Egg noodle option vs french bread

This review is for the branch at Tukwila Mall, Pho Tai location : Excellent beef stew Phó, just the right amount of meat with fatty layer, the correct amount of red pepper spice, and fresh veggies like basil, Jalapeño, and sprouts on the side.

Rainy weather = pho day! Ordered #1 Pho Tai (steak) to go and two fried egg rolls. Pho Tai is only open for take out right now due to covid. I got home to find my pho Tai and two spring rolls (fresh, non fried). I was pretty disappointed because I was craving crunch, however, these were still delicious. I've been here to this location 4 or 5 times now and they usually meet my expectations.

If I could do zero stars I would. I CANNOT stress this enough. Please do not go eat at this place!!! We found a COCKROACH in our food!! This is not okay. This was one of my favorite places to come eat with my husband and my kids. We came in around 9pm today with my mother in law, my father in law, my 5 year old niece and my son who is 1 years old. The first thing that happened when we walked in was that they banned us from sitting on the left side of the restaurant and the excuse was and I quote "this side no please sit on the other side of the restaurant because we already cleaned this side." My husband and I being understanding of the situation chose to follow and sit on the right side of the restaurant. We ordered four number ones and one kids pho meal. As I stated before this was one of my favorite places to eat so it didn't come to my mind to check the food thoroughly. The kids shared a kids pho. I didn't start eating yet because I was feeding my son his pho. I Then took 2 or 3 bites out of my food. My father in law was in the middle of eating his food when he found a dead cockroach floating in it. I WAS SO DISGUSTED I LITERALLY PUSHED MY PLATE AWAY AND TOOK AWAY THE KIDS FOOD AS WELL. What kind of restaurants gives out food especially to KIDS with cockroaches in it?? I can't imagine how sick my son and my niece can get from eating food that was contaminated with cockroaches. Us as adults it isn't that bad but kids? Really?! This makes me so upset. We called over the waiter and the only thing he said was "the only thing I can do is discount one plate." He wasn't even surprised that there was a small cockroach in the bowl. We didn't grab the waiters attention so that we can get discounts. This wasn't a stunt we pulled so that we can get free meals. This was a dinner we wanted to enjoy as a family. We brought kids to this restaurant thinking that it was a safe place for them to eat. We then grabbed the attention of someone else who worked there and showed them the cockroach in the food. She stated "we keep our kitchen clean. Maybe the cockroach fell from the ceiling." I got so upset because she was trying to make It seem like it was our fault the food their restaurant served us had a cockroach in it. Unbelievable. THERE SHOULDN'T BE COCKROACHES ANYWHERE IN THE PLACE WHETHER THAT'S THE KITCHEN, THE FLOOR, THE CEILING. THIS IS A GIANT HEALTH CODE VIOLATION. Please be aware when eating here and CHECK YOUR PLATES. Especially if you have kids. This is not a form of getting attention or anything. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT REALLY HAPPENED AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. This is highly unacceptable and I will for sure be calling corporate and the health department first thing in the morning. I took the pictures and videos I could but one of the ladies who worked there snatched the plate away because she didn't want me to film.

We love coming to this restaurant. But this morning me and my daughter went around 9am , my daughter order iced milk coffee. She seen a hair inside her drink . I ask the server to replace it please ,she look at it and shaking the plastic cup , she said about 4 min to made a new one . NO SORRY or CREDIT IT . even just sorry word from them none ,I was so disappointed .Hopefully next time they will check what they serve and know how to apologize at least.

Steak and Brisket Pho (regular size)

A very popular spot for causal and quick dine in or take out pho and rice plates. I've been to this restaurant over 30 times and the food quality and service is very consistent. I always head to this place for a cozy meal on a rainy Seattle day. I either like to order the Steak and Brisket Pho with a fried egg roll or the Grilled Chicken Rice Plate which comes with an egg and fried egg roll and a side of soup. Located in Burien Plaza so there is plenty of free parking.

pho chicken w/ spring rolls! (:

Always my go to pho spot around the area. Their pho is really full and flavorful. Just your convenient pho mom and pop shop.

