Great price, excellent service, and delicious food! Pho Time is now my go-to when I don't feel like cooking. I usually do online order pick up, and the food is always ready within 15 minutes, usually around 10 minutes. The service is great too. It's a very friendly family-owned place with kids pictures on their wall. There is always someone calmly available to help. I love stopping by. My go-to order is their Chicken Curry. I like to pour it over a bowl of shredded cabbage at home with a side of fruit, both of which I buy across the street at Times on my way to Pho Time. Delicious and healthy! It lasts me two days, too. My roommate's order is BBQ Pork Bahn Mi, Crab Rangoon, and a Thai Tea. I used to order their vegetable broth pho with extra tendon which is also delicious. I was craving noodles (bun rieu in particular) so I ventured to Pho Time for dinner with my dad and brother one night. Overall it was just okay and I probably will stick to my usual pho restaurants in town from now on (my go to place isn't open for dinner unfortunately). My dad got the combo pho, with the meat on the outside (I want to mention that the server acknowledged the request with an OK). Unfortunately when his noodles came, the rare steak was inside already. I tried his soup and it actually tasted pretty good. I've been finding the soup salty at the last few pho places I've tried. My brother got the Mi La Cay, which is the chef's special egg noodle soup, with crispy chicken, fried shrimp, BBQ pork belly, romaine lettuce, chives, and fried onion. The soup didn't taste particularly special and we agreed was just meh. The crispy chicken was on the side which was nice because it would have ended up soggy in the soup. If you look at the picture on the menu, it's so vibrant and green. Unfortunately the romaine lettuce was lacking (my brother isn't a veggie fan so he was fine with that), and yellow. Definitely didn't look like the menu. Now on to my bun rieu. OMG it was disappointing. I have only had bun rieu made by my bf's mom and her version is one of my fave noodle dishes. So I had somewhat high expectations. I didn't think restaurant bun rieu could be as good as homemade of course, but since I like hers so much, I did think I would like bun rieu. I have to admit, if this was my first impression of the dish I would tell you I'm not a fan of bun rieu. The crab mixture tasted off and the broth tasted like straight up tomato soup (and not the good kind). There was no depth in flavor like most good broths have. It was just a major disappointment. Other reasons I won't be back is the portion of basil, beansprouts and other toppings was very lacking for 3 noodles. Luckily my brother doesn't veggies (and herbs) so he didn't fight us for it haha. Another reason being social distancing. I visited during COVID-19, and they had a huge table in the middle back of the restaurant dedicated to masks that they were selling. The restaurant is pretty small, with only 5 tables available (excluding the mask table). The table by the door was not even 2 feet from our table. They have more space toward the back of the restaurant. I think it would have been better distancing if they put the masks on the table near the front and opened up the back table to dining. Bread was fresh and soft and was disappointed at first that it was not toasted but by the time I finished I really didn't mind. Was inspired to get some pho this afternoon, so looked for a new place that actually allowed dine in... and this place was decently rated so gave it a whirl. Looks like a hole in the wall kind of joint, but seemed interesting, so I decided to be daring and try the oxtail pho... I personally am a pho tai aficionado, but it wasn't half bad. Had cabbage and radishes and not typical pho mix ins, but I'm adventurous and it wasn't bad. They provided a small plate with the standard add ins, and the man working the front was probably the most attentive and nice pho restaurant worker I've ever met. The summer rolls were ok, but fell apart a little easily for my taste. The weaker points: a little more pricey than a typical pho restaurant and I think they double charged me for my summer rolls... as a Thai tea, ox pho, and summer rolls shouldn't come to $37... but I was in a rush and didn't want to deal with the correction. Also seating is a little small so I'm sure there could be waits on busier days. I'd give it another try, but probably not in my top 5. Kudos-- I saw they have a pho burrito! My boyfriend and I ordered pho time through the door dash app yesterday for dinner. I was feeling a bit (actually a lot) under the weather and wanted to eat something light. I ordered the summer rolls and a couple orders of the pho broth. My bf ordered the spring rolls as well as a lemongrass chicken banh mi. Everything was DELICIOUS. They say you eat with your eyes first and the food looked very fresh and colorful! For instance, the summer rolls looked very fresh, bright, and colorful. The peanut dipping sauce was the perfect pairing for the rolls and it was the perfect amount for two rolls, which are included in one order. The broth was perfect to sip on especially since feeling under the weather. The spring rolls were still very crunchy when biting into them as well. My bf also loved the lemongrass chicken banh mi, which was very flavorful. I have never been to the restaurant in person, but I will be visiting soon for sure! read more

