I can't believe I'm finally saying this after three years of trying all the pho spots in Vancouver but I believe I've officially found my go to pho spot! Pho Ton offers me the taste of SoCal that I've been missing and I'm so excited to become a regular here! The service is outstanding! I ate here twice in one week and the server remembered my order from the first time I came in! I was definitely impressed by that. The dining area is nice and cozy. Perfect for slurping up noodles on a cold rainy PNW day. My usual order here is Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). This place does it SO RIGHT! You can see the flavor dancing around in the broth before you even taste it. The broth is rich and beefy with notes of lemongrass and Vietnamese Chili Oil. There's chunks of their house made fishcake, boneless pork trotter, thick slices of tender beef shank, and silky pork's blood topped with fresh onions and cilantro. Top it off with banana leaves, thin sliced cabbage, and a squeeze of lemon juice to bring everything together. If you're a fan of flavor, this is the dish for you. My fiancé's go to is their Pho Dac Biet or House Special Pho. This comes in a large bowl with every meat selection on the menu. They use the perfect combination of spices here, no one spice overpowers another. A lot of places in Vancouver are spice dependent making their broth taste like spice water, which might be tasty if you've never had pho but I've eaten it my whole life and would prefer my pho broth not tasting like cinnamon soup. The amount of meat they use in both the BBH and the pho is impressive. I usually still have a bunch of meat in my bowl after I've polished off my noodles. It was ok. I ordered the bun Bo hue and the noodles were undercooked along with watered down broth. That's a major no for me it just ruined the whole meal. The meat didn't taste fresh and bit rubbery. Not only that but I could hear the waiter bad mouthing me in Vietnamese with their cooks as if I didn't understand (which I did. I'm Vietnamese). I feel like regardless if you're the same race or not they should've been more careful. Felt disrespected. Great service with excellent Pho! The Beef Pho with Flank and Brisket was delicious as was the Shrimp soup! The broth gave comforting vibes the kind you want when it's chilly outside or order online for when you're not feeling your best. I come here all the time, the food is delicious and the staff is super nice. They always remember my order and it always comes out super fast no matter how busy they are, the employees also work very hard and move with speed and precision. They just re-did the inside decor and it's very clean and pleasant on the inside especially considering it's not in the best part of town. read more

I went here today for lunch and I must say that I'm very impressed. Parking is difficult during lunch time so often you have to find parking elsewhere. Despite being very busy and very understaffed (one person was doing all of the serving), the service was quick and very friendly! I ordered the shrimp and pork salad rolls as an appetizer and their famous Bún bò Huế as my main. The salad rolls came out fast and tasted very fresh. The soup came out quickly and was delicious. Wow... that was some of the best pho I have ever had. Even with no additions, the soup was fresh and flavorful. I got the flank meat, which was tender. When we walked in I saw an Asian man eating the bun Bo hue which I thought if he's here eating it then it must be good so decided to give it a shot which I'm so glad I did! Terrific food and service every time we go! My office makes it a point to have a lunch out together weekly, and we have a consensus visit every month minimum to Pho Ton. Owner knows everyone in the place, she puts in the work, and makes everyone feel comfortable. I went in on a weekend day last week with my girlfriend, and the owner wasn't working, so I had to try and remember what it was I always get - and struggled. So the server said "hang on", pulled out her phone, face timed, owner answers, and she says - oh ya, he wants (whatever the Pho I always get is). I still think the BG pho has the best broth so far, even in Portland. but i think its like $12. this place was a dollar cheaper I think. The service was great! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I decided to order the spicy lemongrass chicken noodle bowl which was a bigger portion than I expected. Can't complain about that! The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is due to price. While portions were nice, and it was quite tasty, I'm not entirely convinced it was worth what I paid.
