2.5 stars. Place and food aesthetic wise is beautiful ! We tried the stone bone pho as well as regular pho and the build you on fresh summer rolls . Taste is definitely below average and on the more expensive side. I'd say only come here for the pics lol . The other bonus is it is opened relatively late compare to others in the same area! ( 11pm on a Sat! ) Oh and there were a lot of fruits flies swarming around :(

Wow the decor of this restaurant is so fancy! From the floor to ceiling, the design seems so well thought out. It feels very comfortable and like you're going out for a nice meal. The dishes come out very well presented too. We tried the dac biet pho XL and the vermicelli with grilled chicken. As a side we got the butter fried squid. The vermicelli was a big bowl and tasted really good. I especially liked the beef wrapped in the green thing. And the spring roll was crunchy. The pho came in a huge bowl and we enjoyed it too. The squid was deep fried and I liked that there was the option to choose just butter or salty. Since we ordered butter, it wasn't salty which was nice. The one downside was that I found a piece of metal in the squid batter. We were eating with our kid so this could have been dangerous. Glad we caught it and removed it.

Hidden Gem in Thornhill! Authentic Food with a fair amount of food in each dish. Their BÚN CÁ HAI PHÒNG (vermicelli soup w/ fish fillet, fish cakes and fresh herbs) may be my new fave here because I love dill & herbs in soup! Their Boneless Chicken Feet Salad was light and refreshing. This restaurant has been our recent go-to Vietnamese Restaurant in between Thornhill & North York! Lots of parking spots, big tables, authentic food and eye-catching interior, friendly staff! And they even have Lobster Pho and worth trying if you're not allergic to lobsters like I am, but many other good options to choose from! Will visit again!

Would I recommend? No How is the taste? This shop used to be good, then the quality became inconsistent, but I would say now it is consistently bad. Especially their bun bo hue went from good to horrible Unfortunately I would say don't try this shop anymore if you are reading this review to decide to visit this shop How's the atmosphere? atmosphere is good, but food is too crappy so not worth it how the service? normal

Fancy Vietnamese restaurant. I like the decoration and the ambience. The food is put in fancy hot pot and bamboo tray. Food is good and very filling. I saw 2 adult men share a noodle dish. The special of the noodle has beef bone with some meat serve with hot pot. It is tasty. The service is good. There is parking around the restaurant.

First heard about Pho Ngon Dat Viet on social media, and from the photos/videos online, the interior and food presentation looked really amazing - so we decided to check it out the last Monday. I did previously try to make a reservation via phone but no one answers. Upon walking in, the restaurant is huge! We opt to sit by the window for more sunlight. The servers are friendly and courteous but they are not fluent in English, so it was a bit hard to communicate. The food presentation is definitely on point. The flavours are definitely a little different from what I'm used to. They have a purple fish sauce that came with the Bun Dau Mam Tom (#24), which was quite interesting! I loved the fried tofu squares from that platter the most! The Bun Bo Ganh (#28) came in a piping hot stone bowl, with a huge bone-in beef rib, and cute baskets holding the noodles and the meats. The soup base was lightly and less spicy than what I'm used to, which was still pretty good. I really enjoyed the Bun-Vermicelli (#17) with spring roll, grilled pork, grilled meat, beef roll w/ herb leaves. I would also recommend the Coi Cuon - Fresh Rolls (#01).

The hype here is real, people. Our party of 7 visited PNDV last night for a celebratory dinner. I made a reservation for a Saturday dinner which was honored without an issue. The waiter/waitress were all very sweet and tried their best but I would have to agree with a few of other reviewers that there is more work to be had there. Since we were a party of 7 and had ordered lots of food, it would have been helpful to have the wait staff clearing empty bowls and plates promptly so our table was not overflowing. We ordered a variety of menu items and they were all very very good. My only recommendation for the restaurant would be to better prepare the lobster for the patrons so it's easier to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we look forward to our next visit.

Pho Ngon Dat Viet is truly a great choice when you want to invite your guests to enjoy a cozy, charming dining experience. The restaurant is decorated in an Asian style, and the dishes are authentically Vietnamese -- crafted with great care and creativity by the owner, both in quality and presentation. I've been here many times with friends and family. I believe this is a wonderful place to enjoy special Vietnamese cuisine that has made its way around the world. Come and discover the flavors of Vietnam starting right here.