We've eaten here before but it was just for the pho. This time we noticed that they also serve Japanese food. The menu combinations are very similar to another good place to eat called Saito & Pho In the Ewa Beach area. I am not sure if they are related but the combination plates of VIETNAMESE and Japanese food is uncannily the same. Next time I have to ask! This time we tried the beef & meatball pho as well as the lemon grass chicken banh mi (sandwich). Both came out steaming hot and smelling delicious. The pho soup was good and the meat portions a good size. The sandwich was ok. The content was good but the bread was more like an extra large hot dog bun versus a baguette. Service was very prompt and good - hence the 4 star rating despite the so-so Vietnamese food. We have to come back and try the Wafu and tempura. Only then will we know how good this place is. I had to try this highly rated pho restaurant. We were seated quickly but there were limited tables as all the middle tables had boxes of masks. Not sure if that's a regular thing but you can probably buy masks there. Anyways, for the food, we got a bowl of pho, bun bo hue, and the chicken wings with fish sauce. The pho had a nice clear broth that was warming and tasted crisp and clean. The bun bo hue has a nice kick to it. I also like how they put a lot of interesting toppings like pigs blood jelly, slice of meatball, etc. It felt authentic. The wings there was probably my favorite item. They were very crunchy even with that sauce on it. The sauce had a nice sweetness with a mild fish sauce taste. It was very good and I'd highly recommend. Lastly, we ordered some viet iced coffees. I don't usually drink sugary coffee but this is an exception because I love viet ice coffee. However, they forgot our order and I had to remind them later on in our meal. We were craving pho and drove to Pho Time because of the high ratings. It didn't disappoint. The crab rangoons were in the crab side. The pho was nicely seasoned with lots of mint on the side. The kalbi bbq was only okay, the reason for the four stars rather than five. It just wasn't as flavorful as I've had in the past. However the side soup they gave you was very very delicious. THANKS to Kathy A. for suggesting our group meet up for an early dinner a few months ago. LOCATION/PARKING: Aiea Town Square. Ample parking available in the lot. 1. Yes, there's lots of parking (albiet in a lot shared with other businesses)! Pho Time is located within the Aiea Town Square. They are located on the upper part of the shopping complex. 2. Yes, its BYOB! Luckily there's a liquor store in the same shopping complex in the lower section (behind the restaurant). 3. Yes, the menu has appetizers, entrees, and pho (of course!). Our trio of friends shared the gyoza, spring rolls, and crab rangoon appetizers. The favorite: the crab rangoon! The filling was just the right crab to cream cheese ratio. Simply delicious. I chose the medium eye round steak and meatball pho, while my dining companions both bravely ordered the bun bo hue (spicy beef soup). The pho was so good! Flavorful broth served with a more than adequate portion of meat. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the BBH......all without breaking a sweat. 4. Yes, the service is excellent! We were at the restaurant for at least 2 hours, and within that time the friendly staff checked on us periodically and made sure our waters never emptied. Its Pho Time for lunch on a Sunday Funday @ Pho Time!! I had this place bookmarked from reading Yelp friend's reviews. I always wanted to check out Saito & Pho out in Waianae during my last stay-cation but I ended up not making it. Perfect with Pho Time I was able to give it a try this past weekend. Confirming with the waiter during my visit, the two other restaurants located in Ewa Beach and Waianae is the same owner as Pho Time. The only difference as the waiter mentioned is that Pho Time has more selection of Vietnamese food and Saito & Pho has more selection of Japanese food. I knew exactly where Pho Time was located on my drive to the restaurant. It took the place of two former businesses, Papa's