Vanilla iced coffee
Arya K.

Service was quick and reasonable prices. The vanilla iced coffee was good but we had to add sweetness ourselves (not that big of a deal), the blueberry matcha was sooooo good.

My hubby and I were exploring the area and stumbled over this coffee shop. It's located on Bloor Street West and it was quite busy during a long weekend. We visited in the afternoon around 2pm and the shop was busy. They have a couple of tables outside and inside there were about 3 tables, two tables by the window and some individual seats with a single table each. I ordered the hot hojicha latte and it came in a ceramic Japanese inspired bowl which i thought was different from a usual mug. They served a few small pastries which I didn't try because I was too full from lunch. The customer service is very good and I really likes the interior decor - simple and clean. It's a great spot to catch up with friends, people watching or getting some work done. I would highly recommend this spot the next time you're in the area!

Iced Matcha Latte with Macadamia Milk

Cute, chill cafe that's conveniently located in the heart of Korea-town. They have the best iced matcha lattes around and a fantastic selection of non-dairy milks (macadamia milk anyone?) Their pastries are just as delicious as their drinks. My boyfriend bought me their dorayaki on a different day and it was so soft, moist, and yummy. I loved the dorayaki so much that I came back to try their Financier which was amazingly buttery and moist. The baristas and cashiers are all very kind too. A must-visit spot if you're in the area.

A cute small coffee shop in Ktown, this place was a nice spot to rest after a long walk. This is a nice spot for chatting with friends but also quiet enough to do some studying or work while drinking a cup of tea or coffee. I got the hojicha latte in this cute large cup, and it was the perfect temperature to immediately start drinking. I think the only concern I have is if I let it sit for more than 5 min, the drink will become cold. Also tried the iced vanilla latte, a solid drink that was surprisingly lighter than I expected, but not an overpowering sweet vanilla flavor.

Ninetails is a cafe that specializes in japanese desserts, savoury food and drinks. It's a cute local cafe along Korea town with welcoming vibes. Although, I didn't try out their drinks, I really enjoyed their dorayaki. As I tried it out awhile ago, I had their monthly special dorayaki that consists of gelato, homemade chocolate drizzle and fruits. It was a nice light dessert that would go along with a drink such as tea or coffee. Overall, a positive experience with friendly service and great variety in their menu to choose from. The only minor issue is that its limited seating so if you do plan to sit, it would be advisable to try to come early or during non-rush hrs to get a seat.

It was my first time trying Ninetails Coffee and I can happily say I want to come back! I ordered an iced latte and the brew was nice and strong, plus she made it extra sweet for me when I asked :) The food is displayed very nicely and the coffee bar is so aesthetically pleasing with the decorations. The service was awesome and it was quick, the baristas are so pleasant and confirms your order as well. The ambiance inside the cafe is very nice definitely a good place to study, have a coffee date or even just catch up with friends. They have seating in both indoor and outdoor!

I appreciate its cleanliness, warm customer staff, and delicious grade A coffee. I had an iced cold brew, and it was perfect to fight off the hot weather outside.

Dorayaki (Red Bean, Strawberry Shortcake, Matcha)

We were in the area so dropped into Ninetails. Being a fan of Neo, we had to check out their sister store. I love the decor - French tile pattern coffee bar with bare wood flooring and walls. Their coffee selection is great with some unique in-house drinks. What is a show stealer are the desserts. They have macaroons that have animal faces on them and some unique cakes like black sesame cheesecake. I picked up three dorayaki (typically two small pancakes with red bean sandwiched in between). Ninetails makes unique dorayaki though - custard and strawberry shortcake! Good for: coffee, sweets

Matcha latte & Hojicha latte

Best matcha latte in town! I stumbled upon this little and quaint coffee shop while roaming K-Town. I don't drink coffee so I cannot comment on those items, but their matcha latte is a must-try! I can tell that they use high quality/ceremonial grade matcha thanks to the vibrant green colour and the crisp and slightly astringent taste. They have a good selection of plant milk (oat, macadamia, soy and almond) for those who are lactose-intolerant like myself. Also, highly recommend trying their matcha financiers as a treat to go with your latte. :)

