Got the Hojicha and my friend got their hot chocolate. Drinks are not too bad but I tasted the milk more than the Hojicha itself. The hot chocolate was just okay as well. Drinks were made fairly quickly but they do get pretty busy. I would try the coffee next time I'm around the area.

De Mello is located in the well, one of the upcoming spots in the bustling downtown Toronto core , and definitely earns it's place there. It's located at the very entrance of the well which means you can grab a nice coffee and walk through, exploring the area. Seating is limited as it's connected to the residential building lobby, but you can easily take your drink down to the food court downstairs and pair it with a meal. I got the iced nomnom and it was so flavourful and sweet! I'm a big fan of Vietnamese coffee , and enjoyed this but was a little disappointed when I realised it's just a sachet and probably should've got an espresso based drink. I did end up taking the drink outside even though I planned to sit in as the inner space was freezing with the AC on full blast. Will probably get something warm next time, and the pastries looked really good!

I loved this cafe! It's right by the Well, so the location is really nice. I got the matcha latte and it was so smooth! It's probably one of the better matcha drinks I've ever had The service was also quick and efficient. The employees were really kind and helped me choose a nice pastry to pair with my drink.

I wish there were more tables but luckily when I went there was enough seating. I ordered the Matcha Kumo which is a fixed size and iced. This is a sakura matcha and it's really good not too sweet and lightly fragrant. The matcha foam itself is not sweet though so make sure to mix the drink if you're ordering it. The pastries looked so yummy, I'd definitely wanna try it one day.

Ordered the matcha kumo which included Sakura syrup. It looked very aesthetic! On the pricier side for matcha though. It was good matcha but definitely a treat at its price point. There is seating available on multiple levels if looking for a spot to read or chat with your coffee.

Is there anything more Toronto than an $8 coffee in a trendy lobby? $16 for two drinks is comical, but I guess that's the price we pay for living here - no point complaining, right? (I complain about it daily) To be honest, the drinks were really good! The Iced Nomnom (love the name, btw) had a smoky flavour that kept me coming back for more, and the pink matcha was deliciously green and pink, as advertised. Maybe I'll go back when I get my tax return again next year.

De mello I get your hype! You deserve it all that's why so many cafes use your coffee beans! I got to try the Blueberry Latte and it was super good. Unfortunately not milk substitute as the milk is extracted with blueberry. Very simple, unique, and delicious. Service was fast and very friendly. I asked one of the employees Kathy for a recommendations. ^_^ The black sesame scone was nice as well. It's conveniently inside a condo building but accessible to the public with a few seats very easy to get to. Love the bright concept with natural lighting.

I came here after brunch on the weekend with some friends. We selected this establishment because of its high Yelp rating and it was close to where we were. Its operation is similar to Starbucks, stationed at an office building within the well. It does not have he's own stand alone unit, nor do I recall there being (much) seating. Expect a line up evening on the weekends! The one good thing is that the line moves fairly quick and usually doesn't go out the door. I ordered their matcha latte, and it was a little bitter at 50% sugar. I am not much of a coffee drinker but I was looking for a warm drink. Note: Soy milk replacement is an additional $1

I come here pretty frequently for coffee and their pastries. I love their coffee, and I typically get iced lattes or iced Americano. I've also had their chocolate croissants - the flavour and texture is perfect and it's been fresh when I go in the morning. You can purchase coffee beans, or breakfast items here too. There is some seating in the lobby. Baristas are friendly and I like their r&b oldie playlist.

Solid coffee. Solid customer service and team. The space itself is beautiful. So modern and plenty of space in and out of this cafe. Really truly love this spot. The bathrooms are amazing by the way.

Was really looking forward to trying this place out based on such good reviews... But, unless you want your coffee with a side of BUG don't come here. Was sipping on my blueberry latte when I saw a little speck... turns out a fly was in my drink. Overall, this coffee shop isn't much. It's not very aesthetically pleasing, the seating area and overall vibe is bland. Wouldn't recommend this place, go somewhere else.

Go to on my way to work. Fast service and while it gets busy it moves fast! Their pastries are always so great -- the muffins, croissants, and danishes are all so perfect with their coffee. It's a lobby location but if you go up the stairs there's plenty of quiet seating and free wifi from The Well to sit with a laptop and look out onto front and Spadina!

I was looking for a fun coffee to try over the weekend and saw the blueberry latte. Unfortunately, that drink only comes cold so the barista offered the orange vienna that's served hot. She explained it's an americano with an orange flavoured foam. I wasn't sure if I'll love it but was open to give it a try. To my surprise, it was a very delicious hot coffee with a cold orange foam on top. The orange flavour was not overpowering also. I definitely recommend this drink and will order again.

Delightful new coffee shop. The coffee quality is higher than most places. This is evidenced by how often their coffee is sold out.

We got a matcha latte with oat milk, cappuccino, and the breakfast sandwich w smoked salmon (forgot the name). Matcha latte was great, I loved that they clarified whether I wanted sweetened or unsweetened. Sometimes cafes serve them sweetened without me realizing. It's not super crazy high quality but it's definitely better than most cafes. I only had a sip of the cappuccino but I could tell my mom didn't love it. It's just on the fruitier side so it tasted more sour and not creamy/smooth (which is what my mom prefers). Depends on your preference. She really liked the latte art though and didn't want to ruin it by drinking it! The sandwich was big and delicious. There's a hint of dill flavor which paired well with the salmon. I could tell my mom liked it. The cafe itself has a few tables and high top counter seating, as well as seating outside. There's two restrooms in the back. They seem to bake everything in house and it smelled wonderful as they brought stuff out the oven. Loved the all female staff!

This coffee shop is nestled semi-behind a pillar beside the lobby of the Intercontinental hotel Toronto, which adds to its charm for me, in a way. Love finding a good "hole in the wall" :) I love the bright, feminine, beachy decor and coral pink & aqua blue accents. It's not too tropical, but it definitely transports you outside of Canada. Coupled with Aussie staples like vegemite and Noosa magazines (takes me straight back there!), as well as gorgeous ceramic coffee mugs for purchase, the vibes are great here. While it is a smaller shop, there is enough seating for 3 tables, and it's very cozy. Had to go for a flat white, given the Aussie homage here. This one got my approval (and I'm picky about my flat whites) - they used a lighter, more balanced espresso roast, paired with just the right amount of creamy frothed milk. They also had a banana bread latte that my companion really enjoyed too! Looking forward to my next visit!

It's nice that they are open early-ish at 7am, though even a little bit earlier might be nice. The coffee is alright. The heart they draw for warm lattes is cute. Never tried an Aussie coffee brand before -- heard that they have high coffee standards there, but tbh couldn't really tell a difference. Maybe I'm just not a fan of fruity/sour beans. Can't say I get the hype, and quite overpriced too at $7-8+ for coffees. Guess it's the location and rent. It's better than Starbucks, but I don't think that is saying much. I do like that they have vegemite pastry, which you won't see at other places! Nice Australian touch.