Tea House & Raging Crab. Located in Aiea, in a very busy strip mall, I was lucky to score parking right in front of the restaurant. Upon entering this small restaurant, we were welcomed by 2 young waiters and got a corner table, received our menu and water. It took longer for my party of 4 to decide on what to order but we know for sure that we will be ordering their famous Bun Bo Hue from reading the reviews and seeing pics. I was dissappointed that they just ran out of Bun Rieu, crab soup as I had my mind set on that soup. The menu consist of Vietnamese and Japanese items. We were all in the mood for Vietnamese food. This restaurant is great for having both Vietnamese and Japanese food, more variety for all to enjoy! We finally placed our orders, 2 Bun Bo Hue, spring rolls and bbq chicken vermicelli ( no vermicelli, due to my sister's keto diet sub vermicelli for salad) and medium chicken pho for me, my mom, and 2 sisters. Although I do not eat beef, my mom and 2 sisters rave about how delicious the Bun Bo Hue is, the reviews are true, the Bun Bo Hue is approved by them. My mom mentioned on the way home, that Pho Time's Bun Bo Hue is so much better than the place she normally goes to in Chinatown. I had the chicken pho and that doesn't disappoint either. The chicken pho, was huge for a medium, soup came out nice and hot, with lots of chicken. The pho noodle were not overcooked and the broth was light, flavorful, and a little on the sweeter side. I tried a piece of my sister's spring roll and yums, it was so hot, tasty, and crispy! ( I want spring rolls next time I visit!) The only minor complaint I would have at Pho Time is that the young waiter did not understand my request for steamed bean sprouts, ( bad habit, I always need it steamed) and that they don't have fresh satay. It seems that they are still learning on the job as service wasn't the best during our visits. We waited long for our credit card receipt, come to find out that the waiters were having a hard time with machine due to the wrong size of paper for machine. Besides the nice/clean restaurant and great food, I really loved that Pho Time has a restroom for customer use, I remember dining here when it was the previous businesses, we had to walk to another building, up the stairs for the restroom, which was out of the way. All in all, We enjoyed our meals, we were so stuffed and I am happy for Pho Time in Aiea, now we have more dining options when in Aiea. I thought the last review I wrote for a Pho restaurant would be the last one I would ever write but enter my little Vietnamese friend advising Pho Time and birthday movie were on the agenda. So early movie it was then on to this little restaurant we went. For those of you who were friends and fans of Papa's Cafe....same place! Most people go to Pho places for the Pho....for me it's all about the Bun Bo Hue aka BBH and it's not always available at every Pho restaurant. Since BBH is on the menu, Lien decided we should try. So glad she knows me so well as this is my new love. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the owner and seated with water and menus. Orders placed and within minutes our choices were delivered steaming hot, luscious, bowls of BBH and Bun Rieu with a large plate of veggies and herbs. Before I contaminated my palate with BBH, I tasted Lien's Bun Rieu...wow it's outstanding but I do prefer my choice. I've tried the potstickers and pleased to pronounce them yummy. Morsels of chicken, pork & veggies, deep fried lightly, not overly crisp but just enough and not oily. Ordered a side of Kalbi because I wanted to take it home for the family to try (thinking ahead for football season).....they loved it. If you like Thai Iced Coffee you'll like it here. Strong, not overly sweet and they pour it over cubed ice not crushed so it doesn't dilute the richness. Pho Time opens at 10:00 AM, a great time for late breakfast for us non traditional brekkie eaters...I'm coming at 10:00 next time for the coffee and BBH. Cylindrical, two and a half, maybe three inches on a good day. Golden brown, crisp on the outside, with a moist, flavorful reward in the inside. These are the best spring rolls I've had in a very long time and for good reason. The ground chicken is marinated in a sweetened soy based sauce punched up with fish sauce that adds fermented complexity. Both flavors work to highlight the earthy flavor of the taro within. Excellent. The pho packs in the beef flavor. Try it before you adulter it with siracha and hoisin. Not herbaceous or medicinal rather long, slow simmered, clarified beef broth seasoned with salt. Very generous portions of noodles, flank, brisket, raw steak, meatballs, and clean, tender tendons in the combo. Sadly no tripe or blood cake but the culantro more than makes up