Located next to stop n shop , a huge plus is the private parking lot in front which is a relief from the nightmarish hell in finding parking in Flushing. Clean and nicely decorated with artworks that nod to the Vietnamese culture , pho metro has a big space and great service. They have an assorted menu ranging from rice dishes salads and even dessert and drinks. We ordered on recommendation from the waiter the grilled shrimp summer rolls and this was a game changer. The texture of the shrimp which was perfectly charred along with the soft and fresh wrap (I despise old rice paper because it becomes extremely chewy) me and my friend agreed this was possibly the best summer roll we had in awhile. The pho was so good we were quiet while slurping up the dense layers of the soup, I tasted hints of lemongrass and the pho didn't taste as powdery as places such as pho best. Came on a Sunday when most family food spots get busy, and while there were a decent amount of people here, we were sat right away (party of 5) and placed our order quickly. Meat marinated to perfection. Portions filled me up well for the price. Remember to ask to hold the nuts if you're allergic! The space is very clean, with booths on one side, half booths on the other, and 2-tops down the middle. Music not too loud and large windows letting natural light come in made the experience fresh and new, yet familiar with the quality of food greater than what you'd expect. Other plus: PARKING! There's a parking lot directly in front of the restaurant and also a much larger one across the street. I know this is a pho place and their pho is really good, but my favorite thing here is their iced coffee. It's the best restaurant coffee I've ever had. Now onto their pho- the broth is flavorful and the portion is huge. They serve it with a lot of noodles, which is obviously super filling. Away from the heart of Flushing, it can still get pretty packed, but their service is quick so you wouldn't have to wait too long. Stopped there about 2 hours ago to try out their food. They just opened up, 1 month ago I think. It's a nice clean, with bunch of tables with comfortable seats. The waiters were nice and the food was good. It's not spectacular! And I will explain why in few minutes. They greeted me and my friend when we walked in to the restaurant what a good start. The time I went which was around 5ish and there were only 2 tables. They don't have a lot of things on the menu so it's easy. When I looked through the menu there weren't seafood pho! That part was a sad part for me because I'm a fan of seafood not a meat fan. Someone on yelp said #5 on the menu were good so I did get that. I liked the broth but I didn't like the noodles. I thought pho noodles were gonna come in my noodles soup or vermicelli noodles which I was expecting. I only drank the soup and I switch my bowl with my friend because I like vermicelli noodles then the noodles I got. Also the amount of the food you get it's little unlike other places I go have my pho.. My friend said he felt hungry still. My friend ordered #20. We also ordered the #44 dessert menu, spare ribs and spring rolls. The banana bread with vanilla ice cream was just okay. It's nothing to brag about. Nothing special to it. Wow... the food here is so delicious. We ordered pho, vermicelli bowl, lemongrass chicken, spring rolls, and their famous garlic wings. The food tasted so authentic. I love the choice of music- tropical house. It sets the tone for a relaxing environment. The staff was so accomodating - Darwin took care of us. Pho metro was our last stop for pho in the area of flushing. It was a last resort. When we entered we saw a great amount of diversity in the shop and were welcomed by a nice Filipino staff. They mentioned all the specials esp the salmon appetizer. We opted for the papaya salad, the beef tai pho and the duc viet bun bowl. Having all of these prior at many Vietnamese eateries in houston- I would say it was very average. The noodles had an odd texture, almost a rounder or shorter than most noodles I have had in the past. The soup was clear and pretty subtle. The meat was ok and a little skimpy but all around very standard. The oddest thing though I noticed was there was no cilantro to be seen with my noodles. Moving onto the bun bowl, my friend said he enjoyed it a bit but that it was pretty bland all in all. The papaya salad had an odd dressing- maybe too overpowering and not in a sweet fish sauce way but almost like a caramel taste? It wasn't the best. It was clean, average, a little more expensive than what I'm used to, just don't get the papaya salad. I wouldn't say I had the most authentic experience either. read more

