OMG MY NEW TOP PHO SPOT!!! It honestly surpassed any expectations I may have had. The food was soooo good. We got it to go and it was fast and everyone working was so sweet and helpful. The environment is so mellow and calming I felt so at ease. We got the Seafood Pho, Vegetable Egg Rolls and the Beef Pho. Everything was amazing. The sweet and sour broth in the seafood pho was actually to die for. I will rave about this place to anyone who hears. Hello neighbors. Came to let you all know NOT to try pho Leo on main st and Guthrie I called and placed my order and was told 30 minutes. Walked in 30 minutes after I placed my order this is how everything went down. "Just one?" "No I'm here to pick my order." "Ok just wait" She didn't ask my name or any other way to identify my order. So I sat and waited until another server came out. "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up my order. The other lady didn't ask my name before telling me to wait" "What's your name?" Michelle "You need to wait." This is where I started to get upset because how are you going to get rude when I'm asking about my order. "Can you tell me how much longer it's going to be?" "Wait." He walked into the kitchen, walked out did something, walked back into the kitchen and then again came out trying to take someone else's order. I waited another 10 minutes and STILL no answer about my order. I got up and walked to the opening of the kitchen "Hello?! How much longer is this going to take??!!!" "I'm asking now you need to be patient." Over 40 minutes of waiting and you want me to be more patient than I've already been?!?!! I told them to cancel the order and walked out. Spring rolls were good but the fried rice and the pho was horrible the pho has no flavor what so ever and it came out luke warm it didn't even cook the rare steak the fried rice was full of frozen veggies it was over kill for sure and it was supposed to be bbq pork fried rice we are not finishing the food we only ate the spring rolls And then she comes over and says it cost 3.00 to use my debit card here!! 3.00 !!! Walked in at 7pm on a Saturday. Place was dead. We were sat then waiting 10+ minutes and nobody came over. Definitely did not feel welcome.

When you are in East Mesa, try this Vietnamese place. Lots of parking space, a nice little lady serves you with a smile. The food is arthetic and better than most Vietnamese restaurants out there. The place is a little dark for my liking, and I think white paint could go a long way. The noodle dish (bun) is perfect for hot summer days. read more

COME FOR THE PHO!! I myself wasn't the biggest fan, but my friends really liked this place so I'll give it a 4 star rating. The ambiance was dark and dated, I didn't like the vibes inside. But for the food, my friends all loved their pho dishes! I'm not a huge soup fan and wanted a lighter meal, so I got the A1 which is a sampler of spring rolls, egg rolls, and coconut shrimp. The egg rolls were the best part, so crispy with yummy meat inside! The spring rolls had barely any meat in them, only in half of the roll. The coconut shrimp was meh and barely had any coconut flavor, it just tasted like fried shrimp. The water tasted kind of weird, like it had a lemon flavor but none of the cups had lemon slices in them. So perhaps if you come, get the pho, since that seems to be the winner here! read more

My first pho spot in Arizona and it was delicious! I was in town visiting a friend for a few days so I knew I had to make a stop and find something to satisfy my craving. It's always so hard trying to find the perfect pho spot but this right here, is mine! I got to try my favorite, the oxtail pho with rib. Finding a good pho restaurant is good, but a pho restaurant that serves oxtail pho? Even better! The broth is so rich and flavorful but I love mine spicy. It taste just like home. I spent about $17 (I think) and that is not bad at all! I would pay that any time. The service was pretty standard. Our server was super nice and sweet. This place went from great to terrible in 3 minutes. My wife and I went there to have late lunch before I picked up kids. My wife ordered large pho for under $15 ($14,95 or something like that). I ordered a rice dish for similar price--under $15 for sure. We weren't thirsty, so we didn't order any drink or water. Lady brings us two bottled waters and gives me an unassured look, which I couldn't understand until after the meal. At the time, my wife and I looked at each other in surprise, but we figure maybe their water filter is getting serviced or whatever. Food is great. Tastes great. Portion is great. We talked about how we can make this our new "spot." We ask for bill and receive the hand-written receipt. It shows $35.42 (plus or minutes few cents) without a breakdown (itemization). We start thinking out loud.. we both ordered things under $15. Tax is less than 10%. How could this price be? And of course, the lady charged us for the bottled waters...WITHOUT EVEN TELLING US or marking the bill or anything. We actually hadn't opened either of the bottles, so we had a quick discussion about pointing it out and returning it, but since we can take the bottles with us, we just decide to pay. I'm not 100% done eating at this point, so my wife tenders the bill using my card. I'm about to sign the merchant copy, and it showed $38.42. I take the merchant copy to her and ask her what happened. And she points at the pink sticker on the wall that says something like "pay with cash save $3," and says to me, "I tell your wife already." I ask my wife, and she tells me that she was told that we can save $3 if we paid cash. We don't carry cash, and she thought paying with cash will deduct $3 off the bill. I would think so, too--by the sign or what the lady said. Are we weird or dumb for automatically thinking that paying with cash will give us a $3 discount and paying with card will just end up paying the billed amount? Great start--very sour finish. If you want to pay with cash and order drinks, this place is recommendable. Likewise if you have time to argue with them for giving you unordered bottled waters or don't mind paying $3 for card processing. You have been warned. read more