for it with its fresh herbal taste. Note: the same beef broth is also used with the chicken pho. It works. Solid Bun bo hue (spicy beef soup) with its well braised brisket, tender tendons and gelatinous, chewy beef shank with skin attached. One of the best I've had on the island. Special mention of the very well made, potent coffee. So strong it will put hair in your chest but not bitter, cloying, and not excessively sweet. Friendly family service. BYOB a plus. Note: Half of the menu is dedicated to "Japanese" selections. None sampled. You don't order southern fried chicken at a Chinese restaurant do you? Just saying. Impressive. Did you know that one of the World's healthiest cuisines is Vietnamese? Vietnamese cuisine is revered for its uses of fresh ingredients, heavy reliance on herbs and vegetables, combinations of complementary textures and like most Asian cuisines, minimal use of dairy and oil. Recently, while away for a vacation, we stuffed ourselves silly with European, Latin and American regional cuisines. We were eating and drinking like Royalty but my Asian food eating husband pressured me to return to eating bowls of soup-noodles because his taste buds were a bit homesick. Sheesh...we were only gone for a week! During the process or catching up with reading and writing Yelp reviews that I missed during our vacation, I came across Yelp friends Kathy A's and Rod U's photos and reviews for this newly opened restaurant called Pho Time. Pho Time is located in the Aiea Town Square or as Kathy described, in the space formerly occupied by Papa's Café Aiea. We took a drive out to the Aiea Town Square to try this spot out (and under the guise of marketing out at Costco Waipio). First of all, there is a large parking lot that is shared by several businesses but we readily found a parking stall near to the restaurant. When we arrived, the restaurant was full and the owner was nice enough to tell us that there would be a 5-minute wait. No problem...that gave us time to peruse the menu posted right near the entrance of the restaurant. The interior was totally different from its former tenant (Papa's Café) and was more open, clean and bright. There was only one person who buzzed about servicing all of the tables. I have to say that I was impressed with his graciousness and patience as he would also bus tables in between refilling customers' water glasses and cashiering. We were also impressed with their easy to read menu with photos and descriptions. The menu cover shows a striking photo of Ho Chi Minh City's (formerly Saigon) famous marketplace, Ben Thanh. I've only heard about this marketplace as it is the earliest surviving structures in Saigon created by French colonists. It was formerly named "Les Halles Centrales" then renamed as "New Ben Thanh Market". FOOD: -Spring Rolls: 4 GB&D (Golden Brown & Delicious) egg rolls filled with ground chicken, carrot, onion, taro and long rice were served to us. The evenly filled rolls were cut in half so we had 8 halves to share between to the two of us. Egg roll wrappers were used instead of the traditional rice paper wrappers but yielded smooth, light and crispy bites. The "standard" lettuce leaf cups, rice noodles, match-stick cut cucumbers, radishes and carrots and nuoc mam dipping sauce accompanied this appetizer. The balanced flavors of the nuoc mam made for a brighter taste. I think the lettuce leaf cups were too small because as we tried to wrap the egg roll, rice noodles and pickles, the lettuce cup either burst or popped open and everything fell out. $8.50 -Vietnamese Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (bún bò Hue): this noodle dish was created in the city of Hue which has been associated with the cooking style for the former royal court. The slices of beef brisket were tender and tender to the bite. There were also a couple pieces of pork knuckle, pork roll (cha lua) and beef tendon. Its beef bone broth was well-seasoned with flavors of fermented shrimp sauce, lemon grass, spicy chili sauce and sugar. Basic fresh vegetable condiments were served (lemon wedges, mung bean sprouts, mint, basil and jalapeño peppers). $13.00 I suppose that I'm a bit spoiled but I looked for the typical congealed blood cakes, sliced fishcake and raw sliced onions that's usually found in bùn bò Hue. Also, the condiment tray didn't offer thinly sliced banana blossoms or water spinach or saw tooth herb (ngò gai). Slight disappointment but I considered that it may be just a regional difference or market availability issue. Pho Time offers a new, clean and tasty dining option in the Aiea neighborhood. The menu also offers Japanese food but we didn't try it because we were focused on getting noodle soup. We look forward to returning to try more. I normally don't go West to eat Pho or