it's alright... Given that queens do not have many good Pho restaurants, this ranks slightly above average. i would give it 3.5 stars if I can. Food is good. Pho and Bun are my go to's. Portions: a little small. I am an average eater (male) and I would order three orders if I went to Pho Metro with another male. 1.5 orders of food per person is ABOUT RIGHT. Don't bother: The Pork Chop rice dish. bland, rough, just....NO. NOTE: This is located not in the MAIN parking lot but tucked away on the side where the liquor store/ car wash is. Whoa! I can't believe I've been in queens for almost three years and hadn't heard of this place! The food was amazing. I had the Pho Dac Biet as my main meal (number 1 on their menu) and shared the Bun Dac Biet with my friend. The restaurant was immaculate, followed protocol for Covid, ( we ate inside) and the staff was just spectacular!!! We were too stuffed for dessert but Darwin surprised us with a sample of their iced coffee which was delicious. I'll be back!! Was around the neighborhood and decided to pop in. There's plenty of parking space and not very busy at 4pm. The workers were very friendly and the service was really good. Inside, there were a lot of groups of young crowds, which made it a little noisier than I wanted. On to the food, I wasn't expecting much based on where it was located, but the appetizer really exceeded my , I was hooked! We ordered the spare ribs, and this was bomb. It was juicy and tender and tasted really lemongrassy. Tip: Squeeze some lime over it to really bring the flavors to the next level. The bun bo hue was tasty and the pork chop over rice was decent. This place is far from the popular neighborhoods but damn the pho... I got #1 which had different cuts. The soup is awesome.. like really awesome. I could just drink it like juice. Their portions are pretty good for less than $10. The spring rolls that I got were great too but nothing out of ordinary. They were a little expensive since it was 4 pieces for $6.50. The spring rolls weren't that large but it did come with lettuce, herbs, sauce, and picked vegetables. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The tables are far apart and gives you privacy from the other customers. The interior may not be instagram worthy but it's nice enough for a decent photo. Pho Metro is a great new addition to the old Pathmark center. It sure beats trekking all the way to Flushing or Elmhurst for good Viet food. I ordered the bun with grilled pork, spring roll and grilled shrimp. It comes with two whole grilled shrimp. The grilled pork was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry at all. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their pho dac biet with rare eye of round, brisket, tendon and a couple of meatballs. I wish it came with omosa. The papaya salad was just okay. Wouldn't order it again. I see myself coming back here if I want a quick Viet fix. Just ignore the DVD lady and the sketchy characters wandering around. Wish they'll expand their menu in the future. P.S. Came to pho metro like two weeks ago... I think it was probably a Sunday? We came in with a particularly large party actually, like probably about 15 at like 4:00 pm or so. Well, there were a lot of orders, so I think they probably tried their best, but long story short they forgot evereyone's order but mine. When everyone had their dish, and I was still waiting, they came over to me to ask what it was again i ordered. I got kind of annoyed here, because instead of telling me straight up they forgot about my order, they denied it when I asked them if that was the case, even while everyone else was already eating. The food was fine. I ordered a spicy broth, but was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't a different kind of broth, but simply the same beef broth but with chili oil in it. This place is located a tad off Main Street, Flushing. Everything we had ordered was tasty, or resonated quality. Saw a YouTube video (shout-out to China Mac) that stated the broth is cooked for 24 hrs.. I did leave the place still hungry, as the portion size isn't as big as your typical Vietnamese restaurant. We were greeted by a host, showed our COVID passes and were promptly seated. Our server Darwin was incredible!! He was extremely warm and accommodating. My fiancé ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee and I ordered an iced one. I didn't really like mine since it was a little to bitter for my liking. Darwin immediately switched it for a Thai iced tea and gave me a to go cup in case I wasn't able to finish it. My fiancé ordered the #1 which is a beef soup and he loved it. I wanted a super spicy pho and told Darwin I don't eat pork. He recommended a beef pho and chilli paste on the side so I can adjust the spice level. For dessert we tried the banana pudding and flan, both I think we're really tasty. All in all, great food and excellent service! I would def come back for Darwin's service alone!! read more

