The perfect refreshing drink to cool you down while still giving you that signature Vietnamese caffeine kick. The coconut adds a nice depth and creaminess to the coffee without overpowering it, and the coffee itself is bold, rich, and properly strong. It honestly tastes just like the coffee you'd get in Vietnam. Place is super cozy with lots of seating. I do wish the menu included more popular Vietnamese coffee options like egg coffee or salt cream coffee, because I'd love to see those done here too. Hopefully they add them to the menu in the future.
Absolutely obsessed with this coffee shop! The inside is so cute and the perfect space to catch up with friends. All the staff were friendly and helped me decide on what to order. My drink was absolutely delicious and one of the best coffees I had in Toronto. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!
Somehow did not try the Viet coffee here (it was early evening and thought coffee would not be ideal). It's really close to this shop I grab my glass from (you should also check them out, they're the best) so I would most likely stop by here again. I ended up trying their matcha coconut drink because of the promotion they had (buy one get one free, it was a good deal). The drink itself was refreshing, creamy, and had a nice balance between the earthy matcha and the sweetness from the coconut. It did feel lighter than expected, maybe because of the coconut base. The atmosphere also stands out, it has that nostalgic vibe that people seem to associate with the brand. The drinks are a little pricey without the promotion, and the sweetness might be a bit much depending on what you order (it was a tad bit sweet). But overall, I'd come back to explore more of the menu.
Still one of my favourite coffee shops in Toronto. They have a new matcha line so I got the matcha coconut smoothie and it did not disappoint. Matcha flavour and coconut were strong. Still one of my favourite places to do some computer work. Wifi can be a bit spotty at time, but I still like to work here offline for the vibes. Staff are all super friendly and the service has gotten faster over time.
I have been to the Cong Caphe first in Vietnam and I am so glad they brought it over to us in Toronto. They kept the same asthetics and there is a second floor for more seating. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Coconut coffee and it was so delicious, ecactly like the one in Vietnam. Now they need to bring over one a Highland Coffee over here too!!!
Last year, I tried Vietnamese coffee for the first time and found it seriously delicious, so when I knew I'd be walking by Cong Caphe, I knew I had to pop in and give it a try. They've got a lot of tasty-sounding drinks on their menu, but I was intrigued by the Salted Cream Coffee. And indeed, it's very tasty. It's exactly what I was hoping for, with its rich, creamy flavor that's just sweet enough. However, it was an almost comically tiny beverage. It's not an exaggeration to say I was finished within about a minute of taking my first sip. (In fact, I took three sips and the drink was already finished.) And given that it cost me about eight bucks, I really didn't feel like I got my money's worth. I would consider ordering from Cong Caphe again, but yeesh, do something about those portions, guys.
You cannot go wrong with their $1 vinabrew! It's a quality roast, offered in hot and cold. The promotion runs until the end of the month. I had to swing by to grab myself a cup after lunch the other day. I had their peanut butter latte previously and it was quite memorable. It was a seasonal special. I can't wait to try another drink next time I'm back!
Stopped by this cozy Elm St location after having ramen nearby for lunch. Figured I'd grab a coffee to boost my energy before returning to work. There was a giant line (which I found out after approx 2 min was for ppl waiting to get into the tattoo parlour next door lol) that blocked the door. The girl at the counter walked me through some of their most popular drinks and I told her I didn't want something too sweet. She helped me settle on a new item. An iced peanut butter coffee which sounded like it would actually be good (also something I'd never tried). Here's why I have a mixed feeling about this place. The coffee itself was crazy good. No hint of sweetness. Just smooth, heavy peanut butter and robust coffee flavour with NO bitter aftertaste/curl at all. Where I have issue is the amount of ice that they put in my drink. Yes, it's an iced coffee but just take a look at the pic I posted and you'll be able to see how egregiously they overdid the amount. My cup was damn near 3/4 full of ice. If I did a pour test and poured out the actual liquid itself I'd have maybe 1/3 of a cup of coffee. Charged me $6.05 for dare I say, basically a shot's worth of incredible coffee. I can't say it's justified. Because of the amount of ice and what they charge for this cup, I gotta drop a star (was actually thinking of even giving 3.5 stars rather than 4 but that coffee was amazing). If I knew they were gonna be so sneaky w/ the ice I prolly would've ordered a smoothie in hindsight lol. P.S. I've posted a picture of the cup with JUST the ice after I finished drinking the coffee.
Super cute space I love the decor it's very unique. I do feel bad though right now they do have quite a bit of construction going on around them I almost missed it while I was walking. The staff's pretty friendly. they'll answer any question you want on how to select the best coffee for you. I decided to go for the iced brown coffee it comes in one size. The coffee is rich and strong but it's absolutely a delicious. Before I ordered it the barista did explain to me that it's their second strongest coffee so some people do ask for sweetener or they might add water to thin it out. And I did understand I did add end up adding little bit of water to mine. It comes with condensed milk and it was a little hard to mix into the coffee so I do think that this might have been a better choice served hot they do serve it hot I just chose cold but I imagine it would have been easier to mix the condensed milk into the hot coffee rather than the cold coffee that's the only a thing that I struggled with it took a really long time to mix that condense and milk to get a good consistency
This is an excellent Vietnamese cafe, serving Vietnamese street food and drinks. We especially love their drinks. For their most recent specials, starting 2025-06-20 until 2025-07-13, they were featuring their coconut series smoothies ($7.85 to $8.10). They were on special for only $5.00! We were so excited! The smoothies were so refreshing and coolingly good! We especially love the Coconut Cocoa Smoothie ($7.85) and Coconut Green Rice Smoothie ($8.10), which we ordered at least 5 times each. Who can resist the bargain price of $5.00, especially since Toronto weather has been unseasonably hot?! Every time I've been it's been busy, but there is a lot of seating so it's always been possible to get a spot. Overall a cute little place to grab some coffee with company!
first time at this location, though i've been to their mississauga spot before and already had a good feeling coming in. the staff were friendly from the moment we walked in -- easy, no-pressure kind of service. and the decor is really charming. it has this old fashioned, traditional feel to it that you don't really see a lot anymore. it just has character. the space is on the smaller side when you first walk in, but they do have a downstairs area as well -- i didn't get a chance to check it out this visit, so i can't speak to what it's like down there. i got the brown drink, which was the main reason i came. i'm a fan of vietnamese coffee in general, and it's not always easy to find something like this close to where i work, so having this place nearby is genuinely a win for me. it did not disappoint. they also have banh mi on the menu, which i didn't try this time but is a good enough reason to come back. prices felt pretty standard -- nothing surprising on the bill. overall a really pleasant visit. i'll def come back. happy this location exists!
My friend and I were in the area, saw this place, and said, "why not?" We both got iced drinks, the brown coffee and white coffee. The brown tasted stronger than the white but the white was a bit sweeter. I liked that this place opened up by Yonge street because their other location was a bit far for me and I do not frequent that area to try it out. Interior decor was very unique, you could see the effort that was put into designing the main and downstairs floor. Unique placement of seating as well.
Food: Very surprising flavour. Did not know what to expect. Got the coconut green rice drink. A caffeine less drink. Delicious summer treat. It's the most popular non caffeine drink for a reason. Service: Worker was nice to explain menu to me. Got my drink very quickly. Lots to see inside while waiting. Ambiance: Inside was beautiful. Lots of cultural aspects and swag you can buy. Hubs loves Viet coffee and couldn't pass up giving this place a try. He ordered the coconut coffee - good! The coconut green rice caught kiddo's eye - something different he hadn't tried before. He loves coconut and really liked this drink - said its probably one if the best drinks he's had. He wants to return to try other items. The oastries also looked good. Saw a few people eating the banh mi. I'm sure we'll return to try other items before we leave. read more

