Love at first bite, sip and sit. - Mon Mont: Really smooth and velvety, with a beautifully nutty cream. - Chocolate Rum Almond Croissant: Crackling exterior, great chocolate frangipine interior. Would've like just a bit stronger rum taste. - Orange Blossom: Wasn't sure this would work but it did, as the lingering orange taste blended perfectly with the coffee. - Fig and Seeds Chocolate: Perfect bitter-creamy dark chocolate with pops of fig flavour. The offerings are varied and able to cater to different tastes. The prices are on the higher side but worth the quality. The place is beautiful and relaxing. We'll definitely be back to try more of their treats.

I was finally in the neighbourhood to sample the downtown branch after hearing about the owner being one of Canada's top chocolatiers and pastry chefs. I came around 3:30pm and to most of the pastries and desserts were sold out. I grabbed the last black sesame matcha croissant and a hojicha latte. The place was full but ended up grabbing a seat by the wall which was a step up type of seating similar to a Japanese floor style seating. The interior carries a Japandi minimalistic vibe and was naturally lit and clean. The hojicha latte was unsweetened but had a strong tea taste to it. Most people will probably want to add honey to it. The croissant is one of the best in the city and the matcha and black sesame paste filling was flavourful but not sweet. I would come back to try their other desserts and pastries earlier in the day. They also sold small patch cookies but most were sold out again. Small tip: ask the barista for the key to the washroom and they do provide water if you ask

This is their second location in GTA (first one is in Unionville, Markham) and they serve up pastries and chocolates made by talented Chef Chris Kwok. Their chocolates and pastries snd both beautiful and delicious. They offer desserts, chocolate bars, cakes, jam and other baked goods. The cafe is very cozy with a warm atmosphere. So far, we have tried Black Sasame Latte, Donut Mocha, from drinks menu; Mon Mont, Exotic Coconut, 70% Chocolate Bar, Paris Brest, Matcha Opera and Yoyo from cakes menu and Mushroom Brie Danish, Lime & Cheesecake Danish, Mandarin Orange Danish, Beef Polish Sausage Danish, Buckwheat Croissant and Black Sesame Matcha Pillow from croissants menu. Everything we have tried has been creative, unique, fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

This is a very popular pastry shop. This is their second location (the first location is in Markham). They just soft-opened on 2025-02-27. All pastries and mini cakes are made daily at their Markham location and brought to this location. Any large cakes must be pre-ordered. They also sell artisanal jams, dragees, cookies, and tea packages. The customer service was good. The interior is modern and spacious. There is a very small seating area and counters where you can stand and eat. The counter has electrical plugs. There is a large open area so I wonder if they will have tables installed. There is no free WiFi (maybe in the near future). The store is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Pistachio Latte, Matcha Latte, and Ma Cherie (black sesame) pastry

Super cute pastry shop in downtown Toronto. There were only 2 other people working on their laptops when we visited on a weekday evening. We enjoyed their pistachio latte, matcha latte (matcha could be stronger), and Ma Cherie pastry (black sesame strawberry flavour) and hope try their other pastries in future visits.

The aesthetic and the attention to detail when it comes to these desserts flawless, and exceptional. I enjoyed every single bite of my dessert. It was fluffy and it melted in my mouth, and I wish I could just eat my screen right now just looking at it lol. For drinks, we got hot chocolates, and they had one of the best hot chocolates I've ever tasted, and I'm not exaggerating. It was the perfect drink and taste to eat my dessert. Location: The location is very pretty, but it's pretty casual. The seating is pretty close to other guests in the restaurant or tables of two if I'm not mistaken. This is a perfect place to go with friends or family or on a quick date or by yourself. This place looked like it was located on a main street with street parking, but because I was visiting in Toronto, I'm not sure how the parking works as we took Uber. Service: The service was great, and they were very friendly and answered any questions regarding the desserts on display to help us pick the perfect one for ourselves. They also brought the food to our table, including the drinks. I 100% would go back to this location.

The strawberry shortcake is fluffy, just the right about of cream and sweetness. The matcha tiramisu is rich in matcha flavour and just the right amount of sweet to offset the bitter matcha. The regular tiramisu has a strong and balanced coffee flavour. The black sesame cake has a great texture and strong black sesame flavour. I enjoy vanilla addition too. The mango cheesecake is really smooth and a real mango flavour (no artificial flavour). It's been popular when I bring cakes to gatherings , but I also enjoy popping by to grab a slice. They have 50% off older slices which is a steal if you visit on the right day. Haven't tried their cafe food or drinks but they do have a nice ambiance and seating.

This place does a great brunch/breakfast as well as have a gorgeous selection of baked goods. It's a great place to relax as well as take to go. The service is really nice and helpful both over the phone and in person. It's probably easier to for them to order ahead of time, but they've been super accommodating with my last minute orders as well. Their prices are honestly quite good for the Yorkville area as well and I've seen baked goods and cakes go for much more around here.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Second, the guys who run this place - polite to everyone - smart storekeepers. A smile and a polite word keep people coming back. Now to the important stuff: A huge range of chocolates from the United Kingdom ... OMG ... toffees, choccies, the works. Some really good biscuits and good, old British "crisps" (Walkers). This place is my not-so-secret indulgence ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ahhh ... yes! Their products are very, very fresh. They pay attention to expiry dates. This is important - you are paying premium dollar for imported choccies and biscuits and you want them to be fresh (which they are, here). Enjoy! P.S. And if you're into it ... they also carry TINNED HAGGIS from Scotland.

I can't believe the experience I just had here. I've been coming here for 10 years. Despite the…read moresparse selection, the stale bulk candy and the expired goods, I came here because I loved the idea of an independent candy store. I will never again enter this business. I spent over $50 on a few items. The owner gave me an itemized receipt. As I was leaving the store, I saw that I was charged for the jumbo version of two items I purchased. I went back to the owner and respectfully showed him the receipt and the items. He was incredibly defensive, scanned the item and showed me the item was marked at the price it should be, but still showed as 'jumbo.' I asked him to scan the jumbo item so I could see I was not being charged for a jumbo and it truly was a system error. He scanned it and nothing was showing up. I'm not entirely sure on this point - but I feel like he was trying to enter a higher price for the jumbo as I stood there so he could justify the incorrect price. I asked for either a refund or to be given the jumbo item since that's what I was being charged for. I don't care if there's an error in your system. Fix it - it's not my problem. The real problem was how this was dealt. The owner wouldn't let me get two words in. He spoke over me for a solid 5 minutes. I kept asking if I could be given the courtesy of explaining what was wrong since he clearly wasn't understanding. I said 'I've been shopping here for ten years. Can you please just let me explain what the problem is without talking over me?" And he said "I don't care. This store's been open for 25 years. It doesn't need you." I was floored. Just a verbal barrage of condescension and abuse. It's a shame. Ten years of patronage out the drain. It's funny that he wrote a review on here asking patrons to give the store another chance. After that display, I'm making it my mission to spread the word on how you shouldn't. The service was the worst I've ever experience in my life. Half the items I purchased are literally expired. Everything is insanely marked up ($10 for a 180g chocolate bar, $3.29 for a regular sized push pop that's not imported). You can also find most everything elsewhere. Bulk barn has a great selection of Jelly Belly's. Also - check your receipts before leaving.