My husband and I came here for lunch over the weekend. This place was very nicely decorated, and true to Vietnamese culture. I loved the ambience and the service was great! The menu is on the pricier side compared to typical Vietnamese restaurants. However, we also found the portions to be on the smaller side. I had the Dac biet pho (special rice noodle soup with everything in it). I noticed that the soup was a bit bland, and the portion size (for a large) was smaller than what you would usually get at other Vietnamese restaurants. I would rate this dish 3/5. My husband ordered the vermicelli with grilled chicken, grilled pork sausage, and a beef roll with herb leaves. There was a generous portion of meats in this dish. However, we found that once again the meats tended to be under seasoned. Also, the vermicelli was served on a very shallow dish, so my husband was still hungry after having this. Again, we would rate this 3/5. While this place sure has the look and feel of a upscale Vietnamese restaurant, but the food left a lot to be desired. With so many other Vietnamese restaurants to visit in the city, I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.

I always love a bowl of Vietnamese Pho soup. Today I decided to try the Pho Ngon Day Viet at 180 Steelers Avenue West in North York, Ontario Canada. I had the worst experience ever at a Vietnamese restaurant. To start, their menu is very limited. I love the rice noodle soup with rare beef and tendons. It doesn't exist in the menu. They serve the soup in a medium size bowl and a very small dish (see the picture). The tea is served in a large glass. It taste horrible, like medicine. Undrinkable. In all, this is the worst Vietnamese restaurant I ever been. I will not recommended to my worst enemy. Honestly, to me doesn't look like Vietnamese. It's more of a Chinese business advertised as Vietnamese. That's my personal impression.

Thu The Met. Presentation looks good but the beef shank has totally GONE BAD! Spoil meat
    Yan Y.

Purposely choose this place to treat my friend for lunch today after seeing all the hype on "little red book". I normally don't write reviews. But this place is just a big disappointment. Thu The Met It only included 6 wrapping rice papers but how is 6 small wrapping rice papers suppose to b enough for the that fillings, like are you suppose to eat the stuff without the wrap? THE BEEF SHANK has totally gone bad. The smell was so bad. Told the server n he smelt it n brought back into the kitchen...I'm sure he smelt something too. However when he comes back out he said how its "normal" that it smells like that b/c they use a special vinegar sauce? It's like right...I had no clue that "spoiled meat" flavour has became a new flavour that chef's are making. Like the presentation looks nice but boy it was some nasty meat. Pho special The soup broth kind of taste like Chinese bbq roast duck....pretty unique to me Fried squid with butter Taste wise its not bad but just don't expect it to be crispy. It's rather soggy...the batter doesn't seem to mix very well with the butter texture wise. Fried chicken wings Seems like it wasn't even fried at all not even pan fry. It's more slow cooked wings with sauce...n it wasn't fully cook. Boneless Chicken feet salad One of the best dish out of the rest sweet and sour. Which is pretty refreshing. Ice Coffee Didn't bother taking a picture of it. Save that $6! Unless if you want to pay for some sugar water. Extremely water down coffee with so call condensed milk that literally state like simple syrup. Service It's meh but the server didn't really do much about the beef shank situation. Just said the spoil meat smell is normal n walked off. I don't really know how to comment on it not like he ignored us but not like he did much either. Ambiance Besides the quality of the food the place is pretty nice place overall. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place at all if your actually looking for some good viet food. But if your just looking to feed your camera its not a bad choice.

I've been meaning to try this place as I saw many people posting about their food. The space is big for an Asian restaurant in that area! Great vibe for dates and gatherings. They have many big tables for larger groups as well. The food was on the pricier end for viet food but it tasted pretty good and the portions were decent sizes. The one thing that was odd was that the tea was luke warm and tasteless. We asked for hot tea but they told us this was how they made their tea.

So much for that dinner rush. Also no one ever came to check on us. Had to flag down for anything even the check. Though servers were grouped together on the side talking most of the time. Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5
