Fahrenheit is one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. I've been to a good amount across Vancouver, Ontario, and around North America, but every time I step into a Fahrenheit (and Omnia!) I'm always treated well and given a delicious cup of coffee. My partner and I not only love their coffee, but they also have really good chocolate chip cookies (the best in the city, in my opinion), and we love the people who work here. I used to live by the Jarvis and Adelaide one and was sad to leave the area to move further east without our daily FC run, but then found out the owner opened up another version just 10 minutes from our new home. Great coffee beans, fantastic service and free coffee! I came to this place in search of quality coffee beans to make on my own. And they did not disappoint! They have 3 blends and I got the traditional blend of Diablo which is the bittersweet chocolate nutty flavour. I got the bag half in coarse grind and half in beans and they separated them in seal bags with the date of roast on them! They also offered a free cup of Americano or expresso which is lovely. The only thing is that this shop is very small and there is only a few seats by the window so I would not recommend this place for studying but definitely stop by if you're in the area and want a cup of fresh coffee! read more

Ordered cortado, which is a small cup of tastiness, consisting 1:1 espresso and milk. You get to choose what coffee beans you would like, and I chose diablo Brazil, which comes with hazelnut and bittersweet chocolate flavor. Love the combination of the richness of milk and just the right amount of bitterness from the espresso. Found this coffee shop while searching "best coffee in Toronto." I've had better. Friend and I visited on a snowy Saturday afternoon. I ordered a camomile tea and it was received in a tall beer glass. I have never had tea in a beer glass and I'm not sure what to think about that. Friend ordered a hot chocolate. She said it was mediocre. In terms of seating, there's seating by the window and a communal table in the middle of the cafe. It's a pretty small place. There was also baked goods available but I didn't try any so I can't comment on that. Overall, there's better coffee shops around. I wouldn't visit again and I don't recommend. read more

Having read and heard such great things about this place, i had to come try (apparently, i am on some kind of unofficial quest to find the best coffee in toronto). First of all, the place is very, very hipster. The sign outside had some joke about no hipsters, and then something about hamsters (?).. but when you walk inside, they're all hipsters. Anyway, when I ordered a latte, they guy told me there were 3 options in terms of coffee beans -- i asked him to recommend one, and he seemed genuinely caught off guard (i wonder why, people must ask him that all the time). I ended up choosing the ethiopian blend/beans. The coffee was good -- not AMAZING, but it was good. I liked the flavour of the espresso, but it wasn't strong enough. I felt like it needed another shot of espresso. I still like moonbean in Kensington better. What I didn't like was that my partner got a regular coffee. He added milk, and we were on our way. A while later, he had some of the coffee and said it tasted off. I tried it, and the milk was totally sour. We didn't go back to get it replaced since we'd already left and were a few blocks away.. but as a coffee place, shouldn't they be more careful about leaving their milk and cream sitting out? Pretty disappointing. I'd come back if i were in the area, but if i were to go out of my way for good coffee, i'd still hit up moonbean. read more

Fahrenheit is one of my favorite coffee shops in Toronto; I would definitely be a regular here if it was closer to my home/school. While there isn't a lot of seating, there's a warm ambience to this place and the staff is always friendly & knowledgeable about their coffee. On my last visit, I had a latte made with Kenya Rutama coffee beans; it had black current and green apple undertones and a bold taste & aroma. It also had a perfect balance of milk to espresso; there was a full-bodied yet light mouthfeel and the latte was very smooth; almost creamy. I really enjoyed it. One of the best pulled espressos in town. Bar none. They JUST moved to the NW corner of Lombard & Jarvis, which is less charming than the Esplanade, but will likely gain a loyal following with the condo crowd and employees from creative firms along Richmond. The space is still small and standing room only with a window bar and centre island, but that's the way an espresso bar should be - nothing to distract you from the taste. Let's talk espresso. Sameer (owner/barista/master of his own domain) fixed a cortado for me, with Ethiopia Sidamo beans roasted by Te Aro, and it was delectable. I can still taste the dark, thick, caramely flavour on my tongue and it's been 2 hours. The milk was just the right temperature and cooled down properly in the glass it was served in. Having an owner so passionate about his espressos also completes the experience. In the future there will be a pastry chef making traditional french pastries like pain au chocolat, croissants, etc, so I can't wait to make a return visit and review. They are also giving away free drinks until Saturday, November 26, as a promo for the new spot. Seeing people's reaction at free caffeine is pretty priceless. read more

Have heard so many good things about Fahrenheit (@FahrenheitTO) on twitter and I finally tried it a few weeks ago. Serving excellent espresso drinks made from custom-roasted Te Aro beans and Owner Sameer Mohamed have both competed and won barista championships both regionally and nationally. And they take their coffee seriously here which is why some of their drinks are available only to-stay cause having it to-go compromises the quality of the brew. Just had lunch so didn't get to try any of the treats. Espresso $2.35 & Cappuccino $3.35 ~ I am personally not a big fan since the coffee was on the sour side and rather light roast but the foam was just perfect. The place is rather small with only a few window stools and it's definitely not the type of place you would plug in your laptop to hang out all day. Verdict : Not my cup of coffee but could see why a lot of people would love it read more

