We came here on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy. The coffee shop is very small only a few seats by the window. They have pastries which I didn't try. I ordered the latte with regular milk. This was a nice little coffee shop that is a short walk from St Lawrence Market. They do have some free parking outside the shop. When we went, there was only one barista so she was a one woman show. I'm surprised the owner did not schedule at least two baristas to shorten the waiting time. This looked like it was very popular amongst locals. When you get inside, you order then you can have a seat. Seating is very limited, so it's mostly a takeout place. They also have tea and snacks available. You can choose what kind of coffee beans you want. Prices were inexpensive. Service was great, she was very hard working despite the long queue. The KISS (Keep it simple, sweetie) method is tried and true. Unassuming, unpretentious, great coffee, great baked goods, friendly staff (I mean, it IS Canada, but still). The cappuccino was delicious and just the right amount of strength. I also love that they have several coffees to choose from! I'm not coffee connoisseur enough to critique it any further. Cookie was great too, especially warmed. The location is small but great to come in for an Italian-style breakfast. The only strange thing is they have no washroom (for customers, anyway). Single origin coffee at its finest! This tiny shop had all the signs of being a winner and when I took the first sip of my featured espresso I knew the recommendation to come here was spot on. First off, the baristas here were super friendly and made helpful recommendations, as well as inquiring about our day, where we were from, etc. They were comfortable and easy going. As noted, I was ordered the featured espresso; a Geisha varietal from La Candelilla farm in Costa Rica with notes of berries, watermelon and cocoa. It was so tart and rich! This is such a cute coffee shop. Located at a street corner in downtown Toronto I ran into this place as I was going back to my hotel. I was craving some coffee so I thought why not... i'm so happy I stopped by. Everyone inside is so friendly. They have different types of coffee beans you can choose from and the different types of drinks you can make from them. They also have pastries. The shop is pretty small so there's not a ton of room to sit but it's very cute. There is outdoor parking you pay for which is street parking. The prices aren't too bad, but on the higher side, I'm not really sure if it's super expensive by Canadian standards but a small vanilla latte runs you about $4.50 (US dollars)... similar to Starbucks. I still would recommend you go here as I think the drinks are excellent. I'll be going back to try something new! If you're around the area definitely stop by :) read more

Sweet nectar of the Gods. That's how I would describe the coffee here! I'm a huge coffee fanatic and so when I finally found this Cafe I was over the moon! They have an incredible Americano, my go-to is usually the Ethiopia which has a nice floral and fruity aftertaste - absolutely no need for milk and sugar! ( which, realistically is the only way to drink coffee) In my honest opinion, this is probably one of the best coffee shops in the city... The Baristas are knowledgeable, welcome you with a smile and are extremely friendly! It's a nice little place to sit down, read a book, maybe do some work and of course enjoy your hot Cup of Joe! After being impressed but not blown out of the water by Strange Love, Fahrenheit Coffee gave me exactly what I was looking for: an amazing local coffee shop with a focus on the product driven by a fantastic team of people behind the counter. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Philz Coffee remains my favorite coffee shop in the US, and the reason behind it is because you interface as much with the barista and his or her own specialties and recommendations as you do with the institutions itself. That's the case here at Fahrenheit as well, with barista names and nicknames on the board, high fives all around, and a fantastically jovial atmosphere that really gets your day off on the right foot. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $5.10 for a medium Mocha was a reasonable price point, and everything was priced comparably down to their cookies and pastries. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? One of the other real appeals that drew me into Fahrenheit and Philz alike is the ability to choose your bean regardless of the drink you order. As I've said before, I'm not at all a coffee snob, but in choosing between three different beans for my mocha with cool little descriptions below each, I could easily become a full fledged third wave fanboy, which is a cool feeling when it's not done in a way that's intimidating. Fahrenheit has always been a stable in my indie coffee adventures in Toronto for 10 years now. First introduced to it from the days of the Indie Coffee Passport, I'm very happy to see they now have 3 locations! No idea how I've failed to review them, so better late than never I suppose. I don't get to visit here often, but I love their vibe . I'm saying, 5 stars for them purely for their coffee products, but for me, to get 5 stars overall, it would need to give me sense that I'd be comfortable in here for a few hours with a book. And yes while those times are no more thanks to COVID, when we go back to being able to spend time in cafes I don't think Fahrenheit will be the first place I return to go spend some time with a latte and book. But don't let that deter you from coming in here to check out all their great products. I see on here that they are known for their Cortado, I suppose I know what I need to try out next time, I've tried their latte with various milk options and their flat white too which they do as good a job as anyone else out there. read more

