I heard of this place and I heard good things so I had to try to. We got the tiramisu croissant and pistachio wheel crossaint. You have to get here early because a line starts forming really quickly, the croissants are super light and crispy on the outside and the filling is so good and what I like about it is not too sweet. The pistachio croissant was my favourite, the filling was incredible and the pastry was super light. I got the matcha tiramisu latte and a pistachio croissant. The matcha tiramisu latte is one of their more popular drinks accordingly to the barista who took my order. It comes with a lady finger on top which was nice to dip into the drink. Under the foam layer, it seemed like there was like a thicker cold foam/whip. The pistachio croissant was heavily topped with nuts and was filled with pistachio cream - very strong pistachio flavour all around! There's about six seats in the whole place, in a bizarre layout, and the queue management is a bit difficult while waiting for orders, and the coffee was meh, but the croissants-cum-fancy-pastries are sui generis and worth the visit all by themselves. Little Pebbles is one of my favourite spots in Toronto especially for their delicious croissants. After hearing about Little Pebbles opening up a new location nearby, I immediately had to give it a try! I really love their Kensington Market location but it is mostly a takeout spot so I'm glad there's a sit-in area at this new location. Raspberry Chocolate Cake: This is their Mother's Day exclusive cake that I decided to check it out. Admittedly I'm not a big chocolate person but still wanted to give it a try. The cake was quite good. Very diverse texture with their base going well with the rest. I wasn't a big fan of the topper but still overall a good cake especially if you like fruity chocolate flavours. Mango Passionfruit: With the warm weather, they have some refreshing drinks in their selection. The drink was a soda base drink with mango and passionfruit puree mixed in. Was pretty refreshing especially since it was a warm day when I visited! Downside though I do feel like it's a bit overpriced but still tasted good. There was a plenty of seating and saw some outlets by the window seating. I definitely feel like the spot is perfect both for working and catching up with a friend. Amazing amazing lattes, matchas and pastries! In Kensington Market on Baldwin Street. It's a small place with big flavors. They make their own baked goods. Their pastries are large, moist and creative. The details and care on their croissants are beyond me. The baker is a perfectionist. For something different try a cube croissant (aka a loaf). They even make fresh mochi! I like the fresh strawberry mochi. Two bites of heaven. Lots of varieties of drinks. I suggest asking them to make the obviously sweet drinks less sweet, but even standard they are great. I like the tiramisu latte and tiramisu matcha. Both are served with a cookie! During the winter I ask for the drink extra hot. That is my coffee secret for better tasting drinks from all coffee shops. There is a Jimmy's coffee across the street. Cute cafe with Asian inspired pastries!! Got the black sesame croissant and mango passionfruit wheel croissant. Service was kind and quick, probably only seating for about 6 to fit comfortably. The black sesame croissant was rich with a black sesame cream that was present throughout the croissant. Lots of layers. I wish it was more of a black sesame custard (instead of a black sesame whipped cream) which would be a bit richer. Otherwise it was pretty good. The mango passionfruit wheel was also tasty, felt more mango flavored than passionfruit. Really enjoyed the custard in that. Personally I find wheel croissants difficult to eat, but this wasn't had. I LOVE this cafe so much! They have fun croissant shapes/flavors and their tiramisu latte is heavenly. We were in Toronto for 4 days and we came here 3x. The people who work here are super nice and the space is very cute and cozy. There were Christmas decor and random cat decor on the tables! The tiramisu lattes are incredible! We didn't mix the amaretto syrup on the bottom so the drink was a perfect not too sweet level. My boyfriend had an epiphany as he finished the drink because the amaretto syrup has been slowly melting into the drink and he was hit with a burst of flavor towards the end where the syrup settled. He loved it! We returned two more times for the tiramisu latte. We also got the matcha tiramisu lattes and black sesame latte were also great! The stars of the show have to be the croissants! There were so many in the displays and they all looked delicious. Fun fact they taste as great as they look! We got the matcha raspberry cube croissant (fun shape, raspberry tartness goes well with matcha), mango passion fruit wheel croissant (this has to be my favorite because tropical flavors are so refreshing!), black sesame croissant (I'm a sucker for black sesame anything and this one has