Bun Bo Hue because it's better in town. With that said, I would drive to Aiea to eat Bun Bo Hue from Pho Time. They, by far, have the best Bun Bo Hue on the West side. I must thank Kathy A for putting this spot on my radar. She likes this place so much that the owner told me that she visited them 4 times in a week! It says a lot about their food, customer service and restaurant. The restaurant is clean and modern looking. Lots of natural light coming in and the Pho photo on the wall definitely makes one hungry. Customer service was good and the owner even chased me to give me my credit card back after I paid (I left it on the table). Meats were tender, veggies were fresh, broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Portion size is good and I left very full. Please check them out! I was in the mood for pho the other night and my wife and I decided to to to our regular spot Stadium Pho. While we were getting ready my wife got a pop up on her phone for Pho Time in Aiea so we thought what the heck let's try it. We didn't even know this place existed until now and we are planning to be regular customers. When we sat down I saw how minimal the condiments were and was a little disappointed that my beloved sambal was not provided. It seems that everyone eats pho differently and my way is to add a little sambal to each spoonful. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken Bahn mi and I ordered a large pho combination with no beef balls. My order came first and I always taste the broth before anything else. This was the best pho broth I have ever tasted, it was so rich and delicious. The bowl of pho was super loaded with meat that made the $12 cost well worth it. The next table was just raving about the food so much that they ordered additional dishes to take home. My wife's bahn mi was also delicious. I just had a terrible bahn mi recently which mede this one extra delicious. The chicken had a lot of flavor to it and they added just the right amount of mayo to the light and crispy bun. New restaurant that just opened up last month. It is right next to Tea Cafe in the Aiea Town Square. There are about 7 tables for dine in eating. They also do take out as well. I don't recommend the table near the entrance since the AC is on and the wind just blows whatever on your table your napkins off the table. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with spring rolls ($12) and lemongrass chicken. My bf had the wafu steak. I liked the my dish, the spring rolls were not as crunchy as I like it. But overall it was flavorful and had plenty of veggies. My bf enjoyed his wafu steak especially for the price $13. The steak was juicy and tasty as you bite into it. There are plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and in the open lot next door. If you like boba tea, just walk next door to Tea Cafe. read more

The beef tasted marinated and braised while also being very tender. It had a good share of meat as well. Noodles were also cooked very well and was tender. It was delicious! Rounding out my delivery orders for pho in my area every Saturday, we have Pho Time, the greatest location in terms of time to prepare and deliver my order, packaging, and size. All I ordered from the location was a thai tea and a rare beef pho. This one came with the beef already in the broth container, which I greatly appreciate because it was cooked by the time it got to me, I didn't have to mess with uncooked meat, and it kept it warm. The onions, cilantro, and green onions were in a foil on the side (not exactly necessary but it was kept with the cold items), and this was the first location to give me separate containers of hoisin, sriracha, and chili oil. Flavor-wise, the pho was spot on, a great temperature, and came with all the fixings on the side (I never eat my bean sprouts, but there were plenty). The tea was a bit strong - it could stand some more milk/creamer/whatever they use to cut it, and a bit on the pricey side compared to other locations. Soooo deliciouso, I got on Uber eats, good price and good quality! Was ready very quick and they accommodated extra siracha and hoisin sauce for no extra fee which was very nice. Sooo give it a go, I only got the vegetable pho but rare beef on the side so idk about all the other things on the menu but the pho was very good!! What a rip off, ordered a small side of broth take home since my pho that I ordered to eat there was loaded with noodles and barely had any broth to eat with it. When we received it it was so small it was ridiculous, what a rip off for $4.00! Then when we paid for the bill and got the receipt, the cashier charged us for the wrong order! The beef was dry for PHO. Broth is good and tendon was good also. If you get a chance try the tofu lemongrass sandwich.

