Coconut milk latte. During COVID, let me know if you want sugar when you order. They have to add it for you.
Jacqueline M.

Bold opinion but Loveless Cafe makes one of the best coconut milk lattes in Toronto. Coconut milk is not commonly carried but I'm happy when a cafe does because it's an alt. milk that pairs wonderfully with coffee (especially the Reunion Coffee beans that Loveless uses). Adding to their latte perfection, the staff at Loveless know how to steam milk well. They make sure it's the right temperature, allowing me to enjoy my drink without it going cold (no one wants a tepid latte amirite?!). Another personal indicator of a good cafe is how comfortable I am in their space. This isn't the place for you if you're looking for fancy service but I can honestly say that from the minute I walk through the door, I feel at home. If you've never been here, their ascetic is '70s basement rec. room mixed with your grandmother's knick knacks and all the plants you could want. In the "before" days, my ideal Sunday tradition would be to head to Loveless in order to hunker down with a good book and a coffee. A cafe during the day, this black owned business converts to a bar at night and also has a great sunny patio for warmer times. Now during the lockdown, you can still get yourself a delicious coffee to go (ability to make all your cafe standards) and purchase local wine and beer from their bottle shop. If that isn't enough, they've transformed part of their space into a pop up of vintage goods and local artwork, promising a fun little treasure hunt while you wait. We all have a favourite coffee shop in the city and Loveless Cafe will always be mine.

The service is TERRIBLE. Passive aggressive bartender served my friend and I. Neither one of us will be returning.

The coziest patio in the city. To add, good coffee, drinks and staff. In my opinion Loveless is one of he best Bar/ Cafes in the city.

I love this place. It is extremely relaxed, good ambiance, good beer, nice staff. One of my fave places to grab a drink before dinner.

The entrance is two sets of doors so no draft when people come in and out! They have a very extensive cocktail and wine menu. There are also plates du jour (an entree and dessert). I ordered the duck confit over crispy rice and orange sauce. My companions ordered the chicken with maitake mushrooms and the burger. We shared the crème brûlée and basque cheesecake. I really enjoyed my dish! The duck was cooked perfectly. Duck was moist and flavorful. The crispy rice gave it a nice texture and helped make it a more filling dish. The orange sauce is a classic pairing with duck. The basque cheesecake has some delicious cherries! But the cheesecake itself was a little more burnt than I personally prefer. The crème brûlée had a very thick caramelized layer on top. But the creme was smooth and sweet. It'd be a great spot for a date night. But those with sensitive ears should proceed with caution. For three people I think it was about $135 CAD maybe $160 CAD after tax and tip.

For me, atmosphere and ambiance are just as important as the food and drinks, so I was more than a little disappointed when we were shown to a small table right by the door. We were so close to the door, in fact, that I found myself making awkward eye contact with everyone that walked in. Far worse, our table was about six inches away from the table next to ours, which made private conversation impossible and essentially killed anything resembling an intimate vibe. Thankfully the food and drinks made up for the lackluster atmosphere. I started with one of their martinis and it was absolutely fantastic. If there's a better martini anywhere in the city, I'd be surprised. The food was just as good. We started with their delicious bread and delectable butter, and followed that up with the above-average French Onion Soup. The Bitter Greens Salad managed the impossible: it made radicchio delicious. And finally, the Steak Frites ended the meal on an absolutely jaw-dropping note. I can't remember when (or even if) I've ever had steak this flavorful and this tender. Absolutely incredible. Aside from the far-from-romantic feel, I very much enjoyed my meal at Milou. Maybe we'll return someday and I'll request a more intimate table.

They have plenty of seating, from tables and chairs to more lounge type couches and such. Wifi was also really solid, which we appreciated being in from the States (crazy data charges, you know!). Staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time chatting with them. Great tunes played inside with plenty of fantastic vinyl to choose from to boot.

Great amount of toppings inside. Made a perfect afternoon snack for the two of us to share. There are outlets to plug in laptops and complimentary fast wifi. It's a cozy little cafe. We came today and ordered the durian coffee, Viet latte, and durian basque cheesecake. The order did take a while to come out maybe 15 minutes. The durian coffee had real sweet durian in it so I enjoyed that one very much that the flavours just worked. The Viet latte was tasty and not too sweet. For the dessert, I could not appreciate the durian taste but the cheesecake itself wasn't too sweet and quite rich. I think we maybe came here on an off-day and would come by to try it again. The actual store is quite pretty and I love how they decorated everything Vietnam-themed. There is one washroom as well.

Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.
