Great coffee and treats. Asked for an iced cortado with light sweet and they made it perfect. The cardamom flavor is delicious!

While I really enjoyed the cardamom flavour at first and it inspired me to add fresh ground cardamom to more drinks at home, the coffee itself is a wee bit too bitter for my taste. I wish it were a bit more balanced. It is however a very cute little shop to grab a drink and go, and they have some tables outside to meet someone or do a bit of work. I like that they always have seasonally themed greenery outside. Service is speedy. read more

A solid set of different drinks and sweets to choose from. I got the spanish latte and the aroma was just as wonderful as the taste. Scents of cardamom beautifully complements the light taste of this spice. While the price is high, I'd say its a good one-in-a-while early morning stop. Adorable coffee shop near Yonge & Gerrard! I ordered the 'hailed latte' which is a latte with ground cardamon added to it - it adds a nice earthy kick! Milk was perfectly frothed, espresso had a smooth flavour, and latte art was on point. Excellent and friendly service! The barista explained to me that this is a family-owned cafe with one additional location in Riverdale. Inspiration for the name/signature drinks is from on the family's Middle Eastern background: 'hail' means cardamom in Arabic. I always walked past this shop and finally decided to try it. I've gotten the saffron pistachio latte and the Hailed Spanish latte. Both were super delicious and interesting - you definitely have to like cardamom since they have very strong flavours. I didn't know they had such a large dessert and pastry section which was a great surprise. I've gotten their almond cookies, rose shortbread and chocolates as gifts for friends. I also tried their chocolate and Zaatar croissants. The chocolate one was gigantic with two bars of chocolate in there and the zaatar croissant had a strong flavour. read more

This location of Hailed Coffee is located about a min walk away from Yonge/College. They serve a variety of beverages as well as pastries with a Middle Eastern twist. The coffee shop is primarily a take out spot as the space is small. They do have some seating out front with tables and chairs as well. I've been here numerous times for their pastries as well as Hailed drinks (with cardamom). I usually get the Hailed Cappuccino with ground up cardamom (instead of them using the syrup) as I find that I prefer my beverage less sweet. They also do have oat milk for an extra cost as well. Overall, friendly service and staff, delicious coffee and treats. Do try to drop by if you're around the area! read more

Since Hailed opened its doors it has become a staple in our household. Visits to College Park are made so much better with a hot cup of Hailed coffee... and every couple weeks we buy their coffee beans to brew at home as well! Salim has always been such a kind face to see when I stop in with the kids (even behind a mask during covid!) and has on several occasions gone above and beyond with his customer service. Thank you for the ways you have positively contributed to this neighbourhood, and thank you for remaining open and serving us from a distance during quarantine. We had a baby right before quarantine happened and it was a comfort and relief to know we could continue buying our fresh coffee beans to help with the exhaustion of our sleepless nights. Hailed very quickly adapted to social distancing restrictions and helped us maintain a degree of normalcy when everything was made strange and unfamiliar due to COVID. Their dessert collaborations this summer (2020) are gorgeous and so delicious! We will miss you very much when we move. Best wishes! read more

I've become a fan. The shop looked artisan and petit. I didn't think much of it at first but it has really grown on me! Their menu is not huge but every item I ordered tasted amazing. A prime example of a minimal chic coffee shop that does everything right. This location is just grab and go but has plenty of beverage and goody options. Get the cardamom add-in; it's what Hailed is known for and adds an extra touch of flavour and enjoyment to your cup of Joe. Will definitely be going back to try their Arabic coffee! read more

Minuscule closet about the size of a bus shelter, I am rating it more as a takeout "coffee window" than a coffee shop, otherwise I'd have to deduct a star for lack of seating and other limitations of this size format (such not having drip or pour-over, which makes it difficult & costly to try their different beans if one is interested in buying them for brew methods other than espresso...) The little space they have is pleasantly done in soft colours and optimized for merchandising their beans and packaged MiddleEastern sweets. I neither live nor work downtown so I rarely get to sample these places due to their early closing time but I recently had a chance to try couple of them including Hailed. I got the Flat White with their house brand espresso roast. It was well made and you could tell it was from fresh high quality beans though a little bit nondescript & light in that the taste didn't linger after each sip and the coffee buzz didn't quite 'stay with me" after finishing the way it did at Black Canary on Sherbourne. It was somewhat like a Stabucks' Blonde Flat White despite being less milky and considerbaly smaller. I also had a Date cookie (Mamoul?) which was fresh and well balanced although at double the price of Middle Eastern bakeries in the suburbs I had some buyers remorse over it. Disappointed they didn't have Halva. I'm giving them a 4 because the quality is definitely there and they do fill a need for more coffee options for the daytime crowd on this block ( I bet during peak times you CAN'T have too many of these around here...) though TBH I personally experienced it more like a 3. Curiosity satisfied but I doubt I'll be back at this location. Might eventually try other stuff at their bigger Riverdale store which is supposed to have more choices. read more

Lovely little coffee shop with a middle eastern flair! They have Turkish coffee and saffron/pistachio/ rose flavored items in addition to the standard coffees. I got the pistachio saffron latte which was amazing! When you stir in the pistachio you get some nutty goodness with each sip! You know what, this gets a 5 now from a 4, because I just discovered the most amazing thing: Hailed sells matcha. Now, my husband likes coffee, and with the death of the Starbucks at 777 Bay, we went out searching for a very close coffee shop that is open early enough that he could still grab a coffee is we had other things to do. Hailed quickly became his go-to spot, as the staff there are friendly, efficient, the coffee is good, they have a loyalty card where you get the tenth drink free...the list goes on and on. My personal favourite thing about this particular no-nonsense location (no seats!) is just how fast we can get in and out. The only downside was that they didn't have any drinks for me - I can't drink coffee and my go-to caffeine pick-me-up is matcha. All the matcha places near us tend to open much later, 11 am or later, so I can't always wait to grab one if we are on the go in the morning. However, just by accident one day, I saw on Instagram a picture of a matcha latte at Hailed..could it be? Did they just add this to their menu? NO. They've had it THE ENTIRE TIME. But - Hailed, this is where you break my heart! - they don't have it posted! It's like a secret menu item, lol, and I don't understand WHY! So I immediately rushed out to get it, and it was GREAT! Real matcha, the right balance of milk and matcha (you know my biggest complaint is when it just tastes like hot milk...that's green...), and they even have lactose free milk! The drink is expensive ($6.60) but the sizing was appropriate, and I really enjoyed it. (It could have been hotter, another quirk is I like my matcha very warm even though that's not how it's supposed to be made, but I am going to ask next time for extra hot) Apparently, it's very good with condensed milk, so I promise to try that and report back! read more

Easily the best coffee shop in the area. The hailed latte is delicious - The cardamom is a nice touch and a unique offering. The espresso is really lovely and 4/5 times the cortado is actually made properly and at the right temperature. As an aside (if anyone from their team reads this)-I would love for them to have a non-cardamom chocolate chip cookie. The one they currently have is overpowered by the spice and I bet it would actually be the PERFECT cookie without it. read more
