There is a special place in my heart for this restaurant. Very unassuming local and small family owned shop that serves some great dishes. Craved pho so got the pho tai here and loved the broth. Drop by and decided to try it. Its in like a old plaza. I orded Pho Tai with nuoc beo and of course wen i get home its missing. I even specifically asked the lady before i got up and asked if it was in there and she said yes. I really need to check my orders before i leave. Its so frustrating when i get food and its missing items that ive asked for and it will make their dish not as good. I also ordered Com with New york steak and in the picture theres soup of course they r missing soup. And I asked for RARE of course they dont do it like that. If you want to know what pho places looked like back in the 90s you can visit Long Thinh. The decor, tables, and style all have that old school pho restaurant feel. Mirror glass tile to make the restaurant look bigger than it is. Wood paneling as well. The pho matches the vibe too. I got the Dac Biet (#15) and their large is only a dollar more than the regular bowl. One thing that stuck out with the combo is that it also comes with bo vien. Usually bo vien is extra or seperate, but that was a welcome addition to the bowl. Noodles and meats were good. Broth was a little bit light. One other thing they do slightly different is that they give lemon wedges rather than lime. I think lime works better with pho but not a huge difference. Their pricing is also a bit cheaper than most pho places these days. The combination was 14 for regular and 15 for large but their other pho bowls were 12.50 and 13.50. They also accept credit card. read more

Super good pho. The brother looked super light when we got it takeout so we were a little worried. But it was SO flavorful. Definitely stick with the brisket or brisket and steak pho. They have so many toppings it was great. We'll be back! read more

Pho is full of msg. You'll know it after you finish your bowl and your mouth is dry and thirsty. For the amount of thirst that I experienced, this pho was more msg than labor of love. Will not return if they're using so much msg that I know. read more

Got food poisoning ... bad headaches lasting for days!! What made it worse is the fact that the food is horrible. Soup is overpowered by fish sauce and only a trace of the traditional bone broth flavor. Lots of rice noodles, but the meat is ... well take effort to find buried somewhere in the bowl. Asked for extra jalapeno ( for 2 pho orders ) but was only given FOUR slices. Stay away. read more

Ordered a BBH and Beef stew pho, it was delightful and just what we needed for the cool weather. The BBH was perfectly done although it lacked some tendons and blood cubes. The beef stew was refreshing and light, not too thick. The service was very nice as well. read more

Been coming here since I was a sophomore/junior in high school! I loved it the first time I went and I'll love it every time. They are very friendly and they give you water when you first come through. It's very casual and I like the environment (when seating was open before 'rona). I come here in sweats, I come here all dressed up, this place is really for everybody. Everything is pretty affordable too. The flavor is always the same, always delicious. Never too salty or too bland, it's always flavorful. My parents love to order from here, especially when they have a cold or a stomach ache because the soup is flavorful but isn't heavy. The noodles are never soggy. The meat is always tender and easy to bite through. Egg rolls are flaky and crunchy and have good flavor. I like to order those on the side. I go to a lot of pho places in the Bay Area, and nothing can beat Long Thinh. I personally crave eating here all the time. Whenever I leave here, my tummy is happy and I'm happy so for anyone reading this, they should come here. read more

My go-to for pho and bun! The food is ready extremely quick and quality is consistent, everything is tasty, and the prices are on the lower side - and always have been. Recommendations by the owners are always on-point, too! Although these fresh spring rolls were smaller than expected, they were still delicious and well worth its price of $3.5. It's peanut dipping sauce did the job, elevating the taste of the dish while still maintaining its freshness. We also got #40, the Bún Bò Chá Giò (Grilled Beef, Fried Eggrolls w/ Vermicelli), and #25, the Bánh Mi BBQ Gà (Grilled Chicken Sandwich). I was impressed with the quality of the food, given its prices, which are lower than many restaurants nearby. The banh mi tasted warm and surprisingly light, and I loved the flavor of the grilled chicken. Tasting the char on the grilled beef only further proved the restaurant's quality in its flavorful dishes. Love this mom and pop place, I did not know they have been there for ages. They have so many returning customers and it's a family business. Price is absolutely much cheaper than other franchise pho. Small is $8.90 Larga $9.90 Portion is very good and our regular pho place. Menu is simple and they also have rice plates Yum yum.... the owner is very nice and polite. read more

Very impressed with the quality and taste of the pho and the location. Normally we have to go to Cupertino or San Jose to get good pho. We found this place on our route home on Saratoga. We are here which is not saying a lot as the place is normal and a dive but the food is really good. Had the chicken pho which had white and dark meat in it. Nice taste and fast service. The chicken plate was chicken tighs and was good. We will be back. read more

