A good pho and rice plate place. Got the combination pho that was flavorful and not overly salty - it came with a decent amount of meat. The grilled pork tasted as I expected, sweet, charred, and lemongrass. Reminds me of a place from Sacramento that I used to go to all the time. Also got a yummy mango shake. Perfect for a quick meal with families and friends. Service is typical of a Vietnamese restaurant!

I get a small bowl of pho and a Thai iced tea for lunch at least once a week. Service is quick, and the broth is so so good.

I liked my cucumber and shrimp salad. Eager to try other things off the menu. Any suggestions?

Good for cold weather. Service was quick, lots of seating available. I forgot what I ordered already, but I love noodle bowls! Very filling. The bowls have a very light taste and bordered on bland at times so I added a lot of chili sauce and basil. The space is very open and very quiet. So you can hear probably more than you want to.

If you're looking for a fancy restaurant this is not it. But if you are looking for great Vietnamese food and service, you've got to eat here. I had the Vermicelli/Bun with Grilled Prawns & B.B.Q Pork and it was as good as I've eaten anywhere. My wife who does not like Vietnamese food asked if they could make steamed vegetables, a non-menu item, and she loved it. We were visiting from the Midwest and if we were ever back in the area I'd come back here again.

Traveling through Eureka for work. One of the ladies loves Vietnamese food and picked this place which was close to our hotel. I ordered Pad Thai (which maybe was my mistake, as this is Vietnamese food, not Thai). The food was served like a plate of slop. It was full of sauce that appeared to be brown cornstarch. The rice noodles were overcooked, with no egg, no chives, just crumbled tofu rather than cubes of fried tofu. In addition, the peanuts were "shavings" and had no crunch texture at all. The peanuts looked like flakes of salt. I think the worst part is we got no check(s) to pay. As were waited for our checks, we were told to go to the register to pay. According to the menu, my Pad Thai was 10.95, however, my total was $21.31. Hummmm, I questioned it, and they passed me to another employee. This employee was hard to understand, so I thought maybe I was incorrect about the cost of my order. I paid for it, came back to my hotel, and looked up the menu. I was correct, my order was $10.95. I'll go back tomorrow if I can with my schedule. But this will be the last time I leave without a written or printed check.

Very nice environment, cute decorations The noodles in the pad kee mao were a bit hard, but this place specializes in viet not Thai so it's fine. The other BBQ pork dishes were great tho

Our family is part Cambodian, so where we live there are some restaurants but not close by so we jumped on the opportunity especially since it was nearby where we were staying. Definitely left satisfied and it felt nice to have the food since we were far from home. Service was great and attentive and glad they didn't mind we came within the last hour and let us take our time since we had a long day in the park which we enjoyed with our 7 month old. Don't really know the area so to us it seemed hidden. But people were coming in constantly picking up orders . So I'm sure it's well known and popular. The ambience is nice inside, and would recommend if you like Cambodian food or haven't tried it. Looking forward to bringing more family with us next time we come back in the area.

A Tale of Two WOKINs: A Journey from SoCal to NorCal in Search of the Perfect Bite…read more Every family has a story, a collection of moments stitched together with love, laughter, and--if you're lucky--really, really good Chinese food. Ours begins in Redlands, California, where a humble, hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant called WOK IN became more than just a place to grab takeout. It became a second home. A young couple owned it, pouring their heart and soul into every dish, and over the years, we grew close, bonding over sizzling woks and steaming bowls of comfort. But life, as it often does, led us north. A new chapter. A fresh start. And while we embraced the adventure, there was one thing missing--a place that felt like our place, a little corner of the world where good food and good people came together. For nearly a year, we searched. And then, like a beacon in the fog of hunger, we found it: WOK IN WOK OUT in Eureka, California. I told my wife about it, cautiously optimistic, but she met my excitement with skepticism. "Let's see if it's the same," she said, as only a woman who has been burned by disappointing takeout before can say. So we did. The order was simple: Kung Pao Chicken, soup, and Pad Thai. The stakes? Immensely high. One bite in, and suddenly, it wasn't just dinner--it was a rediscovery. The flavors were bold, the textures perfect, the spice hitting just right. And then, the true test: my wife, pregnant and all, gave me the nod. It didn't make her sick. That, my friends, is the highest praise a restaurant can receive in our household. While nothing will replace our forever WOK IN family in SoCal, WOK IN WOK OUT has given us a new home for comfort food up here in NorCal. It's not just about the food--it's about the feeling, the nostalgia, the quiet joy of finding a place where you belong. So, to the good people at WOK IN WOK OUT: thank you. You've given us more than just a meal--you've given us a piece of home. -Jacob Williams

I pulled up, and the lady comes out to talk to me, she asked me if I had been there before and I said I didn't. She said take a look at the menu, and I will come back to you. It turns out she was going back-and-forth between being the cashier, and taking orders. If they had a box, it wasn't working. I decided to go with the pulled pork sandwich on a baguette, I chose all of the veggies, with no cheese or avocado, which was extra price. I requested the barbecue sauce, which was the non-spicy version. The sandwich was excellent. The baguette was a very high-quality roll, the pulled pork was savory, and all of the veggies were nice and crisp. The barbecue sauce tasted like it was a vinegar based, and it had a great "Tang" to it. It provided a nice pop of acid to offset the richness of the pulled pork. I could only finish half of my sandwich, and I had the other half for dinner. The sandwich came out to $14 and change after tax, , which was reasonable for such a good sandwich. The reason I'm taking off a star, is because of the wait time. The wait time from when I pulled up till when I pulled out with my sandwich was roughly 15 minutes. That's quite a wait for a sandwich. You can order ahead online, but you still have to wait in the line to pick up your food. They do delivery, but they only do one delivery run a day at 11 AM, and so you have to get your order in on time. They shouldn't have the person running back-and-forth between being cashier, and taking orders as well. Maybe have another person taking orders. Hopefully the next time I come back, the wait won't be so long. I wish these guys would get a "brick-and-mortar." They would do very well. Thank you!
