Trin was incredible! There were only two employees working when we came in, with about 12-15 people dining, so if you visit, please be patient and give them some grace. Despite being busy, Trin provided amazing customer service and truly made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. The food was packed with so much flavor, which honestly impressed me coming from California, where Vietnamese culture and food are so popular and restaurants in Westminster are overflowing with options. I was especially impressed by their soda xi muoi, it tasted so fresh! The fried rice and pho broth were also delicious. Everything was full of flavor, even in the little bites. The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy, and everything is out for convenience such as the utensils and sauces for easy use. I can't wait to come back again. I was craving beef rib and tendon pho. With all the fires and some folks in my family not feeling well I wanted pho to boost the immune system. I asked around and several people gave this place a thumbs up. Since I was in the area I figured I might as well try it. I usually wouldn't drive 30-45 mins if I can help it. But I'm down for supporting small businesses. I called ahead when I was done with my errands. Told the kid I was fine with the extra fees. $21 for beef rib pho. $4 for extra meat. I asked for double the extra meat. So $8 for extra, extra tendon. Lol I was being fat and decided to order egg rolls and s&p shrimp because the pix looked good and people hyped this place (and dish) up. I paid ~$80 after tip on my togo order. Place was empty. I was ready to get down and try everything and enjoy my craving I've had for weeks. I got home and was super disappointed. I got 4 different meats I don't like, and I did NOT order. I would have liked those meats to be what I actually paid for. I had to throw them out. I am glad that there was at least 1 side of tendon. But it came with body hair. Pho. Ok. Nothing to rave home about. Egg rolls. Same. Ate half of one and left it. Shrimp. The first shrimp I bit into had a full shell on and was about to be even more pissed cuz this was ~$20 on its own. I was pulling shell out of my mouth and realized the full shell was on. Super disappointing because it's gross. I'm not a fan of eating poop vein. I went back to inspect the other pieces. Thankfully it was a fluke and the rest did not have shell on (only tails). But the taste and texture didn't pass the vibe check. S&P anything is always a fav. for some reason they were soggy, shrimp was rubbery. The taste was weird. Hard to describe. Closer to a walnut shrimp. Too much sugar was added. Anyway... too many things were off for me. Not planning on driving 45 mins for meh. I make pho all the time. I have the ingredients at home. But I didn't have the meat. I was hoping this would be a win but it missed the mark for me. I get frustrated paying for things I didn't receive. I'm fine paying extra to get what I want. The kid on the phone was nice. The pho here is good, portion sizes are decent, the Thai tea was very delicious, but I would not order the Bahn Mis here. I ordered 3 to go and they ran out of ingredients and boxes.... As you can see in the picture the sandwich was so sad and not worth $9, I kept just getting huge bites of bread and finally I looked inside. There wasn't even any pate on it, trust me, I searched. I was traveling with friends and we stopped here for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away, and the staff were very friendly. Most of us ordered the com tam with Korean short ribs (R2), which came with a small bowl of soup, while others ordered pho and a Vietnamese sandwich. Everything was sooooo good! The short ribs had a lot of flavor, and the nuoc cham (fish sauce) paired really well with the com tam. The soup was also very flavorful. I'm going to be honest, this location under its different names has not done well in my opinion. It was previously under a different name (Pho 777) and had similar issues. Today my partner and I went in for lunch. There was a table ahead of of of four people who had not ordered or gotten drinks yet, and a table in the middle of eating, and us. It took 17 minutes before he took our order. To his credit, he was the only person working up front, but he seemed more focused on the kitchen and doing to go orders, which is okay, but still, not great. I've tried three times in the past 4-5 months to go in for a raw beef salad dish they have. EVERY time they tell me there is SOME reason they can't make it "this time" but that they "normally have it." Every time. So today yet again, I was told they "normally have it" but it "takes a while to make" and wouldn't have any today. Okay, bummer (btw, it doesn't take a significant amount of time to make, it's literally raw beef and veggies/herbs in a lime vinaigrette which "cooks" the beef. You can eat beef raw, so it's not like it has to cure for a number of hours like a ceviche, but okay, remove it from your menu if you can't reliably have it. We order our food. My partner orders a dish he has had at this location numerous times before. It is a dish of stir fried veggies and chicken on a bed of crunchy noodles (looks like a birds nest). He orders egg rolls as well. I order salad rolls and the P1 pho. My salad rolls come out first, maybe 10 minutes later. No worries, they were tasty and well made. And we wait. Another 15 minutes and both our entrees come out, and his egg rolls. His dish is on a bed of stir fried soft noodles, and they give me a refrigerated, plastic wrapped dish with a lemon, two slivers of jalapeno, bean sprouts, and Vietnamese coriander (rau răm). No basil. So I ask him for some basil since that is STANDARD with pho. He goes "Oh okay" and comes back HOLDING two sprigs of basil, and tells me how the flooding in Hawaii a few weeks back