I ordered Papaya Salad and a Chicken Fried Rice from here while on a business trip and was satisfied. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to visit the restaurant in person and was only able to order it via a food delivery service. I'm sure it would be even better in person. The one criteria I am the most skeptical on when dining at Thai restaurants is how true they are to the Thai spice levels. This place does a really good job of accurately describing it. For those that don't know, Thai spice is on a different level. If you normally order spicy at other restaurants, order a mild or medium at Thai restaurants. I ordered hot for my papaya salad and medium for my chicken fried rice. I was sweating throughout my meal. Great job on the spice levels! I wish the chicken fried rice was a bit more flavorful but it was still pretty good. Papaya salad had a great flavor to it. I absolutely love this place! It's one of those restaurants you walk into and instantly know everything's going to be authentic and delicious. I came here for a quick, inexpensive lunch and was not disappointed. The service was great, and while the decor is more on the homey side, it has that comforting mom-and-pop vibe you want when you're looking for authentic, good-value food. Yellow Curry: 9/10 Perfect flavor! A little bit of spice and tons of depth, from the creaminess of the coconut milk to the curry spices. Delicious! My only complaint is that there's a lot of chicken, which is definitely a good problem to have, but I wish the chicken to potato and veggie ratio was better. Pad Thai: 9/10 Also delicious! The savoriness with the lime on top was so good. I do wish I'd ordered it spicier, because "medium" was basically nothing, but the dish itself was still amazing. Triple Spicy Fish: 9/10 Unexpectedly delicious! The fish was flaky and just melted in your mouth. The crust stayed nice and crispy, as long as you eat it quickly, haha(it gets a bit saucey). They described the sauce as sweet and spicy or sweet and sour, and normally I don't like sweet-and-sour anything, but this was a 10/10 sauce. P.S. After driving around town trying to get some cowgirl boots my friend and I were hungry and we stumbled upon this place. It's a quaint family owned restaurant where the service is a little slow but they are friendly and fairly busy. I ordered the fried fish with veggies and rice. It wasn't exactly what I expected I didn't love it and probably wouldn't order it again but it was definitely made fresh. My friend said her pad thai was great. I had ordered a herbal tea not pictured because the waiter kept forgetting it until I left lol. My wife and I LOVE Little Thai Cafe! This is our favorite Thai spot in Houston. It's a bit unassuming but the food is amazing. Our favorites are the pad see ew, pad Thai, and LT spicy wings. The wings are a must order every time we come! They come out so crispy and the sauce is freakin' delicious. I don't even care for pad thai but I'm always picking at my wife's plate when we eat here. I am a Thai food connoisseur and have never tasted panang curry that tastes so different and off putting. The panang curry had peas, carrots, and bell peppers. I can tell the bell peppers are fresh but the carrot and peas were clearly from a frozen veggie bag. The pad see ew tastes like it's old but maybe it's not and just has too much fish sauce or something. It tastes like ocean but it's also a tofu pad see ew. So I'm as much of a Thai snob as an American who has never been to Thailand can be. I've lived a lot of different places and have tried a lot of Thai food. This place is an instant favorite for this recent transplant to Houston. What I got: Pork, shrimp rolls and Shrimp Pad Thai (hot). First visit, I wasn't really impressed with the SPT. The rolls though....the rolls though....the rolls though. PHE. NOM. EN. AL!!! I would go there just for the rolls. Straight up. Second visit: same thing. My wife also got SPT mild. I know I know...great review for two menu items. But I eat what I eat, ya know? And she had never eaten Thai, so she ate what I ate too. She loved it. And TBH, tasting her mild gave me a better appreciation for the flavor of the overall dish. I live close, so I grab and go. I see people sitting and eating there, but I have no input on ambiance. Affordable, generous portions, and attentive service!! We were pleasantly surprised with how affordable everything was and the amount of food. They also put a lot of care into their flavour, spices, and offering authentic Thai dishes. I got the curry noodle soup, kind of like Khao Soi and bf got pad see ew. Both were pretty tasty!! Not sure what it is exactly but Khao soi lacked some vibrance in the broth, felt like something was missing a bit or there was an old ingredient in there. It was good but I normally love this dish but felt like something was missing that day. I wish they have more crunchy noodle too!! But it was still pretty good but I think something was old or missing Pad see ew was pretty good but wish there was more of that balance of sweet and savoury in usual dishes. This place quickly became a regular spot for me and my roommate as soon as we tried it. Their tom yum soup is seriously so good. It's hard to find one that has a nice balance in flavor that's not too sour or too sweet. However the shrimp in the soup seemed way overcooked. I've tried the shrimp, chicken, and tofu tom yum soup and tofu is definitely the best option. Also their mango sticky rice is the best!!! The rice is sticky and moist (another place I went to had DRY rice, it was almost like rice cake and I couldn't eat it). If you don't like super sweet, ask for the sauce on the side bc they do put a lot of sauce. Sometimes we go here just for the mango sticky rice. In my opinion, the pad thai is better than the pad see ew. The pad see ew broccoli was very bitter and not enjoyable. The pad woon sen is good as well. Beware if you ask for hot and spicy, it will actually be spicy, not white people spicy lol read more