The little older lady who is usually at the register is so funny and if you decide to try this place please don't take her personality seriously or personal. Pho Leo isn't the closest option for me when it comes to pho, but it is certainly the best. The portions are plenty, the broth is flavorful, and the ingredients are good. I always choose between their combination, brisket and tendon, or tendon only. It's normally not full at this restaurant, and every time I've been here, they took the order right away and the food came out quickly. The attitude of the service is a hit or miss, but lately it's been a more positive one. The restaurant itself is dim, but pleasant. Overall, this is the place to go for pho, and I highly recommend you give this place a shot--dine in or takeout. read more

My friends and I were craving some quality Vietnamese food and Pho Leo did not disappoint. First off their service when it comes to carry out orders and making sure everything is accurate and neatly packed deserves a 5 star in itself. We ordered Leos special #1, summer rolls, Pho Tai/ Chin #17/ Duoi Bo #25/ Vegetable and some Vietnamese coffee. The broths were very rich and they each packed a bunch of meat or vegetables. The broth didn't have that strong MSG taste and the portion sizes were perfect. Flavors were on point and the meat in special #1 were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The menu can be a little overwhelming since they have so many options, but they have everything for everyone. Prices are reasonable and each entree was plentiful. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic Vietnamese food. Give them around 15-30 mins to prep your food when you order carry out. read more

Awful service. I went with my sister and the woman gave us a single water bottle to share between us without a single cup to be able to pour it into. Luckily we're sisters and din't mind sharing the bottle. Egg rolls didn't come with shredded carrots and daikon or lettuce and we had to request it. They did not have nuoc beo (onion oil) or chili oil to add into the pho. This place is very stingy and barely gave me any basil and beans sprouts to add to the pho and the fish sauce that came with the egg rolls was about a tablespoon worth. I'm well versed in eating pho, being Vietnamese myself. The lemonade ordered was so tart and not sweetened and the iced Vietnamese coffee I ordered was barely chilled and tasted a few days old instead of fresh. Pho Leo has delicious Pho. This is my favorite because it's authentic. I'm kinda boring and always get rare steak Pho. My daughter, on the other hand, is very adventurous and loves the tripe and oxtail. The spring rolls and egg rolls are so good and the prices here are reasonable. The service is fast and there's always parking available. The ambiance could use updating, but I will let it slide since the food is so good. read more

I'm Vietnamese and have had lots of pho in my lifetime from many places all over the world. That said, the pho here was very disappointing. We ordered via Grubhub, the broth was hot, but the noodles were refrigerator cold, which is strange. Not a big deal, I'll warm those up along with the broth, the issue was the broth was extremely bland -- barely any flavor. Adding lots of hoisin sauce couldn't save it. I even added pho base, which couldn't either. Maybe it's because we ordered closer towards the end of the night (before 8pm Saturday) and they just added a bunch of water for tomorrow's batch, not sure, but the pho fully missed the mark. The Nem cuon was also mediocre. Most places have a fried egg roll skin inside. On the positive note, the portion was good. read more

In a small strip mall on main Street, pho leo is a great place to grab delicious Vietnamese food. Can't ever go wrong with a nice bowl of pho but they have a good mix of other great Vietnamese food to choose from We really wanted to grab a bowl of soup and pho leo came to mind on how great the soup is. We ordered a large bowl of the pho with brisket and rare beef. First off the portion is huge and easily can be shared by two people. The broth is delicious and the addition of all the sprouts, lime and meats, it's a great soup. Adding a little of the Sriracha and plum sauce, it's just the right amount of sweet and heat. We did get some shrimp spring rolls too. It comes in 2 and they are one of the largest spring rolls I've seen. Probably around 6 inch in size, it's got all the elements of a great spring roll and the addition of the peanut sauce, it's a great side dish to order Pho leo is a great place to grab some good vietnamese. I'm looking to come back to try out some of the other great dishes. read more