Here is my Rappoem™ review on Cong Caphe based on my first-time visit to the establishment (3 Elm St) on May 30th, 2026: [ + ] Ordered an iced matcha latte [ ~ ] with an oat beverage substitution [ + ] Sort of a nice match for ya, (those [ ~ ] wanting a powdered substance to chew on)°¹ [ + ] Though this wouldn't be [ ~ ] my drink of preference [ + ] There are still neat things [ ~ ] I can think of to mention [ + ] From the window seat benches°² [ ~ ] to bookcase-filled desks;°²′¹ [ + ] For a place with limited space,°²′² [ ~ ] The decor still has some freshness°²′³ [ + ] On the upper level, [ ~ ] There is overhead venting;°³ [ + ] But down in the basement, [ ~ ] It's messy and distressing° [ + ] There's some interesting artwork along the wall°′¹ [ + ] But overall; it's like an underground dungeon [ ~ ] And the site is quite dingy°′² [ + ] I'd also be remiss not to mention [ ~ ] That the washroom was so stinky°′³ [ + ] Cong Caphe... There are four glass-top tables (with vintage books displayed within them) that can accommodate 3-4 people. There are also a couple of benches against the wall in the order pick-up area. Opposite to that is the neat window seating / bench area where I was able to make myself comfortable by sitting cross-legged on the seating cushion. °³ Overhead Venting: Sitting directly under the ceiling vents provided a welcome, cooling AC breeze in the tight space. °″ Basement Contrast: The clean and delicate aesthetic of the upper level sharply contrasts with the dingy, dungeon-like basement and stinky washroom. Cong caphe is one of my favourite cafes in Toronto. They have unique drinks and lots of yummy banh mi and pastry options. This time we ordered the iced peanut butter coffee and it was delicious. The coffee was really strong so just beware. Glad that this drink still had a pleasant peanut butter flavour. Highly recommend if you're near the Yonge and Dundas area. read more

