I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai chocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. They also sell other various desserts (cakes, scones, cookies, etc.) as well as have a large selection of drinks (coffee, sparkling drinks, iced teas, Kream spanner, ice cream lattes). The place is primarily take out only and if you buy 6 cube croissants it is tax free. I stopped by Kream Desserts on a Monday afternoon. I got overwhelmed by the amount of cube croissant flavours all neatly on display. It was so hard choosing which one to get (I only wanted one!). I couldn't decide if I wanted a cube croissant, a cookie, or something else. I finally opted for a earl grey cube croissant. Some desserts are self-serve like the croissants where you grab a tray and use the communal tongs hung near the display. Other desserts like cakes and their drinks you'll have to ask staff. Staff were patient with me as I got overwhelmed with the selection of desserts in the small shop. I paid and then was on my way. I had my cube croissant a while later and it was delicious. I got a matcha cream croissant cube here -- loved the generous amount of cream in it! And the flavoring was great: not too sweet, with plenty of matcha. The "croissant" part was slightly dry, though. And there is no place to sit in this shop, which isn't very convenient if you don't live nearby. If you order one of these cubes to go, along with a latte, you'll probably have to walk around for several blocks to find a spot to sit and enjoy them. (This would be pretty rough to do during a Toronto winter!) Service was not very friendly, but I suppose that is in line with counter service. Kream still has their buy one get one free Earl Grey and Taro Lunar New Year special until Feb. 09 for 5.50$. We got it iced (can be warm as well) and it was smooth and silky. The Earl Grey was very smooth and fragrant and the latte wasn't a problem for me (being a bit lactose intolerant). The taro seems like the real stuff, it wasn't chalky and the color wasn't over the top artificial. The drink cups were a decent size but the cup lid is a bit flimsy. The C(K)ream in the Milk Kream Bomb was light, fluffy and not oily. Like Maritozzi. It just harmonizes the outer light buttery croissant and melt in the mouth. Many are familiar, but generally have some type of dairy ("Kream") with them. I had a cream brulee dessert. They really nailed the toasted sugar aspect, but I found the pastry a bit chewy. The cube croissant craze reached New York after its start in the UK and our prices for one croissant were 12-13 USD so naturally when I found out Canada had their own cube croissants with over a dozen flavors for a fraction of the cost I was THERE. Initially when I tried the croissants the flavor wasn't really all there but upon letting it sit (and post refrigeration) the flavors were alot more apparent. They did not skimp at all with the cream filling and I absolutely loved that. While Kream is mainly known for it's different flavoured block croissants (and rightfully so - got the tiramisu and yuzu, and the cream filling in both was generous, the flavours were distinct, though the croissants were a bit hard to eat), the real winner here is the spanner. Got the valhrona chocolate spanner and it was such a richly thick cream-milk mix, was filled with chocolate chips, and used distinctly different and higher quality ingredients. This Korean dessert cafe had its soft opening on 2023-04-28. They sell Korean desserts and some coffee-based drinks. It is meant for takeout only, but there are some small counters and a photography area to take photos and videos. The desserts they sell are Kream Bomb, Roll Cake, and Cake In Case. Any cream or milk they use are direct from a farm. During their soft opening period, all their desserts are 10% off. I ordered the following: 1. Strawberry Kream Bomb ($6.50 - 10%). 2. Matcha Kream Spanner ($7.50). The Strawberry Kream Bomb had freshly sliced strawberries on top of their fresh cream on a croissant cube. Inside the cube was more cream. All their cubes are 7 cm on each edge. I could definitely taste the freshness. The Matcha Kream Spanner is a chilled drink with ice cubes and a milk & cream mixture. Then, matcha syrup is poured into the cup. There is a good matcha taste. The entire drink is very refreshing. The Awesome Milk Kream Bomb ($5.50) is the original cube with cream. I also saw that they had Fig Kream Bombs ($6.90). A Roll Cake costs 4" for $15.00 and 6" for $22.00. A Cake In Case costs $7.90. There is no free WiFi. The service was kind. The croissants are surprisingly good. They're crispy, and the insides are very creamy. They really load it with cream inside. I recommend the taro if you prefer something on the light side, the cream also has a strong taro flavour. We also got a matcha and taro latte. The matcha latte is sweet with a strong green tea taste. The taro latte tastes similar to the taro kream bomb, just more mild. Overall, great food and great experience. Two croissants and two drinks came out to $19. read more

