This place is so nice. Simple, clean, with really good food. The staff seems genuinely interested in your enjoying the experience. The owner is a really sweet lady who showed us how to cut up the spring roll and wrap it in a lettuce leaf and basil and sprouts before dipping it. You know the food is good because there are all kinds of people in there. Bikers and bankers and normal people. Really amazing food. Try the pho with tendon. If you like to deconstruct and eat a ham hock, it's kind of like that, but with these rounds of beef tendon that they've cooked tender, probably for hours. I've been waiting for some real Pho and Bahn Mi on the Northshore and this is it. Delicious broth cooked for 12 hours and seasoned to perfection. The bread is from Hi-Do on the west bank and together with the grilled pork makes for one of the best Bahn Mi sandwiches around. read more

I stopped in here one day because I was craving a tapioca pearl drink. To my surprise they didn't have tapico pearls but they have little jellies(kind of like flavored jello) only. Most drinks I've had were made with real fruit but this place made them with powder. It was overly sweet and it didn't taste anything like the fruit. I ordered mango and it was such an artificial mango flavor that I didn't even finish my drink. Definitely won't be back for the drinks. read more

My absolute favorite Pho place in Covington, tied only with Pho Grace in Hammond. The pho is very flavorful with a dark stock. The pork summer rolls are so delicious and served with an equally yummy peanut sauce. The service is friendly and extremely helpful for those who have e never tried pho before. Just moved to covington 3 months ago from the southshore. Ate tons of pho in New Orleans. Have tried many Vietnamese restaurants on Covington and Mandeville. The pho here is the best in my opinion. The staff and Owner, Miss Tyuyet are always friendly. By the time I came a second time they remembered me. Now my spouse and I have eaten there at least a dozen times. I'm originally from south east Asia, so the taste must be right or they have no business selling pho noodle soup. We've been here several times already and can honestly say that both the service and food are consistantly very good. I love the egg rolls and the Pho Ga (chicken). My husband loves the Pho Do Bien (meat combination). But also very good and worth trying are their Vermicelli bowls and their Bahn mi sandwiches. Check them out and see for yourself. read more

Been so many times lost count. My favorite Pho place in Nola. Chicken wings without bones are great as is everything else on the menu.

You can tell they make their own broth and it's delicious! I had the Pho Tai and my husband had lemongrass beef. The service was excellent too. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was the beef could have been a slightly better quality. If you've never had pho and want to try something authentic, give Pho Saigon a try. read more

This was my first time trying Vietnamese food and I will be back! I got the fried egg rolls which were excellent and had tons of flavor. Better than any other egg roll I have had. Not impressed. They offer absolutely no vegetarian options. When I asked the server, she told me everything has meat "what did I expect". My reply was "tofu or vegetables, just as all of the other Vietnamese restaurants I dine at provide". Will not be back. Pho Saigon is a new Vietnamese restaurant in Covington. The dining room is well lit, very clean and seats between 50-60 people. The owner and wait staff are always friendly and make every diner feel welcome. The food is authentic Vietnamese prepared by Vietnamese chefs using Tuyet Nguyen's recipes. The pho broth is prepared over a 12 hour period and is always very consistent. The banh mi( Vietnamese po-boy)uses fresh ingredients served on fresh Vietnamese French bread and is to die for. All of the rice and noodle dishes offer great portions and amazing taste. If you've thought you could only get good pho and authentic Vietnamese food on the Southshore, you're in for a treat with this Northshore eatery. Tried this place and pho for the first time today. The lady (appeared to be owner) was super friendly! She could tell by the look on my face I didn't know what I was doing once my pho arrived. This is the best home style Vietnamese food available on the Northshore. Pho is good. Bun Bo Hue is better. Real ingredients and nothing is faked from a packet. Grilled pork dishes are very good and always willing to go for changes/menu variations. Service is excellent if you get the day when the right waitress is working.