Apsara Palace - Papaya Salad (Spicy)

Apsara Palace

Aspara Palace is a Khmer (Cambodian) and Asian restaurant in White Center. They have a homey vibe…read morewith one well-decorated wall. I suspect they are a family business with mom as the cook, plus a son and a daughter as servers, which was the case on a quiet Sunday. The son as the server was bubbly and amicable as I asked questions about popular and favorite dishes. The food is excellent and flavorful, with plenty of leftover foods. Parking is readily available along the streets. The Food and Drinks: Beef Loklak Rice Plate, $20 - 5 Stars This is a hardy dish with flavorful pieces of beef, a fried egg, fresh greens, rice, and a bowl of soup. This dish by itself is a substantial meal. With the sides dishes we ordered, half of this went home. Lort Cha or Fried Pin Noodles with prawns, $20 - 4.5 Stars Available protein is seafood or beef. I requested prawns only, which they accommodated. Served with a side of fish sauce in a squeeze bottle, the server said to apply all over the dish. He also said this is his favorite dish. The food has very good wok hei like a Hong Kong noodle dish. I had plenty of noodles left to make a second dinner after adding veggies and protein. Beef Skewers, $18 - 4.5 Stars Five good size skewers with a dallop of pickled veggies. The seasonings are very distinctive. Oddly, the flavor reminds me of some Chinese style beef jerky. In any case, these are smoky, savory, and yummy. Papaya Salad, $16 - 4.5 Stars They use all the real, authentic ingredients here, including bits of tiny baby crabs. Be careful if you have sensitive gums. Sugar Cane Juice, $7 - 3.5 Stars I would think sugar can juice are all quite similar, but they are not. I didn't like theirs as much for some reason. It was a bit murkier. I probably won't order this in the future. Coconut Coffee, $7 - 5 Stars Our server recommended this. Coconut and coffee sound weird together, but this drink is a winner. Very unique, a touch of sweet, potent like a Viet coffee, and very distinctive. Thumbs up. They are probably closer to 4.5 Stars. Rounding up to support a family business.

We got the Phnom Penh Kuy Tiew, Seafood Lort Cha, and Beef Skewers along with Sugar Cane Juice and Mango Smoothie. My Seafood Lort Cha was delicious. It was a bit oily but having it with the fish sauce combated it. The pin noodles were so much fun and bouncy to eat. The sugar cane juice was also refreshing and it was just freshly squeezed in front of us. My sister enjoyed her Phnom Penh Kuy Tiew, it had a rich pork broth similar to eating babaw. The Mango Smoothie probably wasn't as fresh though. I didn't taste it but my mom thought it wasn't. Lastly, the beef skewers. They were not as good and seemed a bit old tasting? The meat was a bit tough and the texture seemed off. I was satisfied with my dish though and might come back if I'm ever in the White Center area again to try their Nom Banh Chok Buffet.

Been going here for several years now - poke has always been solid and the Hawaiian dishes were good not great. But today it was all different - everything was outstanding! Wife got a 2 salmon scoop poke : fish was great as always, but the seasoned potatoes (gamja jorim) she chose as 1 of 3 sides was very good. Dad had the hwae-dupbap (think of it as Korean bibimbap but with poke instead of meat) and the Cho-gochujang sauce was excellent. I had the loco moco and it was better than in the past. Also the banchan with that were fire (seasoned japchae noodles, spicy shredded radish) both better than in the past They sell most of the side dishes as banchan and as a Korean I fully endorse them. I am a huge Korean banchan snob and I will absolutely countersign their cooking I don't know what's going on but like I said - everything tastes better than before. The ajumma who runs the place said business is getting slower as the economy is imploding so let's support this awesome local business so we can keep this place around.

People were getting extremely tall "bowls" of food. The protein, the staff adds rather than us. Note for myself next time: add a LOT more sauce than the board recommends. They gave a shocking amount of meat (clearly not a sentiment shared by everyone in the comments, but I was astounded by how they really shoved the chicken into that container) and rice! When I come again I might skip the noodles and do a veggie meat stir fry to eat just with the rice. Also, I like the side sauce bar! I enjoyed pouring the Mongolian sauce over everything after it was cooked :D Also, this was delicious as leftovers, highly recommend.

She apparently put too much sauce in hers and made it too salty. Mine was perfect, where my issue occurred is when I checked out, the guy asked what meat I wanted said beef, he then grabbed a large handful of beef with his bare hands and walked it over to the grill. Now so sure about how sanitary that was.