makes them unable to get thai basil, so all they have is Italian basil. Okay, interesting...but why wouldn't you tell someone, at a Pho place, that not only do you not have limes but you don't have basil. The pho with the basil we got was good. Good broth, nice amount of meat. But my partners egg rolls had some weird HARD thing in them that he spit out and we left on the plate, which the guy serving us had no idea. He said he'd check with who supplies them. All in all, it was disappointing. Given their menu consistently advertises things they don't really carry regularly, and they seem to just be fine swapping things out without even letting you know when you order, I don't think we will be back. We gave them a lot of chances, from when it was Pho 777 and even here, and given how much it costs to go out to eat, its not worth it. To the servers credit, he did comp my partners food but I insisted on paying for mine since I actually ate mine. My partner decided to eat elsewhere given how much he disliked his. I gave it a two stars instead of one because my pho was good and they did comp my partner, but I think this was our last time. read more

I'm a native of the San Jose area in California, so I'm always happy to see new Vietnamese places open up around here! We do have plentiful options in Vancouver, but few of them stand out or hit the mark. This place definitely hits the mark and has unique Vietnamese items that you can't always get elsewhere! Their Braised Catfish and Vietnamese Sour Soup are delicious dishes I'd recommend to those looking to expand their Vietnamese experience beyond Pho and Banh Mi. Their Salt and Pepper Shrimp is my favorite here though. Seasoned perfectly with fish sauce and onions which soak up all the flavor with fresh veggies to clean the palette with every bite. They are very friendly here as well, and have adjusted recipes based on customer feedback in their short time open! It's lovely to see how they care about their customers. Don't expect anything fancy inside though, while it's very spacious it is also mostly function over form! But you normally don't go to Vietnamese for a bourgeois experience! I was in Vancouver for the weekend and decided to stop by Pho Zone, it did not disappoint! The restaurant is located in a strip mall plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is clean, vibes are relaxing, and staff are welcoming and attentive. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue - noodle to meat ratio was perfect. Broth was traditional and super flavorful, noodles were cooked perfectly and the meat was tender. It even came with a side of sate chili paste which was a plus since most restaurants don't provide that anymore. 5/5 service and food (I'm from San Jose where we literally have the best Vietnamese food so I know what I'm talking about ya'll). I will definitely be back and this will be my go-to spot when I'm in town. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my husband the other day. He got the chicken pho and I got the mi quang and we shared the lime beef. The pho was sweet, which he wasn't a fan of and the mi quang was very underwhelming. Not a lot of flavor compared to other places I've had it at. Surprisingly the like beef was the best thing we had out of the 3 items. Service was okay, a little slow for how empty it was. Could have been cleaner... There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant at the time we got there and there was a few tables that hadn't been cleaned off with dirty dishes and left over food and pieces of food all over the floor at those tables when we arrived. It was rich, flavorful and clearly simmered with care. You can taste the depth and balance in every spoonful. I've been to Pho Zone a few times now and will definitely keep coming in. Turmeric Noodle - I can't find this dish everywhere, so I was excited to see it here. It was fine, but the turmeric taste wasn't as strong as I would like it. Canh Chua (Vietnamese Sour Soup) - this item is currently on the "Testing" menu and I LOVE it. This soup is why I come to Pho Zone. I haven't seen it anywhere else (though I will be looking harder for it now). The server who has been there each time we've gone has been very welcoming and answered our questions about the menu. The tables aren't usually filled, but we come with three kids so that's a plus for us. If you're in the area and need a Vietnamese soup fix, Pho Zone is a good option. The food here was hands down one of the best meals I had during my visit to the area. I ordered the P2 Phó Special combo with the Beef Rib. Portions were large with plenty of meat, broth was hot the entire time, and the flavor was balanced and super satisfying. It was 1 order of bun bo hue and 1 order of grilled pork over rice. Got home to try our food and discovered that the bun bo hue was not quite authentic. There was no lemongrass flavor and the noodles were broken. I've had my fair share of bun Bo hue and this was not it. The grilled pork rice dish was just alright too. I only gave them 4 stars because the meat was a bit sparse. The meat tasted great though, just needed a little more. My companion had the Pad Thai and she said it was delicious. I love a big bowl of goodness, that is pho. This is a newly opened eatery in my neighborhood (lucky me). I enjoy the toppings but the difference between a great and average pho is in the broth. Pho Zone delivers the broth. I ordered the S4: Wonton Noodle soup with egg noodles. The noodles were nice and chewy and the wontons plump and well filled. It was topped with thin slices of pork and chicken. Hub had a vermicelli bowl. The fun thing about pho is digging around for all the little surprises layered in the soup. I had plenty to take home and even purchased extra broth because I loved it so much. The staff here is absolutely delightful and cheery.