Authentic Vietnamese ambiance with very nice Vietnamese and English speaking staff. The coffee is great here. They're consistent with other Vietnamese coffee, strong and flavorful. The brioche pastry was nice with the coffee. Nothing special but decent. read more
Love this charming cafe with a vintage Vietnam theme. Recently we got lured in here with their $1 vina brew, it's really good! Not as intense as Vietnamese coffee, so you can enjoy it black or however you normally drink your coffee, I had mine with milk only. Caveat, I'm not usually a coffee drinker but my SO who does drink daily enjoyed it. Plus it's a great way to give it a try during the promotion period. It may look like seating is limited but they have plenty more seating downstairs. I love the vibe downstairs with the wall of lamps and the cute mini table and chairs. I think it would be a great spot for a coffee date. I've been here a few times and tried their flavoured coffees, which are really good too. Definitely give their unique peanut butter coffee a try, comforting and a great drink to cozy up during the fall season. Their display cabinet of treats are unique too like salted egg yolk or was it pork floss treats from LA LA Bakeshop (I had it last year didn't pay attention if they had it today). They also have delicious banh mi sandwiches too. Service is very friendly and efficient. read more
Came by as this place was recommended by a viet friend. Got the brown, it's got condensed milk at the bottom followed by coffee with foam on top. It was delicious. Just enough ice, the coffee was as strong as my kid's personality, it's enough caffeine to get me through the day downtown. Make sure you make it very thoroughly! Server was nice and quick. Lots of seating around. Cozy environment. Definitely recommend! read more

Cute viet cafe selling banh mi and drinks! My friend recommended me the "Fresh Lime Freeze" since i really like sour drinks and it definitely hit the spot! It was very refreshing and could really taste the lime in it. I would've definitely tried the banh mi next time but I came after dinner haha. It was pretty busy at night and there was a restroom. the service was pretty fast and I loved how they filled the slush to the top kind of pricey but worth a try. In the corner of the street but easy to spot! I love the old school vibes. read more

The first time I visited Cộng Cà Phê was in Hanoi. It's a popular Vietnamese coffee shop chain in Vietnam, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this familiar coffee shop name in Toronto! The interior of this location looked more modern than the ones I visited in Hanoi, but they did try to replicate some of the old-school look. The menu seemed to offer more sugary drinks. There were Vietnamese coffee (both cold and hot) - lattes, coconut coffee smoothie, coconut green rice smoothie, coconut mung bean smoothie, etc. One thing that I didn't see on the menu (which is super popular in all coffee shops throughout Vietnam) was egg coffee. Maybe they'll add it to the menu one day, or perhaps they determined that it wouldn't do as well here? They also offer fruit drinks (which I didn't try) and different types of banh mi (including the classic banh mi). read more
Lovely little cafe that's beautifully designed, with a welcoming casual vibe and helpful people. I can see many just hanging out here and enjoying the place. So my rating likely comes down to personal taste. Tried their hot brown coffee (coffee with condensed milk), cold white coffee (coffee with condensed milk and coconut milk) and coconut cocoa (smoothie type coffee with cocoa). Brown was a tad too sweet, white had a bit too much milk and not enough coffee, and cocoa was a bit too sludge-y for my tastes. Given how many happy people I saw at this cafe though, again, it likely just didn't jive with me. read more