They have changed the layout recently so it's self serve - that is, you pick your own cubes with your tongs and then bring it up to the cash register. I tried the pistachio cube which was around $6. If you order 6 or more, you don't have to pay tax (13% discount). Generally pretty good - not overly buttery although there is a lot of cream inside. Kream is a specialty dessert place that opened up recently, just north of Yonge and College. I have been hearing positive things so I wanted to try out - and I am so glad I stopped by! They sell croissant cubes stuffed inside with cream, in a range of flavours like milk, strawberry, chocolate, caramel, black sesame, and tiramisu - to name some that come to mind. I tried the milk flavour cube and it was SO good!! Pastry itself was perfect and it was stuffed full with the cream, which was the best cream I've had in a pastry. It was so fresh, fluffy, and flavourful. An amazing combination! I recommend that you eat the cube by tearing bits of the pastry with your hands and dipping into the cream (rather than biting in since it can get messy that way). I thought I would take mine to go but ended up eating it all there - I couldn't stop after I had my first bite! They also have hot and cold coffee and tea-based drinks. We tried the matcha kream spanner (iced) as well as the "sunny ade" drink they had as a special summer feature drink. Both were amazing! The matcha had a great flavour, I loved the cream that topped the drink - it felt extra decadent. The sunny ade was super refreshing, with orange and passionfruit flavours, with passion fruit seeds added in. The citrus was so good and perfect for a hot day. They make all of their croissants fresh each day. I think the cream is all from local dairy farms. The owners are also the sweetest couple, and work there alongside their staff. There is also such a cute ambiance inside - I saw a bunch of people taking photos with their desserts. There are tables where you can put your drinks down while you eat your croissant cube! This is the cutest desert shop! It doesn't have any seating so it's more of a quick grab-and-go kind of store. The shop and decor are aesthetically pleasing and Instagram-worthy. The shop sells these funky "cube" croissants that are filled with different flavoured creams on the inside. It's a self-serve store which adds to the experience instead of taking away from it. We tried the fig, raspberry and yuza flavoured cube croissants- and the winner went to fig, followed by raspberry (the yuza had an odd lemon taste- not inedible but I wouldn't buy that particular one again). I was walking up Yonge Street and stumbled by this cafe by chance. Their display case had a large selection of cube croissants in various flavours which is so pretty to look at! After much thinking, I decided to buy the yuzu flavoured one. I like how their croissant isn't massive but still a good size to share. I stopped by here after a lunch downtown as a recommendation from my cousin. The specialty here seems to be croissants in the shape of a cube. They have many different flavours to choose from ranging from sweet to savoury. I decided to go with the lotus biscoff flavour because who doesn't love these cookies? Anyways the croissant itself was nice and flaky. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the inside was stuffed with quite a lot of cream that tasted like the cookie. Great decor. Great staff, very friendly. The dessert options are great. Yet i was little disappointed to the croissant cube. I wished the size of the cube a bit smaller because The current size, it didnt look like it is good for 2 ppl but it was too much for 1 person, in my opinion. Also i was expecting the cream inside follows the flavour that assigned to but it doesn't. I got a tiramisu and a lotus biscoff. I was expecting more exciting flavour inside, yet it was more like regular cream inside. There is no easy way to eat this without a mess. its like either i eat the croissant and the cream doesn't follow the bread when i tear it. The bread is somewhat chewy but i think thats only because i didn't put it a oven or airfryer. so i ended up eating the bread by itself and scope the cream which i did find there are too much cream in one serving. I knew it was fully creamed inside, i just didnt know it was that heavy altogether. I have no doubt that their croissants are really good, maybe if the cream contains a bit more of the flavours and maybe lesser cream. and probably i would enjoy it more.
