Seeing this seating pattern repeated even though other tables were available made me strongly feel that race was influencing the seating decisions. I found the experience very upsetting. Of course, it is up to the restaurant to decide how it will assign tables in the future. I would be glad if this experience prompted the restaurant to recognize the issue and make changes. On the other hand, if nothing changes, I will consider this to be part of the restaurant's character. I am leaving this review to share what I personally saw and experienced.

The entire dining experience was top notch, exactly the experience I always have. Ziggy knows how to make the customers dining experience an "experience", I have never had a bad one, from the service down to the cleanliness of the entire place. First of all, Pho One has never disappointed me. I have made a strong relation with the owners and they are very friendly, there's no doubt about that. The food couldn't get any better. Not only is this restaurant near my home, but it is the best, in my opinion, vietnamese place that I've been to. Believe me, I have gone down to bellaire multiple times and this place makes my life easy. I don't have to drive an extra 10 minutes to Bellaire when Pho One is perfect, both in friendliness and quality! I couldn't help notice some of the reviews here, like Glenn. How are you calling these people arrogant? I believe you are mistaking or you enjoy bringing businesses down. And I also noticed your previous commentary, "I will not be back" yet you went there again and continue this sort of bigotry? Excuse my anger, but I just feel like this place deserves better reviews. And by the way, we ARE in a recession. Do you expect prices as low as fast foods? I believe this is a restaurant. I'm a an accountant and I know how hard business can be in this harsh recession. My friends and I were regulars, but we're never going back there again. When my friend asked the waitress (whom I think the mother of the family) for water, she kept ignoring. We raised our voice to call her, and she turned around and gave the meanest look. My friend didn't order any food, but my other friend and I did. We even asked her if she was mad and if she's okay, but she almost yelled at us and said "What? Yes! I'm VERY VERY OKAY!" When we were paying, I told a guy who works there that we didn't like her attitude and we're not coming back again, and the guy told us that he didn't like us coming either because we normally split the check. He also accused us for being rude to the "old Asian lady" even though we're Asians ourselves. We asked for a freaking cup of water in a nice way. Maybe, she didn't like us raising our voice to call her, but what choice did we have since she ignored us first? When I told him we just asked for a cup of water, he said he's sorry to upset customers like us. I have never experienced any restaurants that are rude to their customers like this. read more

I ate 3 different entrees at 3 different days before giving this place a review. I had pho the 1st time. I had a rice plate the 2nd time. I ate the bun thit nuong the 3rd day. Best Pho in town! I usually have the chicken pho with my siracha sauce and hoisen combo. I find that the pho can be salty in other establishments but there's is spot on! Sandwiches are good also. We've been coming here for years and hands down the best. Great little family fun business. read more