I visited Cong Caphe to redeem my free birthday drink through their loyalty program and they did ask for my ID to confirm eligibility. I decided to order their Saigon Salted Kumquat to go as I wanted to order a more traditional drink that wasn't coffee. It wasnt very crowded so I was able to grab a seat to wait. The store was filled with authentic Viet vintage decor making the atmosphere very cozy. The drink was very refreshing with slight spice though I expected the kumquat to have more flavour, probably diluted into the drink. read more

This is a Vietnamese café in Toronto's downtown area near Yonge-Dundas. They serve drinks as well as pastries and bánh mì. I tried their Jasmine Iced tea and the lemongrass chicken bánh mì. Overall, really good and would recommend. The Jasmine tea had a nice mild flavor to it. The bánh mì was fresh, the bread was nice and soft, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The pickled vegetables went nicely with it. There is additional seating downstairs and the prices are very reasonable. read more
We've heard great things about this spot from a local foodie that we follow on IG... so while walking down Elm during the holidays, we definitely wanted to check this spot out. Upon entering, the menu is a little intimidating - their drinks had a lot of things we hadn't heard of but definitely sounded good! There was a coffee section, espresso-like section and some cold ones. We asked the associate to help out and she was kind to explain what they offered - the hubs was set on a cold brown coffee (with condensed milk) and I was excited to try the hot white (coconut milk and condensed milk)! The cold drink - make sure you use the straw as it's quite bitter without one...but I LOVED my white. The coconut milk really levelled up my coffee and it was delicious! They did have a small offering of foods (banh mi's) and we'd love to come back to try other items! It was super cute; it's a smaller space but there is more seating downstairs. The second location of Cong Caphe in Toronto is located along Elm St. near Yonge. This worldwide Vietnamese coffee chain serves a variety of caffeinated beverages (coffee - phin or espresso, tea), sodas, and juices. They also have pastries (I saw from La La Bakeshop) and banh mis made to order as well. I've been meaning to try Cong Caphe ever since they came to Toronto but their first location in the Annex always seemed so busy every time I passed by the place. I was definitely excited that they had a new location close to Yonge and Dundas. Prior to opening their 2nd location, Cong Caphe also gave out free small samples of their popular coconut coffee at Yonge-Dundas Square as well. I stopped by Cong Caphe on a Wed morning around 9am. The store is quite big with ample seating on the main floor as well as the basement. There were already a few tables with people enjoying their coffee and food. Choosing what to get was difficult as they have a lot of different coffee drinks available. I decided to opt for an iced brown Vietnamese 'phin' coffee and a classic cold cut banh mi. My order was made at a reasonable time, around 5 min. Service was friendly and efficient. The iced coffee was strong and delicious. I was afraid it would be super sweet due to the condensed milk but it wasn't super sweet which I appreciated. The banh mi bread was warm which was nice. I wished the bread was a bit crunchier/crispier though. The classic cold cut banh mi was definitely tasty - the sandwich was filed with the cold cuts, pate, pickled veggie and herbs you'd expect in a banh mi. Great tasting banh mi and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to get it again (although you can get cheaper banh mis elsewhere in the city). Overall, great new location of Cong Caphe with ample seating and delicious coffee and food! Will definitely return for more in the future. read more

Opening promo at the moment for their bubble tea items (buy one get one 50%). I got their iced white pho blend (has more cinnamon and star anise notes compared to their signature blend). Love the subtle flavours and not too sweet. The straws are plant fibre and not paper! Yay At the pantry they carry some lala bakeshop goods too! If you haven't tried Vietnamese coffee yet, you are missing out. Usually I go to a Vietnamese restaurant to get my fix, so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this gem coffee shop specialising in Vietnamese brew. Do yourself a favour and get the hot white Vietnamese. It's made with condensed milk and is like liquid candy. The ambiance in this place is very nice as well. read more