a rich flavor), pistachio croissant (delish!), yuzu coconut croissant (this one was so fun since I love yuzu but my brother has a nut allergy and there might've been Nutella in there?), cheesecake was standard but the black sesame chiffon cake with mascarpone cream was unreal (rich black sesame flavor)! Saw the insane hype on insta about this place so definitely had to try it. The fact that I had to wait outside before I could actually enter told me that it must be good. Seating is limited and the place is pretty tiny (no bathroom!) but is heaving with people mainly wanting to have the viral croissants. The range was insane. Tuna onigiri as a croissant, the viral circle and cube croissants as well as SO many flavours. And everything looked so good. I opted for a strawberry latte and tiramisu croissant. Didn't realize strawberry latte meant strawberry and milk, but it was pretty good. Would've been better with a shot of espresso but I know for next time! The tiramisu croissant was creamy and rich with just the right amount of a coffee kick and not to sweet. But I did expect it to be a little warm instead of freezing cold, and was told by the staff that they can't warm it up (probably due to the cream). A nice bite nevertheless. Having seen this all over Insta, I finally caved and went to try the matcha croissant cube! The cube came with powdered sugar on top and matcha cream inside - there were so many layers in the cube! Definitely an aesthetically pleasing item. The only thing I found was the pastry was a tad on the dry side so not sure how fresh it was, or perhaps the croissant recipe could use a bit more butter. I understand how impressive and difficult it is to have such perfect layers in a croissant (even harder that is shaped in a cube - they even have a wheel version, no idea how they prepare that). Anyway, I also ordered the strawberry matcha latte. This was a great pairing - sweet strawberry pieces mixed with the bitterness of matcha. I have heard and seen the hype recently about round croissants. Did my research and had to try out a cafe while in Toronto. This small cafe is kind of in an Alleyway where Kensington Market and Chinatown is located. I came later that day and was a bit worried that they would run out of round croissant. It seems that they change flavor daily. Two options left and I got the mango flavor...not what I wanted but just wanted to try. My brother wanted regular strawberry croissant. The croissants weren't overly flakey but very soft. It wasn't too buttery/oily like usual ones I get. I thought it was a bit too sweet for me. I would recommend sharing it. Worth a try. read more

Their tiny storefront is easy to miss but feels like a small treasure trove once you enter (with just room for maybe 2-3 customers at a time). And instead of telling us what they did have available, the person at the register just kept saying "we don't have that" when we asked for another item on the menu. Little Pebbles is a quaint cafe in Kensington Market that gained some online popularity due to their cube shaped croissants. We dropped by on a Thursday morning and it was actually quite busy. FOOD (4/5) We opted to pick up a hazelnut croissant which was glazed in semi-sweet dark chocolate and topped with hazelnut crumble. The filling was a nutella/chocolate that provided most of the sweetness. Due to the chocolate glaze, the croissant wasn't flaky but was still really fluffy and light. DRINKS (3.5/5) We ordered a Flat White and a hot Black Sesame Latte. The flat white was pretty standard with a flat velvety steamed milk, though I would've preferred some latte art. They use Di Mello beans I believe which is consistent with a lot of other cafes in Toronto. The black sesame latte was not bad. Don't expect the sweet Asian black sesame taste you would find in desserts, but rather a more roasted and earthy flavour. Still tasted good but just wasn't the initial expectation. AMBIENCE (4.5/5) The interior is super quaint with about 6-8 counter seats along the wall. There is a small set of steps inside which does limit the space for guests. There is a nice decorated wall with these sequin-like square things(?) and imitation vines. ACCESSIBILITY (4/5) The cafe is quite easy to get to as it is a short walk from Dundas/Spadina which is accessible by streetcar. Like most places downtown, car accessibity is super limited and I don't recommend trying to find parking around Kensington. PRICE (3.5/5) Price was pretty in line with most other Toronto cafes. The croissant was $6 which is a smidge more than most but nothing crazy. OVERALL (4/5) Little Pebbles is a nice quaint cafe with great pastry selections and good coffee. I loved how everything in this bakery looked freshly cleaned. No sticky surfaces, no overflowing trash just a bright and well-maintained space. I ordered a cinnamon swirl, and it was soft, sweet, and perfectly spiced. The paper liner underneath was clean and dry. Staff cleaned the table right after each guest left.
