Got the Hojicha and my friend got their hot chocolate. Drinks are not too bad but I tasted the milk more than the Hojicha itself. The hot chocolate was just okay as well. Drinks were made fairly quickly but they do get pretty busy. I would try the coffee next time I'm around the area. read more

De Mello is located in the well, one of the upcoming spots in the bustling downtown Toronto core , and definitely earns it's place there. It's located at the very entrance of the well which means you can grab a nice coffee and walk through, exploring the area. Seating is limited as it's connected to the residential building lobby, but you can easily take your drink down to the food court downstairs and pair it with a meal. I got the iced nomnom and it was so flavourful and sweet! I'm a big fan of Vietnamese coffee , and enjoyed this but was a little disappointed when I realised it's just a sachet and probably should've got an espresso based drink. I did end up taking the drink outside even though I planned to sit in as the inner space was freezing with the AC on full blast. Will probably get something warm next time, and the pastries looked really good! read more

I wish there were more tables but luckily when I went there was enough seating. I ordered the Matcha Kumo which is a fixed size and iced. This is a sakura matcha and it's really good not too sweet and lightly fragrant. The matcha foam itself is not sweet though so make sure to mix the drink if you're ordering it. Is there anything more Toronto than an $8 coffee in a trendy lobby? $16 for two drinks is comical, but I guess that's the price we pay for living here - no point complaining, right? (I complain about it daily) To be honest, the drinks were really good! The Iced Nomnom (love the name, btw) had a smoky flavour that kept me coming back for more, and the pink matcha was deliciously green and pink, as advertised. De mello I get your hype! You deserve it all that's why so many cafes use your coffee beans! I got to try the Blueberry Latte and it was super good. Unfortunately not milk substitute as the milk is extracted with blueberry. Very simple, unique, and delicious. Service was fast and very friendly. I asked one of the employees Kathy for a recommendations. ^_^ The black sesame scone was nice as well. I came here after brunch on the weekend with some friends. We selected this establishment because of its high Yelp rating and it was close to where we were. Its operation is similar to Starbucks, stationed at an office building within the well. It does not have he's own stand alone unit, nor do I recall there being (much) seating. Expect a line up evening on the weekends! The one good thing is that the line moves fairly quick and usually doesn't go out the door. Was sipping on my blueberry latte when I saw a little speck... turns out a fly was in my drink. Overall, this coffee shop isn't much. Go to on my way to work. Fast service and while it gets busy it moves fast! Their pastries are always so great -- the muffins, croissants, and danishes are all so perfect with their coffee. I was looking for a fun coffee to try over the weekend and saw the blueberry latte. Unfortunately, that drink only comes cold so the barista offered the orange vienna that's served hot. She explained it's an americano with an orange flavoured foam. I wasn't sure if I'll love it but was open to give it a try. To my surprise, it was a very delicious hot coffee with a cold orange foam on top. The orange flavour was not overpowering also. I definitely recommend this drink and will order again. read more

Having tried their lattes before this time I passed by I grabbed a matcha latte. Most drinks come in medium(12oz) or large(16oz) but some do come in small 8oz. I got the famous iced blueberry latte and I now understand the hype. Who knew blueberry and coffee would pair so well together... but it just does. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and milky/creaminess. The perfect ratio of blueberry flavour and coffee flavour. It's kind of expensive for a latte ($6.50), but even then I think it's worth it and I'd easily splurge on it again. Now, the Strawberry Lolli Roll was also a pleasant surprise! I was kind of expecting it to be overly sweet and artificial... but it was very delicious. The right amount of sweetness. The strawberry cream filling is light. The pastry/croissant itself is flaky, buttery, and airy - a tad savoury. It is also kind of pricey ($8), but I'd totally get it again on a "treat yoself" day. I got a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant to go from De Mello. Both items were good and tasted similar to the same items at other coffee shops that carried products around the same price range, so I wasn't extremely impressed nor disappointed. I was in a bit of a rush and forgot to ask if I could get my chocolate croissant warmed up - I think that would have made it better. My colleague got the iced blueberry matcha and said it was spectacular, so I'd have to give that a try the next time I'm at De Mello. read more

This new De Mello Coffee location is a lobby kiosk located inside the office tower side of The Well, by Spadina and Front. The interior looks minimalist and sleek, with some seating on the main level, and a large table for groups if you want to get some collaborative work done upstairs. The staff were friendly, and despite the long line when I visited, it moved quicky, and I got my order within a reasonable amount of time.   I'm not a coffee drinker, and therefore cannot comment on their coffees, but I did order a tea latte here, which I thought was well made (good temperature, the tea was steeped long enough for me to taste it, and it had the right amount of milk and sugar).  A key thing that gave them extra brownie points from me is that they serve Sloane tea, which very few coffee shops offer, plus I love the tiger design on their cups. read more

Today was a very nice day so my sister and I took a visit to De Mello Coffee located in the lobby of the well! First and foremost the set up of this cafe is adorable. They have a variety of drinks, and sweets. We got an iced americano and the blueberry latte. Iced americano was very well done it had the perfect acidity and was very nutty. As for the blueberry latte i was shocked to realize that blueberries and coffee go very well. The flavours paired perfectly. The drink itself is a bit on the sweeter side and it is very yummy haha. Staff is always friendly. It's a bit expensive, but their coffee is in the higher tiers. Tables and chairs to sit and work too. De Mello Coffee, located in the lobby of The Well, is the coffee shop's newest location. The place is not hard to find as you enter the building. The small coffee bar serves a variety of beverages as well as has food and coffee beans for sale. There are some small tables to sit if you'd like to enjoy your drink there. I stopped by De Mello Coffee to check out the new space and location. I didn't expect to buy any beans but was curious what they had. I ended up getting a fruity Colombian bag which was recommended by staff. I also got a flat white as well. My beverage was made at reasonable time and was made well. Service was friendly and the space was warm and inviting. Overall, great coffee and space! Come by and support De Mello Coffee if you can! read more

The drinks were of high quality and the customer service was stellar. The iced blueberry latte was amazing as it had enough blueberry flavour balanced well with milk & their blend of espresso. May 2024 5/5 I love exploring coffee shops! I was debating when to visit De Mello Coffee and decided to visit after going to the CN Tower since it was a brisk walk away. I got the iced blueberry latte 6.95 CAD while my friend got the iced nom nom 5.95 CAD. Both drinks were delicious! The coffee shop was bright and spacious with some seating. We sat down for a few minutes then walked around the nearby stores after. I will def check this spot out again next time I'm in Toronto. read more

De Mello is inside the well nested in the main floor of the office building. The vibe is great, open, but quiet and peaceful. The service was quick and kind. A great place to grab a coffee and a table or go upstairs and sit at one of the communal tables. Great coffee, not too acidic. We tried the lolli-roll it was truly incredible. It's a round croissant filled, and I mean FILLED, with delicious cream. Not too sweet at all. I'm definitely coming here again and I'm happy I've found my new local coffee shop read more

This is a newly opened coffee shop inside Well buildings. It is inside the building lobby with some seating space. We ordered for Americano, Vanilla Latte and a Scone. It's more like a takeaway coffee shop, but there are a few seats if you prefer to stay and enjoy the coffee. We had latte and cortado. Pretty good, I'd say the best at The Well; but I've had really impressive one before. Service was good even though they were so busy on the day we visited. read more