The pho here is simply incredible! This restaurant was almost full at noon on a Saturday, and just a few minutes after ordering our 3 steaming bowls of pho and rice with grilled chicken was delivered to our table. The broth of the steak, meatball pho was phenomenal, and left a very comforting warmness in my mouth that wasn't overloaded with fat. The vermicelli noodles were also cooked well. The grilled chicken had a very delectable savoriness to it, which paired well with the pickled radish and rice. Would highly recommend giving this place a go if you are craving some quality pho quick! read more

Too lazy to cook on a rainy day and craving for Pho. Giving a try at this mama and pops joint in WSJ area. I do agree with some of the reviews on Yelp saying it's a run down 90's place. I ordered a large size of the "bun bo hue", hoping it will have a lot of noodles. Unfortunately, inflation... size of a large is a small/medium. Best Pho in town. Been coming here for 10 years plus. It's nothing fancy, but just done right. For the past 100 bowels of Pho I've had here, every single bowel came with piping hot broth, never disgustingly luke warm. Noddle always perfectly cooked. Not too hard, not too soggy. Ingredient portion is just right. I especially appreciate the clear but flavorful broth. Never too salty, oily, or with brownish meaty taste. This hidden gem is a local neighborhood favorite. Not a lot of fanfare and not much to look at from outside. You'll drive pass it a hundred times and never know it was there, but I love the low key home cooked feel. They've made something difficult look easy. You'll always get what you asked for. No surprises. Thank you. Please don't ever change. read more

I've been going to this mom pops restaurant since my two boys in elementary I believe 17 yrs now. Love their Vietnamese food the owner and their kids is like a family to us. If you passed by on Saratoga Ave definitely check it out. Their the only Vietnamese restaurant in this neighborhood the place is very cleaned all the time. I definitely recommend to everyone. Most of the time the small business is always the best food. Very friend staff especially the owner and their kids (Billy & wife smiley face) as well. read more

There is a Vietnamese place in Milpitas I frequent (Truong Thanh), and this one. Why? Because Pho Long Thinh's Pho is really tasty and the "small" is plenty large enough for just about anyone, IMHO. I usually get the Pho Tai Bo (rare steak with meatballs) - my spouse prefers the filet Pho. There isn't a super abundance of meat in it - but it's always fresh (unlike many other places we've been), and the broth is hands down the best anywhere... and trust me, we've tried at least 2 dozen restaurants in the area. Every other Vietnamese place in the area has been a distant 3rd or worse place by comparison. Their Thai Iced tea is not overly sweet or under strong. I.e. it's just right. Bun Thit Nuong here is not as tasty as the other restaurant I mentioned earlier, but as I said, their Pho is REALLY, REALLY good. We've been frequenting them for 5 years now and like the family friendly service, reasonable prices, and most of all, the Pho! Not sure the covid experience would have been survivable without the comforting food from here. Now they are opening back up with limited tables and as before, doing an obvious good job on sanitation and cleanliness. This restaurant is in a strip mall, not especially attractive inside or out, but we go (and take out) for the reasonably priced, tasty food and friendly service. Revised from my original review in 2017 to include Covid related concerns and comparison with even more restaurants we've tried. read more

I ordered take out from here last week. We ordered the pho tai, egg rolls, and some pork spring rolls. The pho tai soup tasted clean and less oily than some other soups I've tried. The pork spring rolls were not what I expected, I thought it would come with steamed pork, but it was quite different. The egg rolls were pretty good and super crispy. The food was pretty average, but for the price I really can't complain. I was very satisfied with the service. I came by around 6pm on a Wednesday and ordered in person. The food was well packaged and I was ready to leave within 10 minutes. The guy working there was super friendly and helped answer any dietary questions I had. Got it with the thin noodles and even those were soft and yummy. It could use a little bit more broth, but flavor wise it was DELICIOUS! Staff were all friendly and welcoming - their guidance was spot on!! Parking could be a challenge during lunchtime weekdays - they suggest going evenings or weekends for a less crowded experience. Would I go back? YES!!!

Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.

So I think must be good. Ordered beef noodle with thick noodle. The beef is so soft and tender! I really like the soup, is thick and full of flavor. I like a lot and highly recommend. Deep fried tofu is good also but nothing outstanding. I notice lot of people order hot iron plate noodle too, I will definitely try next time. In my list for sure and will come back for sure!
