    Chicken pad Thai

I order chicken pad Thai Noodles are super hard to separate they are just clumped into one ball and are hard and the chicken is so dry

Pad Thai chicken with salad rolls
    Robert K.

Came in while I was getting something at the ACE Hardware store in the same parking lot. There were a few people eating in there. The place is wide open and lots of room to move around. The young man took my order of salad rolls and chicken pad thai. The salad rolls were kind of warm. Like not very cold. They had shrimp and chicken in them. The chicken taste a little stale. The peanut sauce was a little runny. They were not wrapped very tightly and the salad roll fell apart on me half way thru eating it. The pad Thai was weird. I don't think they used rice noodles. It was a thicker kind of noodle they used. It tasted ok. Was not really a big fan or it. They do have different sauces for you to take your to go order home like siracha and hoisen sauces. Over all I was not too impressed and definitely had better. Maybe this place is just more of a pho place and not a pad Thai place. Idk.

    Lady bug found in P4.

Service was great, the menu semi bland. The ambiance was quiet with contemporary music. We were having a great time. My wife ordered a P4 (brisket pho). I ordered a P5, and my sons shared a P3. We got an order of the wings and an order of the fried spring rolls. Everything was great until it wasn't. My wife finds this, a lady bug, in her soup. Immediately lost my appetite.

Friendly, bright, clean, quick. Really liked the Bun Bo Hue. Surprised this is found in Battle Ground, and better than many places in Vancouver.

    Beef broth pho with chicken

The ingredients are great quality and fresh!! I tried the pho beef broth with chicken and it was delicious! You get a good amount too. The orange chicken was a bit disappointing as I was expecting the battered and fried version, but it was actually really delicious and moist chunks of chicken cooked in orange juice. Not much flavor and I was a bit disappointed, but again, I appreciated the quality of the chicken. I will definitely be back for pho!!

Salad rolls with peanut sauce and chili paste

I'm not in Battle Ground much, but was happy to find a pho place here. It's tucked away in the parking lot of an Ace Hardware store, near a Dutch Brothers. Don't let the drive thru line scare you off, it's for the coffee shop. The interior is nice with soft music and clean tables, some booths, and nice plants. I started with the salad rolls followed by the special pho. I was a little disappointed when she let me know that they didn't do tripe or tendon in the special pho here. Bummer. But I imagine it might not be to the tastes of a lot of the locals, or maybe it didn't sell well. That being said, here is my review. The salad rolls were very good. Clearly freshly made, tender rice paper, with tender shrimp. The peanut sauce wasn't too sweet, and the chili paste they brought out on request was amazing. Seriously, ask for it. Comes in a silver little pot. It's SO good. The P1 (combination pho) was good. Pretty clear, flavorful broth, tender meats, with fresh greens and herbs to go on top. A very solid experience. Will happily be back next time I'm in town :)

Nice big spacious resturant with a large menu. My son and I got spring rolls and wonton soup with the egg noodles. It was good and definitely worth trying if you're looking for some good soup in Battle Ground.

Salad roll with shrimp, a pork plate and a Vietnamese sandwich with a a Thai tea.

I called the order in ahead of time and that was super easy was only about a 10 to 15 minute wait, which was perfect picked up the food. The customer service is extremely nice. The overall look of the place was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I'll definitely eat in next time, and the food is to die for the tea. Drink was a bit too sweet for me but a little water couldn't fix.

Obsessed with this place. I just wish they were open to eat inside, eating pho take out is such a different experience. :( It's ok though Broth is delicious, meat is yummy and noodles are legit. Rolls are tasty, not too porky The chicken sandwich wasn't good for me because my husband orders it without anything. I'll come back again and again

I have been coming here often and finally writing a review! The salad rolls are $7.50 fresh and huge! We love the Thai tea here, nothing special but very yummy! Now, I come here often for their chicken bahn mi sandwich and I must say it's the best one I've had! The baguette is always so soft and FRESH! And I've had a few bahn mis from different places in San Francisco and San Jose CA, but this one is by far the best! Very tasty! Service is great and staff is always friendly! Lots of space inside but we mainly get to go. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Had some spring rolls and shrimp salad rolls!

The pho was ok. Didn't taste like Vietnamese. Could use more flavor or beef flavor. Beef was hard and chewy

I ordered the Bo Bun Hieu ($15) -- a spicy noodle soup served with vegan beef, tofu, and round noodles, with a very generous side of cabbage, lettuce, and fresh basil to mix in. The broth was very flavourful but prohibitively salty after all. That said, the vegan beef and tofu were really nicely one, and the meal came together well. My wife got the kung pao ($15), which she said was solid but nothing tantalizing flavour-wise. My friend ordered the curry soup, but it seemed more like a curry that you pour over rice since it was served with rice and no noodles -- not sure what the deal was there. The bite I tried was tasty at least. All in all, a solid all-vegan no-frills spot for Vietnamese in the east part of the city.

The grilled octopus with potatoes was good, although slightly overcooked and I didn't get much of the grilled flavor. The flank steak had delicious smoky flavors and an amazing sauce, but we were so full by then that we couldn't finish it! I loved the variety here. I've had 4 years of mostly unremarkable experiences with service in Portland, but Hunter changed all that. He's thoughtful, thinking ahead, smart & an asset to the ambiance. Meanwhile 3/3 items were exceptional, starting with BRISKET EMPANADAS - buttery smoked brisket & ooey gooey fontina studded with tart little golden raisins in a crisp crust - like a cheesy Argentinian gyoza! PAN SEARED SCALLOPS (by the half-order, thank you!) are precisely seared on the outside, sweet & tender on the inside, plated over a creamy sweet corn polenta that contrasts beautifully with the acid in slightly charred, roasted tomatoes. Finally (in traditional European fashion) a FARMERS GREEN SALAD gently dressed in piquant vinegar balanced by mild goat cheese & roasted pine nuts for a smoky crunch. Chef's Counter is lovely, but the space is deceptively large and accommodating with cozy booths and larger rooms - the more, the merrier sharing tapas to go around!

The food was so good it made my day; adding tempeh to the mighty bowl with the garlic and tahini sauce is so good. 10/10 recommend. The real reason I came to write this review though is because staff is super sweet and genuine. It was my first time coming here, and I had a lot of questions about the menu to the point where I could feel myself becoming annoying (face palm). The gal taking my order was Jessi, she was so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and authentically friendly. I can't remember what it was that we shared a laugh about, but I walked away happy because of that type of simple interaction that restores your faith in humanity. People who have never worked in the service industry are generally clueless and walk into a restaurants like it's their first day on earth. But even with my string of annoying questions, she never once made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Whoever is in charge here you should give Jessi a raise. The ambiance was cool and the service was exceptionally fast. Unfortunately both items I ordered were gross. I love chocolate and peanut butter together esp with coffee but their drink was inedible with an awful taste. Maybe they gave me almond butter by mistake. Woof I couldn't even force it down. The quesadilla was incredibly greasy and nothing like a quesadilla. The mouth feel of the walnut chorizo with the soft vegetables was weird / it felt gritty. The flavors fell as well. The only highlight was the salsa but I'm 90% sure it was salsa de welo which you can buy at a store. No one would finish my quesadillas at the table. Major miss for me. Some of the worst food I've had - sorry.