I was downtown for an appointment, and decided to take the opportunity to check out Fahrenheit. Service is definitely on point here. The barista gave me a quick rundown of the menu, and I ultimately decided on a diablo latte. This drink contained a unique combination of flavours that resulted in a latte I don't think I can get anywhere else. 10/10. I will say that this cafe isn't the best place to study (which is what I came here to do). There are a lot of regular customers and employees that keep up a high-energy environment. Walking in, I was welcomed by a surge of super hot air. Which doesn't help when one is still bundled up. But once the layers are off, it's the perfect temperature to sip a cup of good coffee. It's my first time here and I heard a lot about this place so of course I have to give it a try when I happened to be in the area! The shop is quite small... There's only two benches with a total of 7 chairs here. So if you want sitting room, it's hard to find esp at 3pm it is packed with people. There are lots of ppl who drop in and grab coffee and head out. They sell three types of beans, flavours are described and you get to choose which bean to use as your espresso. Since its my first time here, the barista recommended I try the Brazil blend first as it is closer to the traditional latte. I ordered a medium latte with 1% milk. Their default is whole milk but they also carry lactose free, soy and almond milk as other alternatives in addition to the 1%. The latte came with a very nice design on it. The foam is perfect. I've tried making latte myself and I've got to say their milk is foamed and steamed perfectly. First sip, the espresso and the milk blends blends very well. The flavour is bold and yet the milk balances it out quite nicely, and the result is a perfect gulp of latte :) Anyway they sell beans roasted 1/2 lb and by buying the beans one gets a free cup latte/Americano/coffee as a compliment :) wish I knew that before I ordered! But the latte is so good that im gonna buy the beans and then head out with another cup of latte :) read more

I came here as part of Indie Coffee Passport 2012 (ICP) I enjoyed this spot on the last visit as they make an excellent Cortado (cappuccino wasn't my favorite) Last visit I tried the Diablo beans for the Cappuccino so I wanted to try something else. Here is the verdict Espresso: Medium Crema': Decent Milk: Frothed Very Well Latte Art: Good. 3 Star for the drink In addition I must commend them for the service and trying to make the patron feel welcomed. I was asked how was my drink and whether there was anything they could have done to make my experience better (0.5 star added for that) 3.5 Stars overall P.S. In this quiet neighbourhood, Fahreinheit gave the aura of a neighbourhood friendly coffeeshop - something that I really appreciated from this place that I thought was quite unique to the typical Starbucks, etc. The people working here knew it was our first time and kindly showed us what types of coffee this place has to offer. As a non-coffee drinker, I opted for hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was okay - I wish it was slightly hotter (I drink a lot of hot drinks). I really appreciated how much time they put into creating the milk design from the drink! My friend who tried the macchiato that they recommended really liked this drink. Best coffee and service in the city, hands down. Even in my early days in coming here, the baristas took great care not only in their drinks, but also in learning customers' names. Even as the infrequent regular, the baristas took great care to learn my name and order - a rarity these days unless you're a frequent regular. I usually get their Americano but the standout for me is their cortado. I've introduced numerous colleagues (some coffee snobs) to Fahrenheit and they have all loved it. The beans they use are easy to drink and balanced yet have so much complexity and depth of flavor. Could not recommend this place more highly. read more
