Checked out this place when I was looking for nearby cafe that was open a little later (many cafes in the area close around 7 but this one was open till 9!) The inside has a great layout/design and there is plenty of seating available inside. Service was great as well! We ordered: - Bear Coffee Latte - Hazelnut Muffin The latte was yummy (I liked the whipped cream on too with the biscuit crumbles). The muffin was also really good. I liked that it was really moist (would have loved it if there was just some more chocolate hazelnut flavour throughout the muffin instead of just at the bottom and a bit on top). Will definitely be back to try some of the other flavours! It's a great spot to enjoy some drinks/snacks and hangout with friends or chill solo. Will definitely be back! read more

Came here to warm up on on a cold and rainy day. Tried their signature 'bear' latte which came topped with whipped cream, biscoff crumbs and caramel drizzle. Their chocolate hazelnut muffins were moist, yet exactly tasted exactly how you would expect it would (still very tasty imo!) read more

Nice little cafe in downtown Toronto on Adelaide and John. Some of the items are hit or miss (matcha muffin was not great) but overall most of the items are pretty decent. There is a good amount of seating inside but it can get a bit busy. read more

Stopped by this cafe at night to kill some time as my friends and I were waiting for our reservation for another restaurant nearby. This cafe was super cute and cozy with lots of seating and people working or on their laptops. The dessert and pastries selection was great and I got a nice blueberry muffin which was decent. My friends ordered coffee and refresher tea and they said it was good as well. The service was very friendly and efficient. Seems like a great spot to study or work with a large menu. I found myself in the area on a hot day and I felt like a bit of a caffeine boost, so I was on the hunt for an iced coffee of some kind. I remembered that Columbus Cafe and Co was on my mental list of places to try, so I decided to pop in. The place was pretty much empty, so I was immediately able to order the "maxi" sized Iced Latte. My barista was super helpful and friendly, and my drink was ready within about a minute. It's a solid beverage. It didn't knock my socks off, nor is it attempting to reinvent the iced latte wheel, but it satisfied my craving and got the job done. I'm sure I'll stop in again to try some of Columbus' other offerings, eventually. read more

New cafe for this chain, I believe it's the only location in Canada. There are two entrances, one on John and one on Adelaide. They have a good variety of hot drinks, as well as sandwiches, desserts, and pastries. The wifi is fast here, and there is a good amount of seating. I believe you need to ask the employees for the washroom password. I got a Earl Grey tea, service is fast and simple. Prices are about average for downtown cafes. The croissant is fresh but I prefer something with a strong butter flavour and more crispy. The milk/cream were empty at the self serve area, which was right over the garbage cans near the entrance; this was really had to access since it's near where people lined up and there is not a lot of space. read more

I wanted to visit this coffee shop for sometime. I was captivated by its cozy interiors, wooden furniture, and ambient lighting. The barista is courteous and offered good choices. I tried Americano and it was smooth, perfectly balanced, and served at just the right temperature. The bakery items on display are also irresistible, I tried a croissant and chocolate muffin. The café wasn't overcrowded and has enough seating space. I'll definitely be back to try some more items! read more

Pretty good. Got the viennese hot chocolate and a biscoff muffin. Liked the rich cream on the hot chocolate but thought the drink itself was a bit thin and not chocolatey enough for my taste. The muffin had almost a cornbread-like taste and texture to it (which I liked but not sure if others would) and definitely needed more biscoff filling. My friend had the hazelnut cookie and said it was tasty. Place itself was welcoming and had a comfortable vibe. Service was quick. Prices were what prices are these days. read more

Walked by and loved the exterior of this store. Walked in and realized it was so bright and clean. Few people on a Friday around 9:30am. I got the flat white and 3 cookies (two chocolate chip and one hazelnut). The barista seemed "new" because she didnt seem to know what she was doing. I specified which cookies I wanted and although she keyed them in correctly, she asked me again (with the bag in her hand) which cookies I wanted. When she handed me the flat white, the lid was half closed because she was in a rush to serve the other customer. It definitely took me awhile to figure out how to close it properly. It felt like the lid was not meant for the cup. As I was walking, coffee kept on dripping on my hand. The drink itself was bland; it felt like a regular coffee. The cookies were quite chewy but a little too sweet. My colleague got the biscoff muffin and said it was nothing special. The muffin itself tasted like cake mix. Stopped by for a coffee today. For a place so large it was empty so I was nervous it wasn't very good. I ordered a drip coffee to go and they were nice and got it to me quickly. The staff were really nice and the location is good. I think it would be a good place to work from or just hang out. Unfortunately, their cups are terrible. I wasn't given a sleeve for my coffee an fit was super hot so my hands were super red and uncomfortable. I kept switching hands. The cup was also leaking a ton. My hand was covered in burning hot coffee and it got all over my jacket sleeves and my shoes and socks lol. I really hope the stains come out. They need to fix their cups because I'm not risking this happening to me again. I'll only go back for an in-cafe experience. read more

Columbus opened in October in a great location in the Entertainment District. The cafe is quite large, with plenty of table and lounge seating throughout. Ordering was efficient and we received our drinks quickly, despite it being quite busy. We got a matcha latte and their special bear latte with speculoos, whipped cream, and honey. I thought it would be too sweet, but the toppings balanced out well with the coffee portion, and felt like a warm pick-me-up. Tried a few drinks here to mixed results. The bear latte was pretty good, the london fog was subpar, and the flat white was mediocre. I don't mind the bear coffees with biscoff and honey but wouldn't come here for the classics. read more

Always pass by this cafe so finally decided to go in to take a look at their sweets and pastries. The carrot cheesecake caught our eye and we got it to go since it was 10 mins until closing. There is a big seating area so it would be nice to sit and eat there next time we get a chance. Also saw a few people on their laptops. The carrot cheesecake combo is something i have never seen before and being a fan of both carrot cake and cheesecake, this cake really hit the spot! It was sooo good and you can really taste both flavours and textures. Definitely would go back to try some of their other items and coffee also! read more

Columbus is a coffee chain new to Toronto that has snagged a fantastic downtown location. The summer experience here will be great. Better offerings than you'd find at a typical cafe with a few specialities. Service has been good the few times I have been there. The ambiance is modern when plenty of greenery. I dropped by to pick up something sweet to eat. I got the Hazelnut muffin and in all honesty I was disappointed. Presidents choice has muffins that taste similar. There was nothing special about the muffin and there was only 1.5 teaspoons worth of hazelnut spread in them. There are no gluten free pastry options. The vibe felt chill and there were people working while at the tables so it seems like a good place to do that. read more

Bought a veg sandwich today at 4:15pm and took a bite and it was dry and tasted like it had been out all day. I told the guy at the counter and when I told him how horrible and it tasted like it was out all day he said it was. it was out from the morning not covered. He asked if I wanted another and I said no as they all had been out from this morning. I will never step Into this place again. 14 bucks down the drain. I am not happy at all. read more

We go to Columbus at least 4 days a week, the coffee is delicious and pastries are always fresh. The baristas are extremely friendly and always welcoming. I would recommend anyone in the area stop in at this great coffee shop! read more