I have to say, I need a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the experience that third wave coffee has to offer. From the moment we walked into the small, neat cafe, someone was essentially screaming at us - friendly! but at an inappropriate volume nonetheless. Before we had a chance to look at the menu, another shout to come closer. And sure enough, before we stepped up to place our orders, one more shout (who knows about what this time). I'm sure picking your own beans is an ego boost to some (or truly enjoyable, of course), but I come to third wave coffee shops for a curated experience; someone who knows better than me should have already picked out the perfect, rich, delectable beans for me to enjoy the ideal coffee beverage of my choice. I don't know, I'm just not into the type of service so perky, boisterous and loud that it makes you feel tired. The coffee itself was mostly fine, but nothing to get excited about. I found it a little flat, to be honest. There was no art on my latte, just the same old flower you can get anywhere. Probably wouldn't bother returning, save the very small chance I'm in the area again and in need of a coffee because literally anything is better than Starbucks. read more

I decided to visit this coffee shop after reading about it on blogTO. Upon entering the coffee shop, I was greeted by two very friendly and enthusiastic baristas, who are clearly passionate about what they do. I ordered a latte; my boyfriend ordered an americano. I love that you are able to choose the type of espresso your drink is made with (there were 3 kinds to choose from, all with different flavour notes). Both of us ordered a carrot muffin with our beverages, which we were able to get warmed in their oven. The latte looked great (I'm a sucker for latte art) and tasted delicious. The rich flavour of the espresso complimented the creaminess of the milk really well. I tried my boyfriend's americano, which was also very good. (In my opinion, if I can drink an americano black, it's a good americano!) As we drank our beverages and ate our pastries, the baristas danced behind the bar to the music that was playing in the cafe, all while interacting with customers and providing great customer service. Awesome atmosphere. Only downside to this coffee shop is the limited seating. I will definitely be returning to Fahrenheit coffee to try different beverages off of their extensive menu. read more

Came here to use my Indie Coffee Passport. I was happy to hear that this place re-located and hadn't just closed down. The Lombard St. location, just across from Mystic Muffin, is small but cozy. There are a few stools by the window and then a skinny table and more stools in the middle of the room. On a weekday afternoon, it was really busy, with lots of people getting their caffeine fix to go. Lots of regulars. I found the service to be friendly, and it was one thing that makes Fahrenheit Coffee stand out. Waiting in line or waiting for your espresso drink is a lot more pleasant when the barista is smiling, asking you about your day, etc. I had a cappuccino, which had just the right balance of espresso, milk, and foam. The regular size is pretty big too! I was doing some reading and it lasted me a good long time. Music was electic... At first, they were playing this old Backstreet Boys CD, which was actually kinda hilarious (remember "I want it that way"?). It is a very small space, so make sure you don't miss it going around the corner! As mentioned in other reviews, they are obviously full of knowledge and passion regarding coffee. The two men who were behind the bar when I ordered were very friendly, and helpful. I ordered an Americano, and chose the Brasil bean. I didn't stick around; they have limited seating, and I don't feel it is somewhere I would go to camp out for any lengthy amount of time. If I lived in the neighbourhood I would choose Fahrenheit occasionally, probably due more to the inclination of supporting a small local coffee business than anything. I decided to spoil myself to a day-off treat by indulging in my inner foodie. I had initially heard about this place through BlogTO and was intrigued that the baristas here had won national championships. For me this place was hard to find but this was largely in part due to the fact that I had the wrong address. I found its actual location after having to go around the block in search of a parking spot. After the initial stress of the adventure, I was immediately put at ease by their cheerful greeting as I walked in. They were extremely knowledgeable about their menu and as other have stated do not hesitate to explain the different types of coffee. I was torn between a couple of their offerings but decided on their Americano as I had an appointment to attend and needed to get my coffee to go. I'm just a novice coffee drinker but even I could tell that this wasn't your average espresso, the blend of flavors made the drink a treat for the palate and I enjoyed every sip. The accompanying baked good, I could have lived without. I believe this may have been partly due to my preconceived ideas about what it was supposed to taste like and that it did not fully meet my expectations. However, when I gave it to my dad, he happily finished it and said that it tasted really good. Based on the reviews of others, I would continue to recommend their baked goods as an accompaniment to their coffee. Servers were friendly and the price point was cheaper than some of the larger chains. It's unlikely I would travel out of my way to come here again but if I found myself in the area, I would choose this place over other big name coffee shops. read more

The space is limited so if it is the type of coffee shop you are looking to spend some time at it may not be the best, but the staff was extremely engaging and you can tell that they have a lot of "regulars" I arrived around 8:30 on a Friday morning to a line outside the door, but did not wait more than a minute or two, they are fast, efficient and friendly. We came here early on Saturday and were greeted with a passionate barista in the city. His enthusiasm was contagious and he was very genuine. Since he recognized that it was the first time at the coffee shop, he recommended different beans to us.  CORTADO: Strong yet smooth with undertone of strawberries resulted from the bean that was recommended from the barista at that time! Everyone was right, this cafe is absolutely amazing!!! As soon as I walked in I was greated soo soo kindly, the staff here really is special. I ordered a cortado and an Oreo and cream cookie, together it came out to about $5.60. The friendly guy working there offered to heat up my cookie for me, which made it even tastier hehe! For my cortado, I was able to choose the beans used for it (they had 3 different options)...I went with their Brazilian mix; had hints of cocoa and hazelnut. The art of tge cortado was exceptional, it was amazing to watch how the barista created it. I sat by the window and took a sip of the beautiful drink. I must say, never before in my life have I tasted a cortado that was as smooth and rich as this one, there's absolutely no way I could complain about it, it nearly brought me to tears!! If there is anything negative to comment in, perhaps its the size of the cafe, not a lot of sitting area at all, so thankful I got a seat! Despite that however, I think the small size of the place adds to the atmosphere of Fahrenheit. If only I lived closer, I'd be by every single day haha, sooo soo impressed, way to go! read more