I ordered the chicken pad Thai and asked for it to be medium spice. It was not spicy at all. Even asked for chili spice but it's better when it's tossed in when it's being cooked. It lacked a lot of flavor. Another con is there was no option for combination pad Thai or it wasn't listed as a special. The service wasn't too great and overall it was just alright. Not really much to say but if you're trying to get something under 10$ and maybe even 8$ then come here. You're guaranteed to be full without spending so much. I came here a few days ago and got the chicken pad thai and chicken green curry. The food was really good and hot. They were generous with their portion size and was really happy. I came back again a few days later to try their eggplant basil with tofu and "Tom yum soup". The eggplant basil was decent however the soup was a big let down. It tasted like sugar water. It was flavorless and bland. The broth looks dirty and doesn't look fresh. I think they charged extra for shrimp although these soup is suppose to come with it. It was the worse soup I had and even my instant mama Tom yum ramen soup taste better. When I look at the receipt its label as hot and sour but it's not the hot and sour you would think that you get at a chinese restaurant. After this experience it left me with a disappointing feeling..it was $20 for the two entree when the menu says it's $8.99 for eggplant basil and $4.99 for soup. Not sure how it added up to $20 but they don't give receipt..only your cc receipt. Update : they updated their pricing. Also spicy isn't spicy..more like mild fyi. read more

A little out of the way for me but a good little spot if you've got a craving for some Thai. I opted for the pad see ew and the yellow curry, both mild and they turned out pretty good! Both had a great flavor and quantity was large - we ended up with enough leftovers for enough for 2 meals for the both of us. I will say that the curry turned out really runny, as though it were watered down, but it still tasted good. Service is friendly and food came out super fast. This was at about 5pm on a weeknight and I was the only one there. If you order $35 or more, they'll throw in some spring rolls. Nice little stop here. read more

A good, reliable neighborhood Thai spot. The restaurant is not big or fancy. We've dined in and did takeout a few times. I appreciate the fact that it's not too expensive and you get a good size portion. My favorite item on the menu is the Swai fish. It's around $20 and you get a few nice pieces of swai fish steaks in a sweet pepper sauce. I order that and can have over a 2-3 day period. Also, the owners are pretty nice. There's a main guy that takes the order and while a bit awkward the first time is actually very nice. For example of the times I went there, I placed my order and went back to the car b/c my children were sleeping in the car. Without informing him or asking, he brought my food to the car. I will always appreciate kind service. For that singular act of kindness, plus their good being good....they get my support. read more

I am a fan of Thai food and this location provides exceptional food & service. I am happy that I've found this place, it is located in the Westchase area which makes it convenient for me since I'm 7 minutes away. I usually get the Pad kee mao with shrimp, Tom yum soup, and to quench my thirst I can't miss out of their Thai Tea. I don't know if this is a ma and pa restaurant but they really cook from the soul, especially the Tom Yum Soup; I like how they didn't make it extremely sour to the point where it's inedible.