We only come here for the Bun Bo Hue (BBH), brisket pho, and spring rolls! I've had BBH at MANY restaurants locally, and I think Pho Time does it the best. I don't eat the blood cakes (i know, I'm a wimp) so I like that they always ask whether or not to include it in the soup. I know everyone has a preference when it comes to pho....I don't care for broths that are heavily fragrant of cinnamon and clove, I prefer the beefy-er bone broth type of pho, which is why we love theirs so much. The only bummer was that a few times the broth was waaaay too salty and we couldn't finish it. It did keep us away for a few months but recently it was as good as we remember, so maybe it was just a different chef/cook? Springs rolls here are so delicious and addictive..I must order these every time we visit! I believe it's a mixture of pork/chicken with taro/veggies which makes it moist and flavorful, fried up to perfection. Parking lot is always busy but we manage to find a spot even during peak hours. I love this place so much! Every time my family and I come, we feel super happy. They use fresh ingredients and the consistency is always the same. Even my son and daughter have no complaints. Must try!! So many extras with the spring roll it was great! It was a regular plate size more than an appetizer. I've never had noodles served with it before. The chicken katsu was nice and crispy, not too oily. The fried oysters were juicy and delicious. Great sauce on the lemongrass tofu banh mi. Could've used a little more flavor/been stronger, but it was still a great sandwich. Very affordable and good portion size. One of the better Vietnamese places I've been to. I'm excited to try their other menu items! Highly recommend!! read more

I hate to leave poor reviews, especially in the time of COVID. I placed an order through BiteSquad and got tempura and chicken pho. The tempura was greasy and overly battered. Upon opening the broth, it smelled somewhat fragrant but looked unusually clear. Some of the bean sprouts had dark buds. The chicken was also overly chewy and dry despite being in the broth. Broth upon tasting had no real flavor on its own, and no hoisin sauce or chili was sent with the order. I am extremely disappointed with this meal, which with the delivery fees is a decent amount to spend for a poor meal. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. read more

Update 11 November 2018 - still 5 stars! Ate the Wafu steak and Pork tofu, both were tasty and plentiful. The steak is super soft and has the right mix of flavor. Comes on a sizzling platter which adds to the flavor. Pork tofu had a very good balance of flavors as well. Included the menu photos along with our meal. Although it is called Pho Time, they serve Vietnamese and Japanese food (2 of my favorites!). But I wouldn't recommend getting their Japanese dishes. Well I probably shouldn't have ordered a Japanese dish from a place called Pho Time! The spring rolls we ordered were good. But you can't really go wrong with spring rolls can you? My bf ordered the chicken katsu with a side of curry. It came with rice and a small cup of pho broth. The curry was small and it was Vietnamese style. The katsu was generous in portion but it was overly breaded and it looked like it had more breading then the chicken. Curry was okay, nothing special. And the pho broth didn't have much flavor. As for my pork tofu dish I ordered (kind of like a Japanese sukiyaki), was not bad in flavor. But the pieces of pork were kind of thick and hard. I ended up finishing the dish cause I was hungry but probably wouldn't order it again. I like how it had yam noodles and lots of veggies in it (a good low carb option). Maybe we came on an off night? Or maybe we have to give the other dishes a chance.. but I'd consider giving it another try. Lots of options to choose from and the it's reasonably priced.
