This place is the worse when it comes to customer service. We chose this spot for lunch twice this month because we love Vietnamese sandwich. Not that they have great sandwiches with a few thin slices of meat for $5 bucks, but rather it's close to my office. Unfortunately, today we call it a quit this second time around. What happened was they messed up our takeout order. My co-worker strictly doesn't eat pork ended up having one. I had to call back to complain about it, walk back into the elevator, to my car and drove all the way back to get the grilled chicken sandwich that we originally ordered for. Guess what? The old guy, probably the owner, handed me the new sandwich without putting it in the plastic bag like they normally would with an attitude and the edgy look. I tried to stay cool for the inconvenience they caused me but then with that? I could no longer contain myself. I go "can I have a bag?" with an angry voice. Then the old guy started raising his voice and sort of threw the bag at me in front of his dine-in customers and said: "A mistake like this only happened once in a while and we already said sorry, what is the big deal? Don't come back." I said "It is a big deal. Believe me, I will never come back here and I will be sure to rate you." I knew it wasn't worth it to argue with that totally no business skill, old guy. But as a consumer, I truly believe any customer has a right to be upset especially when it comes down to something like this. Obviously, he doesn't know how to handle an upset customer when he couldn't even handle himself. I wonder how could this place survives all these years with all those low ratings they got. I'm so NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone wanting to try Vietnamese in this hood. There are plenty more down the road where you can find yourself a much cleaner, better atmosphere, better service, and better food selections - Pho & Crab Restaurant, for example. Please save yourself from the disappointment and avoid foul smells from their mopping bucket during the open hour trying to mop their floor when I was there last week for the first time try out. I haven't found a better place for vegan pho till this past weekend! We found Pho One tucked away behind the gas station and this little cafe was packed full of people! The owners were so nice, they greeted us and made us feel so welcome. The hot tea was delicious but the pho, wow it was AMAZING! It was full of vegetables and vegetable broth for my dietary needs. I was very impressed with the conversation and welcoming environment as I haven't found that here in Houston yet. This is definitely my pho restaurant choice! read more

I've come here twice and both times I was disappointed in the food. The pho broth lacked the aromatic flavor and spices. The vermicelli is too spaghetti like and the spring roll paper is chewy. Overall the food is very bland. Not impressed enough to return. I think B10 further down Westheimer is much better in quality and taste as well as Le Viet. Also did not appreciate being forced to spend $10 to use my Visa card. read more

Due to the proximity to my office, I stop in here not infrequently for lunch and never leave hungry or dissatisfied. The lemon grass beef spring rolls are quite good as are the chicken spring rolls. Their sandwiches are quite the bargain at less than $4; they do not skimp on the meat and they are really tasty. Other times, I have had the pho ga and think it is quite good and as large as the other places. Yet at other times, I had the lemon grass vermicelli bowl that did not disappoint though I wish it had more meat. As a bonus, it is owned and operated by a family who try hard to provide good service. Oh, the tea is good too. read more

It is very hard to find a pho place with a veggie broth. So I was really happy to see that they gave you this option here. Most of the time all the broths are premade with meat, so even if you wanted veggie, you are out of luck. Their veggie pho is really good, we got it with noodles and were not disappointed. I always like the fresh veggies they give you on the side to add in. They also have veggie spring rolls, and two different lime drinks that were really good...I liked the one with sugar in it more though. They have other veggie options on the menu if you want, I might give them a try sometime, however I love their pho so that will be my go to here. read more

My normal Pho parking lot was full so I drove a little further to Pho One. It was pretty busy inside but I did get a seat right away at lunch hour. I got a regular size which is 16oz....seemed small. Got tendon and was happy with the amount they put in. Added meatballs for a buck...not bad. Broth was good. Drop check at table and you go to register to pay. read more

The Hubby and his parents flew to Texas to visit some friends and came across this restaurant for dinner. They said the food was pretty good and better than any of the other Vietnamese restaurants in LA. He was very impressed not only with the quality and taste of the food, but that the staff took pride in serving their clients as well. So, after a long and trying day, I'm getting off of Metro near Westheimer Rd and Wilcrest Drive. It's time for supper, and my roommate had mentioned that he had enjoyed Pho One. So, I'm in. I enter, am graciously asked to sit anywhere I like, and presented with a menu... Menu has almost all of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, but I settled for the Spring Rolls with Shrimp, and Pho with medium sliced beef. Topped with an Iced coffe with condensed milk. No sugar in the coffee which works perfectly for me. Spring Rolls arrive just after the coffee, and the peanut sauce is perfect. Hot, well blended with hot oil, and the rolls are tight and tasty. The coffee is stirred, and poured over ice, just as the medium sized bowl of Pho arrives at my table. I pull the onions out, as it's not a favored vegetable for me, add the fresh crisp bean sprouts, the lemongrass leaves, and the lime juice. Then a teaspoon of Rooster Sauce, and a few drops of the brown sauce, and stir with the colorful green chopsticks provided. First bite, and I'm transported to a small home in Edmonton Alberta Canada, where I first enjoyed home cooked Vietnamese food. Awesome. No more talking for me, I'm too busy eating. I'll be eating here again, and again. This was a Wednesday night, around 6:30 PM, so I'm not sure how the service might be on a busier night. Still the food was great, the Owner/Manager checked on every table, and that's good service in my book. read more

