added green onion, carrots, broccoli, maybe some celery, and a couple other veggies much to my delight (I like crunch in my soup). I've now been here at least half a dozen times, and the experience is consistent, if not bettered every time. I'll keep coming back-these guys have my business as long as I'm in Vancouver! read more

I will give them this, their meat wasn't over cooked like some other places I have tried, but the broth is lacking spices. All I got was a mouth full of salty water with msg... I am pretty disappointed. I'm usually pretty lenient but for the price and what its worth, I won't be coming back. I mean, the owners and workers are friendly but that's because I sympathize with them. Bo Bun Hue is one of my favorite dishes. They managed to change it into a whole different entire dish. It was nothing like I've ever had. Bo Bun Hue is a delicate broth with an aroma of different spices. Pho Saigon's version was a regular pho but with spices added. I had small bowl of #19, pho with top round steak and well done brisket. We also ordered fresh salad rolls and pot stickers, and I ordered some fresh young coconut juice. All delicious. This place is a total hole-in-the-wall located in a strip mall along side a few other restaurants, a cleaner, an Indian grocer and a magic the gathering store of some sort. I found this place after going to the Indian grocery. I would definitely come again. The pho was delicious. The place was deserted at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I have been here on and off for the last ten years. When I first moved to the Pacific Northwest, I discovered this place because it was the closest Vietnamese restaurant to my apartment. Ten years later I have moved on and made a family for myself. I no longer live close to this restaurant but it still sits on my top destination Vietnamese restaurant I still enjoy today. The drive is at least one hour from my place today but whenever I'm in the Vancouver, Washington area I make an effort to dine here. My favorite meal is the shrimp fried rice [sans the carrots & peas vegetables]. Other than I have enjoyed the banh mi sandwich (much better than my other personal fave banh mi place, Best Baguette). I have also ordered the pho and other plates in the past; but I usually order the shrimp fried rice and my family members allow me to sample their meals as well. The service is always friendly. It has been just about the same employees/owners since my first visit here; not sure if they recognize and give me any "special treatment" (which I highly doubt) but every single visit were well-received with friendly smiles and great service. When I crave pho, this is the pho I crave. Among the most popular locations I've been to is Luc Lac in Portland. I have to say, the pho served at Luc Lac is little in comparison. Most people I bring have never heard of or seen Pho Saigon because it is in a rather run-down area and is tucked inside an old strip mall. The atmosphere is not as posh as many other pho shops, and is usually on the colder side. But it is worth it 100x over. The appearance of the restaurant appears to be unattractive, but don't let it fool you. One of the earliest Pho restaurant I visited when I moved to this area 3 years ago. I probably spend more than $1000 for the food here already. All the dishes here are exceptional. The quality of their Pho comes very close to what you can find in Vietnam. The only thing missing in their bowl of Pho compared to real Vietnamese Pho is the taste of beef blood (Pho in Vietnam has plenty of beef blood in their broth). The portion of food here used to be pretty small, but the owner just increase the size of pho bowl recently. I would come back more often than ever. Shredded pork skin rolls are perfect. Pho Saigon is not the most popular restaurant in Vancouver, and you can tell. I stopped by to try the food but only ordered the large Beef Noodle Soup (Round Steak well cooked). Solid, but I've had better. The broth is important to me, and it had decent flavor and a decent amount of meat, I still found it to be light and not as beefy as other Vietnamese restaurants I've eaten at. Beef meatballs are not included. As much as I wanted to like this place, I found the Pho during my visit here to be only good. I'll give Pho Saigon another shot when I'm in the area again.