Really great Vietnamese cafe. The Pho is very well flavored, and their vermicelli noodle dishes are very tasty - I try not to eat much meat but wow their grilled pork and chicken were sublime...(sorry animals). They also have amazing Vietnamese iced coffee - you know, where the coffee is super intense, aromatic, and dripped from that little metal top. And oh yeah, condensed milk. Bam. This is part of a little strip mall that's part of the larger Whitestone Lanes strip mall - free parking. Also across the road from Whitestone Cinemas - so if you're looking for a cool place to eat dinner (or strong coffee) right before a movie, check this place out! (P.S. Friendly and fast service. Modern, very open and feels clean. The food was delightfully tasty. The pho noodle soup was good! Broth was yummy and not overly salty. Doesn't make me massively thirsty afterwards. The Viet coffee is superb! With less sugar, it was perfect. If you try the coffee, don't bother with the Thai iced tea because the flavor lacks compared to the coffee. Also tried a vermicelli with grilled shrimp, bbq pork and it was so good! Fantastic portion for $9.75. So fresh and the taste for the meat was spot on. Got a spring roll and salad which was also good. Sad to say that they opened up less than a year ago and already have a B rating. Really a disappoint considering how fresh and clean I thought everything had been (read my last review). I mean, this probably means little to nothing for many of the people in the Flushing area, but for clean-freaks like me, its huge. I sadly wont be returning. It's a good thing they opened up Ginger and Lemongrass just blocks away from my house!! They have so much more variety than this place as well. On my last visit to Pho Metro, I ordered a pho noodle and grilled chicken dish that came with sauce on the side. This wasn't a soup bowl. I wanted to try something other than the pho bowl. It was merely alright. Nothing to write home about or more than a sentence even. It wasn't terrible but I wasn't too happy. And knowing the place had a B just put a bad taste in my mouth throughout the whole dinner. (If you're wondering, I couldn't back out and leave after we had entered. Wasn't in the cards). Another thing, the environment felt much different from the first few times I had been here. It was very loud and noisy with large parties and kids screaming. The place seemed to turn upside down from the first few times where everything was so peaceful, quiet and tranquil. The iced coffee also tasted much different, in a bad way. Not sure what has been going on in the last few months behind the counter for all of these changes to have occured. Spring rolls were pretty good but small and only 4 to an order. Combo pho was also pretty good but not standout and comparable to a myriad of other pho joints. The bun bo hue was disappointing. The broth had little taste and was not spicy at all. Also, no hock or bone in my soup. What kind of bun bo hue is this? The grilled pork chop was unacceptably dry. I'm Vietnamese born in Vietnam. I compare my Pho relative to SoCal Pho in Westminster and my parents are known to make top home cooked pho. This is one of the few places I'll go in NYC area. It's about the broth which is among the best in the NYC area. Importantly, they've listened to reviewers and added more meat so the ratio is now right. Very easy to park which is a huge plus and very clean. Cafe Sua Da is with Cafe Du Monde coffee. Service is top notch and attentive. Somehow Darwin remembered me the second time I came in. The portion sizes are a tad smaller than our fave pho place (Pho Best) (or are we fatties??) (but the couple next to us ordered three entrees too!) ... so my husband ended up getting the spicy beef salad after his pho, and that was delicious! The service is friendly without being in your face. The jumbo shrimp spring roll is bomb - the shrimp is grilled so you get a nice smokiness to the appetizer, but still very fresh tasting as you'd expect from this popular starter. I could eat one order all by myself... The vermicelli bowls are bomb - get #20, comes with grilled pork, jumbo shrimp, and spring rolls; note to self: ask for no peanuts. This is my Husband's and I go to spot for Pho for a couple of years now! Now that I have a daughter, I love taking her here and of course, she also loves Pho now!!! I love not only the authentic taste, fresh ingredients, but the service is impeccable! Darwin is so sweet, attentive, and truly a genuine soul. He took notice of my daughter and quick grabbed a booster seat, some plastic forks and spoons, a closed lid water cup, and of course often replenish our napkins lol. I was super excited to eat here because of the amazing reviews and my obsession of pho. The service was amazing and the restaurant was kept clean and cool in the summer heat. The food did not take long to come, once it came to eating the food was the problem. I did not enjoy the pho at all due to the lack of seasoning. The beef and pork shanks were NOT seasoned at all!! It was a bit disgusting eating it with the gamy taste of the meat. Not only that but the broth tasted mainly like salt. The meat also had an iridescent green color which was scary even though it's safe to eat I didn't end up eating the meat. It was a super disappointing experience due to the flavors. Take out was fantastic. The beef combination pho was packed so nicely with all the basil jalapeño and bean sprouts separate and the noodles and beef in a bowl.