I work nearby and always wanted to give it a try but the inconsistent reviews have always turned me away. Short on time for lunch I decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed. I ordered the spring rolls and pho tai bo vien. The spring rolls were the size of a roll of quarters and they really put little meat inside. For the price of the springs rolls, it's not worth it. The pho tai bo vien was not great either. The pho is already more expensive than most places in Bellaire (which is less than 3 miles away). Meatballs are an extra $1.00 if you want it in your pho so it ended up being more expensive. The broth had no flavor. In summary, I would never go here nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and drive to Bellaire where you get better quality food for a lot cheaper. read more

A small mom and pop joint which is super casual and has a great atmosphere. I first came here a couple of years ago with a good friend and he told me they have the best Com Thit Noung in town. So that's what we got, and that's what we get every time we come. It's always been great and never disappoints. Second time to come to this location. I ordered half an order of egg rolls and pho for lunch. When i took my first bite out of my egg roll, I bit something hard and pulled out a piece of metal out of my mouth. It was the size of a click pen tip! I don't have fillings or false teeth and I am pregnant. I immediately told one of the brothers working there and he came back saying they didn't know where the metal came from, but it probably came from the company that grinds their meat. He asked me if I wanted more egg rolls, I said no. My pho came out and I ate it- no complaints. was extremely hungry and tried to give them a second chance. When I got up to pay, they told me they weren't going to charge me for my egg rolls, but I needed to buy something else to meet the $10 minimum. WHAT? Instead of just taking care of my meal, they insisted that I either walked to the gas station to get cash or buy a drink or dessert in order to pay. I told them I didn't want to purchase anything else from them due to the fact that I had a pen tip size piece of metal in my food and I was willing to pay for my soup only- which was under $10. I also explained that I put my unborn child in danger, yet they seemed not to care. After them threatening to call the police, yelling at me in my face and causing more of a scene than what was necessary, the brother who I initially told about the metal said ,"I have unlocked my credit card machine and I will only charge you for your soup." For them to be so cheap as to not want to pay the small retailers credit card fee over a situation like this shows the lack of customer care at this establishment. If you want pho, just to go Bellaire where the people are nice and the soup is way better. read more

My favorite place in Houston. They're so good! Their foods are so delicious. The owner is very nice. I've been going there for 5years. Every time I go there I don't regret. When I brought it to the attention of the owner, he said it was from the grill they use to cook the meat and he said just once that he was sorry about it, that's it. I was in the mood for pho last night so I pulled out my trusty yelp app and looked for pho options around the area I was in. Pho One popped up and was the closest so I decided that I would go there. I figured I should call the order in so on the first call I just knew what I wanted so I asked for that but the language barrier definitely created confusion. So I hung up and googled the menu. I wrote down the letter of the item I wanted and called back. Boom! that worked. I asked for the Bun Ga Nuong with extra sauce. When I picked up my order I asked if the extra sauce was in there and he told me yes. I felt like I should check but the yes he gave me just seemed so honest. I should have checked because there was definitely no extra sauce in there. Outside of them leaving out my sauce I enjoyed my meal. Very affordable and rather tasty. read more

My favorite Pho in the city. I usually order a large P1 (beef pho), beef spring rolls, and a glass of their jasmine iced tea w/ lime juice. This is my favorite Pho in the city. Like someone else mentioned, the broth is light and a little less rich, but for whatever reason I think this makes it better. I always get medium rare beef. It is arranged on top of the noodles, not submerged in the broth, so I can decide how done I want it to get. All of the ingredients are very fresh and I never have a problem getting extra limes, unlike some other places. The spring rolls are pretty good and what you'd expect from any Vietnamese place. The iced tea with lime is amazing. If you aren't sure of what you want, ask the guy who owns the place. He won't steer you wrong. read more