Latte and Pear Danish

Very calming place for a tasty and flavourful coffee. They offer various coffee beans with particular glamorous notes. It's a remiss not to mention about their pastries, one of the most popular menu is Dorayaki (red beans, matcha and custard), tastes not so sweet but flavourful. The staffs are very welcoming, and willingly to suggest if customers don't know what to choose. The atmosphere is very calm and chilled as the concept, according to one of the staff, is a "short trip to Japan". Lofi songs are played to contribute to the surrounding. Wifi is fast enough to work or study. Highly recommend if you are looking for a Japanese style coffee shop with Zen concept and delicious drinks. Cheer !

Ninetails Coffee Bar is a new coffee shop that is located in Koreatown near Bloor/Euclid. This new Japanese inspired coffee shop uses de mello palheta for their coffee/espresso beverages and serves a variety of food items (like dorayaki!). The interior of the coffee shop is welcoming and warm where there is ample seating throughout. There are about 8-9 tables where the café has around 20 seats. I stopped by Ninetails Coffee Bar on a Saturday around noon where the café was half full. I ordered a flat white (with oat milk) and an avo toast with a ramen egg. After ordering I sat down and my food was brought to me at a reasonable time. The flat white was made well and the avo toast with the ramen egg was unique! The toast had avocado topped with nori (seaweed), a ramen egg (that had a slightly runny yoke), and spicy mayo. The combination worked well together and the bread that the café used was not hard to cut through. Overall, a pleasant meal that was filling. Overall, service was friendly at Ninetails and the coffee/food was great. Would definitely come back to try the dorayaki!

Matcha latte and apple turnover

Came here on a whim as I was in the neighborhood. I've been on a latte/coffee shop hunt lately and I was not disappointed! I got their matcha latte and apple turnover. The latte was tasty, the latte art was on point and I love their apple turnovers, the crust is flakey and buttery! And not only is the interior filled with apples but it's also jammed packed with apple sauce too! What better way to start the week than with the perfect cup of latte, and some pastries in this little chic coffee bar!

This cafe is such a good spot to just study and get work done. Although it is placed in a slightly busy location, the cafe is calm, and usually only has a few people there. Ninetails is also open during COVID, as well, so that's a plus :D soft jazz + great pastries = productive day (^^)

The entrance is two sets of doors so no draft when people come in and out! They have a very extensive cocktail and wine menu. There are also plates du jour (an entree and dessert). I ordered the duck confit over crispy rice and orange sauce. My companions ordered the chicken with maitake mushrooms and the burger. We shared the crème brûlée and basque cheesecake. I really enjoyed my dish! The duck was cooked perfectly. Duck was moist and flavorful. The crispy rice gave it a nice texture and helped make it a more filling dish. The orange sauce is a classic pairing with duck. The basque cheesecake has some delicious cherries! But the cheesecake itself was a little more burnt than I personally prefer. The crème brûlée had a very thick caramelized layer on top. But the creme was smooth and sweet. It'd be a great spot for a date night. But those with sensitive ears should proceed with caution. For three people I think it was about $135 CAD maybe $160 CAD after tax and tip.

For me, atmosphere and ambiance are just as important as the food and drinks, so I was more than a little disappointed when we were shown to a small table right by the door. We were so close to the door, in fact, that I found myself making awkward eye contact with everyone that walked in. Far worse, our table was about six inches away from the table next to ours, which made private conversation impossible and essentially killed anything resembling an intimate vibe. Thankfully the food and drinks made up for the lackluster atmosphere. I started with one of their martinis and it was absolutely fantastic. If there's a better martini anywhere in the city, I'd be surprised. The food was just as good. We started with their delicious bread and delectable butter, and followed that up with the above-average French Onion Soup. The Bitter Greens Salad managed the impossible: it made radicchio delicious. And finally, the Steak Frites ended the meal on an absolutely jaw-dropping note. I can't remember when (or even if) I've ever had steak this flavorful and this tender. Absolutely incredible. Aside from the far-from-romantic feel, I very much enjoyed my meal at Milou. Maybe we'll return someday and I'll request a more intimate table.
